Petsmart

Took dog there (with confirmed appointment) said they were over booked. Asked me to bring him back at 2. I can't do that as I'm handicapped and don't always have assistance. They refused to allow him to just stay until 2 when they could get to him and they canceled appointment completely. Won't ever be back. Terrible customer service.

Ordered a clipper, 2 days later my order disappeared form their website. Called, they put it back. 2 days later it disappeared again. Called again and they said the item was on backorder and my order would be automatically cancelled. What modern company lets you order a product without having it in stock and then makes you wait 5 days to tell you? I will not be doing business with them again.

PetSmart in Reno on Virginia street. Grooming salon:
Twice in one week the grooming salon canceled my appointment due to employees calling in sick. Adding insult to injury, I was not even notified and drove 45 miles into town both times. ( I live on outskirts of town). This is the 4th time this has happened in a 4 month period. This last time, since I was very angry, they fit me in. However, it was the worst haircut my dog has ever had. Obviously, rushed and didn't care about the outcome. Her coat was all chopped up, long pieces everywhere, nails were not rounded and I doubt they brushed her teeth as an added feature I paid for. One time the entire grooming salon closed due to all the groomers calling in sick. Again, No calls to clients to inform them that their appointments had been cancelled. Needless to say, I will never take my dog there again. Very poorly run salon.

I been bringing my dogs here for over a year and a half, i really like bringing them here because i know they get good care and receive allot of love. Chelsea is very welcoming she really likes damn i have a brown year pitbull and a all white 7 month baby pit, i feel safe leaving them here to get their check ups and for grooming they are very healthy dogs, i even buy their foods and snacks here, dental snacks and healthy foods to keep big and strong am really grateful with Petsmart i really dont know where else i would take them if there wasnt a petsmart

I think they are way overpriced on a lot of items... it's easy to spend 100 on just a few things. The upside is the selection and seeing all the other pets. One thing, the birds they sell aren't used to people, so you can never touch one of them.

I had given Pet Smart a great review, that was when they had the most wonderful, patient and kind groomers working with them. Baylee's two groomers have since moved on to better jobs and unfortunately, no one else there has the time and patience to groom Baylee. His last grooming session, the woman returned him to me half done, said there was no charge and that I needed to take him else where because they had a lot of dogs to tend to. She said Baylee was finicky, takes up too much time and they could no longer accommodate him. I have had Baylee for 9 years, Baylee is very, very SWEET, He shows his teeth if he is annoyed but he has never bitten anyone. I don't even buy dog food at pet smart and my anymore. My neighbors have also stopped taking their dogs there. Not a happy customer!

They are a step up from their competitor which doesnt even bother to remove the bodies from the tanks or cages. They are still expensive and I dont buy anything other than food from them. All other stuff like toys etc i get online.

The best thing about this place is the fact that you can bring your animal in with you and sometimes you can find things you cant find anywhere else. You will pay dearly for it but they do usually have it!

We have 4 dogs and 15 cats. A bit much but we hate to see a hungry animal. So we are always buying pet items. We go to Petsmart as often as we can. Their prices are always lower and they have an awesome variety. Stores are always clean and people that work there are super!

I posted a review of an item I ordered. Immediately afterwards a page popped up asking if I would like to review two more items. I have never purchased either of the items I was asked to review. This makes me wonder how legitimate the reviews on the website are.

I love companies that promote Pet products and anything great for pets! This company really goes above and beyond helping pets and really cares a lot of about supporting local communities and giving back! Great brand, Great product

I have never been able to order from this website. However, maybe it's for the best that their website is too glitchy to use, because it saved me the ethical dilemma of buying from a company as unethical as Petsmart. (Animal abuse is normally where I draw the line, but I really wanted to purchase a specific product I couldn't find elsewhere.) I hope more people can become aware of the fact that every single live animal in petsmart is receiving the worst care possible, and they intentionally give new owners incorrect information on pet care. They explain this very clearly: best case scenario they sell new owners $200 worth of the WRONG supplies for the pet they purchased, and then the owner comes back in for a replacement pet for the one that died. Their entire business model is making sure animals receive the worst care possible. I'm guessing the website designer knew this, and that's why they made sure no one was able to use their website. Good on them.

