I'm amazed at how poorly run a long established business is. After several attempts at fixing the same problem, we are waiting once again for the "parts" and appointment. Problem is no one knows what's going on. Babies in the background when you call service. Tell me my dishwasher and stove is on the ticket yet my refrigerator is the problem! Parts are in yet there not in! Bottom line, no one knows and no one cares.
I have an extended warranty on my LG refrigerator. I have been without an operating refrigerator/freezer for over 6 weeks. Three attempts to repair the unit have all failed. They have no idea what is wrong and when I call customer service they could care less. I wonder how long would any executive at PC Richards do without a refrigerator? I am disappointed and disgusted with the service I have received to date.
We were so depressed from the devastation of thre recent flooding of our New Jersey basement.
We became aware that we might lost our Freezer, washing machine and or our drier,
Our greatest fear came to reality when the freezer and the washing machine were pronounced useless.
We went to PC Richards in Jersey City where we met our new hero Tyrone Tyrone was the sales representative in Jersey City.
He showed extradentary concern for our plight and was very compassionate and understanding.
When we left the store we we very satisfied thanks to the attitude and knowledge showned by Tyrone.
It didn't end there because 2 weeks after our dryer also became useless but this time we were in a much better situation as we once again journey to PC Richards in Jersey City fully confident that Tyrone would be there to assist us again.
He didn't let us down as we were once again treated to best in class customer service,

I'm just an ordinary consumer who has been shopping at your company for many years. I have never had a problem with P. C. Richards until November of 2020. I bought my wife a mac pro 16" for Hanukkah and Christmas. When I gave it to her, she really liked it until she used it and it started getting very hot and slightly burnt her leg. The next day I went to return it and was told to return to Apple directly. I bought it from your store and they want to send me elsewhere to return.it was just a few weeks old. Not even a month. They said the only thing they could do was try to repair it so I left it with them. A few days later Larry, your service rep called and texted me and told me what he did and he also said was giving me store credit. Larry was the only person I spoke to that treated me with respect and kept me well informed and didn't try to make me feel stupid like the people in your bayside store. I went the next day to use the store credit and ALLEN from your bayside store was very nasty to me. He made me feel stupid and that it was all my fault. I spent $2300 on Mac $400 on Apple Care $150 on Microsoft Word. My wife since she had a bad experience with the MAC didn't want another one so I was going to get her an HP with some accessories. Allen tells me if I don't get the same items, I will lose whatever store credit is left. He forced me to get another Mac Pro 16" that I didn't want. I also lost $150 for a new Word as I didn't have any code anymore. Allen was rude nasty, uncooperative and made me feel really bad. About a month later after a few complaints your district manager called defending Allen because he is one of his staff and tried to buy me off with a small coupon. I want to return these items instead I got stuck with them and eventually gave it away to someone who would use it. In the end this cost me $3000 plus the price of a new HP I know this is way after the fact but this incident still bothers me especially since I need some items that you carry but I won't walk into your store again not to be treated like I was from that DISRESPECTFUL ALLEN in your bayside office. That's all I wanted RESPECT. Now I'm out 3 grand your district manager doesn't think anything wrong and I can't shop in your store.

Be careful what you buy from P.C. Richards as they have different return policies when it comes to Apple and they don't make you aware and you can get stuck for lots of money like I did

We have been P. C. Richards customers through the lives of many appliances and have returned repeatedly because the value, service and reliability was always as promised. And we always believed that the prices were the best possible.
Now we have our doubts. In fact, I feel price gouged.
In 2014 we purchased a 1.9 CuFt GE (1100 watts) over the range microwave with all the bells and whistles—we mostly needed the large size as well as the high wattage for fast heating. Now, seven years later, we've had to replace that unit with its replacement model because the original microwave intermittently fails to heat. So it's $300 or $400 to trouble shoot and repair the older unit and we paid $239 for it back in 2014 so we thought it was reasonable to just replace it.
We did and do expect price creep nowadays but we never expected to have to pay a bottom line difference of $177.27 for the replacement microwave. And not a deal breaker, but the new unit offers fewer features and benefits. It has 100 fewer watts of heating, no accommodation for a second rack, a single surface light bulb, a considerably louder operation and a button layout that miserably failes to improve on the prior design while offering exactly the same control features. The door construction and materials must be inferior to its predecessor since when you open and close it, it sounds like a used car that you'd walk away from.
In the past, we liked that P. C. Richards had their own trucks and delivery people. Not that our guys today weren't terrific, it's just that P. C. now charges $30 to remove the old unit which wasn't the case where they had their own employees running delivery and installation. Now, It's farmed out.
So I was disappointed in the net VALUE that we've been used to. The price creep has compromised the benefits of shopping there.
But in all fairness, I didn't see much difference in pricing structure initially, when shopping around before the purchase.

