Stopped by PetSmart and asked for a price for trim and wash. Quoted $88.00. Dropped off dog and got call that due to heavy matting behind ears they would have to cut that area close and it would cost a little more. I went to pick up dog and they had shaved him. Then I went to cash register and they charged $154. To me that is more than a little more for what looks terrible.

Will price match to other competitors which is nice. But the store locally pressured me into buying the new puppy coupon booklet, I believe it was 20 dollars, and then notified me that after purchasing it they only had a few of the items that they offered in the book and didn't have any of the training or the micro-chips or a lot of the merchandise. I left feeling like I had been scammed out of 20 dollars.

I took my dog to the grooming salon at the Petsmart in New Orleans on Manhattan Boulevard. He's been there several times well this time I go to pick him up and he looks like a totally different dog ears all choppy hair on his body extra short and long hair on his chest (he had lots of hair when we arrived) my baby looked a hot mess, so I called in to discuss it with the manager who tells me to bring him back so that the same girl who messed him up can fix him up. That's a big HELL NO! Instead of saying the senior groomer will do it or offering me to bring him back at a later date. I am so dissatisfied and disappointed in the service I've received at Petsmart on Manhattan Blvd till I want step into any of there locations ever in life and I'm going to tell everyone I know with a dog to stay away from there. It is heartbreaking to look at him all chopped up when he was a beautiful dog before I wasted my $68.00 + a $10 dollar tip

PetSmart in my view is an average store with plenty of products but their prices are high to average so its where I go if time is short and my need is pressing. Aside from that, its ok and average with plenty to choose from but high to average prices.

I drove 2.5 hours to get to Petsmart in Kingsport TN because it said online that they had African Dwarf frogs in stock and there are none close to where I live. The girl in the fish department told me they had none. I went online again today and it still said in stock so I called them. A nice person said they have them and they had them when I was there yesterday. Needless to say I am quite upset and disappointed in this store. Five wasted hours of driving. Hire someone who knows what they are doing!

I ordered 2 high tech pet RX-10 transceiver bark collars from petsmart.com. What I received were 2 DEAD bark collars with no way to charge them because they didn't come with chargers. They also didn't come with instructions or separate electrodes for smaller dogs. When I called customer service, they informed me that the Chargers are sold separately. But they don't sell them separately, I would have to buy the whole fence system which is $329. High tech pet is a scam and Petsmart is no better by peddling their worthless product. Not to mention the whole bait and switch part. STAY AWAY! STAY FAR AWAY from BOTH

Went to a petsmart store in san jose wanting to buy a parakeet and was told by the petsmart attendant that i needed to buy two parakeets because one parakeet would be lonely by itself. I said i only wanted one parakeet, and in response to that, the petsmart attendant said i should considered getting two parakeets and rudely just walked away from me without helping me buy a parakeet. After that experience, i went to a petco pet store to buy a parakeet without any problems. I will never shop at a petsmart pet store again after this bad experience.

We live across town in Ypsilanti Township and were just having one of those " running sorta behind days". We've NEVER been late for any other appointments with Pet Smart in the past. I called ahead, letting them know we'd be 15 minutes behind. Although, it was 10 minutes longer, pass their so called grace period. Upon arrival, we were told they could not groom our (23 lb.) Dog because we were late! Kimberly, acted like she didn't care at all that we were displeased! My dog has come home with burn marks from the razor, bleeding toenails from too short nail clips, itchy from not rinsing the shampoo out good... But we showed patience, giving Pet Smart a chance to remedy their inadequacies. Where is Pet Smarts patience toward Loyal Customers who may be running slightly behind on a particular day? DEFINATELY WILL NOT use them ever for Boarding my dog or Grooming him again!

Dont go to the dog training. You will waste your money. You keep your dog on the leash and the trainer would tell you what you should try at home. Most of the time they try to sell their products instead of training the dogs.

