I placed three separate orders here, two for hard to get Ecuadorian hermit crabs, and one for a three-striped mud turtle. Each time, the hermit crabs ran out of their container (insulated, humid, and with damp moss) an had natural shells. The turtle was groggy, but woke up and was swimming happily within 20 minutes. Thank you! Will buy again when I have more space!
Do not order from this company. They will take your money the very next day but won't return your emails. After 4 attempts to contact them via email were unsuccessful I tried to call them. Every single number was disconnected!
I ordered a brazilian rainbow boa from them and she arrived perfect and healthy. She was packed just as well if not better than other companies pack their animals. Everything was labeled correctly and it was shipped over night. When she arrived she was very active and nipping which was a great sign that she was healthy. Had great communication with Mr Felton Willis as there was delays with getting my order shipped due to the bad weather. 10/10 would order from them again.
Order baby ball python, 30 days go by and still nothing. Called and was reassured it was going out that day. Never went out. Cancelled my order after 30 date and guess what. Yup still waiting on refund. I don't believe the other reviews saying they got their items so fast. I got nothing and I'm not the only one.
Purchased 2 Red Footed Tortoises at a great price. Shipping was FAST & FREE. Tortoises were very healthy. Company kept in touch regarding the arrival of my tortoises. Great customer service. I WILL shop here again.
Beware, This guy owns several sites. I had the same experience as the others --placed an order, was overcharged on the shipping, got the run around on delivery times. Unable to communicate. After seeing all the numerous online complaints on this guy, reported him to FBI Fraud. --- These people need to be in jail.
I order my feeders exclusively from ReptileCity now. I started because they were the best priced mice, but they have my loyalty because of the quality and care they put into every delivery. It arrives completely frozen after traveling across the country and is always packed very nice and neat. I highly recommend them!
The turtles I purchased arrived today. They are doing great. After a couple hours of getting used to their new tank I gave them a snack and they ate it quickly. They are very tame so to speak. They dont shy away or act afraid when I approach the tank. I had zero issues or problems with my purchase.
Here at Reptile Nation we don't condone how this company operates and thus many bad reviews. I don't know who they talk to here but im the manger and I will find out. Reptile City we don't condone your behavior as a business owner. The only reason you guys getting a star is because we have to rate it.
Thank you Mr Willis for your wonderful service both common snapping turtles arrived well and alive. I wonder if you can have an alligator snapping turtle i would love to have a couple of those as well. Will buy for you soon again thanks alot!
I will most definitely be ordering another house Gecko from Reptile City! Felton was awesome & the communication was on point! Any questions I had pertaining to my order he answered in the most RESPECTFUL MANNER. I don't see how some people are leaving negative & disrespectful reviews. He is very nice & he knows what he is doing! Thank you Felton! A1 customer satisfaction
I would think any business owner would know it is wrong to post peoples personal info without permission... In your ridiculous reply trying to defend yourself when from what Ive read there are quite a large number of people who feel about you as I do... You are so worthless I cant even waste anymore time on you except seeing you took it upon yourself to release info that you absolutely crossed so many boundaries that now I cannot let this go... We will be dealing with this situation and you really went to far!. You need your business license revoked... You do know that you cant release customers info to the world... Do you know anything about the law?... We will be discussing this very soon!. This time I will definitely be calling you!...
Definetelly one of the best exotic animals store ive ever been
An amazing variety of reptiles, morphs, tanks and accessories in general including a really friendly crew that would love to answer any related questions you may have.
I have been provided one of the best animals I've ever owned. I got a bark Scorpion, who's an absolute doll. I couldn't get a male like I wanted, so I ended up with a female. I think that's actually better considering size. After extensive handling and co-roomed with me, she's became extremely docile and loving. She likes to sleep and sit on my shoulders. Has never bitten, or in anyway purposely harmed anyone (sharp claws). So I'd like to thank you guys for providing an excellent reptile and opportunity to learn more about these little guys.
Life should be valued either if it's a creature, person or even energy sometimes you don't understand. It's there... You can see, it feel it and it shouldn't be treated like it's meaningless... We all get pets to love them, make them part of the family... Bring $#*!ing incredible moments in our lives or our children. By our experiences with these companies not being recognized as there true cold nature... And why are we still buying from them? How can we help the next victim they decide to brush off like it's nothing? Sounds cheesy but that lizard is loved by my words... No creature, human, animal should die for nothing...
