“Scammers! Ripp offs!”

I have been quoted 6000 to reconstruct the engine. A deposit of 1000 paid was never returned ( they claimed that this is how much their work would cost to dismantle the engine) after I decided that I am recovering the car. This is outrageous! Apparently their terms and conditions cover them! Why do you call it a deposit if do not intend to return? Rip off! Run far away from this company!

Was quoted a fixed price at 2,100-2,700 for either a new build or new engine as ours had ceased. Total bill was £5,000 and the vehicle still isn't running correctly. Was total would be done in 10 days and took nearly a month. Warranty is impossible to maintain as no other garage can even look at it. We live over 100 miles away so not exactly helpful. We will be taking them to court to try and get some money back but please do not use this awful company or you will be well out of pocket!

I have just found that these scum are back trading on ebay yet again under the name equipetable. They have 1 feedback recently thats viewable that is for an engine supply and fit, which is most likely a relative who has just left the feedback. But all older feedbacks are for animal and pet supplies. So they are yet again using ebay accounts that already have established feedbacks to con yet more people out of their cars and money.

These people are utter scammers. Avoid! Do not use this company

Family member recently contacted this company after needing repair, they collected the car and cash deposit, then said they would keep us informed. Had the car for over 3 weeks and we could not get hold of them on the phone.
So we tried from a different number and they eventually answered, trying to act at first as if they didn't know which car we were referring to, then said they would call us back within 5 minutes to give us an update. They never called back. So we tried yet again numerous times. To which the eventual reply was yes your cars here, we havent started anything yet, i asked what their actual unit address was as the addresses provided by ebay business information was just residential addresses, they gave me the unit address as unit 16 sunbeam street wolverhamton wv24pf, i then searched this address and found this site then the corresponding news articles about this defrauding family.
In shock i did more research and found that they trade on ebay under at least 3 accounts
Names of those accounts are

Engine-rebuilds-uk
Engineservicesuk
Engines4u

The top ebay name is the account i got the contact number from for the work to initially be carried out, but looking back on the account the high feedback count although kept private actually relates to items of furniture, nothing at all to do with cars.

Police have been informed along with trading standards, and going to be going to the express and star too regarding it, as it seems jaspal virdee is a criminal along with his brother prithpal. Likes to rob innocent people of their money and cars.
To make matters worse they called today to say they would be returning the car, yet they never showed up, and now yet again are not answering calls. They have sent me a reply on ebay now trying to say i have them confused with another company despite the fact it is off that account that we got the initial contact number from.

SO PLEASE ANYONE READING THIS DO NOT USE THIS COWBOY SCAMMING COMPANY.

Elite Engineering Group... Ranger needed a engine rebuild, 950 deposit, 1850 for parts 1769 final payment.
Still not returned my truck. They don't answer the phone or emails.
Please people don't use this so called business.
I paid a deposit into one account and all the other paid to a S Multani, apparently the owner!
Has anyone on here ever had their vehicle back! Or long shot got refunded.

Tip for consumers:
Do not use Elite Engineering Group

I'm in the same boat as practically everyone else here. They have my vehicle and claim the engine was 'all smashed up inside', which it certainly wasn't. They then tried to extort extra money to pay for components that I know were not faulty. I then told them to cease work on the vehicle and return it. They eventually agreed to do so but have not actually returned it.

Again, the police won't touch it, so solicitor seems to be the only route left, which will leave me further out of pocket.

I'm not under any illusion I'll see either the money or the vehicle again.

It just staggers me that what is plainly fraud, and therefore a crime, does not persuade the police to take action.

My Range Rover was taken to Elite Engineering on Sunbeam Street, Wolverhampton in December 2020 for an engine repair. I was quoted £2900 and paid £1450 upfront. After 2 months of constant phone calls, I was sent a video of my car, minus the engine, and photos of parts needed, which were not from my vehicle. I was then informed the final cost would be £6200. Total scum! My vehicle was hidden somewhere when trading standards and the police visited on several occasions, looking for my car and a long list of other cars that have been 'stolen' by the Virdee brothers. Still ongoing for me to get my vehicle back and hoping they get what they deserve one day!

13/2/17 - I have to be fair I took a gamble after Kevin was very insistent to get the car back - but fair play - they sorted it. Keeping me up to date twice daily, fixed the lack of power. This build was tricky, complete engine, two turbo's, inter cooler and much much more. But they got there in the end and I must say I'm pretty happy now. They got it wrong the first time, but got it right in the end.
12/1/17Use these fly by night cowboys at your peril. Kevin Jacobs is very convincing. 11 weeks to do a £5,700 engine rebuild and now i have to take the car to another garage to put it right. Turbo's not working, hoses cut from the top of the engine. Warranty isn't worth the paper its printed on.
Go legal, and they wave their contract at you. There are dozens if not more people affected by this company.
For your own sakes dont use them.

