I ordered a $150 item and it arrived damaged from improper packaging. I reached out ot customer support and was refused a replacement, despite the obvious damage and lack of secure packaging. I'd recommend buying from other shops that know how to ship products securely.
I cannot submit an order from them because of my location. I have reached out to them several time and they just tell me they don't know why this is happening but I know other people from the same country that can submit orders. It's not an issue with my payment or my browser
I agree with the last post I read. If you order a $150 booster box it will get damaged by Fed Ex and pokemon center will refuse to do anything. They will either say the packaging is not the contents or say it is a final sale item. Either way you get ripped off. Buyer beware. Buy with people that know how to ship a booster box securely. No packaging inside a big box what a joke. Terrible.
When I "received" the item that I ordered from this company, the seal on the package has been damaged and bent over on itself, leaving a 1-2 cm wide gap along the entire length of the box. Now, the item that I ordered was a thin desk mat and when I opened the box, there was nothing inside besides the packing slip. I don't know whether it was an accident or intentionally tampered with, but in the event it was an accident, the complete lack of any packing materials likely led to the thin mat sliding out. I took this matter to customer support, who completely dismissed all of my evidence and closed the ticket without any negotiation or compensation. Absolutely do not buy from this company due to the complete lack of packing standards and unprofessionalism of their support staff. They stole my money from me.
Submitted a valid order for a promotion. Email confirmation stated promotional card would be included. Order arrives without promotional card. Open up a ticket with customer support and end up waiting a whole month for the missing promotional card. Turns out PokemonCenter.com can just accuse you of having "violated our Terms of Use" and not provide the promised promotional card. This company (the US/TPCi side) has become so shockingly terrible that it is sad. Obviously they do not care about their customers or their own reputation.
Pokemoncenter.com Review by real Dad.
I wished this place could operate like a real business where they were held to a standard and would honor what they should. They control the market by allowing bots and programs to purchase items over real people.
So I joined the party and woot my bot has paid off big time. Since you will not use simple and proven tactics to let real families and people purchase items over scalpers I said let's join the eBay club. KISS it PC employees.
I received my items damaged,
But the box they were in, was in perfect shape. And they have no customer service, or phone number to speak with anyone. And the website says my items are ineligible to be returned and to have a claim filed.
Just moved and was trying to check out fast to get new releases items before it sold out. Can't take your time checking out due to how fast items get sold out. Billing address was correct and I mistook it for shipping address and placed my order. Noticed right after I placed the order that my shipping address was not correct. I couldn't cancel or change shipping address through pokemon center. I also couldn't do anything through fedex due to shippers restrictions. No way to speak to a person through customer service. There needs to be a way to update shipping address with situations like this.
For one, they ship through fed ex...they ship collectables...through fed ex...so deliveries are either missed or smashed.
Two, idk how this always happens but when the launch a promotion, no matter how early you are, how fast your internet is or if u have friends helping you, you will ALWAYS get off checked and booted off the server. If you manage to have an order go through, they often will reimburse you. Suddenly you will see ebay flooded with what shouldve been free promotional cards and products for 100s of dollars.
The worlds biggest multimedia franchise and they have the website software of a start up company running off windows 98. It somehow seems fixed? Idk why it would be, it makes no sense how. But its insanely ridiculous
Ordered the Pokemon 151 UPC that was supposed to come with the Squirtle Pokemon Center promo card.
Was excited to get this delivered. Excitement quickly turned to anger and disappointment, as I quickly discovered that they packaged my items with no regard or care at all! Box was clearly damaged, UPC seal was broken and worst of all the promo card was completely bent down the middle!
Stay away from Pokemon Center! They do not care about their customers at all clearly.
Don't buy, no matter how much you fear missing out— items are always damaged or tampered with. I got several celebrations items and every single one was too damaged to keep for display. Workers must be opening the product with a butcher knife honestly.
I emailed technical support. They've been on maintenance for a week straight. I cleared my cache with no resolve. Funny how my iPad & iPhone is blocked but my husband's phone isn't. I know I did two orders in one day and a bunch within the week but that's because they keep putting stuff up. I'm shopping for myself as well as gifts for my family & friends. Sad they have to be this way.
This site is terrible. It keeps crashing on popular releases and if you end up being successful on ordering something it will most likely be cancelled later on without explanation. Imagine being this big of a corporation and in the business for many years and yet consistently messing up this badly with your online store? Wow. I do not recommend.
As someone who's designed and run divers if online stores; I've never seen one with both the technology and strategy designed in such a way that lets poachers totally run through all stock! You've effectively encouraged Pokémon to be a target for max profit and killed the potential joy for millions of children and fans!
I purchased an item that was clearly advertised as a certain size (11.5 inches) - this was actually included in the title AND the description. When it arrived, it was miniature - 6" x 5" x 4". When I contacted this company thinking they had accidentally sent the wrong thing, their answer what that it could be measured in different angles and that's the only one they sell. Even if you are measuring the tag attached on this thing, it is nowhere near 11.5 inches. Be very cautious dealing with this company. I truly wish I had read the ratings before purchasing and I hope this saves someone else the hassle.
I was looking for a specific plush and it blocked me for being a bot because I was clicking between items. I haven't found any way to get myself unblocked from the site, and I'm so disappointed, as I love Pokémon and just wanted to support one of my favorite franchises.
Order never arrived. Reached out to their support and they replied with tracking info that literally had no street address on it, claiming this was proof of delivery. Stonewalled me the whole way, so I disputed with PayPal. Amazingly PayPal denied my claim so basically Pokemon Center just stole my money. I got nothing. Do not buy from them.
Purchase some items from them but never arrived. I sent them a message through email and did not get a response for over 14 days. After not knowing if I'll get a refund or replacement from them, I decided to do a charge back with my bank.
Their system doesn't allow for a good customers experience.
Have been trying to place an order for literally months. MONTHS. I'm not ordering a ton of items, just a few items for a family with a few kids. It continues to throw errors when I try to check out, whether I use PayPal or put in my credit info directly. I googled it and apparently somewhere my address or my name may not match 100% compared to my credit card account, is the helpful suggestion. I'm not sure what it could be, I don't have issues on any other site. And that doesn't explain why PayPal doesn't work, the payment is vetted through PayPal. Or I can email support for help. I can't find a phone number. By now I have a screenshot of the items I have been trying to get (some of which are out of stock now.). If I search and add them too quickly, then my IP gets blocked. Absolutely ridiculous. I'd rather pay 3rd party fees and let someone else deal with this BS. If you're able to place an order with them without issue, count your lucky stars.
Made two separate orders and payments were taken, refunded then taken again at later dates. Also, shipment tracking is a joke. My package is supposedly in transit in Memphis for the last 4 days. I live in Canada. One of these orders was quite large and for Christmas. Very unhappy with lack of custom service and failure to deliver as indicated by website. I will never order from this company again.
Answer: It's so not a scam. I've always gotten my products. Whenever there's an issue, it has something to do with USPS.
