We haven't received any payback yet. It has been 17 days that we returned the car. I have never have such problem with other companies. I will certainly not recommend this company to anyone. Their explanation was not enough and didn't satisfy. I have all rights to write about this awful experience to online comments in every car hire platform..
Do not arrive late to pick up a car it will not be reserved and you will be paid the full booking fee for the cancelation they imposed on you!

I cannot stress more do not use this company I went on a road trip in November 2016, I hired a top end car (mustang convertible) it was ment to be a trip of a lifetime, I paid for the vehicle hire and insurance months in advance so it was paid for and out the way, I turned up in Memphis to be told I had extra insurance to pay, I already had assurance from rental cars that I was fully covered the only fee I agreed before hand was the one way charge which was expensive of $250, but when I arrived they hiked it up to $430 with extra insurance, so I argued with the girl but I was told to except it or no car, so I tried to call rental cars to sort the problem but low and behold I couldn't get hold of them ( a voice message saying not available, sorry for inconvenience) so I had no choice but to except the extra fee or We would have been stranded, no car and holiday completely ruined. After the holiday I called rental cars and they said I should not of excepted so the extra is my responsibility even though I was unable to get hold of them on the emergency number they provided. Go to a repertable hire car company direct with excellent customer feedback but do not use rental cars or the company's they supply,

We booked a car rental reservation from RentalCars.com ref # *******
We picked the car in Malpensa airport from Milan. The car was from Secilybycar.com.

My brother in law Sabti did the booking.
It has been malfunctioning for the duration of our trip.
The mirrors are not functioning one mirror shots the other opens, can't get them adjusted... and this is a security and safety issue.
We told this to the attendant and he said oh it will be okay later.
The battery kept dying.
We got stuck on the highway and when we called Sicily by car they told us that somebody will come and tow the car and we have to go and find the taxi with our luggage to the next airport to pick up another car which was about an hour and a half away.
When I asked the towing company if they will give us a jump they say absolutely not they will just tow the car and leave a stranded.
This service is unacceptable!
We called then Sicilybycar.com and they told us that they don't exchange cars
As a car rental company all over the world, they're supposed to come pick up your car and drop off another car for us no matter where we are.
If I was a single woman by myself stranded on the highway is that what you want to get from a car rental?

We had to buy jump cables and have strangers help us jump the car a few times.
We called the several phone numbers that we had for the office of Sicily by cars.
Sometimes they answer sometimes they don't.
It was about 10:30 a.m. we called the office at the airport in Milan Malpensa and nobody's answering the phone!

Don't get your car here, the company is not serious. They will try to get your money out of the pocket anyway they can. Their customer service is laughable. Better pay twice the price and hrie your car directly from a car hire company thatn to have any business with these scammers. We payed online for a car for 3 days, but our card didn't work at the car hire company for the deposit. So we didn't get the car. Later that day we rent a different car from a different company and our card worked without any problems. Not to mention, that we talked to our bank for 2 hours and they couldn't find any problem with our card. Later when we contacted customer support to get our money back, because we didn't get the car, they just forwarded our case to someone else, then to someone else. Promissed us, that someon will contact us, but that didn't happen. And after the 3rd or 4th time that we contacted them, they said, that we won't get our money back. Beacuse! No real reason. Because of "company policy". So we just gave them 120 pounds as charity and got nothing but frustrating chats with the customer service in return.

I made a booking on the 23rd December 2022 with carrental.com for a 9 seater car, for £600 for 5 days with insurance and had confirmation of the booking. The booking was made for picking my in-laws and family members up from London and traveling down to Devon to meet the mother who has sadly now passed away.
The booking was for the 28th December 2022. They emailed me on the 27th December 2022, 12 hours before picking the car up that this car wasn't available and if I called them they would be able to offer me an alternative solution, so I called and talked to a lady called michelle. She found the same car for the same dates but i had to pick it up from heathrow instead of shepherds bush which wasn't the end of the world. She then said we can't amend the booking but we can cancel the one you have and make a new booking, although the new amount was £1700 she assured me and sent me an email confirming that l would be able to get a refund for the difference and they would honour original price when the booking was complete. Bear in mind a train would have cost me £750 round trip so if l had to pay £1700 without getting this back the option would have been train 100% percent. With only 12 hours to find something else, losing my bargaining power with any other company l made the booking thinking I would get my money back.
After the booking l opened a case with evidence of the email that the lady sent me saying I would get my money back and they would honour the difference in price. Now on two occasions the case manager has closed the case saying l made a new booking and they gave me my money back for the old one so they don't see it as a problem but they offered me a 10% voucher for my trouble. Not only did l take this as an insult it was very difficult to talk to a customer service team member without being told to just open another case or the case has been resolved. I've called maybe 7/8 times and I'm not getting anywhere.
L still havent had the difference in price back and it's not looking likely. I would advise not to use this company as you'll either be left out of pocket or without a car the day before you need it!