My husband contacted this company in good faith, they assured us they could mend our engine at an agreed price, when the price rose dramatically we refused any work. We've never seen our car again, we cannot get hold of anybody, and even though we have contacted the police we have hit a brick wall. We have lost our car!

I had my 4x4 collected by them. £700.00 to repair a head gasket. Didn't have any contact with them for 2 weeks. I was told my car was in Birmingham. And there was more problems 9 weeks later I was told car was ready. The bill was£2300. 00. The address in Birmingham was false. Told to go to Wolverhampton. My car was there with on engine in it. Had to return 6 hrs later and settle the payment. Got the car back. 5 month later car died. Never again will I trust a garage. Not that one.

Wish we read reviews before we got caught by this garage. We have reported to trading standards and was advised that if there are other people like us who have been caught by this garage to contact trading standards they will not discuss our case but they are building a case against them so the more people report them the more information they can get to build a case against them so please please phone trading standards let's stop this garage stealing more hard earned money off innocent people

I'm looking to seek a solicitors help with this and I've been advised it may be better to get as many people as possible to do this in one go. One reason is to save the cost and another is it will have greater impact in court.
I have had my van stolen from these people who quotes £1800. After paying £900 deposit 2 weeks later had to chase up where my van was and was given an ultimatum of pay £4500 or I dont get the van back and I'm apparently being charged £35 per day untill this payed.
This was since October 2017. The police are useless and say it's a civil matter. I've lost thousands in work and all my tools are in my van. I've had to buy new tools and use hire vans. Trading standards have been informed but nothing is being done.
Anyone who wants to do something about this please get in touch.
My email is *******@hotmail.com.
Thanks. Chris

Originally quoted £1795 to fit a reconditioned engin in my van. I was then sent a final bill of £4600 for the job without consulting me first, i was quoted £2700 by a local garage. They are now charging £25 per day to keep the van unless i pay. They are cowboys. Beware of these, it i s a scam. I will now be persuing this with a solicitor and reporting them to trading standards. If anyone has any information on these please email me as i am pursuing this through a solicitor.

Please stay away from any company run by the virdee brothers in Wolverhampton. Go by several company names. Dynamic automative engineering, now titan engineering. They will take money from you and will not repair your car. Then hold it to ransom.

For anyone interested their real address is 16 Sunbeam Street (and unit opposite), Wolverhampton.
They are conmen. Everyone has the same story - cheap quote, double price, problem with parts, then exorbitant storage charges before work completed.
Confrontational on phone, via email and in person.
They don't accept payment via paypal.
JUST STAY AWAY FROM THEM

We found them on ebay, promised us a fully reconditioned engine in our ford ranger, collected and delivered all for a fixed price. Once they had our vehicle they said they had found other faults so needed an additional £1000 before they returned it. We were fooled and payed the money to get our vehicle back to us. It made a terrible knocking noise as it drove back into my yard. The response i got was that it was nothing to do with what they had done and it was something else that needed fixing. I have had it checked by an independent mechanic now who has said it is undriveable and they have not carried out the work they quoted. £3000 later and my vehicle is no better than before it went to them. Is it worth taking them to court? If anybody has any ideas on how to stop them scamming other people just let me know! Email me *******@underwoodrecycling.co.uk

There is a company with the same details, the address is unit 7. Harris way, Sudbury on thames. TW16 7EL. I have a problem with this company that is the same as all the reviews, you will have to find out if it is the same so good luck they are con men ripping people off. For a solicitor go to citizens advice web site and they will give you a list of mediating solicitors with free advice for an hour.

They collected our van and took a payment to recondition the engine. They then asked for more money. They never returned the van, so we threatened to withdraw the credit card payment and report them to the police. They then said, as you are threatening to withdraw payment we will not release the van. Never got the van back. Just got abuse!

These guys took my Jaguar XF for a engine refurbishment, asked for £3000 to do the job, paid £1500 as a deposit. That's it. They sent me a picture of a knackard engine that wasn't mine but said it was, then asked for another £4500. I said can't afford it so they said they would sort something out. Not heard from them since despite countless calls, emails and post. The West Midlands police and Greater Manchester police both contacted along with trading standards. The Virdee family are the scum of the earth and hopefully will get a prison sentence. Keep well away from Elite Engineering and any other company operating out of Unit 16 Sunbeam Street Wolverhampton.

This garage trading under Flash recon 16 Sunbeam Street has had my landrover since june for a re con gearbox they said it would take 7- 10days after 2 weeks they contacted me to say it was ready and would be delivered the next day if I payed them by bank transfer which I did. The car did not arrive since then I have been given several delivery dates and excuses for non delivery. I traveled to Wolverhampton to collect the car only to find it on the ramp and was told that it failed that morning on a test run. I have contacted trading standards who I believe is getting a case up against them. At the moment they still have my car and money. DO NOT USE THEM
