Loved it, Loved it, Loved it - We were feeling a bit nervous about doing a holiday like this, until we stepped aboard - mike made us feel at home, he gave us a thorough briefing and the confidence to take these beautiful boats out on the ocean. We were a bit embarrassed that we had not read our pre-charter notes, but quickly got into the groove. There was a nice touch when mike mentioned the local indigenous people of the area and some of the places to visit - we spoke with him daily (thank's for your patience mike). Everything about this holiday blew us away. We gave it little thought before we arrived, but now can't stop thinking or talking about it. What a blast. Portland Roads; we will be back!
We sailed for five nights on Portland Roads. It was honestly the best holiday I could ever have imagined, utterly sublime and totally relaxing. I only wish it could have gone longer and will absolutely be back. The boat is comfortable, well set up and easy to operate even for novices like us!
We had a wonderful 5 night stay on Lucy, Deano was very knowledgeable and gave us great tips on where to snorkel and fish. The boat was well equipped with everything we needed, even a coffee machine and air conditioning. I highly recommend Portland roads.

Platinum package is the way to go! Biggest decision I made all week was where was the best spot to sit and soak up the wonderful views. Our skipper was fabulous - friendly, professional, competent, encouraging, a great chef and a wonderful host! Everything was organised for us and we had nothing to concern ourselves with. Thank you John and Portland Roads! Just perfect in every way!

Everything! Very comfortable and well fitted out. Travelled beautifully even in fairly rough conditions. What a way to spend a week! Our motto was œanother day, another bay and each bay was unique and beautiful. Portland Roads has everything on board we needed and was extremely comfortable. Looking forward to doing it again and would highly recommend.
Anybody considering a bareboat trip to the *** should use Portland Roads. We chartered *** and this was the most beautiful catamaran that I have sailed. It had plenty of space and storage, easy to use sails, auto pilot and plenty of fuel, water and energy. *** was excellent as our briefer and made us feel confident and at ease with the boat. He also assisted with transfers and the use of his van for the pick up of provisions. He facilitated our scheduled call ins and provided advice on weather and entry to bays and coves. I can't recommend *** and *** enough. Easily the best bareboat charter opportunity in the ***. Well done on making our trip one to remember.

We sailed out of the marina with complete confidence after the induction and training and felt comfortable knowing we would be hearing from *** twice a day to check in with us to make sure everything was going well. Thanks you for an incredible experience. The Southern Man was a very stable and beautifully appointed boat! Great engines when you needed it against tides and stormy sees but sailed beautifully and last but not least great hit showers. An unforgettable experience. To start our story, we sought permission to Sail in the Wake and Walk in the Footsteps of our First Nations people.
We now respectfully interpret 60,000 years of mainland Yuwibara, Koinmerburra, Barara Barna, Wiri, Juru and Gia history, Along with 9,000 years of Ngaro island and seafaring stories.