Worst company ever. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I booked my car two days ago and it kept stating awaiting confirmation. A day before my trip, I logged on and chat to an agent who told me the confirmation was rejected. She found me another similar car and I would received the confirmation email soon.
I did NOT receive the confirmation email soon. So I logged back in to speak to another agent who told me it was also rejected. I informed them it is best to let me know before 5:00pm my time (as they are located overseas), so that I am able to look for a different car company and would not be stranded without a car. As most companies close at 5:00pm, if it was any later than that then I would not be able to search for alternatives. I STRESSED on this point repeatedly and was ASSURED that the agent would let me know if there was no car by 4:30pm. Unfortunately, they cannot keep to their words. I subsequently followed up every single hour after that but they just kept saying they are trying to help me locate a car and their team is working on it.
I was also told that the staff following up would call me soon. I did not receive a call so I checked back with them as I was worried he would be off work soon. I was informed yet again not to worry as he's working on it and did not forget and would get back to me soon. Unfortunately that again is NOT TRUE. By the time I checked back with them a third time, the staff has already left work.
It's 3:55am and I am supposed to pick up the car at 10:30am. I cannot go to bed because my entire trip is ruined as I have no car. This could have simply been prevented if they kept to their words and informed me at 4:30pm that they could not confirm a car so that I could source for other companies.
I have saved up an entire year for my trip, hotels booked and returned flights booked as well. All they can offer is to refund my money. But what am I going to do with that money now? All the other plans I have paid for cannot be refunded.
Trust me, if you do not want to be stranded and have all your plans destroyed do not rent from them.

I hired a car from this company from the 12th December to 14th December as I had to return to the UK for a funeral. I booked through Rental cars. My flight was an hour late and when I got on the bus to take me to the car hire place I received an email timed at 7mins earlier, telling me that as the flight was late as a goodwill gesture I can pick the car up in the morning. So how on earth was I going to get home? I live in a rural area. So I had to rent another car. When I eventually arrived home I emailed Green motion to tell them I wouldn't be picking up the car in the morning. Today I noticed that it was deducted from my bank account. I contacted Rental Cars who tell me that as I didn't telephone their help desk I wasn't due a refund. I am 72 years old, totally stressed trying to think of how I was going to get home but should have remembered that I should contact Rental cars help desk rather than Greenmotion Car Rental. When I sent them the copy of the email cancelling I was told it had to be 48hrs notice. Although I was put in a seriously dangerous position of trying to make my way home. Please, please, anyone considering using Green motion or Rental cars DON'T THINK ABOUT IT. Oh they said they are giving me the insurance money back.

In June I happily booked a car with rentalcars.com.
They offered low rates with a company called Easirent.
When I arrived in Tampa Florida, the shuttle to the rental car building was nowhere to be found. I called the service desk and there was no answer.
When the shuttle finally arrived the driver would not get out to help me with my bag, when we got to their death the driver would not get out of helping with my bag. Upon entering the off-site location I saw that it was dirty and filled with unhappy customers. Many people complaining of a two-hour wait oh, and no bathroom facilities oh, and nowhere to go Define facilities as it was in a industrial area. While I was there while I was there people were treated poorly denied bathroom use, cars were giving that we're filthy inside and rejected, cars with body damage, and cars with flat tires. After waiting almost two hours it was my turn at the service desk. When I complained about the long wait I was threatened and put out without a rental car. I attempted to contact easirent and was unable because it just sent me for the same lady who refused me a car.
I contacted my credit card company and ask them to stop the charges from going through.
Easirent claims I never showed up for my car or that I showed up excessively late.
The charge on my account comes from rentalcars.com. After explaining the problem they refused to refund my money. And sent a 16-page respond stating that I was late to pick up my car. They refused to help me and put the blame on me rather than the shotty company they reserve my car through. I suggest running from this rental car company. Not just easy rent, for rentalcars.com as they will not support you in any way shape or form and look for any way to keep your money. Even though I was stranded in an industrial area in Tampa with my bag and had to find other Transportation they didn't care. I had to walk, take a bus, and find another car to rent.