I have taken my dog here many times. No problems. I took her here last weekend, she can home terrified. I was looking at her paws, she has burn marks. The girl that took care of her did not care at all. While I was picking her up, another groomer was yelling at a dog. Never again will I take my baby there... HORRIBLE

Recently my St. Bernard needed major surgery and needed a big collar. Like most dogs he hates them he can be stubborn, so he will bang his head on the wall until it breaks. These guys came up with a semi-ridgid cloth collar. It was solid enough that it kept him from licking the wound and loose enough that he couldn't break it.

I have been taking my pet to Petsmart for four years. After his last grooming, I noticed he was shaking his head throughout the day for a couple of weeks. He ad a vet appointment so I had the vet check his ears. The vet came to me and asked, who does my pet grooming. I told him Petsmart. He said they did not do a good job of cleaning his ears. He showed me a glob of hair that was the size of a half a dollar. He said it hadn't gotten to the point of an infection but I needed to use a rinse he prescribed for two weeks. I contacted the corporate office. They took a complaint and said they would contact the local office. I knew right then no action would be taken and I was right. The manager called me and I explained the issue. No apology or training the groomers. I told him I will not be taking my pet back to Petsmart for grooming. He said that's fine. So before you take you pet to JIA Petsmart in Jacksonville Florida. Make sure they do what you're pay for. Never again for me.

If you believe in "pet psychiatrists" or "dog whisperers" then Pet-not so-Smart is the store/website for you. If $45 chew toys or $28 mice filled with catnip are your thing then this store/website is for you. If you have respect for yourself and REALLY hate throwing away your hard earned money on an overpriced store/website then this is NOT the store for you. Stick with Amazon, they even deliver it to your house in two days. No more walking up and down aisles that smell like your kids dead hamsters cage. No more asking clueless employees who have degrees in Liberal Arts and no NOTHING about pets.....or smarts ;)

We dropped our two Yorkies at the Petsmart hotel for a 5 day stay and picked them up 2 days early. They slept for the next 2 days and wouldn't eat. Not normal behavior for such a spirited breed! Never bringing them back.

I am very upset about the way they are handling their beta fish. The poor fish are in cups smaller than the ones I use to drink water. Most of the Beta fish are laying on their sides or floating, and are severely depressed. The water is gross, and I feel so horrible for the fish. I am torn between buying a beta, and saving their life, or never purchasing from the store again because that is just supporting this irresponsible and unjustifiable behavior.
And aside from the Beta fish, at least 80% of the staff have no idea what they are talking about. They have told me things to do for my animals or about my animals that are just not right. When I was younger they kept giving us fish, and telling us to just fill and two gallon tank with tap water, and dump in the fish. No stress coat, no conditioner, no Ph down or up, no cycling the tank, they did not even tell us how to acclimate.

I ordered online today because I was completely out of dog food. I asked for door dash to deliver between three and 6 o'clock and nothing was delivered. I called door dash and they said that it was Petsmart‘s fault that they close down before that time, but they never notified me and now I'm having to drive to H-E-B to buy dog food at 9pm and leave the kids. Super poor communication and great disappointment today that I spent the extra seven dollars to have them deliver it so I didn't have to leave two grandchildren or take them to the store. Very disappointed and I will never order through them again but I will go straight through door dash.

I took my kitten to Petsmart thinking that I'm just going to get her fixed and vaccinated and they diagnosed my kitten leukemia positive which is impossible considering her parents were leukemia negative. They tested her 3 times and pushed me for a 4th time. I decided that moment I need to take her in for a 2nd opinion in a private animal hospital and they tested her as leukemia negative. I feel Petsmart never cared about my kitten's well being and I will never go there for anything again.

On 10/20 I bought a ramp to enable my arthritic cat to get on my bed. I was charged $20 for 2nd day delivery which was promised on 10/22 or 10/23. On 10/22 I got notice it had been shipped from TX (I'm in CA) by UPS ground with delivery estimated to be on 10/26. When I called to complain I was initially told that their 2nd day delivery policy was 2 days to process and then 2 days for shipping so 10/26 was the first business day after that time. When I pointed out that the order confirmation promised delivery on 10/23 or 10/24 they agreed to refund my shipping charge but couldn't speed the delivery. Charging $20 for 2nd day delivery under their policy is misleading at best, and a scam at worst. I should have bought from Amazon.

