Stopped by PetSmart and asked for a price for trim and wash. Quoted $88.00. Dropped off dog and got call that due to heavy matting behind ears they would have to cut that area close and it would cost a little more. I went to pick up dog and they had shaved him. Then I went to cash register and they charged $154. To me that is more than a little more for what looks terrible.

I will only buy toys and products for my dog at petsmart. I refuse to purchase them anywhere else. The prices are a little steep but we'll worth it.

This place is excellent, I constantly come here to keep getting food and toys for my pets. I will try the pet grooming service soon.

Great experience, I needed something that I was having a hard time finding, and the sales associate went out of his way to track it down.

Smells funny but I get to pet the ferrets without having to own one.
Good selection of product for my dog and he loves their cookie bar.

My go to place for cheap pet toys. It's not good kong, but who needs kong when you have tons of China stuff?

My dog loves this store. His favorite is watching their small animals and of course his treat isle. I definitely recommend it.

We have been getting our 4 lb dog groomer at the Clifton Park Petsmart in New York for years. We just had the last one Friday April 28th and we're extremely disappointed with all the hustles coming out of there. Here's the story.
We pay for nail grinding and grooming like we always do. We get the dog back and are told they could t grind her nails because she was being 'difficult'. How difficult can a 4lb dog be? Precedence shows this has never been an issue. Okay… fine, you've changed groomers and they're not as experienced. Then we see a charge for the dog 'being difficult'. What? So here's a dog that has come to this store for years and spontaneously is being difficult so you first don't complete the job and then you charge us some ridiculous charge for it? And then the audacity to 'encourage' tipping. This country has gotten out of control with tipping but it isn't the service persons fault. Corporations want to 'reduce expense' so they, which include restaurants and now these types of institutions, pay their service personnel nothing and force the responsibility for earnings to tips. What greed. So coming back to Petsmart; not only did you degrade your service, you added some 'difficult' gimmick charge AND you want tips? Enough is enough. This was a poor experience and one that used to be a good one for us. It points to greed in all fronts.

Little pricey but overall a good store. Staff is hard to get to help you as they always seem understaffed

I saw a video where they gassed their animals that were sick or unsold. They freeze live rodents. Horrible store.

Pretty decent pet supplies and grooming here. The prices could be cheaper, but the quality makes up for it.

Petsmart is a terrible company who's policies are outdated and childish! Would never recommend buying or supporting this company!

First time experience was misleading. Dropped off our pet an old gal 10yr old. Was held for 3hours. Was informed that was getting her teeth cleaned. I specially asked if she was getting this done today and simply wasn't. When picked up my pet they info ya that they didn't check her teeth far back because she was scared, which honestly how can service couldn't be done 100% when paid for service. Before enrolling her in this wellness plan they clearly stated personally she would be taken care of and dental cleaning would be done. Never info that it would need to be scheduled another time and only be dropped off in 3 different hourly windows. The price I will be paying now is ridiculous, would of been off best to have gone with any other veterinarian well practiced and best awarded. Will be making monthly payments for what now after she won't be seen within 6mnths. Unhappy customer and mislead so I can be signed up under this monthly plan. After discussing it with 2 different people that work and schedule there.

Never use the Layton Utah pet grooming service. The agents there are unprofessional, lazy and unresponsive to customers.

Our dog escaped Winnipeg Petsmart grooming area while we were waiting for a staff member to show up at the groomer counter; after a store customer opened the grooming area door & our pet escaped the Petsmart building. Our pet was unleashed, however due to the grooming area being next door to the exit doors, there was no way I could catch our dog, as both exit sliding doors happened to be open during our dog's escape from the grooming area. Unfortunately Petsmart staff did not remind me to place our dog on a leash or offered a leash for our dog.
Petsmart staff made little to no effort to chase after the loose dog nor did they offer any assistance to help find our dog; as I am disabled. Petsmart never reached out to us for the next 24 hrs. Approx. 18 hrs later we notified Petsmart that we had found our dog safe at the local dog pound.
We had incured some dogpound fees and asked Petsmart if they would consider reimbursing us for some of the costs. A week later, Petsmart informed us that they would not offer to reimburse us for any of the dog pound fees as they deemed us 100%@ fault.
Pet Owner beware, not all businesses consider your pets their responsibility when in their place of business,

Good stock, prices are ok, very helpful staff. Stores are usually clean, some days they have a pretty bad odor, depends on the day.

The one stop shopping idea keeps us coming back. If we need anything for our puppy or rabbits, we go online first to find the coupons and then to the local PetSmart. We are bargain shoppers so we always watch for the sales and promos. It helps to join their customer club also. Prices can be high but the quality and selection is very good. When on sale, the prices are better than most for most items. About 90% of the employees (in our Tucson area store) are very knowledgeable and friendly, especially the managers. The others... well... we wonder how they got jobs anywhere. Social skills for these sullen ones seem altogether missing. The young woman at the vet clinic desk was so eager to sell us the insurance package that she ignored every question we tried to ask. We decided on the basis of her rude and pushy attitude alone that this was not the right vet service for our baby dog. Also, we had to miss a couple of weeks of dog training and, even after leaving messages, we could not get the promised return call from the trainer to schedule makeup sessions. We had to go in to the store several times until we actually found him there before we could work out makeups. One of the employees at the doggie daycare was very unpleasant when we asked her a question about the service. On the plus side, the store has a policy of inviting customers to bring their dogs along to meet other dogs and their owners (as well as to purchase services and more food, and toys, of course). Dogs must be on leash, but otherwise it is a kind of indoor dog park. We have met several friendly people and their dogs (and children) while walking down the aisles shopping there. Our puppy likes to choose her own toys and knows what she wants. So it is a socialization opportunity for her... and us. And yes, our little doggie girl has us well trained.
