“Battery Lawn mower”

Wayne P.
5/24/24

Except for having to charge the Battery 7 times not a bad lawn mower. I was just lucky that I own several 18V Ryobi tools and I finished my lawn in one day. Else it would have taken me 3 days to mow my lawn. Thanks for such a good tool. I was a bit skeptical about a battery lawn mower but not bad at all Wayne Perschbacher

“Dishonest Corrupt Company that Commits Fraud”

Christina K.
9/24/24

I own about 7 Ryobi lawn tools. I took my mower to a repair shop (recommended by Ryobi) and it came back missing a tiny part--a small gray plastic piece that fits into the mower handle. I asked the shop if they found it and they said no. They also said they could not order it for me. I contacted Ryobi, they sent me a booklet and made me find and tell them the part #. I was promised 3 months ago that it was being sent and asked to rate the service. I gave them 5 stars. Well, turns out they lied and the part was never going to be sent. They told me today that they don't have that part and to go to the repair shop...folks we have too many negligent companies like this who commit fraud. I say enough is enough and I am never purchasing another Ryobi tool again nor am I ever shopping at Home Depot again.

This review is not based on a Ryobi tool. It is regarding the lack of service centers since Home Depot closed their service centers.

I have used Ryobi for years, have many tools and have been very pleased with them. Really, the only problem I ever had was with a refurbished leaf blower. I took that to Home Depot and in a couple of weeks a new one was shipped to me. I have no complaints regarding the tools. My complaint, as with several others, is regarding the servicing of a warranted tool. Since Home Depot closed their service centers, I will have to drive 90 miles to have a tool repaired/replaced. A friend of mine just drove 60 miles two weeks ago and as of yesterday they have not looked at the tool yet. I was told by an agent on the phone that we have to take the tool in, but the service center will ship it back at no charge. The agent also told me that they were working daily trying to get more service centers. As I told the agent, that until they get service centers that are within a reasonable distance (as was Home Depot) they should pay the cost of shipping the warranted tool to the service center

When the time comes that one of my warranted tools needs repaired/replaced, if I have to drive 90 miles to a service center I will definitely consider another brand.

Assembly out of the box was easy, no tools required. The weight is only 6LBS and NO cord to worry about. The blowing power is just OK but it meets all my blower needs for leaves & debris.

I just love my Ryobi tools here at Lake Obabika Lodge, as the always provided me with ease of doing our daily work, way to go Ryobi, keep up the good Quality tools being on the market today.
During the Summer Period, we use these tools daily, and trust me when I say they are most dependable, my Lodge workers use then on daily basis.

Tip for consumers:
Nothing as all is well from my point of views.

Products used:
I have too many to mention, 4 drill, 3 grinders, 2 chain saws, fans, radio, saws & more
I would want to have the full Tool list made by Ryobi Tools, one of each tools right into my work shop, let me know if Ryobi could provide me with the total tool list as I would want to purchase them all as a package deal if at all possible.

Home Depot experience I went to the store today to buy some Ryobi tools I was greeted in the tool department by the person working there and was asked right away if they could help I said yes and the person was very knowledgeable about what I needed and proceeded to help me find what I was looking for everything was accessible a big thumbs up for Home Depot. I love Ryobi tools because the batteries work and everything they make interchangeable the tools are great they have a wide selection of battery operated tools which makes life very easy.

I watch professional home builders, remodelers vidios on tv and the internet. I see then using RYOBI power tools alot. I just bought a RYOBI 4,000 watt inverter generator as we had a power outtage in Commerce Mi. Which is happening more frequently in the past year. I assembled this generator, filled the crankcase with the oil supplied with the generatorand filled the fuel tank. It started on the second pull. I conected my power wires from the generator to my furnace, hot water heater, and other necessary items. Worked fine. Really impressed with the small amoint of fuel it consumed for running over 48 hours straight. Good buy.

MY name is Artie I am 69 years old and have been using roybi 18v for the last 7 years I have a little more than 30 roybi 18v tools. Just purchased two new tools, one is a heat gun we use it to bend pvc pipe for christmas archs for our driveway. Tool works great heats up fast and cools down as fast. I have old blue jig saw still works fine but I wanted a newer model. In my tool collection I have compound miter saw 18v. Great for molding and miter cuts. The battery that I have number 1-31 1.5ah to 6ah they last a long time for working. All my roybi tools work very well no problems with them. Thanks for making these great tools.

I have been fighting with a ryobi weed eater trying to spool on cutting line and what a joke on the customer!
If these bastards would try doing it themselves before releasing their JUNK onto the market! The spool and the housing need a gorilla to press them together and spin it at the same time to lock it in. CLOWNS!
EVERYONE READ THIS: DO NOT BUY THE 40V BRUSHLESS WEED EATER. IT IS THE BIGGEST POS IN MY GARDENING ARSENAL I payed way to much for something that is garbage!

Tip for consumers:
THIS IS A PIECE OF JUNK> Why would you put your customer through such anguish trying to use your JUNK? The 40V Brushless weed eater is JUNK ! It take a gorilla to press the spool into the housing and turn it at the same time to lock the spool in ! JOKERS ! Whoever designed this should be take out to town square and hung from a post and let all your pissed off customer beat them like a pinyota
My last comment GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK AND I WILL GLADLY RETURN YOUR POS IN THE SAME CONDITION AS I GO

I PURCHASED A BATTARY PACK WEED EATER. OMG- THIS THING IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. I HAVE 3.0 ACRES THAT INCLUDES 1 ACRE OF GRASS AROUND THE HOUSE, AND 2 ACRES HORSE FIELDS WITH WOODS. THE RESULTS WERE UNBELIEVEABLE ON ALL TYPES OF GRASS, WEEDS, BRUSH ETC. IT WORKED LIKE AND EVEN BETTER THAN MY GAS POWER, AND MY ELECTRIC. NO CORDS, NO GAS AND IT IS MUCH LIGHTER. I AM 80 YEARS OLD AND I CAN HANDLE IT WITH MY RYOBI CORDLESS. REALLY CAN SAID ENOUGH ABOUT IT EXCEPT TRY ONE AND YOU WILL NEVER GO BACK.

Purchased the electric rider 10 months ago, charger stopped working after 10 months. For 2 days, I spent hours and hours on the phone. They keep transferring me from person to person to wrong departments (one person told me 'hold on I'll check' and transferred me to garage tools or something, which has nothing to do with riding mowers, and I cannot get replacement. Home Depot service told me to wait 8 weeks or so for replacement (crazy for spring), and I chatted on Ryobi website and some Alisa person told me to take to service, I told her I already did and service said I need new charger because it's dead and need a new one, but she ignored my message and provided me link of local services and said 'have a nice day' and left. I could just punch such horrible customer support. With this support, they will lose all their customers. I'm returning the whole rider and buying another brand where I can get support when something breaks. Never again Ryobi brand. Horrible horrible customer support. Impossible to get support for a product that's suppose to last lifetime, only lasted 10 months. BEWARE RYOBI