Never taking my dog back to this grooming salon again. Today, I found out by one of the groomers that our babies are put in kennels right after their bath, while they are still wet, so they can air dry while the groomer gives baths to other dogs. I know this is a business and they care more about making money than taking good care of our babies. This is why they provide the express wash for $11.00dlls more, which includes the blow dryer. I thought the blow dryer was included in the price but apparently that's an additional price. God knows what else they do with our babies behind those walls!

Being a cat lover of a very spoiled cat, & also I'm part of a feral cat group, I need to find quality cat food & cat products. PetSmart has everything I need, & then some. They carry name brand catnips (which my little one appreciates); they carry great kitty toys; and I can buy by the case & sometimes save a little money. I recommend PetSmart for any animal lovers who want to buy the best pet supplies, and pet food. They have it. I'm especially fond of the catnip supplies that they carry. Prices are good; I buy lots of that, as well as my favorite cat foods there. They carry a large variety. I recommend PetSmart to many people, and all of the volunteers in our feral cat group go there...

1st of all the grooming department... Cut my dog's eye open and made him blind. 2nd they have a new manager. I asked to pay specific attention to his ears this I'm around. The swirl of his ear was caked brown? The cannal was wet and full of hair. Which can lead to infection!
I stated that I'm not pleased, not acceptable.
I was told that "I say that every time" huh? "get out"" and do not ever come back "? Confused, shocked, embarrassed and stumped as to why, what the heck did they say and how could they ever even belittle me as I was In front of everyone, WOW. I just wanted to leave at that point. I threw my hands up in the air. I'm not an angry person. Never a foul word with her. I certainly wanted to take my dog and get out of there. Today, I just wanna cry, she was very nasty, over the whole situation. FYI

I had 2 of my dogs groomed at this location for the past 3 years. Now they are not taking both of my dogs because they are saying one of them have "aggression". If they are not fully trained to groom a dog that is not comfortable getting groomed, then they are not qualified in my opinion. Both of my dogs, probably like any other dogs, can be uncomfortable getting groomed. I do not think it is fair for them not to groom by dogs. My dogs are perfectly normal like any other dogs. I am very upset that they are doing this to my dogs and this needs to be mentioned to upper management.

I took my Dog twice to the petsmart hotel in Reston, VA. His name is Tigger and he's a blue Cane Corso (almost 8 month old). It feels like I took him to the shelter. I requested play time for my dog and they were charging me for it and both times he wasn't given the play times and I was refunded. (I don't want the Damn refund, I bought the play time so my dog wont be locked in the room all day) Both times I request grooming that wasn't done as well. And I recommend not showering your pet before taking them there because every time I pick up my pet he smells horrible. I am NEVER taking my pet to petsmart again. I can't wait for he's banfield coverage plan to be over so I never have to deal with petsmart again.

Do NOT take your pet to the petsmart hotel.

Good selection of products. The small stores are hard on Animal Rescues that use these stores. Good discounts for 501C3 Rescues would be nice. Management needs to be more alert to aggressive dogs and sick dogs.

1. Dismal selection of fish and half of their aquariums were empty
2. Dumbass employee failed to tie off my friend's fish bag correctly causing most of the water to spill out in the car.
3. Bought 2 fish and both were sick causing one to die in my aquarium. Not only that but one of my paleatus corydoras decided to start munching on the corpse and soon after caught the same illness. Also dead the next day. Had to throw out the other fish (I bought from said Petsmart) because she was so ill that she would soon be belly up as well. Tank is now dosed with meds so hopefully the rest of the community survives. $#*! you Petsmart for half assing your $#*!.
Word of advice: don't $#*!ing buy fish from Petsmart (or at least not from the one in Grand Junction) because you'll get $#*!ed
