My 5 year old daughter spent £30 on a game called Roblox without my knowledge or permission I researched the game and realised its not suitable for her so I contacted Google Play Support and explained the situation that she's only 5 the game is for 10+ she didn't have my permission and they've refused to refund me the £30 because it doesn't meet there policy what a joke least its only £30 and not £300
I have been having negative experiences with games which claim to pay cash which I downloaded and saw advertised on games that I downloaded from Google play,
The short of the matter is,, outside of the twelve hours per app it takes for users like me to learn that the apps don't pay out and the advertising is false, Google become an instrument for these losses of time, huge let downs and false advertising because they don't require or seek truth about these games or claims independent of what the developers or other game reps tell them, nor does Google play require their services be delivered within a reasonable time.
The app mentioned here is called Fantasy Blast., it was downloaded on Google play.The problem is I won $1,000 dollars on this app which was promised to me if I watched 30 more videos (which are primarily advertisement for other games and one repaet ad for credit Karma) and waited five hours I watched the videos and waited five hours only to be told I had to wait an additional 49 hours and watch fifty more videos without stopping...
In short Google needs to protect it's consumers from predators making false claims about their products and services by initiating a review of their products before or after complaints or negative reviews are made against them and eliminate their products from the Google play store if they are found to be rooted in creating false expectations for consumers.

Google Play now takes partial payments out of your account if you don't have the full amount for a subscription you purchased. None of the subscriptions I have accept partial payments, so I end up left with no money in my account and no subscription to enjoy. I have tried to find a way to reach out to customer service, but they're not available due to "the pandemic" - as if that is somehow a viable excuse anymore. Downloaded a tile game via just play, everything OK,till I got passed level 250. Reached 500 got nothing from just play just pathetic emails saying they hadn't received the appropriate email, 5 days of playing they advertise amazing results payments but THEY JUST SCAM YOU
Google Play does NOT work for the customer. They work for the developers. So when you attach a credit card, and it gets compromised through their service, they will do EVERYTHING they can to punish YOU for the breach, not the developer who made unauthorized use of your card. Thank Jesus Capital One actually cares and protects their customers. Rest assured, to Google, you do NOT matter at all.

I purchased an app yesterday morning on Google Play. It's purchased directly on Google Play, not an in-app purchase. Then I found the app not working as expected, so I requested a refund right away and that was just a few hours after the purchase. According to Google Play's refund policy, the refund window is 48 hours, thus that refund should be eligible. But Google Play refused to issue the refund, and their customer support kept telling me to read their refund policy, and also kept mistaking that my purchase was an in-app purchase. Then today, after having contacted with several of Google Play's online support reps, I was told that my money had been sent to the developer and that I had to ask the developer for the refund. I have told Google Play that I had contacted the developer but received no response, but Google Play doesn't care. And even until now, it's still under 48 hours after the purchase. I have used Google Play since the Market time some twenty years ago but Google Play has now become extremely discouraging and disappointing!
After more than a dozen emails and online chats, Google still repeatedly denied their fault and refused to offer the refund. Their Customer Support staff were still ignorant about their return policy's guidelines. Finally I got hold of the app's developer and he helped by initiating the refund for me. Now I have got my refund, but Google still owe me an apology and an explanation of why my refund request was turned down.

We only use google play once in a while to download books for my husband on our tablet. I wanted to download some books for him for an upcoming trip and bought a $25 google play card at our local store to pay for it. I went to download the card within just an hour of buying it and got an error message that said "we need more information, please click here". When I do that it said I have to fill out a form and submit pictures of my card and receipt which I did. I also tried calling the phone number on the back of the card but due to being short staffed, they have not live customer service to help you have to do everything on line. Well after a couple days of waiting I got my response. I got a short letter that simply said your appeal request is denied. WTF! NO reason, nothing, just "denied." So now I am out the hard earned money I spent because their system is screwed up and there is 0 customer support. I will NEVER buy anything with them again. Sad a company has to treat people this way.

I made a lot of in-App purchases through Google Play over the last 2 years (Covid-19 syndrome). For this reason, I started to keep a record of all my purchases, just to ensure I don't go crazy with the purchases. I did this religiously and never missed making a record. There was one purchase I didn't make. I contacted Google Play and after almost 2 weeks, they sent me a standard reply as follows: "we were unable to confirm fraudulent activity in this case, so no refund will be provided by Google at this time". Every time I made a purchase, I got a receipt and I "e-filed" them religiously in an e-folder called "Google Play". I have no record of it and I have no receipt. But Google won't investigate. The case is close. Period. Also, they didn't use to charge me HST, over the last 2 years. Suddenly, they just decided to charge me HST, no explanation. I used to play all kinds of games on my iPad, but because Google didn't charge HST, I started playing my game on my Samsung phone. I am going back to my iPad now. IPad made mistake too, but they look into it and refunded me. They are also polite and prompt with their investigation. I would recommend players to stick with Apple. Google is arrogant and not service-oriented.
