I have to admit that I read some of these reviews and was concerned about buying from Rogue Fitness. I decided to go ahead and placed an order for a full set of bumper plates, an Olympic bar and an HR-2 Half Rack. After I placed my order, they replied that it would not be ready for 6 weeks - which was 2 - 4 weeks longer than they represented on their website. As it turned out, however, they did a great job! All the equipment arrived in just over a week and they were very responsive to a couple of questions and minor order changes. And as you would expect from Rogue, the equipment is terrific. All in all, I had a very good experience with Rogue.
I recently purchased a barbell from Rogue Fitness, attracted by their advertised "lifetime warranty" and "30-day return policy." Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Within three weeks of receiving the barbell, I discovered a deep scratch on the coating. Concerned about the durability and overall quality, I reached out to Rogue Fitness to request a return and refund under their stated policies. However, after a week of back-and-forth communication, they refused to honor both their 30-day return window and their lifetime warranty. I'm disappointed with both the product's quality and the lack of responsiveness from customer service. They do not stand by their warranty or return policy, which is frustrating as a customer who trusted their promises. If you're considering purchasing from Rogue Fitness, be cautious. In my experience, the barbell's coating was of poor quality, and the company was unhelpful in resolving the issue. I hope this helps others make a more informed decision.
I'll be honest - I am a little surprised by the negative reviews on here for this company. Given that customer service is something that is judged on the aggregate and not individual basis, I leave it up to you to do your own research, but my experience with Rogue Fitness was great. I ordered the Rogue Echobike to be delivered to Ontario, Canada and it took 15 days from entering the order online to showing up at my door.
The website was clear that due to COVID-19, shipping was delayed 5-7 days. They have both an app and a page on their website where you can track your order status. Indeed, for about a week my order stayed under the status of "Processed". And then a few days later, it was shown as Picked, Quality Controlled and then Shipped. Shipping is from Ohio and so it didn't have too far to travel but still managed to get across an international border in around 2 weeks. It is a ~140lb box.
UPS made a typo of my phone number and so the shipping status said they had left me a message to arrange a time to deliver it but I was not getting any voicemails. I emailed Rogue's support and they replied within a day, saying that they were inquiring with UPS about the status and would get back to me. I ended up calling UPS myself right after because I was so impatient and they told me about the typo, I gave them the correct number and the shipment arrived the next day. I let Rogue Support know that we figured out the issue and they told me to follow up and let them know when the bike arrived and if I had any other issues.
The Echobike arrived in perfect condition. As for the product - I love it. Having scoured the market for comparable exercise bikes, I found the price to be right, and the quality seems exceptional (though that will be judged in a few years after some wear and tear). I am very happy with the product and company. I notice many of the poor reviews here were during the summer where I am sure they were both being inundated with crazy demand for home exercise products and having to deal with COVID-19 lockdowns and fewer employees to run the operations. My order date was October 9 and delivered October 24, and it seems like their supply chain is doing better now.
Late February 2021 I ordered a Rogue Echo Bike from Rogue Fitness. The Bike arrived on 3/3/2021. I began using the bike the same week and noticed the HR on the console was not accurate, off up to 50 beats per minute when compared to polar beat app and garmin fenix 5x plus. The app and the watch both displayed correct HR readings while the Rogue fitness monitor did not. I immediately contacted Rogue and after jumping through hoops for a few weeks they finally decided to send a replacement. The replacement took another 3-4 weeks to be sent. I received the replacement in April 2021. I installed it and tested it out but noticed the same incorrect HR readings happening. I was using my phone in the "Rogue phone holder" on the echo bike playing music. I noticed that with no external HR transmitting device the Rogue console would show HR readings on its own with the readings all over the place. After much time wasted troubleshooting, I determined that electronics and sound causes the HR function of the Rogue console to malfunction. I contacted Rogue again and this is the response I received some time later We wanted to follow up regarding your monitor's heart rate readings. There have been a number of questions related to the monitor, connectivity, interference and how the software interprets and displays signals from connected devices. We apologize for any inconvenience, but at this time, we would not recommend using an external speaker close to the console if trying to obtain an accurate heart rate reading. Our team and the manufacturer are working on a possible fix, but at this time, we unfortunately, do not have any other solution. Thanks for understanding. Ben D." To date I have not heard back and the console continues to malfunction. On Rogue's website this is the description of the console. " mounted LCD console measures 6.375" x 6.375" and features a crystal clear, high contrast display. Athletes can select or create a wide range of modes, including Intervals (20/10,10/20 or a custom Work/Rest interval), Target (choose a goal Time, Distance or Calories and the console will count down based on your selection), and Heart Rate Tracking (please note that a heart rate transmitter is required to send data, but is not included). The console runs on two AA batteries, which are included."No where does it mention that is does not work with the phone holder specifically made for the bike. If it has a phone holder then one should be able to utilize a phone in this position. As someone who uses HR zones for workouts this makes it very hard to utilize this piece of equipment. No other gym equipment professional or home use that I have used does this. This bike and all its extra's were expensive. $799 for the bike. I should be entitled to a refund for something that does not function correctly. To date I have not received anything.
