Ordered a roaring 20's dress from Retro Stage and it was fantastic. The price was great as well. My friends that bought from high price vintage stores were jealous because they paid so much more. I will be able to use this dress again and again. Sizing was perfect too.
Very disappointed in my experience. First, my shipment of two dresses took TWO months to arrive (for reference, I had two other packages from China arrive within two weeks). When they finally did arrive, I noticed they were made out of a cheap, scratchy material. When I finally put them on, they were huge on me! I'm 36" (bust), 27" (waist), 38" (hip) and ordered the small... by their size chart these should be small on me! They were both at least 2-4 inches large in multiple spots. I contacted customer service and they offered me either a coupon for the site (why would I buy more huge dresses that were already the smallest size available?) or to return them, shipping out of pocket. Shortly after I saw one of the dresses I bought being sold by a more reputable vendor -- they are obviously cheap knockoffs of stolen designs. Very disappointed.
Absolutely loved my dress! I got so many compliments. I was worried when I first took it out of the package as it looked small. The material was stretchy and this dress fit me like a glove. Shipping was fast. I highly recommend checking out Retro-Stage for vintage clothing.
I placed my order in early May of 2020. It is now early July and according to the tracking information I have the packages have not yet left the Netherlands. Customer support was absolutely no help when I tried to ask for support as they claimed that everything was shipped even though I had yet to receive any tracking information or email. My order still only says confirmed on the website and according to the tracking info provided there has been no movement of my package since June 17th. Unacceptable. Do NOT order from this place. Terrible service.

I purchased 2 dresses- 1950's Lemon swing dress and 1940's Navy Tea Dress. I bought both a size up and they are nearly perfect. Great fabric, sturdy with a little give. They hold their shape. And are soooooo pretty! I've paid way more through other dress companies, only to not be able to wear the dress later/nor return it. I'm happy with my RS purchase. I just know NOT to purchase if I'm in a hurry to receive the item. It does take awhile.
I ordered 2 dresses, they said they arrived via the tracking app, they haven't. I tried to reach out and received an unprofessional repetitive email stating I may not get a reply for weeks.
Edit! Tracking app was messed up dresses did eventually arrive and I do love them!

I bought two bathing suit totalling $70. One had two different size leg hole and the other was just weird, so as pictured. I have to send their defective merchandise back at my own cost. Plus they won't refund my original shipping cost. So it cost me $25 to get my $50 back. What a rip off. Horrible merchandise and customer service

My order was supposed to arrive by today (based on their expedited shipping estimate). I never received an email saying my order was shipped. I have no tracking information whatsoever. I have received zero communication after the initial order confirmation. I have not received the items that I paid over $100 for.
Their customer service phone number *******186) does not work. Yes, I tried repeatedly. I am not going to pay international rates and try their other number. It should not be this difficult to reach customer service or to inquire about the shipping status of an order.

Do not trust this company, and do not spend a single penny. The dresses might look beautiful, but the quality turns out to be utter crap on delivery. Also, they don't understand the difference between a size M and a size XXL, and they refuse to acknowledge any complaints or requests for your money back. This is a company of swindlers and liars.

This is my second purchase as I absolutely love the clothing and accessories don't know why people complain the quality is good. Both look better on than off. I ordered 2 dresses on 8/31 for an event on 9/21. I paid expedited shipping, which states delivery in 6-10 business days. It is now 9/24 and I have not received my order. I contacted customer service and they sent me a link to tracking. A link I already have. When I inquired again they stated the dresses are hung up in customs. Very poor customer service and false shipping estimates. I have no use for the items when they do arrive as the event has past. I would not recommend ordering from this site! I wish I had seen all of the negative reviews prior to doing business with them.

Loved vintage dresses from this store. I used the sizing chart and it fits great! Very cute dress, well made. Seams are sewn well and zipper is smooth. Has some stretch in the top material but not the bottom, however the cut of the skirt allows for this to not be an issue with the fit. I put a petticoat under it and it looked even better.
It fits great but isn't like the picture. The picture shows pleats in the front so I expected that to make it a full swing skirt as advertised. There are no pleats so it doesn't look right with a petticoat. The material is like a stretch denim and it's not pretty. The waist rides up so the seam is across my chest and I have to keep pulling it down. Just very dissatisfied over all. Going to try to dress it up with a waist cincher or wide belt to see if it can be salvaged.

This company needs to be reported to the authorities immediately. They have been dodging my requests In refunding my return that I had insured so I would know that it was returned to the confirmed location. They faked a receipt and said they returned my item and when I checked the bank and it was not returned. I will be contacting the police if they do not give me my return this week. This is a con artist company and needs to be exposed. Do not, shop here. Do not.
To Retro Stage: I suggest that you don't make it so difficult for customers to return your products. It's unfair. People don't know how items will fit or look until they have them in their possession. It's difficult to shop online. Items look different on screen than in person. Birkenstock, Target, Walmart, Amazon lets you return things at no cost to to the customer. It's not worth it shopping here. Go on Amazon and see if there's a vintage style that you like instead. There's a big hassle and a lot of e-mail tag to be able to return an item and they are hoping that the 15 days that you have to return an item will be up before they confirm that you can return the item. They also try to talk you into keeping the item. Retro stage is a manipulative company and I will be proactively advocating against their business.
Notice in the picture I attached…. They said we will give you some useful advice, lol, yep they definitely tried to do that. When a customer just wants to return an item then let them return that item.
I ordered a dress, feather flapper headband, dangle earrings, and shoes for a Great Gatsby themed NYE party. I'm 5'0", 160 lbs, and busty so I ordered a XL dress. I received all items within 12 days from the date I placed my order. The dress is even more beautiful in person and I was very impressed with the quality. It also has a little bit of stretch to it so I was able to slip it over my head without having to unzip the zipper. The feather headband, earrings, and shoes were all as pictured and also high quality. I received compliments all night. I love it and would definitely order from Retro Stage again!
Dress arrived in poor condition with trim not sewn to dress. Bracelet broke when putting it on. Dress was far bigger than measurements on website. Attempts to amend this have been ignored. I will not be buying from retro stage again.

I'm really happy with the swimsuit I ordered. It's really well made and fit well. I intend on ordering another one because there are so many to choose from. And I want a dress or two, or three!
We ordered a very pretty embroidered dress but in the wrong size. Upon realizing our error, we contacted customer service and the size was promptly corrected. When we receive the dress, the zipper was broken. The after-sales service offered us a partial refund, which allowed us to get the zipper replaced at a local tailor shop.
With the zipper now replaced, my wife loves the dress, She finds it very comfortable to wear and we both love the style.
So far, we have ordered 4 dresses from Retro Stage, and we are very happy with our orders.

Answer: XL is a Uk size 14 you have to look at the measurements not the Uk and Us sizes as they are a bit out. The sizing chart is at the bottom of the page of the required item go by the cm, s or inches

Answer: I would say yes, China sizes. I ordered 2PCS White Blouse Top & Suspender Pants - White / XL / 10~12 and the size was smaller than a 10, about an 8, but you couldnt wear the pants anyway, so doesnt matter. They list XL as 10-12 but i would still size down and with how the pieces vary greatly, that might still be false.
