I'm amazed at how poorly run a long established business is. After several attempts at fixing the same problem, we are waiting once again for the "parts" and appointment. Problem is no one knows what's going on. Babies in the background when you call service. Tell me my dishwasher and stove is on the ticket yet my refrigerator is the problem! Parts are in yet there not in! Bottom line, no one knows and no one cares.

“PC Richards extended warranty is not worth the paper it is written on”

I have an extended warranty on my LG refrigerator. I have been without an operating refrigerator/freezer for over 6 weeks. Three attempts to repair the unit have all failed. They have no idea what is wrong and when I call customer service they could care less. I wonder how long would any executive at PC Richards do without a refrigerator? I am disappointed and disgusted with the service I have received to date.

Bought a washer in 2021 washer will not turn on. I set up a service call the tech came told me he needed to order a part and would get a call for another service call.Next tech comes tells me wrong part was ordered and would need to come back next day get a call part is in but will not be able to service for 2 weeks. I waited the 2 weeks tech never showed up.called they told me sorry but no appts for another 2 weeks i waited again no show! Now today they are suppose to come they gave me window of 7am to 7pm. I been waiting over 6 weeks for my washer to be fixed and just getting the run around never again pc richards!

After purchasing a refrigerator and having it serviced multiple times for the same issue, PC Richard had me come in and pick a brand new refrigerator because the warranty company wouldn't replace it! Love PC Richard.

I ordered a Nikon D7000 with a lens for a great price. It gave me a final price at checkout of 1349. 00. Today, I got a call from them trying to sell me a longer life battery and I declined. He told me the battery I that came with it took 10 hours to charge and only lasts 30 minutes! I told him I would get the accessories at my Navy Exchange because they were cheaper and no tax. He then questioned why I didn't order the camera from them and I told them they were out of stock due to the tragedy in Japan. He then stated I wouldn't be able to find any accessories anywhere for it there, either! He then told the the final price was 1459. I asked why it wasn't the price I checked out with last night online and he said there was 107.00 of shipping insurance. This should have been noted on the website. Fraud! I just canceled my order!

The salesman at the Newington store, Chris S. Was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and patient. It's always a pleasure to shop there when Chris is there. After looking at the many washers and dryers on display I chose the Samsung front load washer and matching dryer with pedestals in champagne. The color was beautiful and they were easy to understand plus they had an app for my phone so I would know when they are done. The delivery and set up was great, it's nice to have experienced delivery people that know how to set up your appliances. I am very happy with the Samsung washer and dryer, they are quiet and efficient, I love the steam feature for wrinkles. P.C. Richard's in Newington is the only place I buy all of my appliances, they have outstanding service and delivery, there are many appliances are on display to chose from and you can't beat their prices! I have attached a photo I took in the store of the Samsung washer and dryer I purchased, the pedestals are not shown. I hate spending money but when I have to I always go to P.C. Richard's in Newington because I know I will get the best product at the best deal.

This review is more about customer service then the actual store. I bought my new refrigerator and upon installation I had a flood in my basement due to faulty connection of the ice maker. I had a lot of items on my shelves that were damaged ranging from watches to clothes to cameras. I called my sales person who told me he could not help with this and I had to call customer service. Customer service sent someone out in a few days to fix this all the while I was collecting water in buckets. No one responded to my damages so I called back and they told me that the claim was closed because they fixed the problem. After a long conversation they reopened the claim as no one had addressed the damage the flood caused. I was told someone would call me in 72 hours to handle this. It is 3 months later and nothing has been done. I keep calling and every time they tell me it's closed and they have to reopen it. My basement is still in disarray. I don't want to remove anything as I am assuming an adjuster has to come to assess the damages. I would never purchase anything from them again. Can u imagine what would happen if I did not pay the bill for my fridge. Very frustrating and disappointing. DON'T BUY HERE. There are plenty of other stores where prices are the same.

On November 12 twelve I received the refrigerator along with an ice maker
November 14 I notified PC Richards that the ice cube maker in the deco was not working no
November 14 spoke to Carlos Martinez
November 15 no indication of service call spoke with Moody was told he would set it up
November 16 Ramon said to call myself and schedule
Dec 3 someone came to 'fix' ice maker
Dec. 7 another try to fix
December 16 a new refrigerator was installed along with a new ice maker I was charged $200 for a new line to the icemaker

Nov. 12
Also removal of old fridge 1,000
Tipped driver $100
3 other workers 100 first try

Dec. 16 charged $200 cash for new line,
Plus tips to 3 $60

I am now out $1660 not including cost of refrigerator

I have been a customer at PC RICHARDS for many many years. I have been buying all my appliances, tv etc with the help of an excellent, knowledgeable, competent, dedicated salesman GLEN HOPKINS. Glen has sold me the best appliances, guided me in my purchases and I have never been disappointed. I recommended Glen to many friends, every one appreciates and is grateful to have received such great service. Keep up the good work, such service is rare nowadays.

