Half our township hasn't had their trash picked up. Some for weeks. There are strikes affecting 50 cities because even the employees hate this company. And Republic is the second largest trash company in the country. What happened to free market giving better products and services? This is why regulations happen. Because corporations like Republic services don't do what they've taken tax payers dollars to do. Republic sucks. Jon Vander Ark should be dumping cans instead of screwing customers. Hope you choke on your $4 million salary.
After the Storm we were told to put our damage fencing and neat piles by the curb well I did that it came through they did a first pickup and said it was a first pickup and they picked up some of my neighbors and the following week they passed us by again they didn't pick up our pile well on both trash day they didn't pick it up then the second month came by they didn't pick it up so I called for Miss picked up I called him three times had it scheduled for pickup they said they would pick it up and they didn't I pay for bulk pickup they didn't pick it up then on top of that the driver chooses not to pick up my trash can on regular pickup gets my neighbors on both sides of me but not my can and I pay quarterly auto pay so what's his excuse this time for not picking up my trash apparently he's lazy doesn't want to pick up the boat trash and who knows that might be a different driver so are you hiring nothing but lazy $#*! drivers that don't want to do their job for what we are paying them to pick up I called for Miss pickup on my can and I get they'll be out there the next day well guess what I get home the can is still there go figure

Horrible customer service. I made plenty of calls where they don't show up.because of snow or movie or lack of drivers. When I called to cancel it took three days and three phone calls.This company is third rate,
I contracted this company for residential garbage pickup in November of 2023. My garbage has been picked up once. They have so many excuses but are never able to pickup my garbage. I cancelled the service today, 2/21/2024 and guess what, my trash was not picked up again. I'm so disappointed being new to the state and dealing with a business like this. They need to be held accountable and learn how to treat their customers!
Have had RS for over 30 yrs. In the beginning you could put out trash in bags, bundles, and boxes. Would take it all, house trash, grass, leaves, branches. Then came the rolling trash barrel. Now allowed only four kitchen bags of trash and the price is $100 a month. Plus we now have added a fuel surcharge, even though fuels prices. No yard waste unless it fits in the barrel. It's a rip off. Trashcan is a wonderful guy, but the company, owned by none other than Bill Gates, is a money grubbing bunch of shisters.
My company signed a 3-year contract with Republic in 2017. We noticed over time the bill increased more and more and eventually with all the added fees; the bill ended up being three times more than originally. So, in Jan 2024, we decided to switch companies. I called to cancel service and they told me they would pass the message on to the sales rep. The sales rep called the next day to try to "help" me lower the bill. After she quoted a price that was still much higher than the competitor, I stated that I wanted to cancel the service. She then proceeded to get an attitude and threaten us with an "early termination fee." I asked how a fee could exist if we fulfilled our 3-year contract and she stated that the contracts continue and renews every year until you cancel it. My bill was increased without notice, looks like my bill was doubled, some weeks I didn't even have trash to be picked up charged anyway, never received any bills since I started with them. Looking for a new provider
If I could get another company to pick up trash I would. They quit picking up recycling then increased their price. I put my collection on a travel hold they keep forgetting what was done and then they charge me five dollars when I call to remind them I am on vacation hold.
I have experienced consistent service issues with he services provided by this company. They miss pickups routinely and when notified they promise / commit to a new pickup day which is typically not met. While their communications indicate that missed pickups will be resolved within 48 hours, this is definitely not the case. If you need reliable service, l recommend you stay away from Republic, Here is a picture of my trash bin - six days late and still counting.
10/10 customer service, 1/10 actual service. Over the 3 months we have had Republic, I've called at least 5 times. Missed pickups, astronomical bills that don't make sense. I was quoted "$40 every quarter" and I'm no mathematician but 12 div. 4 is every three months, right? I've received two bills, both at almost $100! They also charge a $38 container delivery fee that no one mentioned. They were NOT transparent with pricing.
Fortunately, all the customer service representatives have been very nice and helpful. I have cancelled my service to find something much more reasonable.
Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Ordered a dumpster didn't arrive, no call, no text. Tried again with them on the phone through the whole process for 2 days later. Once again didn't arrive no attempt on their part to contact me and let me know. Ended up paying for guys standing around with no dumpster. Their rating should be in negative numbers (way below zero)
Poorest customer service from phone to driver. Trash sat out for a week Tuesday July 7-11; 2-3 calls per day inquiring when it would be picked up. Each time I called I was told they would return the following day.
Driver came a week later July 11; picked up canister but not the bag sitting in front. We had no place to put current trash. He pulled off. I followed and asked for an explanation.
Robert #2380 said he didn't get notice to come back last week; they don't get trash not in dumpster. "I don't know what to tell you".