You shipped me a couple of Colorado River Toads for pickup at Bellingham Pet Supply recently. They arrived in great shape, very lively and made the cross-border trip home with me without any issues. They filled up on earthworms that night and a live pinkie rat the next day. They seem pretty jazzed on their 30-gallon biome and are incredibly smart little guys. I couldn't be happier with their condition although I might have to order again to try getting a breeding pair (from their nuptial pads I judge both to be males). Thanks again
They clearly state several times live animals are guaranteed overnight shipping, yet my tortoise was mailed priority shipping in the mail for three days and dead upon arrival. While they did replace it & send it correctly the second time - why go through the hassle of a replacement or refund when you could honor your shipping policies? They are based in Texas and my tortoise shipped from Florida so it was sent via second party breeder which leads me to believe the breeder is the cause of the shipping scandal Ive seen in multiple other reviews & with my experience. (Maybe find a more reputable source?) Both employees I spoke with at reptilecity.com seemed rather vexed and uncaring of my concerns - overall the worst customer service Ive ever had. While I appreciate receiving my tortoise correctly the second time, I will never support this company with my business again for theyre uncaring of the lives of their reptiles.
If you enjoy the lowest form of customer service and sickly animals upon arrival, then look no further, this company has got to be the worst, the owner is borderline antisocial, and their whole process seems to be non efficient, and my animal was sent in unmarked box with postmark 2 days prior for $8.95, I paid $29.95 for the overnight shipping. Poor thing didn't live 24 hours. Honestly the high star reviews have to be the exceptions to the rule, just go the the BBB website before giving this company money
I've heard many bad things about people getting amphibians from there, but I can say for certain my reptile is 100% healthy! I ordered a fire skink a couple months ago and shes doing very well! She's very social and loves being held :) my only issue was that she's quite a bit larger than the website had said, so we need to get a bigger cage. I got the 30 day shipping, expecting her to come a month later, but she came 14 days earlier! Very happy about that :)
This company and its employees should be criminally charged for what they are doing. If it is not animal cruelty, it is fraud. They sent me an ill iguana in a net with newspaper. I paid for next day air and it arrived a week later after three emails and five calls.
When I email them about the condition in which the iguana arrived. It was ignored. When I call them to tell them... "what's wrong with the iguana you sent me?" Felton tells me the invoice has a three day return policy.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE.
They might even own multiple websites and doing the same sham.
Hey I just received my order! While it did take longer than expected Im grateful you didnt send me the skinny iguanas and took the time to find me healthy animals. Everybody looks great and in perfect health so far! I was under the impression I was going to receive adult iguanas but these babies are adorable so I dont mind! Gorgeous coloration. Over all Im very pleased with how things turned out. Thanks again! I will definitely be ordering again in the near future!
Sent from my iPhone
We've gotten more than one iggy from R.City and everyone has come in great condition my big boy fred was a little angry from the trip but hes my baby now. Just got my baby blue iggy this morning i love him already he is healthy and happy and every alert for an iggy that has been on a plane all night you guys never disappoint me with my babies thanks again for our new additionyall the baddest in the game boss!
I ordered two bufo alvaris toads in February, it's now april and they never shipped. I've contacted them several times and they either ignore me or lie and say they are checking on it. Still no refund. Total scam! Avoid these thieves.
Thought I'd submit an update to my previous review from a couple months ago. The final scorpion that I ordered from this place has died. All of the other scorpions, which I have many, are all fine and healthy with absolutely no issues. It is not a coincidence that now literally every animal I ordered from this place is dead within a couple months. Regardless of the 2 or 3 positive reviews please stay away at all costs. If a place has a 90% negative rating (check BBB) then no further proof is needed. I'd almost bet money the positive reviews are paid reviews to make it seem like this business is decent. If they are not, I'm certain they will be feeling the pain when they find out the condition of their animals in a couple months. All it takes is a little time sometimes. Just don't risk it here, there are plenty other places.
Tip for consumers:
Stay Away. GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE.
Buyer beware. This site and Felton W. Is a scam artist who will steal your money and waste your time. Thankfully credit card can issue a chargebacks if you've been had by this company. If you've had a similar experience you should make a report with the FTC. Do not tolerate this nonsense.
Products used:
They will not send you anything and they will give you the run around
All the reviews are true, other then the positive ones that they clearly write themselves with fake accounts.
I paid for a turantula 3-4 day shipping never arrived was never even shipped but they took my money!
They've ignored all my emails, they ignore my calls, and when they did answer they acted like it was a hassle to do their job. If you want your money stolen go here!
Do not deal with this company. I ordered a Ribbon Snake for my son 5 weeks ago, was supposed to be shipped with in 4 weeks, nothing. I emailed after 4 weeks, and was promised it was shipping the next day... nothing. So after waiting a full 5 weeks and having a disappointed son not getting his snake, I cancelled the order. Of course it's going to take over a week to have my money put back on my card. Stay far away from this place is my recommendation.
