Easy and professional...

Easy and professional... Car was picked up on time but delivered slightly late. I like that the same person that picked it up, dropped it off! This was a newer Dodge Charger with 24 inch custom wheels which most car carriers would charge more for. Roadrunner and their driver had no problems with this and nothing was damaged or hindered on the car. I would recommend Roadrunner to my friends and family. Great service, great price!

Communication could have been better
November 6, 2017

Communication could have been better. Both from Roadrunner prior to the pick up and during the delivery from the trucker. At one point he told me that he would be here on Friday evening and when he didn't show I called only to learn he was still 2 states over, forgot to let me know.

Easy to use, explained process well, The company they sent Showtime Motorsports was great they really took their time loading and unloading you could tell they really took pride in what they do. Would use this company again. Only took about a week to ship two cars from Reno, NV the Florida

Very easy to reserve
July 3, 2018

Very easy to reserve. Pick up of my car for shipping was changed 3 times. Car had 3/4 tank before pickup. When I received the car on june 29th it only had 1/4 tank of gas. Chewing gum in paper was found in my console. Glad I finally received it after almost 2 months from booking date of May 4th

Zack was attentive in that he responded in a timely fashion for each of my contacts with him. Though he did not tell me the dates were 'tentative', it caused me problems in that, I'd scheduled everything around the dates I gave to way later be told the dates were 'tentative.

My car was delivered at 23:00 in the dark

My car was delivered at 23:00 in the dark. Not visible to me until daylight there are dents in the hood from the transportation. The driver made me sign the BOL without telling me about it. I realized the next morning when the sun came up.

Was given a different price than what agreed upon receiving the quote. Asked for a specific date of pick up and was assigned a driver at the last minute. Poor communication with Agency. Had to reach out to them for information and updates on pick up.

Ordering the service was an easy on-line process. Working with the agent to confirm all of the parameters was also good. The driver was professional, friendly and accommodating.

There were two minor disappointments:

1. I was pressured to purchase insurance at a very high price. The policy was about $100 to cover just a few days of transport for a very-low probability incident that would not be characterized as the carrier's responsibility. According to my insurance company, typical policies that cover a person's vehicle would also cover the type of incident covered by the expensive policy. My insurance company told me that I was covered and did not need the insurance.

2. I had a tight deadline as I wanted to keep the vehicle for my use until 1 day before or the day of my departure. No one was able to assure me that the driver could meet the schedule or tell me that I needed to give up the car earlier. I did not know until the day before pickup when the car would be picked up.

Scheduling/pickup from out of state was quick & easy, price was reasonable, contact/communication was constant, and drop off service was timely, polite & courteous. I've never purchased a car from out of state before, sight unseen, but your transportation service was the most solid, worry free part of the process. Thanks very much!

Worst customer service ever!
December 13, 2016

Worst customer service ever! The personnel on transport vehicle were an hour later than they schefuled. Delivery was even worse. They called and advised I had to meet them quite a distance from my home. They were 2 and a half hours later than they called and told me they would be. Final payment terms were changed to cash only by the delivery driver. I would not recommend utilizing this company to anyone.

The booking process was very easy and after requesting a bid, I received almost an immediate response. The vehicle was picked up and delivered just as promised. The driver was very efficient and courteous asking if there was anything else he could do.

Poor driver customer service
November 11, 2017

Poor driver customer service. I had to bribe him with an additional $100 to not leave my car because he said it was in a tough location for his 70' semi. He never mentioned that prior to arriving. I felt like he was holding my car hostage so I had to bribe him. He continued to verify that I was paying him the additional $100 as he hauled my car across country. It made me feel like he was going to abandon it if I did not pay.

It was a good straightforward process

It was a good straightforward process. There was a couple issues with the payment process but that was on my bank for not releasing the funds and the customer service was patient and helpful through the whole process. I would recommend them if you need your vehicle transported.