Republic trash service is inferior in customer service. They refused to pick up my trash after we missed trash day. The woman on the phone would not schedule a pick and only offered where the local landfill is.
No pickup for garden waste for several weeks. Contacted via phone call and online don't work. Nightmare for standing with this company two months that I paid already. Neighbours are asking about the this service.

Service is not good. We only used on vacation home. They can never keep straight dates that are supposed to run. Simple I asked for service April through October. I Just got charged AGAIN this year after being asked to stay with them another year. Stating that it was clearly in their system correctly now. Never Again!
I cancelled my service with republic in February of 2022. Every year they would try to double my rate so got tired of negotiating. They charged me for the whole month as cannot cancel mid month. I have now received an invoice of almost $100 for them picking up my two containers which includes an environmental fee of $32. I called customer service and they said this is a legitimate charge. Told them it was never in my contract and they can sue me for it. I will never use them again for anything. I would recommend that no one else uses them. Hopefully this is helpful. I am going to report them to the better business bureau.
Have had this company for service for over twenty five years, even back when it was locally known as Hatcher's. Having issues with them picking up everyone else's garbage but ours. We always pay our bill, so that is not an issue. Called CS agent Tuesday to report a missed pickup. Was told they would pickup this morning, on Wednesday. Pickup did not happen. Called to complain. Was told the issue was closed out by the driver. Also told our cans were NOT there to be picked up. I informed them that I have a security camera with date and time stamps. I was told it would be escalated to a supervisor. Also, I will need to provide the footage for proof. All this just to get someone to do their job! Meanwhile, flies and possibly maggots to come.

This is for a residential garbage service
Their prices are just ridiculous. They have been charging me $275 per quarter. I finally found an alternative (D&L Trash Removal) and they only charge $57 per quarter. This isn't an isolated incident. I used to have a bike shop and switched when I found out that Ray's Trash only charged half what they did. They are always increasing their prices and have a hefty Fuel / Environmental Recovery Fee. On my last bill it was $63 which is more than D&L's complete bill. On top of that they are going to charge me $30 just to pick up the can.
I see they have a rating of 1.03 stars. I can't imagine how they got the additional 0.03 starts.
I scheduled a bulk pickup of items by Republic. Two items. For some reason, the person who scheduled it for me thought I said that one of them was a chair (it's a squat rack). Enter the saga of the first pickup not happening, and being told by several representatives that it would be picked up by end of day.
I'm now waiting on day 3 after being told it would be picked up today to see if that happens. This company is run poorly and it's clear that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Avoid at all costs and encourage your locality to contract with another firm to handle trash services.
If things go as planned, Republic is fine. However, if a mistake happens and they forget to pick it up your trash you are essentially screwed. Spent probably close to three hours on hold over a period of several days, spoke to several people, was told I'd be called back by many, given days it would be picked up, and yet my trash still rains not picked up. My trash is disgusting and their customer service is the same.
From billing to bulk pickup to scheduling everything related to Republic services has broken down the company no longer provides customer service effectively or efficiently. It would seem that corporate no longer cares about regional or local sectors they are unable to accomplish their goals.

As a result of my invoices steadily jumping $$ without any warning, I called to cancel this service 2 months ago. Eight weeks and five phone calls later (several on hold for nearly 30 minutes), my service still hasn't been cancelled and I keep getting bills and now I have several late fees added on. I'm getting sick of this. Horrible customer service.

We moved to the mountains of Tennessee a few years back. When looking at the property we knew that rolling a can up and down wasn't feasible, so I called Republic. Before settling on proceeding or needed service, they sent a truck out to see if they could service our property, as our driveway is a 19• angle.
We came up with a solution of them changing out our dumpster monthly vs trying to empty it.
Our driver Andy is the nicest man and we've had no issues. I recommend them
Petra B and others at Republic Services have always been helpful and I truly appreciate what they do to help... even when things going wrong were my fault (like forgetting to put trash out on time) they were still there to come back and empty for me. I appreciate their customer service!