Had a wall air conditioner installed last summer, the installation team was incompetent to say the least, they make sure that an electric outlet is in place before installation meanwhile the whole in side of house was cut out and the air conditioner cord did not reach the outlet, I had to pay an electrician to come move my outlet, I complained via a customer service survey that I received after installation and submitted with photos and received a response that my review did not meet their criteria to be published on their site, meanwhile never addressing my installation failure, yesterday, less than one year from installation I uncovered the air conditioner to find it literally falling out of my wall, Avoid This Business At All Cost!

I bought a washer there and everything with the ordering process went fine. When the guys installed the washer, they removed the shipping bolts (correctly) but then took them rather than leaving them with me. Why is this a big deal? Well now im looking to install a pedestal and the first thing they tell you to do is install the shipping bolts and tip the machine on its left side. I contacted PC Richard right away about this and told them I wanted the shipping bolts. They told me 1 "No one ever needs/wants the shipping bolts" (hard to believe). 2- I can tip the machine without worrying about damage (Manufacturer disagrees) 3 - They could install the pedestal without the bolts (for another fee:-()... All this is BS. The installation instructions for the washer explicitly say - "Remove the shipping bolts and save them"... Seems pretty clear that they recognize the consumer may need them. PC Richards installers made a mistake which I can understand - However they should rectify what was clearly their error rather than stonewalling.

The washer itself I have no problems with so far so I guess thats a silver lining

Yes, capital letters. This business is a SCAM! Specially the extended warranty, they do not honor it.
Stay clear, buy anywhere else. The Forest Hills store we used is nothing but a big scam!

We bought 2 appliances in the fall from Dion (Lawrenceville NJ location) He answered all our questions, and had great costumer service. We were so happy we went back to him specifically to help us get our 3rd appliance. We did have an issue with this appliance. HOWEVER Both Dion and the Service department were great in helping us with our issue and resolved it in a timely matter. I would definitely recommend Dion in helping you with your needs.

On 8/6/2023 my new refrigerator I bought in January 2023 stopped working. They sent a technician out he told me the computer system was gone and with all the other troubles I have had with it, he's sure it's defective and I should have bought a Samsung! I then called cooperative to find out what decision has been made concerning my refrigerator and I was told that their technician put in his report I refused service, and I Continually told him I never said I never wanted service and it was his technician who said the refrigerator was defective. My word ment nothing. Since then no some has stepped up to correct the problem with my refrigerator. I asked for a supervisor and was put on hold for over 50 mins and had to hang up. To this date 8/31/23 NO one from cooperate and or service company have reached out to me! Shame on you for treating your customers at such a low level of customer service and even worse at cooperate level. You need to take an immediate look at who is representing your company at cooperate level.

WOULD GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR IF POSSIBLE. PURCHASED LG WASHER DRYER COMBO FROM THERE NANUET STORE. SINCE DATE OF PURCHASE THE MACHINE HAS BROKEN DOWN THREE TIMES. TIME AND TIME AGAIN CALLED SERVICE DEPT/STORE MANAGER ONLY TO BE GIVEN THE RUN AROUND. TOLD THEIR EXCHANGE POLICY IS WOULD REPLACE MACHINE IF SAME PROBLEM 3 TIMES. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM WHICH HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY THEIR OWN SERVICE PERSON, BUT STILL REFUSE TO REPLACE. HAVE BEEN WITHOUT USE OF THIS MACHINE SINCE 5/27/21, HAVE TAKEN TIME OFF FROM WORK AND BEEN SUBJECTED TO THEIR RUDE AND UNTRAINED CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT AND MANAGERS LIES. SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF STRESS AND AGGRAVATION, DONT BUY THE LG WASHER DRYER COMBO AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO BUY YOUR APPLIANCES. THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST.