"Exodus" is a Latin word derived from Greek Exodos, the name given to the book by those who translated it into Greek. The word means "exit," "departure" (see Lk 9:31; Heb 11:22). The name was retained by the Latin Vulgate, by the Jewish author Philo (a contemporary of Christ) and by the Syriac version. In Hebrew the book is named after its first two words, we'elleh shemoth ("These are the names of"). The same phrase occurs in Ge 46:8, where it likewise introduces a list of the names of those Israelites "who went to Egypt with Jacob" (1:1). Thus Exodus was not intended to exist separately, but was thought of as a continuation of a narrative that began in Genesis and was completed in Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. The first five books of the Bible are together known as the Pentateuch (see Introduction to Genesis: Author and Date of Writing).
Author and Date of Writing
Several statements in Exodus indicate that Moses wrote certain sections of the book (see 17:14; 24:4; 34:27). In addition, Jos 8:31 refers to the command of Ex 20:25 as having been "written in the Book of the Law of Moses." The NT also claims Mosaic authorship for various passages in Exodus (see, e.g., Mk 7:10; 12:26 and NIV text notes; see also Lk 2:22-23). Taken together, these references strongly suggest that Moses was largely responsible for writing the book of Exodus -- a traditional view not convincingly challenged by the commonly held notion that the Pentateuch as a whole contains four underlying sources (see Introduction to Genesis: Author and Date of Writing).

Exodus lays a foundational theology in which God reveals his name, his attributes, his redemption, his law and how he is to be worshiped. It also reports the appointment and work of Moses as the mediator of the Sinaitic covenant, describes the beginnings of the priesthood in Israel, defines the role of the prophet and relates how the ancient covenant relationship between God and his people (see note on Ge 17:2) came under a new administration (the covenant given at Mount Sinai).
Profound insights into the nature of God are found in chs. 3; 6; 33-34. The focus of these texts is on the fact and importance of his presence with his people (as signified by his name Yahweh -- see notes on 3:14-15 -- and by his glory among them). But emphasis is also placed on his attributes of justice, truthfulness, mercy, faithfulness and holiness. Thus to know God's "name" is to know him and to know his character (see 3:13-15; 6:3).
God is also the Lord of history. Neither the affliction of Israel nor the plagues in Egypt were outside his control. The pharaoh, the Egyptians and all Israel saw the power of God. There was no one like him, "majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders" (15:11; see note there).
It is reassuring to know that God remembers and is concerned about his people (see 2:24). What he had promised centuries earlier to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob he now begins to bring to fruition as Israel is freed from Egyptian bondage and sets out for the land of promise. The covenant at Sinai is but another step in God's fulfillment of his promise to the patriarchs (3:15-17; 6:2-8; 19:3-8).
The Biblical message of salvation is likewise powerfully set forth in this book. The verb "redeem" is used, e.g., in 6:6; 15:13. But the heart of redemption theology is best seen in the Passover narrative of ch. 12, the sealing of the covenant in ch. 24, and the account of God's gracious renewal of that covenant after Israel's blatant unfaithfulness to it in their worship of the golden calf (see 34:1-14 and notes). The apostle Paul viewed the death of the Passover lamb as fulfilled in Christ (1Co 5:7). Indeed, John the Baptist called Jesus the "Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world" (Jn 1:29).
The foundation of Biblical ethics and morality is laid out first in the gracious character of God as revealed in the exodus itself and then in the Ten Commandments (20:1-17) and the ordinances of the Book of the Covenant (20:22 -- 23:33), which taught Israel how to apply in a practical way the principles of the commandments.
The book concludes with an elaborate discussion of the theology of worship. Though costly in time, effort and monetary value, the tabernacle, in meaning and function, points to the "chief end of man," namely, "to glorify God and to enjoy him forever" (Westminster Shorter Catechism). By means of the tabernacle, the omnipotent, unchanging and transcendent God of the universe came to "dwell" or "tabernacle" with his people, thereby revealing his gracious nearness as well. God is not only mighty in Israel's behalf; he is also present in the nation's midst.
However, these theological elements do not merely sit side by side in the Exodus narrative. They receive their fullest and richest significance from the fact that they are embedded in the account of God's raising up his servant Moses (1) to liberate his people from Egyptian bondage, (2) to inaugurate his earthly kingdom among them by bringing them into a special national covenant with him, and (3) to erect within Israel God's royal tent. And this account of redemption from bondage leading to consecration in covenant and the pitching of God's royal tent in the earth, all through the ministry of a chosen mediator, discloses God's purpose in history -- the purpose he would fulfill through Israel, and ultimately through Jesus Christ the supreme Mediator.
