We recently completed 14 days aboard Portland Roads. The boat is fully equipped and for the six of us was very comfortable with plenty of room and facilities to enable a magic cruising experience. Having limited sailing experience did not prove a problem as we operated under diesel power much of the time with occasional use of the jib.The comprehensive pre-departure briefing and ongoing twice daily support from the company gives great reassurance and confidence that provided you are conservative and follow instructions you can be assured of a totally enjoyable and problem free experience.We cannot recommend a holiday aboard Portland Roads highly enough and would like to thank management and staff for making our dream holiday a reality. Barefoot on a 380 catamaran has changed my view of life. Given voice to those little cliches... like time and tide waits for no one.
Watching sea eagle and osprey tussle over a caught fish, the moon dance between clouds, sleep under the stars on the front trampoline until the patter of misty rain draws you inside and feeling the wind pulling you through the waves is quite exhilarating. Put a family on a boat and see the opportunities wake like from a dream... who thought going out on a 380 cat could stimulate the imagination so vividly.

Why has no one told me about this before?
Between the six of us it was the best value holiday possible. I thought nothing much before the charter, I'm not really sure what I was thinking. Thanks to *** for helping everything run so smoothly- you're a natural. And what happened once we arrived was purely magic, great boat, *** was amazing and sailing is my new passion. *** to captain in one week. I even like Rod Stewart singing sailing on high rotation
What a fantastic 5 Days on Portland Roads Lagoon 420 Sailing Catamaran "LUCY" the 7 of us girls had. It's a great boat, very easy to sail, well set out and made it even more enjoyable for us to relax in the perfect weather we had. Having the expertise knowledge from Deano explain how to operate the vessel, give us thorough instructions for the daily routines involved in the boats operations made it so much easier for us.We are already planning our next trip! To start our story, we sought permission to Sail in the Wake and Walk in the Footsteps of our First Nations people.
We now respectfully interpret 60,000 years of mainland Yuwibara, Koinmerburra, Barara Barna, Wiri, Juru and Gia history, Along with 9,000 years of Ngaro island and seafaring stories.
