Except for having to charge the Battery 7 times not a bad lawn mower. I was just lucky that I own several 18V Ryobi tools and I finished my lawn in one day. Else it would have taken me 3 days to mow my lawn. Thanks for such a good tool. I was a bit skeptical about a battery lawn mower but not bad at all Wayne Perschbacher
I own about 7 Ryobi lawn tools. I took my mower to a repair shop (recommended by Ryobi) and it came back missing a tiny part--a small gray plastic piece that fits into the mower handle. I asked the shop if they found it and they said no. They also said they could not order it for me. I contacted Ryobi, they sent me a booklet and made me find and tell them the part #. I was promised 3 months ago that it was being sent and asked to rate the service. I gave them 5 stars. Well, turns out they lied and the part was never going to be sent. They told me today that they don't have that part and to go to the repair shop...folks we have too many negligent companies like this who commit fraud. I say enough is enough and I am never purchasing another Ryobi tool again nor am I ever shopping at Home Depot again.
Most Ryobi tools are a good value for the money. This tractor is not. I would not buy it again.
Priced at over $4000, Ryobi offers great phone technical support, but then expects customers to perform the repairs. The reason is that they have very few convenient service locations.
Pros:
Powerful and can haul up to 450 lbs. using an optional trailer.
Removable deck to take it almost anywhere.
Super quiet and no need for gas and oil. No fumes.
Cuts great but the deck clogs easy.
Cons:
Poor support geared for customers to repair their own products.
Slow to ship replacement parts.
Poorly designed brake system. Difficult to engage with cheap plastic handle that breaks.
Poorly designed LCD. Replaced one in less than a year.
I have been a fan since the tools were blue, the closest competition is no where close. I guess that means customer service and questions don't matter. I have wasted way too much of my time recently just trying to get an answer about a new product. Why should I waste days on hold just to give you a chance to sell me something? Guess I'll stick to my gas brush trimmer. Sad.
I like the ride we too they're really affordable but talking with someone about them they're very short and rude if I'd have known that I'm about I would have bought the DeWalt I have some they send out Parts with no problems

I recently purchased a Ryobi power tool and tried to register it by creating an account. Each time I tried to create the account I would get an error message telling me the site no longer exists. I have given up.
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Help+ on their site does not work called customer service 38 mins later still no person. So how do I get this near $300 framing nailer fixed that's less than a month old? Avoid at all cost spring for the dewalt or Milwaukee.
Im at wits end now after spending $19.99 for a 2-in-1 pivoting fixed line and bladed head and it broke like the last one in under 10 minutes. Im ready to find another string trimmer but i do love all the other Ryobi tools
The website will not allow me to register my tools nor create an account. All links circle back around to registering page. Drop menus don't work. So overall learning about their product through their own means doesn't work. Been attempting through phone/tablet/desktop
I've used this shearer 2 times now and something happened to the blade and it will no longer trim. It moves back and forth but won't cut anything. Some of their other tools I've purchased from Ryobi have been fine but this is pretty poor, cheap quality. I can either pay Home Depot to look at it and try to fix it or take it to some Ryobi center and it will take them 8 weeks to look at it as they have more than 250 jobs in front of mine. OMG, how frustrating and what a crappy tool.
I've bought a garage full of ryobi tools in the last 4 years based on the fact that Home Depot did their warranty service repairs. The self propelled function went out on my lawn mower while still under warranty. Home Depot is no longer a service center for Ryobi tools effective January of 2023. My only option now is to drive or ship my lawn mower 135 miles from my home. That doesn't really work for me, so Ryobi told me that's your option, if you don't take it, your warranty service is not covered. Crappy customer service. Ryobi needs more service centers since they lost Home Depot. Having to ship a lawn mower for warranty repairs is ridiculous. Sure wish I didn't have a garage full of these tools. I certainly will not be purchasing any more of them since they can't honor their warranty service without it being a major inconvenience for their customers.

I made the huge mistake of buying multiple Ryobi battery operated tools so that I could stick with one battery type for all of them. Unfortunately, the batteries are going bad and there is no way to get support from Ryobi for them. It was impossible to get hold of Ryobi customer service, and once I did, they didn't believe me unless I had all the receipts. I then went to Home Depot to get the receipts and could not because they have no search function in the database. I then tried to get hold of Ryobi again with no luck. Home Depot stopped supporting Ryobi tools or batteries and the support centers are 80 miles away from my house in Melbourne, Florida. This is a horrible business model for a tool that you feature all over your store.
I have the whole set of Ryobi tools and love them. They hold charge for a long time and are quick to recharge. I also like the fact that they are not heavy to hold for a long time. My neighbor got me this one for Christmas because I was always borrowing his. The small drill is perfect for use inside finishing my cabinets.
Bought a vacuum and within a year it stopped working. I reached out to customer service and had the worst experience ever. Finally after hours I got ahold of someone who I had to send proof of purchase to and then he hung up on me. Luckily I had his email and continued to follow up. My vacuum was replaced by a similar one (since it was under warranty) but the piece of garbage they sent me doesn't hold a charge. I have to charge it everytime I use it. Will be purchasing a new vacuum soon and will NOT be using this brand.

