Except for having to charge the Battery 7 times not a bad lawn mower. I was just lucky that I own several 18V Ryobi tools and I finished my lawn in one day. Else it would have taken me 3 days to mow my lawn. Thanks for such a good tool. I was a bit skeptical about a battery lawn mower but not bad at all Wayne Perschbacher
I own about 7 Ryobi lawn tools. I took my mower to a repair shop (recommended by Ryobi) and it came back missing a tiny part--a small gray plastic piece that fits into the mower handle. I asked the shop if they found it and they said no. They also said they could not order it for me. I contacted Ryobi, they sent me a booklet and made me find and tell them the part #. I was promised 3 months ago that it was being sent and asked to rate the service. I gave them 5 stars. Well, turns out they lied and the part was never going to be sent. They told me today that they don't have that part and to go to the repair shop...folks we have too many negligent companies like this who commit fraud. I say enough is enough and I am never purchasing another Ryobi tool again nor am I ever shopping at Home Depot again.
Several months ago I bought a Ryobi weed eater and was impressed with the ease to start it also impressed with the power of the weed eater. Started out great until I attempted to weed eat my yard. From the beginning I have trouble with the stringer head. It was hard to take off and hard to put back on. As of today only after using the weed eater for a few months the stringer head is off and will not go back on. I have noticed over the months I have owned the Ryobi weed eater I spent more time messing with the stringer head than weed eating. Ryobi got the motor right but the stringer head is a pain. My options are but another stringer head or a different brand. I have used Craftsman most of my life and never had this problem. Sum up, motor great everything else subpar.
I've been in construction for 25 years, from Laborer to commercial Superintendent. Worn out a lot of tools. Ryobi tools are OK but homeowner grade. Your local pro will use other brands. Retired now, I'v tried Ryobi for projects around the house. My miter box and battery circular saw have both developed noisy bearings at a young age. My year old string trimmer recently just stopped working. The drills are fine, the battery sawzalls are fun. Just not pro grade.
Tip for consumers:
If you need a pro grade, find out what a local pro uses every day.

Have lots of tools. 25 years of remodeling you pick up lots. For starters, 4 sawmills, 3 worm drives. And most of the others.
I have used a ryobi one drill for a few years and. Had been pleased. I needed a weedwacker and purchased the 40-volt ryobi it has been a 250 dollar disaster first the battery went bad verified by ryobi rep told that under warranty but they were backorder a n d to go to home depot a ND purchase new battery and would be reimbursed the battery was purchased on 6/14 today is 9/18 still no check the wacker stopped functioning would run fine for about5 minutes and then would slow to crawl I will not waste my time and just take an approximate 400 dollar loss even though under warranty. Would not recommend either tool or company

I just purchased the Ryobi plus1 for my use. I am an older female that just had hand surgery, and I used this small trimmer on my back yard and fell in love with it. Not only did it do a great job on my yard, it did not bother my hand either. I recommend this tool for anyone that needs one.

I'm a Ryobi self appointed ambassador, this is my 20th tool hand, garden & tabletop. I swear buy them & promote them all the time. My neighbors, family & friend's have all come on-board after using mine. I find them to be highly reliable & durable. I use them for home & work. I'll be a customer for life, my son is already eyeballing them for himself& my wife steals them all the time for her use,now if I can show her how to recharge the batteries I'll be fine!
Tip for consumers:
Wipe it down when you finish a job & store it properly & it will last you.

This is a decent quality, easy to use pole hedge trimmer by RYOBI. It uses a 40v lithium battery that can trim and cut branches up tp 5/8" and can be angled in 4 positions. It can *******@8ft and comes with a strap for balanced weight distribution. Since I'm a short dude at only 5'8" I was concerned it would be too top heavy but to my surprise I was able to maneuver the pole with ease and did not loose any control. It has 3 pieces-2 poles and the trimmer and you can use only one section of the pole if needed vs both for shorter reach jobs. The poles have arrows on the bottom for easy locating to attach and then you screw over the grey collar for final security
I ordered a lawn mower, but sent it back as my daughter bought me a better one without my knowledge. I was going for electric cord one, but she got me a battery one with a trimmer and blower. I did have a battery one before but could not pick-up the battery to recharge it as it was so heavy. I was very surprised with the batteries for my new lawn mower, they weigh next to nothing, so I am able to do every thing myself. Being 73 years old it is nice to have something like this Ryobi, being able to do this myself is great. I have tried the trimmer and with the battery in it is not heavy either, blower is the same. So thankyou very much for this product, I recommend this to anyone. Because i am an older lady, I have people tell me to get someone else to do it. But because of your product and thanks to my daughter I am still independent. Thankyou again. Sheila Pikkert. I am sorry I cannot send you proof of purchase as my daughter got it for me and she lives north of Toronto.