Rentalcars.com is a total fraud (and spammers too)
This company (which is part of Priceline) has lots of terms and conditions which work against you and we have ended up with paying 256 for *nothing* in the end. Here is the story:
On a family trip in Italy, we have made reservation for a car rental from this website in May 2013. We have especially requested a navigation device during reservation to find our way easily around the country.
On 19th of May we went to SicilyByCar desk at Rome Termini Station to pick up our car. We paid the deposit, signed the papers and got the keys. When we arrived at the parking lot to pick up the car, we were told that they have no navigation device available! We had to go back to train station (which is 300m away) and ask the lady at SicilyByCar desk. When we asked why she had not told us that navigation device was not available before and made us go through all the signing papers and paying deposit procedure, she did not have any answer at all! We were really disappointed and frustrated.
The only way to go was cancelling the reservation and renting another car from another dealer. So I called RentalCars.com customer services and was told that I need to pay half of reservation fee as a penalty and that was because the pickup time had passed. But we had not get in the car at all! Just because the pick-up time has passed we were made to pay 256 for nothing, simply nothing! All we get was disappointment and frustration in the middle of our trip. Not to mention the half of day we lost during reservations.
When I have placed a complaint, I got a response a month later, which says this is according to their terms and conditions and they will do nothing about it. The rep's last sentence in the email was:
"We are not in position to refund you the rental price and we now close the matter"
That's all I was able to get back. (oh, and daily spam emails)
So, STAY AWAY FROM RENTALCARS.COM, if you want to stay stress free.

Rented a minivan and was billed immediately on 6/13/20 for $246.14. Picked up the minivan from Routes Car Rental in Atlanta (NEVER AGAIN - FOR EITHER) Jul 8,2020 and waited over an hour to get my van. They were using it to shuttle ppl back and forth to the airport because their shuttle was in the shop. After going back and forth wondering what's taking so long. Randall explained and apologized. He stated he will make an adjustment for the inconvenience and appreciated my patience. The new contract is for $180.54. There's a difference owed to me now of $65.60. FYI, they only put about a qtr of gas and did not clean the inside or outside of the vehicle either. I returned the vehicle Jul 13,2020 and Randall confirmed I would receive my credit in a few days. I have had several correspondence and had to make several phone calls to Routes for my credit. Their customer service is non-existent and you have to dig to find a telephone number for them. They want you to send an email. Finally, an email on 7/22/2020 stating my credit was authorized but now I have to contact Rentalcars.com for the refund. After a few emails and filing a complaint on their site because there is no telephone number listed, They sent me an email today, Aug 5,2020, with some bs excuse of how they are prorating my credit and only issued a credit of $36.06. Now I have provided the new contract to them that was given to me and they are refusing to honor it. I will never rent from either of them again! They first tried to say I returned it early and had unused days, I even explained why the credit was issued. I filed a complaint with the BBB, consumer affairs and I'm posting a review anywhere I can until I get the rest of my money.

On the 30.11.2021 I made a reservation (Booking Reference Number: *******) for an SUV car in Dubai 1. 12. 2021—5. 12. 2021Because of 5 hours in the return date they charge an extra FULL day, but this is not the bad story yet... When my wife, 3 kids and I reached the DBX airport the representative of THRIFTY office, the supplier, said I can not have the car because I have only my international license and not Memsi doc as an extra.
I showed her the voucher RentalCars.com supplied me with and not mention anything there but:
"License: the main driver will need to provide a full driving license in their name" and this is exactly what I had! As always (this is not my first time renting a car abroad)
She even refused that I will send someone in my country to go the Memsi office to create for me the additional document she asked for... She "can't accept online documents or PDF"!
But she was kind of fair and said you can't have the car but you will NOT be charged by Thrifty not even for a penny.
When I contacted the RentalCars customer service I felt the lowest possible quality of service you can ever imagine.
Not only is the team rude and not helpful, you get the feeling they are happy when you don't receive the car you order and now you stuck in foreign country trying to plan different transportation ideas...
I asked for a refund as I don't get the car
And Thrifty never charged anything
And you never mention in your voucher I need to supply extra documents,
They send you rude and cold terms and conditions link you should read and follow.
I was a 16 years customer of RentalCars.com and Booking.com and Priceline with Genius level 2 rank BUT I will NEVER EVER work with it again, will you?
I could understand if I was asked to cover their costs on this reservation if they were any, I don't think anyone should be lost but they refused to refund and lost huge family and friends that will never order anything under priceline brands! If someone that reads this is still considering booking something with them, READ IN FULL of all the documents, they hide the small letter and will never show you in the voucher the real truth!
