Stopped by PetSmart and asked for a price for trim and wash. Quoted $88.00. Dropped off dog and got call that due to heavy matting behind ears they would have to cut that area close and it would cost a little more. I went to pick up dog and they had shaved him. Then I went to cash register and they charged $154. To me that is more than a little more for what looks terrible.

Highly disappointed in my grooming services today at this location! First, i should've known it'll be a problem when after i booked my appointment the groomer called me immediately and asked me to come earlier bc she felt she wouldn't have enough time to groom him. Why make the appointment time available if its not truly available? I agreed bc i wanted to be as accommodating as possible. Fast forward, I get to the appointment and we discuss the cut i desired for my dog, which was a low cut but only trim his tail and face hair… i picked my dog up (about 2 hrs later, which usually his appointments take longer) and this is what i see! Literally shaved bald. Even his tail is completely shaved! It's to the point where i feel he doesn't even recognize himself, literally his behavior has been different since we got home. Then on top of that she tried to charge EXTRA for de-matting when he was not severely matted like she tried to say after this awful cut nor did she de-mat him, she simply just shaved him bald! Also i guess to try to change the subject, she said he was aggressive like literally they can read all of his other grooming reports at their company my dog has never been an aggressive dog or has ever showed any signs of aggression EVER! Literally this is the worst experience I have ever had. I truly feel Raquel rushed and did the easiest cut for my dog just so she can hurry up and get off. Also, he did not smell clean

Hello to all interested parties. On monday, 11-9-2020, we took our daughter to petsmart for her birthday to purchase an aquarium along with some fish, decorative gravel, etc... when we finally found an associate, the young girl appeared frustrated that she was being asked a question about some products. I'm sorry, but news flash, this is retail, and you are in customer service. Well, to make a long story short, my daughter wanted to get a 3 - 5 gallon tank for a couple of very small fish. The associate informed us that the fish needed a 50 gallon tank... YES, A 50 gallon tank for 2 tiny fish. When we showed her the 3.5 gallon tank, she said that she couldn't sell it to us... asked why, she merely replied, i just can't. It's too small... I've NEVER been refused service to purchase anything... that being said, this petsmart in roanoke, VA will NEVER get another dime of our family's business. Furthermore, i honestly hope that CHEWY eventually puts them out of business, so as to teach them a valuable lesson in customer service..

So many good products for your pet! A large selection of foods and toys. And if you go to the store you can adopt a pet. Love all the creatures I've rescue through the PetSmart program!

Walked into their girls bathroom and there was poop on the toilet seat and walls and smells so gross! My advice would be to just hold it or go to another store, if you go to the one at Shadowlake shopping Center Towne Parkway Papillion NE. They apparently don't have anyone that cleans the bathrooms. BATHROOMS SHOULD BE CLEANED!

I ordered a nap mat for my dog in blue, but received pink. The first time this happened they credited me the amount I paid and sent me a replacement $10 gift card, since I had used a gift card to pay for part of it. I reordered it and got sent the wrong color AGAIN. This time I was given 2 options via e-mail, 1: get a refund and order it again with 15% off and no shipping, or 2: they keep my $ and send me the right item (hopefully). At this point I felt I shouldn't pay anything so I called them. Their solution: They credit me $9.11 and I send the wrong one back free of charge, but not really free of charge because they kept my $10 gift card and the cost of shipping.
I AM NEVER ORDERING FROM PETSMART.COM EVER AGAIN!

Took my Tommy friend at Doggie day camp and it was hilarious. The event is really a great day in a great environment to unlock the love from pets. I enjoyed it

My family adopted a 13 weeks old chocolate lab that we named Harley Davidson. We enrolled Harley in the Pet Smart puppy school (Merriville, IN on Rte 30); but, the first week was postponed by the trainer, Harvey, due to inclement weather. So, our first training class was when our puppy was 14 weeks old. Harley is truly a puppy: excited by everything, loving and playful. And, teething. Harvey seemed frustrated by Harley from the beginning. In fact, he commented, in front of the class, that we should have enrolled Harley earlier. Both my husband and I said - simultaneously - that "we just got him". We tried the class for three weeks and things just got worse. Finally, in the third week, Harvey used some kind of dog repellant (pepper spray) on Harley, which, we found out, was against Pet Smart policy. We reported the issue and were advised that Harvey was very popular. Nothing was done. Pet Smart said that the cameras in the store don't really work so they couldn't confirm what actions were taken. "So sorry." They refunded our money and have been sending us copious amounts of coupons for our trouble. Did I mention that my family is black and the other families in the program were white. This store has an awful training program and Harvey the trainer is horrible. He has no patience and uses harmful tactics - Pet Smart will say they don't condone the bad practices but will not do anything to prevent them either. You're risking your dog's mental health enrolling in a Pet Smart training program.

Went to Petsmart in Cranberry Pa. The tech at the grooming area was lazy and acted like she was on phone everytime I tried to ask a question which was one question. The help sucks!

