“Battery Lawn mower”

Wayne P.
5/24/24

Except for having to charge the Battery 7 times not a bad lawn mower. I was just lucky that I own several 18V Ryobi tools and I finished my lawn in one day. Else it would have taken me 3 days to mow my lawn. Thanks for such a good tool. I was a bit skeptical about a battery lawn mower but not bad at all Wayne Perschbacher

“Dishonest Corrupt Company that Commits Fraud”

Christina K.
9/24/24

I own about 7 Ryobi lawn tools. I took my mower to a repair shop (recommended by Ryobi) and it came back missing a tiny part--a small gray plastic piece that fits into the mower handle. I asked the shop if they found it and they said no. They also said they could not order it for me. I contacted Ryobi, they sent me a booklet and made me find and tell them the part #. I was promised 3 months ago that it was being sent and asked to rate the service. I gave them 5 stars. Well, turns out they lied and the part was never going to be sent. They told me today that they don't have that part and to go to the repair shop...folks we have too many negligent companies like this who commit fraud. I say enough is enough and I am never purchasing another Ryobi tool again nor am I ever shopping at Home Depot again.

I tried my mini usb high pressure inflator for the first time to air up the tires on my bike. It worked perfectly. It also has straps to attach it to my bike. It's a lot easier and faster than my hand pump. I found the perfect portable air supply. THANKS RYOBI!

Purchased several hundred dollars in ryobi tools,

1. Circular saw motor started smoking the first day cutting thin wood paneling
2. Impact driver fell apart, the locking mechanism fell off.
3. Took both tools to Home Depot for warranty and was charged a fee of over $30 for each tool or you couldn't drop it off.
4. A few weeks later after calling Home Depot for an update, the tools are still just sitting around. The person that does the repairs only works 2 days a week for a few hours.
5. Contacted Ryobi Chat, was told they have up to 90 days? They must assume people don't need to use the tools.
6. Now I need to purchase new tools, I will never buy anything Ryobi makes again, I'll use them till they stop working and replace then with a different brand that has a better warranty program, maybe Rigid.

Verified purchase

The Ryobi brand tire inflator was a great purchase and came in handy for cars, boat trailors and campers this summer. Also has bike tire and inflatable adaptor. We take it on roadtrips because gas stations charge for air nowadays. The digital read out on PSI is accurate. Tested it multiple times. My buddy ended up buying one after a recent camping trip.

Bought a 40v 20" self propelled mower one year ago. $399 at Durango Home Depot. Nothing but problems from the start. Mower intermittently failing to start and now not starting at all. The internet abounds with similar stories of such poorly made mowers. Ryobi suggests taking it to the nearest service center in Rifle, CO (145 miles away). Just a short 145 mile trip to have it examined. Ridiculous. Home Depot shouldn't sell RYOBI crap if there are no better options for a customer than to drive or mail a large mower 145 miles away. It's absurd in this day and age that this is now the level of support one can expect from both Home Depot and RYOBI.

Purchased 18 volt string trimmer/edger May 2,2020. Instructions easy to follow and battery charged right up. First use was great! So much easier than gas weedeater I had. Powerful enough even on low speed to do edging and weed eating sound front and back of our 1/3 acre of grass and beds at our home. Price was very good and tool seems to be sturdy yet lightweight and worked very well. Would recommend to family, neighbors and friends.

Purchased Electric Pressure Washer after owning several ICE pressure washers over the last 35 years. Tired of heavy, hard starting, keeping gas and oil in my garage, changing sparkplugs and replacing gummed up carburetors, had to at least try an electric pressure washer. Wow, one touch of the button, and my Ryobi Washer was working flawlessly out of the box. Have since added the rotary surface cleaner attachment and very pleased with how it works on concrete drive and patio. Worth every penny.

I purchased the RYOBI blower and edger at a reasonable price and they are both just awesome.
Don't take long to charge and they both have been a blessing to us. My yard and my neighbors yards look great with perfectly edged driveways and no grass clipping left anywhere. If you don't have these Ryobi tools, you need to get them right away..

