I purchased this god-awful product unfortunately. I have changed plenty oil filters and this is the first time it has been this much of a catastrophe. I put the filter on and all of the oil leaked out. I assumed that it wasn't tight enough so I tightened it a little more. I put more oil in and all of the oil leaked out. I took the filter off to realize that it was cheaply made and the gasket was sticking up on half of the top of the filter. I took it back to Advance Auto Parts and they gave me the refund but didn't give me a refund for the oil. They claim its because the oil wasn't purchased at their store. The actual company Purolator who makes the filters said that because I took it back to the store they're warranty is voided. The most unethical part is before I took it back to the store I called purolator customer service. A recording said they cannot answer any calls because they are at an event for some hours. This is why I took it back to where I purchased it. Only for purolator to escape any accountability, claiming that the warranty is voided?
Now I seemingly have engine damage and electrical error lights coming on my dashboard. To add insult to injury im out of $60 worth of oil due to this Rancid company.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.