I have a husky witch I had taken to pet smart to get groomed several times of the way they go through groomers the girl who had done her prior no longer there. I drop off my dog five mins later tell me she needed to see a vet the way she was shedding was not normal. My dog if Five years old and also has lost her coat the same way. And goes to the vet and is checked regularly. Young girls who don't know what they are doing but the company is making all the money off of them. Find a little local grommer my first review ever they are idiots

I like petsmart for my dogs as well as my parrots. They have a wide variety of Dog food as well as treats. I prefer PetSmart over Petco since it is closer to me. They have people from some companies that offer coupons. There price's can be a little high on there toys but they do last longer than toys purchased from other stores. KONG TOYS are the best for large breeds with strong teeth. Like I said on the review of Kong toys. I have had a kong toy for over 7yrs. So my Johnson American Bulldog can't bite pieces off the toy. That is a big plus for me. Thank you colleen.

If I compare petco to petsmart,,, theres no comparison. I think the variety of petsmart is surperior by far and in the brick and mortar stores their staff tends to be a lot more knowledgeable

If you have a current dog thats larger than a weiner dog, don't tell them, they introduce them in a TINY box. They make it impossible. Its almost like they want to keep the dogs in the tiny cages. We felt awful for the poor thing that it has to spend another day in the cage with crazy dogs surrounding it.

Anyway. I reccomend going to a breeder because they'll be more considerate and caring about giving your dogs time to hangout and get to know eachother.

Great customer service... have done quite a bit of business with them... we had a small kitten and bought the blue buffalo kitten food for her (do not recommend this brand; not just the food but the litter too). This food wouldn't soften when you would put liquid with it. That kitten died due to some neurological issue. Then we adopted one from the shelter and she ate a little bit of it and 6 to 7 hours later she threw it up and it was in the same form as when she ate it and still hard as a rock. We return the food and they worked with us and wanted to know if we needed anything to let them know.

If i could give a negative number i would. Customer service is terrible. Been trying to get an order for weeks and they ship me another persons order and i end up on the phone with them multiple times and they just cant get my order to ship. They say they have to refund my order and mail me a gift card. I dont want to do business with them. Do yourself a favor and go to their competitors.

I need to make a complaint. I wish they had more natural cat food options. They are limited to only a couple of fake natural cat food brands and this doesn't help a sister who wants her kitty critters healthy out much. So expand your line; otherwise I love your store!;-)

Customer svc lady went above and beyond to find special dog food. This food by royal canin is in short supply. But petsmart help find the food for my mother's pet. I love how they groom my mother dog and they groom my cats too. I will not go anywhere else.

I took my dog to petsmart for a grooming after the pandemic had shut down groomers for a few months. He needed grooming badly is why I took him back because my previous experience with them was dissatisfying but I had been a loyal customer for 4 plus years. I dropped him off and within ten minutes of leaving I was called and told to come pick him up.? Was told to bring him back the next day. This was a Sunday. When I arrived I was given an appointment for Wednesday and they wanted my dog who's body was shaved unevenly and face that was never touched ( he looked like a little lion) to stay that way until Wednesday. He's a shih tzu. I was told that the dog needed a break. I was absent 10 minutes. Needless to say. NEVER AGAIN

Honestly you could sum it up in just a few words. " They are just TOO EXPENSIVE! ". On one positive note, they have a large selection of things.
But they aren't spun with threads of gold and silver! They just need to simmer down and get reasonable.

I love cats and this website has many products for pets. I like to go for shopping with such a variation of products. But their costumer services are so compromised like some of their team members have attitude and do not bother to guide completely.