I will not give any star if there is a choice. My dishwasher is leaking when idle, I did not think it should be something wrong with the dishwasher, because it is so new, 1 year and 10 month since PC Richard installed it. We asked professional plumber to examine plumbing. Plumber found out the water inlet on the dishwasher was cross threaded caused by improper installation at beginning. We were very angry at this sloppy installation. We called PC Richard customer service, the phone call goes on for 2 weeks, is always hanged up. When I finally got answers, the representatives argued that it past 12 month guarantee time, they will not be responsible for it. I think they are wrong, they should be responsible for the impairment, because we have evidence showing that the damage is caused by their improper installation. A company should be responsible for their careless, sloppy work, so they can learn it, then do better jobs. The worst thing finally came, I asked to speak to their supervisor, the supervisor is what I have never seen a person such an evil. He answered my phone with gritted teeth, with a tone of a bloodless terrorist: "No body will change the company's decision!, I will not dooooo it!". I almost throw up. A supervisor in a company is in such an anxiety, they must be going bankruptcy soon. I hanged up.

I bought a dryer from them at P. C. RICHARD IN FRANCIS LEWIS BOULEVARD -that broke 3 times. It is under warranty and I made an appointment 3 weeks ago over the internet for service, They were supposed to come tomorrow morning. They just cancelled the appointment over email tonight saying that if it was cancelled in error to call them. I called and they are closed! I called the store and they do not help
I WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. WORST SERVICE EVER AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

I am a 58-year-old woman with Fibromyalgia, my son bought me a watching Machine because of my condition I can't go to the laundry mat. This was a Christmas of 2021 gift, but I got it by the end of February. The machine never was able to wash with cold water, that was the first issue, I got my supper checking on all the connections, which were fine. The next and final big problem was while spinning it made this awful loud sound, as if it were about to fall apart or explode, it was frightening. Something broke inside, because it floated the place, water was all over. A while after they send a technician to evaluate the problem. He was very thorough doing his inspection, explained to me what happened. And wrote a report so PC Richard would make the decision on the next steps. He also told me to give it a week, that was end of May or beginning of June, well, this is August 2022 and I have yet to receive the first E email about this issue. It's been a total, unnecessary aggravation in my current heath condition. Below is a pic of this machine model, don't buy it. It is the Samsung 27" WF45R*******W

I cannot recommend this company. I went in for a window AC unit. I was not told they offer a Survey service where they come out to look at your space & recommend the right unit. Given the size of my apartment they recommended a 10,000 BTU unit and only offered one brand. They charged me $35 for a shelf saying it was legally required. I later learned it wasn't required as my unit sits in a roll cage - which I showed them in a photo. They also charged me $225 for plexiglass, stating the side leavers that come with the unit won't work in my window. I found out from my building superintendent that it was not true. It turned out the unit doesn't cool my apartment. I called the service number I was given by P. C. Richard & Son only to be told the unit is too cheap to be serviced (they only do replacements) and the reason for my problem is that I should have a 12,000 BTU machine. When calling the store I was transferred to a store manager who would not let me say more than 3 words at a time. They refused to install a new unit without charging me a $200 installation fee, despite being told the warranty included free delivery & installation. Please think twice before doing business with this company.

I called Pc Richards for service on my refrigerator, and stove. I was told that after three service calls that I was eligible for Exchange I was excited. I was put in contact with Omar K, one of the managers at the Broadway store he is an impeccable person. With great empathy. He took care of my every need.he made sure I got what I wanted.He always came to the phone when I called. And believe me I called a few times. LOL, If I wanted to change something he changed it To the best of his ability.the reason for this review is that I have never experienced such a compassionate person who is willing to go above and beyond for me. When I was pushed around from person to person on the past. When I got to him. Everything was taken care of I'm writing this because when you walk into the store this is the type of customer service experience everyone should expect. Omar k is the best. Hands down! There is nothing like impeccable customer service. So A special thank you Omar k. Broadway store... you rock.! Thank you Loyal customer R. C

Well where do I begin I'll start with her name (Lois) I called the store and proceeded to ask questions about presidents day sales on 85"tvs she informed me that she could help me, she had me at I can help you (wow no run around or waiting until she found someone in electronics). She then proceeded to answer any and all questions professionally and I had a lot. To make a long story short Lois should be commended on her ability to articulate with the customers in a way you want to be treated when you're spending your money example, I went with a budget of 1300.00 and and ended up spending almost 1800.00 normally I would have just bought the tv and left but I left with a 86" tv a subwoofer and sound bar and two years insurance now that's what I call good customer service. I guess you can tell I'm a little long winded but Lois made me feel this way, commission well deserved, I feel like whenever I'm in the strip mall where this PC Richards is located I want to stop in and take her to lunch. That being said don't ever change Lois have a blessed career because you definitely don't treat your position like it's just a job. Your out of store some where in the world friend. Lol if there is any way you can show this review to Lois please show it to her I would like for her to toot her own horn

So not only did my refrigerator break twice and lost 1000 in food after fighting to get a credit they delivered a new one and a drier they damaged my stairs and left the garbage in front of my house