I need to redo my review, Ryobi has contacted me and is helping to address my issues. So I'll be back with a new review. I am giving it 3 stars just for the way it removes snow will add a star or two when my issues are resolved.
My Ryobi mower would not start after one year of normal home use. I took to Home Depot. Home Depot charged me $33 to assess. They discovered severed wire. They would not cover under warranty, saying broken part was due to "owner abuse" and "owner neglect."
If you go look at reviews at Home Depot website you see similar problems for Ryobi mowers. The product is cheaply constructed and Home Depot is not trustworthy. Spread the word. Don't buy at Home Depot.

1st time buyer of a Ryobi walk behind lawnmower it's light weight and stores easier than my old gas one
Don't see the purpose for the led light but all in all it's a great machine and I would recommend it to anyone.
My only regret is I didn't purchase it a lot sooner.
Tip for consumers:
Do not store battery in charger/keep battery indoors in winter

I've been buying Ryobi 1+ tools for years. I've got to the point where I reach for one of them rather than use my corded tools. The batteries are years old and still holds charges better then any other brands I've owned in the past.

My lightly used 40V mower stopped working. I was hopeful that Ryobi customer service would provide a solution under warranty. Almost a week waiting on the customer service line after the chat and email features failed to work and i finally got a call back. *note* if you are experiencing heavier than normal call volume every day, the that's actually normal call volume and you should do something about it. Unfortunately, when i did get through, i was given a list of repair shops, but none of them, within 250 miles of me, would repair a battery operated mower. So the warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. I had been a loyal ryobi customer, thinking i could use many tools on the same platform, but i've learned a hard lesson. Never again.
I started purchasing Ryobi tools around 15 years ago as an HVAC mechanic, quality and durability has never been an issue on job sites. Collection had grown to include trimmers, blowers, lights, saws, drills and much more. My family knows what to purchase for me at Christmas, birthdays and fathers day. I wish I could find the 18 volt pool vacum in Canada, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Absolutely love the Ryobi product line. Can't wait to see what I get this father's day.

Got my 40v chainsaw today, to go along with my collection of tools, drill, skill saw, vacuum, light, etc, really handy and cut up some trees for firewood in the and it works great, just like the others, highly recommended!
Great Tools. I purchased my wife a blower and weed trimmer a year ago due to me having knee replacement so she could help keep things done around the house. Since that time we both have just fell in love with the product, purchasing additional batteries, hedge trimmers, buffers etc. This not only gives her ownership of tools but keeps her from getting my heavy man tools out. Great products and HD stands behind them with warranty replacements, She now goes down the Ryobi Isle at HD now making a wish list. Now I know why my dad purchased ryobi tools...
Purchased the Ryobi Leaf Blower at Home Depot. Excellent product! I am very impressed with the power that this machine has; blows the leaves from my yard clear over into my neighbors yard! Who can complain about that?! It comes with 2 re-chargeable batteries and a battery charger! Should have bought one years ago!
We currently own several Ryobi products battery operated mower now five years old, same battery and has never failed in hundreds of use. Same as weed eater string trimmer purchased at the same time as mower. We recently purchased a 3 Gallon vacuum cleaner that is so handy for auto cleaning and works as good as my large shop vac without the hassle of extension cords and long unruly hoses.
Great dependable products Next one up to purchase is their extension wash brush.
We live on the northern coast of California we have to mow our lawns from February through October, so Ryobi has proved to us that they make reliable tools.

I am over 80 years old and have enjoyed gardening, landscaping, and mowing for 60 of those years. We recently sold our home that had 2 and a half acres of lawn and gardens because it became too much of an effort to handle properly. With far less area to care for in our new home, I thought everything would fine. Not exactly, in need of a shoulder replacement made it impossible to handle heavy and hard to start gas equipment. From lawnmowers to leaf blowers my yard became silent. My most recent Ryobi purchase now has me back in the game blowing leaves with ease. Thank you RYOBI
I have redone an old house... although I am not a professional, I am a perfectionist.
Quite honestly I could have not gotten the job done without my Ryobi drill, circular saw and one other thing, which I cannot remember.
I have gone through several sets of drill bits... but the drill itself is still aces. I also attach a buffing pad for applying and buffing up paste wax.
I would like to invest in one their flashlights.
I just wish Lowes carried this line.
Five power stars for Ryobi!
