Stopped by PetSmart and asked for a price for trim and wash. Quoted $88.00. Dropped off dog and got call that due to heavy matting behind ears they would have to cut that area close and it would cost a little more. I went to pick up dog and they had shaved him. Then I went to cash register and they charged $154. To me that is more than a little more for what looks terrible.

Love shopping at petsmart especially once things are discounted for the puppy dogs... my doggies hit the jackpot this past Christmas w/ Santa! Now if only they would carry those snowballs all year long!

I like that they have a great selection to choose from but everything just looks so expensive. I suppose it would be better if you know what your pet really likes. The toys are ok though, nice and squeaky.

Yep, my Golden loves this place... all those great smells and stuff. Plus, he doesn't have to wait in the car.
Between me and you, I'm not too sure that this conclusion will hold up to scrutiny... I get the same reaction at any store that he can go into. Hmmm, makes you wonder...
Nonetheless, every pet supply (dog) that you could ever need/want for your pooch. Check it out!

Have been bringing my dog here to be groomed for about 5 years. They offer a veteran and also a senior discount, both being 10 percent off and can be used together, making grooming much more affordable. Thanks Petsmart

No need to spend top dollars on special diet foods from the vet, chances are petsmart carries a brand that has the same benefits but for 1/3 the price.
I also thought it was funny the cashier showed my the dog cookies and convinced me to try one and LOL tasted like a real cookie.

We took our dog to the Petsmart Pet Hotel in Houston, Tx. We left him for four nights while we went on vacation. When we came back early, he smelled very orange. His fur felt like they had poured orange goop all over him and slicked it down. It was nasty feeling. Second, he was in the play time area when we arrived and looked like he was trying his best to stay awake (scared). Last but not least, he had evidentially crawled on top of his crate and peed on everything under it. Toys, carrier, blankets, and everything else smelled of dried pee. I don't think they even checked his area while we were gone. Very disappointed. We will never leave our pet with them again.

PetSmart is a lovely place to go shopping for your pet, however, sometimes, there are employees who are rude or don't want to help you out. This happened to me a couple times when I just wanted to ask a question about their services. However, after choosing a different location, everything flowed a lot more smoothly and the prices were great

Not bad, but to pricey and the stores have a lot of employees that pretend to have knowledge of the pets and products they sell. On different occasions with different animals I have, I've been given wrong or simply not true information. I was looking for some heavy aquarium decorations because my oscar fish was tearing up his tank the bigger he got. One employee asked me what I was looking for and when I told her, she started to try and sell me a 'friend' for my Oscar saying he's lonely and would be a calmer fish if he had another fish with him. She clearly knew nothing about Oscar's... they will quickly KILL any 'friend' you'd put in with it! I do like that they hold animal adoptions in their stores.

Our local PetSmart (Seabrook, NH) has some of the best customer service ever. They are always available to help us find items, carry heavy things to the car, and even give coupons out. A great place to shop for pet items in a friendly environment.

Yesterday I had an appointment at Petsmart on Narcoossee Rd with Kae C for a full grooming session for my 8-month-old goldendoodle. I have to say that Kae is the worst groomer I have ever dealt with. My wife and I spent 10 minutes or so explaining what we wanted and stressing to her what we absolutely did not want. Left our dog for 4 hours and came back and she just shaved the dog. Did not clean ears, facial hair (what's left of hair) was cut uneven, his skin around private parts were lacerated, nails were cut so horribly uneven. Wow! I would fire her in a heartbeat if she worked for me. Do not use her as you will regret it! Horrible service from her, we have had other good experiences there with other groomers. She is the opposite of a great groomer. Beware of Kea C!

I like to look on the PetSmart website for dog supplies and then shop at the store that's close to home. I've ordered online a few times and been very happy with the services. My dog gets groomed at PetSmart. The local stores support charities in their communities so that adds more of a connection to where you live, even though they are a large corporation.

Don't do the survey. I love Petsmart. I've been shopping there for at least 20 years. Recently, a lot on line. I just finished the survey, I never do them, my 1st one EVER. Free it is not. 1st they don't tell you what the product is. I assumed it was pet related. WRONG. They are magazines. Okay. My mom likes some. But, THEN they charge you 2 $. And you have to pick 4 different ones. And not even dog/cat fancy. I wasted my time and threw my info out there. Quite annoyed.

I had lots of shopping to do around PetSmart on Manchester it would be a good day to try the doggie day camp. I dropped her off at 9:00 only 2 other dogs in this small glass area, I didn't think much about it, I dropped by at 10:00 now 13 dogs in the small glass area a couple small kids slides at steps, the dogs had little space to walk no place to run. At 11:15 stopped by again, my dog saw me through the glass started scratching and barking violently she wanted out. I had one more stop it was snack time from 12-1 l will let her enjoy it. I came back only to find out if you bring a snack for your dog they are put in a small crate for an hour away from the other dogs talking about a punishment. My dog was clearly upset when I got there she whined and cried all the way home. I felt like a terrible dog owner.