To whom this may concern i brought a bed which has a ten year Warranty so my bed had a dent in it so pc riches replaced my bed that dont fit properly on my frame so when i called The Repair number I mention that my net from the frame was damaged so I text some pictures over to diamond which she wasn't No help she said I could get a frame and they sent me a rail! Dexter wasn't no help he didn't look into the matter properly so I asked to talk to a supervisor and I think his name is Gary from 125th St. I'm giving a bad review until the work is properly done and hasn't been done yet And I don't think that that's fair I will never ever ever buy anything else from Pc Richards! What kind of bs is that! Please get a hold of Dexter a nice person but don't do his job properly because he didn't look into the matter it wasn't done in a good manner and its $#*!ed up! And diamond said that they will take the frame and replace the frame out of courtesy she never put the numbers in the system and she's a supervisor not doing her job! Just give me my money back if you don't wanna give me another frame and I don't need a rail Dina Deadwiley! And on top of that they sent Russian guys that didn't know how to speak English what kind of bull$#*! is that! My bed is sliding and they left the Salt on each side of the bed! Wowwwwwwwww is this fare? NOOOOO THEY BETTER GET THIS RIGHT AND FAST!

P. C. Richards pushed me into buying a Samsung Washer Dryer from them. While doing so advised best if had installed by P. C. Richard "Authorized" service personel, since (1) the units are being stacked, and (2) Gas is involed. I might void the warrenty. This is fine, it turns out the cost worked out well with the extended service contract. Low and behold, less then 6 months later the washer devolps a drainage clog. I performed all recomended troubleshooting. Nope, this is a real clog. Call PC Rich. They can't help (Yet) Advised me to call Samsung direct. Samsung, although very nice (Overly, FAKE nice) advises that I, me the cosumer, must unstack unit (involves disconnecting the gas) and have unit in open, "Servicable" condition. Yeah, and i will serve cookis and milk and the service person can take a nap after. This, somehow does not void the warreny. Go figure. Two take aways: P. C. Richards really does not care about the consumer. They want your money only. It is all about sales and nothing more. Really, don't kid yourselves. And, Sumsung appliance are JUNK and their service is worse. STAY AWAY FROM THE JUNK. I am so sorry i ever got involved with this SAMSUNG (DAMN - DUNG) product. I am seriously considering putting it to the curb and take the $1900. 00 loss. No joke! Absoluly dissapointed in both companies. (One star given becuase NO STARS is not a choice)
PC RICHARD HAS VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I WOULD GO TO BEST BUY ANY DAY OF THE WEEK AND TWICE ON SUNDAY.
I purchased a washer/dryer for my mother and when the items arrived, we learned that my mother's apartment could not accommodate the voltage of the dryer - completely my error. However, it is next to impossible to get ahold of customer service. I was on hold multiple times for 45+ minutes attempting to schedule a return pick-up date and each time they would disconnect the call.
When I finally was able to speak to someone (after at least 5 previous attempts), she scheduled a pick-up for the item. I was informed that a restocking fee would be subtracted from my refund, which is fair since the initial error was mine.
They picked up the dryer on July 8th and I have yet to be refunded for the item. I've since contacted them numerous times. I was finally told that they issued the refund on July 30th and that they couldn't do anything more to help me. I initially paid through PayPal and I've used PayPal for many years. They document EVERYTHING and I've never had an issue with payments or refunds, so I find it hard to believe that the issue occurred on their end.
I've filed a dispute through PayPal and they are taking the issue up with PC Richard. I've always had great experiences with PayPal, so I'm hopeful that they will get to the bottom of this issue and get me my money back, but I'm livid that it's already been over a month. They got their product back and I should've gotten my money back a long time ago. This is the first and last experience that I will have with this company. I want to be forgiving since I know that Covid has caused delays for so many companies, but I can't forgive the fact that my interactions with customer service have largely been negative and entirely unhelpful, so on principal, I will never spend another cent in their stores.

I purchased a Panasonic FZ40 zoom camera. Before I opened it, I decided to exchange it for a Nikon S9100. After a careful discussion with AJRichard's customer service person, describing the fact that I didn't want restocking, etc. fees added, I sent the camera back. I called, after UPS delivered the camera to AJRichard, and they stated that they'd received the camera. They couldn't, however, make anything but an even exchange. I was to get an S9100 and an extra battery, which I had stated I didn't want, in exchange for the full cost of the previous transaction. When I stated I wasn't happy with that arrangment the customer service person stated I wasn't being charged a number of other charges, including restocking, remailing, insurance, etc. on the exchange. No matter how I tried they wouldn't cooperate and give me the camera I ordered in the way I ordered it and a refund of the extra charge. Realizing they had my money and my returned camera I told them I recognized how AJRichard did business and would accept the new camera, which I'm sure I'll enjoy, the battery, which I'm sure I'll use, and be done with them.
Went to the Southampton store to look at a TV that I was going to buy online but your salesman, Rob, was so helpful that I ended up buying it there.
