The rep who sold me the program at $36,000 for a year flat out lied over and over again. It shames me that they are allowed to use Realtor as they commit Fraud and are unethical. To get the leads on our own listings is like paying the Mafia. Hate them.
Scam & Fraud. The lower level people who "sell" you may be innocent - but once you give them credit card info without demanding a written contract of EXACTLY how many leads they are going to provide - you are toast. They never do what they SAY they will do - get it in writing. Other agents have the same complaint. Contact State Attorney General's office for fraud complaints, There should be a class action law suit against them. Sadly NAR has sold off the Realtor.com site to these scammers.
I downloaded the rental app and was clicking the link asking for more information. Don't do that; contact the property manager directly. I was called by a woman who barely spoke English saying she would help me find an apartment. She said she had listings available and kept asking if I wanted to see them. I asked her to send a link or pictures before I agreed to see them. She apparently sent them to the wrong email address so I didn't receive them till later. In the meantime she repeatedly called and texted while I was with my family, and threw a fit via text and said she couldn't help me because I didn't respond in 20 minutes to her phone call. Also she was very unclear as to what company she was with so I was confused as I'd inquired about several properties. Just very aggressive and unprofessional.
My husband and I have bought and sold close to 20 homes in our life time. Bill & Judy McKnelly far outshine any other realtors we have ever worked with. They not only made sure the paperwork was done correctly, we closed early! They followed up on every request, arranged for and met workmen at the house to make necessary repairs and always made me feel taken care of. Thank you!
I found Realtor.com an easy site to use, save searches and homes of interest. In reality, this site found the home we bought as it was sent in an e-mail. We contacted our Realtor who met us at the home that evening. There were three bids submitted that night and we won the bid. This home is our perfect dream home. Without the e-mail from Realtor.com we would not have found this house quickly enough to bid on and purchase.
I honestly, truly hope that Realtor.com did not pay for the most recent 'upgrade'. The IT professionals that implemented and approved the rollout should be demoted. Honestly, it's one of the most useless sites for real estate information I've ever seen. The site hangs constantly because it's so ad and cookie heavy and it's become more trouble than it's worth. You have to input the same search parameters over and over again with each search. Unless the Realtor chooses to include it in the description, there is no way to determine if a property allows horses or not. You'd be better off painstakingly searching through the 25 pound MLS books of thirty-five years ago! What an absolutely useless site Realtor.com has become!
I used Realtor.com 3 years ago and was fairly pleased. I signed up again last summer and have been horribly disappointed. 99% of the leads are total junk, its not people who are looking to buy at all, of course when you call Realtor.com they just blame it on your closing skills. The best was when they said to be successful you need to call each lead at least 15 times the first day to get a hold of them. Yeah right, if someone is interested they will respond to my email, text, call, and or voicemail. I do all 4. Oh and to make matters worse now Realtor.com allows mobile homes on leased land on their site. Now 90% of my leads are for properties I can't even legally sell as a real estate broker. I spent an hour on the phone with realtor.com and they could care less, they offered me a free month and basically said tough luck.
You should fire the people who came up with your new upgrade but I bet you gave them a bunch of money instead. I have used your site for years, now I'm looking for something else. If you want to save your site you should scrub this big mistake and go back to the old format.
Do NOT waste your time with James "Robert" Waddell in South Carolina. I left a couple messages recently and several in the past regarding some property that is listed with him. He has yet to respond!
If he can't return a call, how could he possible hand a real estate transaction. His incompetence is not only a refection on himself, but National Land Realty as well. He would be fired immediately if he worked for our company. This would have been a cash sale too.
As President of my board, I wanted to help Realtor.com by moving all of my ad dollars out of Zillow into Realtor.com. It was a horrible experience that I'm still trying to unravel. The leads were bogus, most of them for mobile homes which I specifically indicated at the beginning were not useful for me. When I tried to cancel, they said I was in a contract that didn't end for many months. I never signed a contract with Realtor.com. I've been exchanging multiple calls with their "customer service" group which is a total waste of time because nothing ever happens. I canceled last September and they continued to charge my credit card through December. I'm still trying to recover $2000 from them without success. This is an affront to all REALTORs and NAR should get involved immediately to save their reputation.
Answer: Don't do it! Total scam. They don't allow you to cancel, and don't deliver what they promise. I've wasted $1500 and they want to stick me for another $4500! I signed up for an area with $800k average, but ALL of the leads are for $50 mobile homes. COMPLETE SCAM!
Answer: You can file a claim with the BBB. I am in the process of looking for an attorney. Small claims court is always an option.
Answer: Just be sure you are dealing with a realtor. Do not send any money to anybody at a moneygram account. Just make sure it is a realtor you are working with. Because there are scams out there that ask you to send money pretend to be owner etc. you can always ask for license number and go to trec website and check to see if number is real. Hope that helps.
Answer: I hope that if enough of us post about Realtor.com scamming, defrauding our industry we can stop them, scammed myself, never again, worst customer service I have ever encountered.