I've ordered pet supplies from this site 3 or 4 times, and each time I have been happy with results. Orders arrived promptly, were well packaged, and the items were exactly what I ordered. The downside is that it's high priced on some products. I've found that going to amazon.com sometimes allows me to find better deals on identical items

I have been getting discounted pet food at Pet Smart for over a year based off a price match of a previous sale item (thank you). Today I was told by one of the cashiers they will no longer honor their previous price match and was asked to leave the store and never come back. I will be happy to spend my $200/month on pet supplies somewhere else that wants my business. I expect that the reason I was treated this way was because of an overzealous cashier and normally most of their employees have been quite helpful.

Hey, kids! Do you want to pay twice or even THREE TIMES the price for the same items you could find absolutely ANYWHERE else?
I didn't really think so. Do I even have to review petsmart? I'm pretty sure it's only their in store services and sheer size (which some patrons view as more selection) that keep them open. I go there for dog grooming, but pass on their food, litter, and anything else I could buy at another store for less than half the price.
What kills me is that they used to be a discount pet supply store. Like a walmart for pet stuff. What happened to you, petsmart?

Let me start by saying times are hard and for some of us who don't have children who have animals instead they are our life with that being said caring for them can be quite expensive. And I have 3 rescue dogs that I love more than life it self. And I do all my shopping at Petsmart which can be expensive so I was super ecstatic when I opened up my email today to get a coupon for a free bag of science diet which completely made my day you guys are awesome thank you for all that you do for our community. Banfield gives Pet Smart a bad name. It's unethical for them to continue to offer Banfield services in their stores. We bought the annual "subscription" services for Banfield. They have collected over $500 from us and we have yet to be able to utilize services. We are being told to drive 30-60 miles away from our home to have our dog's teeth cleaned when we have a Banfield outlet at our local Pet Smart. We were originally told we could use any of their locations, which was great since we travel between Northern and Southern California. But this is clearly not the case. We had an appointment that was a 40 minute drive from our house and when my husband got there he was told it was for an evaluation, not a "drop off" as the email indicated so we could actually get teeth cleaning services. Now we have to figure out how to cancel this non-service, service agreement.

Went to Petsmart on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo New York to get my puppy a haircut. I told the groomer Tricia to cut everything but his tail and the hair on the top of his head behind his eyes. I even had a clip in his hair just in case she needed it clipped while grooming him. I repeated myself to her probably 10 times. I repeated my self so much they looked at me like OK! There was also another Groomer who overheard Me repeat myself and I'm like. I'm just making sure that you do as I ask. I go to pick up my puppy who's hair I have been growing since birth he's about to be 1 Feb 19. All of his hair was cut an inch from his eyes. Curl in his tail GONE! She listened to nothing I said NOTHING! When I went back in there to confront her she said not one word no apology no nothing. Her attitude was unacceptable And unprofessional. She did a horrible job on his haircut.

I was trying to find the right food for my pet and bought a couple of their high end foods. My puppy did not do good with one after using half the bag. I returned the remaining food and got a full cash refund! No hassle guarantee!

I went into petsmart yesterday to see Santa to find out that it ended with the 19 th. So I bought a can lid. I was carrying my dog and put her down so I could get my wallet. The man yelled at me saying is that your dog she needs to be controlled she was sniffing around)
Its store policy. I wouldn't have bought it if she didn't need it. My friends said (. We thought Santa was going to be here)
So unprofessional.

Had an appointment at North Smithfield Petsmart for 4pm. I arrived 10 minutes late with my children after school after a 30 minute drive to get there. The Pet Grooming Manager said, since we were late we lost our appointment. We asked if she could make an exception seeing we drove so long to get there but there was "nothing she could do". Seemed like she wanted to get out of there but they do not make exceptions. I guess its my fault for being 10 minutes late. If you book your pet there, don't be a minute late our you are wasting your time. Good Luck

Bought our first ball python from PetSmart and in the same month we ended up buying another ball python from Petco. We noticed that the one from PetSmart was sneezing a lot more than what seemed normal compared to the other. Then we started noticing signs of a respiratory infection. We returned the snake and got our refund which sucks that they don't offer any kind of help like Petco does to keep the snake and provide veterinary help. The same exact thing happened with our bearded dragons. Bought one from PetSmart and it didn't live even a month since we bought it and it always seemed more lethargic and stargazing compared to the one we bought from Petco. It's pretty obvious they don't care for their animals as well as they put on and I'm done wasting my time buying their animals just to have them die.