I called, I ordered, vehicle was picked up at the requested date. Delivery was a bit sooner than I expected (which was just fine with me) off load went well. Driver was paid.
Overall experience was very, very good. If I need auto transport again, I will call Road Runner Transport.

My vehicle, delivered vehicle with new (and the only) a dent, paint transfer, and scratches at 1:00 o'clock in the morning two weeks after scheduled delivery date. When I subsequently discovered the new damage, "Nicole K." defended the perpetrators stating that because I did not note the damage upon delivery, she would not even consider sending a claims officer out to investigate AND that I should not have taken the delivery at 1 in the morning. So basically letting me know that 1) it was my fault for wanting my car delivered immediately after it was a week later than scheduled, 2) it was my fault for not being able to see in the dark (driver refused to bring my vehicle into my apartment's lit parking lot), and 3) it was my fault for expecting this company to back the drivers in which they hire to represent them.

So far, so good
November 25, 2019

So far, so good.
However, after cleaning the car, that was dirty when unloaded, multiple scratches were observed.
I followed the claim procedure as I purchased additional insurance, but I am still waiting for the payment that was approved. (11/25/2019)

My vehicle delivery was delayed by over a week due to the driver's truck having mechanical issues. Although the driver was apologetic, I was very disappointed with the lack of communication and way the situation was handled.

The service was good. Final charges were a bit higher than originally quoted but the difference wasn't too bad. The driver was awesome. Perfect 10. He communicated real expectations for delivery and was very professional. 5 Star service.

Communication was not great

Communication was not great. I continued to receive emails about booking a car shipment after I already booked. I did not hear from RoadRunner as my pick up date approached, so I had to reach out. Once we had a pick up date, RoadRunner initially wanted me to drive the car 10 miles from my home, which would have been extremely inconvenient, and not what was agreed to (door to door pickup and delivery). We eventually agreed to a place a mile and a half from my home, which was acceptable. After the pickup, communication improved. When the carrier had a breakdown, RoadRunner reached out about whether I wanted to them to find another carrier (yes, of course). They initially said the new delivery would be five days later, which I strongly objected to, and then they found a substitute carrier to deliver it on time. The delivery did take place as finally discussed.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I wish there was an option for -100 stars. This is by far the worse company to exist in the USA.

I cannot emphasize enough how utterly horrendous my experience with RoadRunner Auto Transport has been. This company's incompetence and complete lack of professionalism have left me flabbergasted and infuriated.

I initially hired them to transport my car from New York to Florida, and that's when my ordeal began. They failed to pick up my car on the agreed-upon date, leaving me stranded and anxious. What's worse is that they still haven't managed to pick up my car or deliver it to its destination, despite their promises.

Attempting to contact this company is an exercise in futility. Phone calls go unanswered, and if by some miracle you get through, you're subjected to an eternity on hold before eventually having to hang up on yourself due to frustration and lack of patience. Emails are equally ignored, as if my concerns and inquiries don't even matter to them.

When I finally managed to get someone from the company on the phone, they had the audacity to inform me that my car was ready for pickup but required an additional payment of $300 to $400 beyond the original quote. This blatant attempt at price gouging left me dumbfounded. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the person on the other end of the line, presumably the owner, responded with an astounding level of rudeness. He callously stated, "Too bad for you, I'll cancel your order," before hanging up on me.

I implore anyone reading this review to steer clear of RoadRunner Auto Transportat all costs. This company is not only a broker of incompetence, but a prime example of how not to conduct business. Their false promises, lack of communication, and outright hostility toward customers make them a blight on the industry.

Even their hollow assurances of using reviews to improve ring hollow, as my experience only worsened after encountering them. Do not give RoadRunner Auto Transport the chance to deceive you into thinking they'll improve. They are a disgraceful excuse for a business, and it would be a grave mistake to consider entrusting them with your transportation needs.

Save yourself the headache, stress, and undoubtedly wasted money by avoiding RoadRunner Auto Transport. Their actions are not only unacceptable but border on deceitful and dishonest. In my opinion, engaging with them would be nothing short of a regrettable and costly mistake. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
