I just want to say that Redbox is doing a great job, Considering all the competition today with streaming services you still provide affordable NEW movies at a reasonable price. I will always remain a customer and I hope Redbox has a successful future. I appreciate your new representatives on chat they are providing excellent customer service. Customers I recommend using chat for quick and professional resolution. Sincerely Sharon Godwin
I don't know where they get their bimetoprost but it simply does not work whatsoever. I've used Latisse in the past with great success but this has not grown a single eyelash.
The Redbox unit in my town was out of order, I could not return my disc until it was fixed the next day. They still charged me for the extra day. This is the second time this happened. They don't have an email contact to resolve this. Will not rent from Redbox again.
If there was a rating lower than one star I would rate this experience. I usually do not write bad ratings but I took the time to do so to prevent anyone else from getting scammed.
I rented two movies and I personally turned it in the next day in the 711 Red Box with out experiencing any error from the machine. Just today I notice a posted transaction from Redbox for 67.32
I spoke to customer service and they claimed that I did not return the movies and will not do a refund. I do not recommend anyone to use them, you will get scammed.
Told we would get a full refund, but never got it but they charged us 2 times for the amount of $41.73 each time, contact back and they said they never said that but give us codes to use, never got them, they only will refund us 22.47 which leaves them owing $60.99. Its not our fault the discs didnt work and we called and reported it right away. Never doing business again. I will go else where for our rentals from now on.
Purchased Roku from Walmart and it came with a $5 dollar off streaming coupon. Entered the code and it said can only give you $1 off. Total scam. Wonder if Roku and Walmart know about these business practices.

A Redbox gift card is a gift of aggravation and frustration. After you navigate their upside down web site, and are finally able to rent with your gift card credit, be advised, it can only be used for kiosk rentals. It is not accepted for On-Demand rentals or purchases.
Renting movies that are scratched, been renting for years, every year has gotten worse. Call in explained whats going on. Only to be treated as if Im trying to get over for a $1.62. After years of loyalty. It's not your customers fault that you dnt have system that assures us the movies are not scratched. The system redbox uses says, another way to RIP OFF CUSTOMERS!
We rented a movie and Redbox says it wasn't returned. It was. They are charging me $37 for this USED movie. I questioned how they can charge me this price for a used movie and they charge you daily up to the maximum amount, roughly double it's value new. I questioned if the particular Redbox was sold out of this movie and ongoing issues with the box... they state a technician will look at it (this isn't true, just a response to me questioning ongoing issues with the machine). Customer service is rude. The supervisor literally was raising her voice and cutting me off. She did not give me valid information. I'll be disputing with my bank. BEWARE! They will try to take your money, this movie was returned!
This is the third time that this despicable company overcharged the fee on my card. I rented the movie less than 12 hours and returned it, and when I looked at the receipt, the charged me extra night. EVERY TIME i rent, they will do this hoping that I would not look at the receipt.
Be careful with this company. They should be criminally prosecuted.
I was charged for a blue ray disc, when I rented a dvd. I instant chat with John from customer services. I told him that my xbox one would not play a dvd, but only a blue ray. He talked to me like I was stupid. I even told him what it said on the xbox one when I put the movie in. He still tried to make me feel like I was stupid and I didn't know what I was talking about. I am no longer using Redbox anymore. Before I could write him back, John disconnected our conversion. Bye Bye Redbox, no more business from me or my family and friends.
I love to rent from this company. They have convenient locations virtually every where.the price is cheap. They have a great selection of movies to choose from. I get e-mailed codes alot for free rentals. So that helps. You should try this for yourself. If you havent already.
I got a promo code for a. Free one night rental. That was all it said on my promo code. When I went to use it... it said that title was unavailable for that code. If it was a limited offer then it should say on my slip. If they are going to hand out free one night rentals then they should mean just that. They are about to loose me as a customer permanently because I can just stream what I want and not deal with the Bull Sh**.
This company was ok in the early days but they must have lost to much money with there crappie production that they cut budget on support. You call you get a call center in Asia who knows where but the quality of reps is absolutely sub par. You sign up for promos and then you have to call over and over to get those perks they promise you. Just getting worse. Another thing is that kiosks are disappearing from stores left and right, specially Ralphs locations. Interesting what will happen if Kroeger purchases Albertson if there rest will disappear 2.
Now that there are no brick-and-mortar movie rental places in my town, Redbox is the only option to rent DVDs. I like the per-day charge, the ease of rental and return, and the fact that I can easily locate the movie I want and reserve it at nearby Redbox.
The only thing I would change is the variety of movies. New-releases are great, but I would live to see some options for older movies or television series.
