I purchased the crazy horse leather backpack, and when it came in the mail, I knew something wasn't right. The bag that I received (on the right) does not match the bag online (on the left). The shape was more rounded and the backpack was smaller than what it appeared to be online. There was no company packaging at all, which i thought was strange, since they claim to be a family owned business. So I went to return the bag, and a few days later I was given a return address to someone's apartment in Alabama. I did not answer the email and a few days later they had a new US address to send to me. I realized that this company is based in China, not California like they led me on to believe, because the package sent to me was from the Republic of China. I do not feel comfortable sending this item to another customer in another state, where I know that the item is not legit and I do not want to be part of their scam. Please do not support this fraudulent business.

I just recently purchased from them. I'm highly upset! I bought a bookbag purse from the site on March 1st and I paid the extra $21 for 5-7 day shipping. I waited til March 12th to contact them because I counted 7 business days. The guy who answered the phone number said they were out of stock and mine was being made. He said it would ship out that next Monday. So on Monday I still didn't receive a tracking number. I decided to email asking for a refund of the money I paid for shipping or either a full refund. The lady who emailed back said they would send my tracking number. I received a tracking number 2 days later. I FINALLY got my bag at the end of the month on the 28th of March. I immediately opened it all excited to just finally have it. Only to be disappointed! The damn thing didn't look like the picture! I was livid! I started emailing the lady back asking for a return address because I wanted a full refund! She tried convincing me to keep the bag and they'd refund me 20% which was only $34. I politely said no and I wanted a full refund. She said she'd get me a return address in 1-3 days. On the 4th day I emailed again she said she would have that return address for me in 2 days. Finally I got the return address and I sent it immediately but the weirdest thing happened. She told me to not leave a note in the bag when I sent it. Well the bag arrived to that return address yesterday and I have yet to get an email back and I've emailed her twice. I'm guessing I'm gonna have to chalk it up to a $174 loss. I'll let you know if I ever do get the refund but I highly doubt it.

I bought this for my grandson and he was thrilled with it. I live in another state so I don't have any first hand knowledge of how it is wearing but it is very well made. I'm sure it will last a really long time! He had the biggest smile on his face when he opened his gift!

If you're on the fence with buying this bag, go ahead and buy it. From the zippers to the leather the quality and craftsmanship is excellent. Also, if you're deciding between the regular and large sizes get the larger size. You will be happy to have the extra space with odd shaped toiletry items like an electric toothbrush. Great purchase, very pleased.

I wanted a leather backpack for business to carry my laptop and other devices in when I went to work or on trips. I looked at other designers products, and they were asking for way to much money for a little bit of leather, and a name. I came across Rock Cow Leather Studios by doing more research, and I found this gem of a backpack! I am so impressed with the quality and craftsmanship, and I have so many others asking me where I got it from. I already purchased another one for a family member who fell in love with mine! Great product, and a great gift!

Got this for my husband for his birthday! It's gorgeous, smells amazing, the shoe compartment is big, the bag holds the perfect amount for a full weekend away.
The tag was even stamped with his initials! What a beautiful touch! Don't any further, if you've arrived on this bag just pull the trigger. Will be order again for my FIL.

The backpack is constructed very well and has a great amount space for my laptop and other items that I need to have with me on a daily basis. I have also received numerous compliments on how nice it looks. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

I was so excited to have receive my backpack. It came much more earlier than expected. This backpack is very durable and the leather is so soft. Even though it's a little heavy, it's still very comfortable for every day college use. I have received many compliments on my first day. I love how it has many compartments on the outside making it convenient for smaller items. The quality is outstanding. I recommend this backpack.

My husband absolutely loves his new bag! The leather is rich and rustic and thick and you can literally smell the quality! Love the feel of it and it's the perfect size. Also the delivery was fast as well, even shipped from China during the Christmas season.

I don't usually write reviews but wow this deserves one! I got this for my boyfriend who is starting student teaching and he loves it! The quality is so so nice, beautiful stitching and color, amazing smell, overall such a great satchel. The price really isn't that bad for such a sturdy and nice bag. Plus it's real leather. I am in love with this purchase and so excited for my boyfriend to use it in the classroom! I also got his initials on it and it looks fantastic! The shipping didn't take near as long as I thought it would! I definitely give it a 10/10

Ordered a bag from this company that looked to be from California. Next thing I knew I got emails about product coming from China. When my bag arrived it was not a good quality and not up to description and cost. Took a long time and many emails for them to accept I wanted a Return/Refund. When I finally got an address for return it was a city/province/country code but no company name or street. Will cost a lot to send, probably won't get there, doubt I'll get refund.

Bought a barrel shoulder bag with pockets. Took.a long time to receive,came from China.not.CA. Posting not mentioning.it is now in self destruct mode falling apart after about 120 days of daily use. What a fraud only 30 warranty or return.

I have been attempting to return an item due to poor quality for weeks. This company will not reply to emails or calls. I finally heard from them and they agreed to accept the return and made me pay $25 to ship it back to them. They then would not reply to the delivery being made for the return. After all this, they did not return all my money. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. These people are crooks.

I love the bag. Its beautiful…a piece of work. The only thing that I might suggest is if you could make the straps that convert to backpack, if those could be detachable. That would be perfect!

If I could give a 0, I would. You can NOT return items as you have to pay shipping to China! Shipping was $180 for $125 item. They kept bs ing us saying they would get a USA address... nope. Do not nut from them. Zipper on item was aweful.

It's everything I wanted and more. It is sweaty on my back after while. This is my favorite backpack ever and I'm a bag Guy. This is for my personal vehicle and I use my Oakley bag for work. If you want a bag with style, organization, and good feel this is it. I love it. Glad I bought it and proud to flaunt it.

Only on the plastic shipping bag did I see Republic of China is their location. Their return policy is total subterfuge. It states they will prepay freight if an item is damaged. I received 3 shoddy bags, but said I would only return the leather bag that had a v shaped ink mark. The response from * was informing ME to CLEAN IT. After repeated emails to them, we tried calling 30 times only to get suspicious messages such as "The number is busy..." or "Internet problems...". I am contacting my credit card, the BBB, the Attorney General or whoever could stop them from selling in the United States. I would imagine their reviews on the site are as fake as their policies.

I bought 3 different bags from RockCow as Christmas gifts for my son and 2 son-in-laws, and I loved each and every one. I initially bought 2 of the lighter types and needed a 3rd and went with the vintage style. The craftsmanship and detail are really impressive. They're beautiful to look at and with time will age beautifully as well.
