During the past seven years I have been a faithful storage unit customer with Public Storage.
Throughout the years I have come in contact with many property managers and site employee's, all of which have conducted themselves with professionalism and kindness.
The Saturday only site manager Sean at the Moorpark, CA location has shown himself to be the icing on the cake.
Sean has a very special way of relating himself to your personality and your needs. Based on my personal experience, Sean is someone who works beyond the scope in making my time and space an enjoyable experience.
Thank you to whomever made the decision to bring this bright light onto the payroll.

This is a very dishonest company. I have paid my bill on line, from the time I rented their unit. Until about six or eight months ago! All of a sudden my card was invalid, and had to call in the payment! That was a ten dollar fee! Then the same happened again. So, talked to a live agent, and that was a twenty dollar fee! When I called them out about it, they told me maybe the bank, or something wrong with the card! I told them nothing was wrong with the card! I had just paid some other bills! So, kept saying something wrong with the card! The agent put the card through and process the payment! As I told her, if it was the card, how did she process the payment! I think we know exactly what was going on here, as I told her! All those extra fees I paid

I moved in and I 5 months got a 90 dollar rent increase called multiple people including the district manager and no one will call me back. I'm very disappointed and feel everyone should be cautious about renting here.

How can Public Storage justify a price hike of 25%, which is way beyond inflation? This is greed at a time when people have little spare cash. What a disgrace!
Everything you read about negative is true. Corporate greed runs deep with this company. I wished I had rented from someplace else, any place. I couldn't get into my storage unit many, many times. I'm still waiting on a refund because I always paid my rent a month ahead. I found mice and roaches in my stuff. I will NEVER rent from Public Storage ever again!

April 2021 I purchased a 10X10 under 1 year contract from EZSTORAGE for $169 per month. Public storage brought out EZSTORAGE May 2021 and ripped up my contract. Changed my rent to $209 per month on a month to month rental. They have gone up on my rent 3 times now! July 2022 they are asking me to pay $259 per month! THEY ARE CROOKS! I just informed them that I will be out of this shady establishment by 6/30/2022. WARNING: Find a more established storage with a guaranteed contract. Don't say I didn't warn you!
I reserved a unit, showed up and of course why would they have the reserved unit available. Luckily the ONE helpful person was able to get me into a unit that was larger than the one I reserved and for the same price. Per the office person the insurance could be easily cancelled by calling or going on the app. The app puts you in a loop and you CANNOT cancel your insurance that way (when I finally called the rep verified that this WAS the case... why would you not fix this?). In order to help me, after I explained my issue she needed the last 4 of my drivers license #. What the actual hell, who has that memorized or readily available? So I go and get it, give her the last 4, and she tells me she will reset my password online so I can go on the computer and cancel my insurance. Why the hell did I go get my damn drivers license? You could not tell me that you couldnt make the change and that I had to go on a computer to cancel the insurance. I gave it 2 stars because I have a place to store my $#*!, and so far the gate code has worked. Don't call expecting anyone to be of any help at all EVER.
I was told I could rent from April 14 to May 14 and that is considered one month. It turns out their billing is on the first of the month so I paid expecting for that to be refunded to me which is what I was told.
Do you think I can get my $180 back they charged me? Nope. When I called the main phone number to get my money refunded to me, they told me I would've needed to move out by May 13. So they got to keep my cash because they rejected my claim. Completely dishonest. I will never rent from Public Storage again.
I went to the location on WT Harris and she was very helpful with my unit and I was very satisfied with her service.
Ive had 2 storage units in 2 1/2 years, started with a smaller unit and 3 months ago upgraded to the next size up. This larger unit started at $117.00 a month and in 3 months time it is now $148.00 a month. The smaller unit I had, went from $50 something and increased 2 times in almost 2 years to almost $100 a month. What changes in storage until with no electric, no water, no windows - what changes to make them continue to increase the cost of the unit? Horrible way to treat their customer! In 2/12 I have paid them over $2500 - I could build my own small barn for that and that is exactly what I will do! No I am not adding my proof of purchase!
Don't use the insurance offered. You will be charged an escalating price and when you want to cancel PS will not allow it. Move in discounts will quickly disappear and monthly rental price will also escalate. Very unprofessional billing practices local staff cannot control.
At 3320 Sam Houston Pkwy I was helped by a Jennifer and she was the sweetest. She helped me with the public storage app so I was able to access the gate for future visits
DShaunda was a great help and fixed my account as needed. She handled everything I needed above and beyond. She was very nice and had exceptional customer service. The office was very clean and organized. She needs a raise asap!
They will Jack your rent up without any notice. And if you're one day late the late vehicle can be upwards of $50. If you leave a bad review and complain they will call you and tell you it's an algorithm that automatically jacks your rent up without warning. Then, a few months later it will happen again. Just don't waste your time with the stress and find another storage place.