I have not had too many issues with PetSmart.com or in person at the store. I did order $56 worth of retriever rawhide chews and 1/2 of them were rotten so I had to throw them out. Other than that they are fine. They have curbside pickup for products you order on line which is nice. Just call from your phone and they bring it out. Everyone I have had contact with in store has been very friendly and super helpful. They are even nice to my obnoxious as heck dog. (Training is next). The only other complaint I had was I did try to cancel an order one time within 4 minutes of placing it and the recording on the number you call said to email them, I emailed them and they didn't cancel the order. 3 days later they said they couldn't do that. That was a little irritating but still it is a 4 star place. Lily (the obnoxious dog) gets groomed there and I have been very happy with that too. Last con, the dog food prices aren't special. Better prices on Chewy.com and they ship to your door. But all in all I would recommend PetSmart to anyone looking for pet supplies.

They don't have nearly the selection that PetCo does, and they are much more expensive for the same product. I don't even try and look at petsmart anymore.

Tried to buy several dog toys and all the cheap toys come up on the site but say available in store only if they have them. They should not offer the toy if they cannot supply them.

Petsmart rolled out its current site last year, and it actually has removed a lot. It now sucks so hard! You used to be able to use 6 or more gift cards... no longer. You used to be able to see your entire order history... no longer (now it is a few "recent orders"). You used to be able to edit the quantity of items in your cart... no longer (now you must delete the item and re-add it at the desired quantity). Huh? What cart will not let you change quantity of items? How is this possible they would UPGRADE their site to remove this feature? They also have no option to have an alert for when out of stock items come back into stock. What?
Me: "Hey Petsmart, I want to give you my money when this is back in stock, could you let me know when its in stock SO I CAN GIVE YOU MONEY?"
Petsmart:
"Nah, thats ok. It is so hard to code that into our site, we just cant figure it out. Plus we are just in business for fun, we dont care about making money."
They also push you to pick up in store. Gee, im shopping on your website. This means I want it shipped to me. If I wanted to go into your store I would do that. It is rediculous to pretend it is some benefit for me to pay online and then get in the car to go to the store to pick it up. Such a desperate, patronizing scheme for them to act as if this is normal.
Tons of little glitches on the site also. Add an item to your cart, and the cart pops down on the screen. When you mouse over it to go to checkout, it conveniently disappears! Huh?
The site is a complete amateur hour and has been this way for a year.

We have never had any problems with grooming or the employees in either Georgia, Tennessee, or Indiana. Maybe we're just lucky but we have no complaints with either our dog or cat.

I went to pick up my puppy from grooming area and they gave me the wrong dog, told me it was mine and they didn't have any others like mine back there. Gave me their leash to borrow to put this dog in my car. Went back in there still telling them it wasn't my dog. They finally checked the back area and my dog was still back there.
I had told them this dog was skinnier and more brown and more energetic and had white on his face not like my dog. They told me that shampoo changed color and that dogs age and change color. I showed them photos of my dog and they asked me how long ago they were taken which they were taken 2 days before I was showing them. They asked me if I wanted to bring "my" dog back in and have them try to wash the white off the dogs face because I was telling them all the features the dog they gave me had that my dog doesn't have. Spoke to general manager who told me he had no idea why they would say they had no other dog like mine back there since they had 4 labs that day. They were not believing me when I was telling them the dog they gave me wasn't my dog. This dog they gave me attacked me and scratched me everywhere arms legs everywhere. They were so insistent that that dog was mine, my boyfriend with me became convinced. But I knew my baby so I wasn't leaving until I got my dog. But yeah they finally checked the back and they were like oh yeah he was back there with his name and everything. Attached are images of my dog versus the one they had me put in my car trying to get me to take him home.

I shop at the store on Broadway in Chicago and had an abundance of choices when I went to by my pup a new bed. The store was neat and clean, and the cashier was professional and smart.

My dog is a Maltese, age 18 months and 10 pounds. She is being denied service because she nips at the clippers and some other comment put in her file. Trying to get main office and the store to explain the policy and why a lap dog is too much for trained staff. Nothing but run around and no answers but my dog's file is noted so it is a problem getting her seen elsewhere.
These type dogs are not aggressive. The dogs are small at any age- is it that the staff is unsure about handling a small dog? Shouldn't trained staff be able to manage a small dog or have ways to do so? Looks like the updated grooming protocols made in 2018 after complaints of mishandling pets was a show or handling small dogs is not a skill set at the location near me.
Whatever the problem is, my dog needs to go somewhere and flagging a puppy that does not bite is a bit much. If the store near me or none of the other stores can manage her then aren't you all supposed to suggest a vet or something? That would make sense and be a better customer service move than denying service and making other pet store grooming competitors hesitant with your flag in her notes. Or is that your intent? Make it difficult on me, my dog, and for your competitors to make money from your inability to manage a small dog that is more bark than bite?

It's a horror to ever go into our local Petfart! The animals really ARE mistreated, staff is uncaring, unskilled and UN-knowledgeable about the pets AND fish they mistreat and $ell, and the corporate bastids do NOT care, they only care about $$$ and that IS why they are currently under chapter 11 protection! Keep cooking them books and starving out the pets, you'll be gone very soon! They are also VERY Overpriced!

I love petsmart. The stores are very clean and you can get your dog trained. I recently got a puppy and I needed some pet food and him to be trained. I got him trained and got a good quality service.