Cheap and easy movie rentals. I like that you can reserve your movie online and then go pick it up. They also send you a free movie via text club the first monday or tuesday of every month. They also send out coupon/promo codes via text so check out the website and join the text club :)
I went to rent a movie the screen was faded out and hard to read. The one thing I could read was when I was given the option to buy the DVD as used for $4.99. I ended up getting charged $34.07 because they said I rented and didn't return. When I called there customer service to explain they refused to do anything about it. There customer service is like talking to a brick wall. I had to call up my card company and dispute the charge.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid at all cost!
So I recently decided to try out the redbok kiosk to rent the DVD the Marksman. Gave me the option of renting for 1.99 cents or buy it for 3.99. Decided just to rent it. Well apparently I had stuck it in the glove department and forgot about. Long story short I get a charge on my card for 31.00 freaking dollars from red box. I was heated and at the end this I only got credited 10 dollars. For the 21 dollars they charged me I could've bought 5 DVD of the marksmanship. And they still wanted me to return the movie in order for me to get the 10 refunded. Last and only time I ever go there. So stay away from redbox
I had my credit card stolen I've never used Redbox in my life. I have reported it with my bank and with them. I asked for a refund and they refused to give me my money despite the fact that the bank told me to contact the vendor. Then in the last month they have attempted to charge my card twice for $72.29. I have asked them to stop trying to charge my card and that they are trying to steal from me and that the original transaction was fraud I was out on hold for 20 minutes because I asked to speak to a supervisor. This company is trash. If u like ur money don't use them.
I used to love redbox until one day they charged me $32.00 for a movie I never rented. They said I rented a movie and that it was late by 3 weeks and they couldn't even pronounce the movie they said I rented. So I tried disputing it and i still never got my money back, until today when I will never buy from them again in fact I'm going to tell my whole family not to rent from them bc $2 turns into $30 very quick and you want me to trust my money with a bunch of people who can't even speak English or talk right. I don't think so. It's not enough when they took over all the video stores forcing people to only buy from them. Well that stops today. Please note that this could easily happen to you or anyone that reads this. Redbox is not for the people Redbox is for your money.
For a buck a night you can rent DVDs from their kiosks. You need a credit or debt card to use. On their website you can reserve your DVDs and pickup location closest to you. If you keep your movie for more than one night, you'll be charged for each additional night. They have a lot of new release DVDs available.
Never again will I go through Redbox call them to tell them two of their kiosks are down at Winn-Dixie and 7-Eleven not wanting to drive all over the place to return three movies I'll call and they basically tell me they're still going to charge me was a waste of time to even call. A very scamming business to my opinion!
Well until today i had nothing bad to say about RedBox but to me is very important to show sympathy when needed. I had a deaf in the family and forgot to return a movie I explain to them my situation and the best they can offer me was $15 i had to bring up to $25 but i really believe they should of given me a break. You know they like to send a lot of thing to your email why can they also let you know that you "still have the Movie" since i think a lot of people can forget to return for a for couple of days and if you had a reminder it would help i know it would of help me because i could have call my son and have him return the movie but no they don't want to send you reminder because then you would have to pay more and that's the business they in making more money of customers. I get email saying thank you for this and that. I hope you enjoyed the movie Why Not A Reminder On Returning the Movie? Won't be using you again
I went on line and reserved a movie.
I went directly to the Redbox and it was out of service. No big deal that happens.
I called Redbox to make sure I was not going to be charged for a movie I could not retrieve.
I was told my only option was to get a voucher code for the future rent of a movie.
BAIT and SWITCH. Pay for a movie and get a voucher code.
I like Redbox and will continue checking out movies but I will never reserve a movie again. Horrible customer service. Pray you never need to deal with them on the phone.
Red Box is a rip off! I received a Gift Card and went to use it for streaming and the the gift card would not work, called the customer service and they said that gift cards are only for the kiosks and not for streaming since I already added it to my account they are not able to refund it to the person that bought it for me. I will never use the gift card because I do not own a dvd or blue ray. I asked if there was any would they could put a credit on my account and take the gift card away. They said they would give me 2 promo codes for streaming. The promo codes are for $2.00 each not even enough for 1 streaming movie and the kicker is you can only use 1 promo code per movie can't even use them together. Will be renting from paramount plus or prime. Will not use Redbox again and will not recommend

Worst customer service I've seen in a long while! Got on chat to ask some questions and was met with contempt and attitude! The chat rep abruptly dropped the chat and left me hanging! I wasn't even being rude! Guess I'll make the leap to net flix!
RedBox claimed that a disc wasn't returned, and that it is not showing in their record on their kiosk and that the technician didn't report it. So despite having talked to customer service via livechat, their call center, and Facebook Messenger, they will not reverse the charge because my experience was not a "valid claim." I stood at the kiosk and browsed titles after it thanked me, and no indication that it didn't accept my return. I'm extremely disappointed with the brand itself and with the customer service. They can afford a $32 error on their end much more than I can. What an embarrassment of a company. Extremely dissatisfied.
