I ordered 2 dresses from Retro Stage. First off, they looked nothing like the photo. Cheap, flimsy material. The sizing was WAY off - I wear about a 10 so I ordered a 10-12. It was about a 16. So, I sized down to an 8 and it fit like a 12.
I sent an email regarding returns. Sure, you can return stuff but you have to pay for shipping (from Canada to USA would cost me about the price of one dress), and they don't refund the original shipping price you paid. They offered me $10. That's it. So I'm out $80, or minimum of about $40 if I try to ship them back. Will never shop here again.
The retro dress arrived today, post marked from China. Very disappointed! It was supposed to be dark green, but was turquoise blue.
The lace work at the top was frayed. Very poor quality overall. I haven't bothered to return it as I don't want to waste my money on postage to get a refund when it won't happen.

Dress arrived and is lovely but not at all true to size- despite using the sizing chart, this is at least 2 sizes too small. Ah well, return and try again... no chance. The returns have to be sent to USA at your own cost, will have to obviously go through customs, so a refund won't be forthcoming anytime soon. The most worrying part though? Customer service knows that this is onerous and should know that it's also in breech of UK consumer law to have excessive delivery charges, so they offer a 30% refund to keep a useless item to spare you P&P and them doing refunds, also contravening UK consumer law. There are also laws re online purchases here- they must be refunded upon return regardless of the reason for the return (but unworn and in perfect condition) that are being blatantly ignored.
Very dodgy, either amateurs or scammers. Either way, reported to the relevant authorities. Also, have a look at the good reviews... bots all over the facebook ads as well.
Don't waste your money here- poorly cut clothing and a returns process designed to convince you to keep items that are useless to you.
The dresses are poor quality compared to what they are advertised to appear as! Don't trust the pictures on their website. I ordered a AU$55 dress which in reality came looking like a $20 dress. No value for money.

Ordered three dresses for almost $100 but the material of the products definitely do not reflect on the price. The dresses made of cheap material that smell strongly of chemicals and looks like they were hastily sewn together as some of the hems were fraying and thread was hanging out. Two of the dresses came with belts that were of such poor quality that the creases were incredibly noticeable where it was folded.
They're more akin to what I would expect from discount websites, rather than from a store/website claiming to be a boutique. The clothes are cute, but the material is really lacking. If the price reflected the cheap material, I would consider buying again. However, it is much too inflated for what it is actually worth. The website claims that they have strict measures of quality control; there definitely is not. I was bamboozled.

In love! Dress is a bit big. I wish I would have gone down a size but I'm always nervous when I read that. It's true! Measure yourself. Read the sizing and if closer to the smaller size go down one size! Isn't cheap quality and ships quick! I will absolutely shop here again!
I have ordered several items from here and absolutely love the figure flattering vintage styles. It's really fun to have styles that not everyone else is wearing. The clothes also wash well and hold up in the laundry.

I ordered a swim suit middle of March. Took 10 days for an email then stating it's on its way. As of 4/2 tracking reports hasn't moved since 4/2. Still sitting somewhere in china. Hard to given even one star at this point

For the prom that would never happen 2020, my daughter was ready to stun her date! The illusion straps made this a showstopper. Only needed slight alterations in top and length. Good communication with customer service since it was on back order at the time.
Very disappointed that my dress was too big- wager to return and replace with smaller size- 5 emails later and I still haven't heard anything. Great shame as the product is lovely and the pricing excellent. Won't be ordering again or recommending to anyone else until dispute is resolved.

Bought from the online store, shipped from china with a tracking number that's no where to be found.
I think this business is fake and its a scam.
Don't let the merchandise deceive you because their service is the worst ever and it sucks.
I guess I just threw $80 dollars in the garbage.

Ordered from the shop and it turned out to be send out from China by China post. Package took more then 60 days now and on the tracking it's somewhere arriving but in no local shipping can be found.
So better go for other sites like top vintage or so they deliver out of Europe on time.
Several exchanges with the service are mainly answered with be patient it will come.
Consider it 80USD as lost, anyway also they nowhere write that it's excluding customs duties.

What a great find! The quality is really good. I was a little concerned buying without seeing but no worries. I was so impressed with their product that I've bought 3 dresses so far. I had to return one because I inadvertently ordered the wrong size. They made the return easy. Very courteous customer reps! Great value for what you pay. I've also ordered a cape, headdress and gloves for an upcoming Titanic dinner! I can't wait to dress up. CAVEAT: Read the size chart carefully as some dresses are made smaller than others. This was my mistake, not reading carefully.

Recieved my dress in decent time. Fit is much better than expected. Overall very happy with the product especially for the price! My only complaint would be that sometimes the tracking doesn't seem to update correctly.
Loved the Pink 1920s Cap Sleeve Sequin Evening Dress I purchased for a Great Gatsby party. The price is great. The shipping was fast. My product shipped from City of Industry, CA and arrived in roughly 3-4 days, including the New Year holiday. I live in CA so an easy delivery distance.
I'm 5'7" and about 165 lbs. The large fit perfectly. In fact, I wondered if I could go down a size. The dress is long and I'll be wearing a 2 3/4" heel shoe. The dress still goes to the ground. If shorter, You might need to hem. Very comfortable fit.

I was super excited to find the really cute retro clothes. I got the shoes first which seem to be okay, the clothes came second. They do not fit as they are much smaller than described. Unfortunately I have to say this company is a scam because they make it impossible to contact them or refund /return items.
The only way that you can return an item is to email them to have instructions sent to you. I've emailed multiple times and weeks have gone by with no response. I finally found a number on their site and of course no one answers. I was able to leave a message but not surprisingly, no one called me back. I started looking at other reviews online and found that this is a consistent problem with them. Very sad because the clothes I got sent seemed to be decent quality.

Purchased a coat for my wife as a Christmas gift. The style looked good, but it is a little cheap (understandable at $90). I Tried to send it back, but since it was not opened until 15 days after receiving, I am outside of the return window. I'm lucky it was only $90.

Buy from Amazon before you buy from this company. They carry a lot of the same items. Terrible return policy. Slow processing and delivery. I placed my order on November 5. I just received notice that it was shipped 7 days later. Now I have an 8-12 period wait for the shipping. I've given 2 stars because I accept some of the blame for not researching this company.

Answer: XL is a Uk size 14 you have to look at the measurements not the Uk and Us sizes as they are a bit out. The sizing chart is at the bottom of the page of the required item go by the cm, s or inches

I ordered 2PCS White Blouse Top & Suspender Pants - White / XL / 10~12 and the size was smaller than a 10, about an 8, but you couldnt wear the pants anyway, so doesnt matter. They list XL as 10-12 but i would still size down and with how the pieces vary greatly, that might still be false.