Using my new Ryobi P737D I pumped the tires on my old pick-up stored for the past year. The tires were about 20 lb pressure and were all pump to (33 lbs in about 5 minutes. I spend a day each Spring inflating the tires on 2 boat trailers, 2 utility trailers, 1 travel trailer, 2 sport cars, a wheel barrel and 6 bikes. I'm 82 years old and after hauling the trailers to my air compressor I'm tired and ready for bed. With my new Ryobi P737D tool I should be able to pump all these tires in about an hour and be ready to go dancing at nite. Thank you Ryobi for this incredible tool. *******@aol.com

Purchased a Ryobi chain saw on April 10,2021 in Knoxville at Home Depot. Had a glowing review of model *******, 40v by another customer in the store. Used it on 4/11/21 on three downed trees. Worked great, plenty of power to do the job and we did not have to mess with fuel and mixing on gas powered chainsaws of which I have three. Good product. Looked for but could not locate mfr number or serial number to set up warranty.
Advice?

Just added 2 more tools to my ryobi collection of 18 volt. Love them, like all my ryobi tools. Performs very well as usual. Need to buy a charger for six now. Hope they will make a 40 or 80 volt rear tine tiller, would buy today, no questions ask> ryobi is the best tool on the market by far. Best home owner tools, easy to use. Bought a 40v side discharge lawnmower and a 40v weed eater and they both are fantastic. The mulch on the mower is great, and will help with my yard. Great purchase and would recommend them to everyone.

Although it is quite expensive I am happy with this 4 cycle gas trimmer because it works well and uses little gas. I highly recommend this because you can order other parts to connect to it to do many different garden jobs.

I've tried weekwacker brand, sears, and others and nothing compares to Ryobi. I've had the model 137r for I don't know how many years but it's never failed. I bought a new one because the bearing are starting to be very noisy. The great thing also is the different attachments you can buy. Keep up your great products.

Don't ever buy battery lawn equipment.
My Robyi 24 volt battery finally died and they no longer make the battery. So now I have to go out and buy a new edger, bush trimmer, and weed eater which all worked off the 24 volt. That will cost me at least $300 I don't have to replace.
Customer service basically said sorry but too bad. REALLY. Being that I gave them the opportunity over email and phone to make it right they did not. So now I will spend hours posting this on all social media sites. Wont be buying there products ever again.

I love the one battery fits all. I have 5 batteries, circular saw, reciprocal saw, 2 drills, hand held vacuum, leaf blower, hedge trimer, multi tool with attachments, 5 chargers. Everyone of these tools work great. The power Washer is the poorest one of them all it have no power at all, my garden hose has more power.

Once again when I needed a new trimmer/edger I did not look anywhere else but to Ryobi. The other Ryobi tools that I have are so good I did not look at any brands. Being able to use the same battery saves me money and time in recharging. Will stay with Ryobi tools until I ever become upset.

Tools are great. I am a very loyal to the brand. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Call corporate on a issue with a power washer and the employee treated me like she was doing me a favor just answering the phone. You have lost a loyal customer.

I bought this because it was supposed to be less noisy and economic, but the handle underneath, makes it so noisy that you have to place it on a rug, or take out the handle. If it wasn't for that is will be perfect. Some of my friends have the same problem with theirs, so it means the problem is the handle.

Tip for consumers:

Bought a Brushless 21" battery operated lawn mower. Broke within the first year. Has been in the shop to get fixed under the "warranty" for 60 days with no resolution in sight. Customer service hold times are 1hr+ with multiple "disconnections" and no call back.

Tip for consumers:
Buy a better brand.

I recently purchased the Ryobi Gas Jet Fan Blower at Home Depot, and found this product to be exceptional regarding it's ease of use. The blower is very easy to start, and albeit new, runs consistently well and appears to measure up quite well to what it is advertised to do. I'd recommend this product.

I purchased a Ryobi backpack leaf blower 10 months ago. The throttle cable broke 2 weeks ago. I was told by Ryobi customer service that they could not send me a replacement cable. This would need to be installed by a Home Depot service department. I have since been told that there are NO replacement parts available and that Home Depot needs to send the blower to Ryobi. They will then re-inspect the leaf blower and then send a new leaf blower to Home Depot. I will be called when it arrives, in MAYBE 4 weeks. The simple solution would be for Home Depot to replace it from their inventory or for Ryobi to reimburse me. I am not confident that this will be satisfactorily resolved anytime soon.

Ryobi gasoline backpack leaf blower.