Bought a RYC490 log splitter on 11/16/2020. Used it 3 times and motor kept stalling and then quit working. Took to their service company - they ordered a replacement. Delivery man delivered another one on 3/25/2021 and dropped it off the truck. Wouldn't quit leaking oil. Took it back to service company and they ordered another replacement. Received that one on 10/18/2021 - but was too late in the season to use it. All wood was already split by hand. Kept it in the garage, tags still attached, never used and tried to use it this weekend 10/2022 and motor sounds like it is "locked up". After 6 trips back and forth to service center - we still don't have a log splitter and now is the season to get that done. Customer service department at Ryobi is a joke! Only thing they will offer is to have US take it to their service center, for another trip! Won't give our money back and won't give us a better model. Will NEVER buy one of their products again!
I've always had electric weed wackers and a gas powered tiller which was very heavy to use. I just purchased a RYOBI gas powered weed wacker that has the capabilities of attaching different tools. I also purchased the cultivator/tiller attachment. Both were very simple to put together and change out the attachments. Now I can do the things with ease and not having to do it manually. Best gift I bought for myself. Certainly going to get more of the attachments. I LOVE MY RYOBI!
My RYOBI Weed eater, 40 V starts very easy and convenient. The Battery only lasts about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. I think it might be old. Also it's power is only about 50 percent compared to my 4 cycle gas Ryobi Weed Eater. From the reviews I read before buying the 40v Weed eater rated it as powerful as the 4 cycle gas Ryobi weed eater and claimed it would last all day. Neither one of those reviews were correct.
You guys nailed it when you designed the Hedge Timmer. It makes yard work easier and fun. Iam a retired Military member who hated trimming the hedges by hand, but now, Wow! Simpley amazing to use. Thank you Ryobi.

I rarely leave reviews, however the 40 volt weed eater is so HORRIABLE, I had to warn others. The design for the string has it backwards. This causes the string to break. I have a standard home with a normal front and back yard. I have had this issue from day one. Home Depot said talk to manufacturer. I found a Ryobi rep at the store and showed them a movie of the string breaking after 16 inches of use. It takes me 3 hours to weed eat 2 yards because 2 hours I am f*&% with the string. The string breaks at the head so you need to remove the head, take it apart, remove the string, put it back together, then
Re-string it again. Don't waste your money.
I have a 12 inch 40v chainsaw and while out back I lost a couple of parts. I figured it would be no problem but while trying to order the parts I found out they were no longer available. I contacted RYOBI and they worked with me above and beyond what I would have expected. All I can say is their customer service is amazing. I'm a customer for life.
My ryobi string trimmer and leal blower is a 2 cycle that has lasted me over 10 yrs. I just bought a new trimmer today that is a 4 cycle which eleminates mixing oil and gas. Good job Ryobi, out with the old and in with the much better new.
Tip for consumers:

Purchased a 13inch lawnmower and 10inch string trimmer/edger battery powered combo and recently put them to the test in a yard with overgrown grass due to recent rains. I was pleasantly surprised with their performance. Two thumbs up!

Weed eater broke 3rd time using it. Called ryobi and was told to take it to repair center that they said take it to. 30 miles there and they don't repair it, they ship it to Atlanta for repairs and charged me $30. Almost 9 weeks later and still can't get any status on it. JUNK all the way around.
I'm 81 years old and those gas trimmers are too hard for me to start. Went to home Depot and purchased a Ryobi 13" 18V cordless trimmer. Easy to put together and start. The instructions were easy to follow I Charged the battery and tried it WOW So easy to handle, Light weight and really does the job.
I wasted 2 hours out of my day waiting to speak with a knowledgeable person about my garage door opener. There is no specific person that you can speak with because the options don't allow for garage door customer service. After waiting for 1 hour, I reluctantly opted for a call back. 4 hours later, I recieved a call back from a woman that obviously did not want to be asked any questions when I said that I needed to speak to someone in regards to my garage door opener. She very abruptly put me back in the que again and it has been another hour on hold listening to the BS recording about how important you are as a customer. Ryobi's customer service has severely diminished.
TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
I am a novice power tool user. Bought a Ryobi Table saw from Home Depot in Athens GA three years ago. Realized I had lost the Two Wrenches need to change the Blade on the saw. Called Ryobi Customer Service to order them. They sent me "Both Wrenches" FREE. I have an Impact Drill, Tire Air Compressor, and a Angle Grinder. All Ryobi. Guys all are Great tools for the DYI handyman. Thanks Ryobi Customer Service

I have used Ryobi tools as an electrical contractor and have received good reliable service, light weight, easy to pack, and power full, to do the any job, quick and professional, I have found Ryobi engineering excellent. I just bought their six tools sale at Home Depot. Vandertoolen electric comp. 2313 Makenna court Holladay Utah *******
I just bought a Ryobio Weed Eater. Very pleased with.my wife can even use it. I would recommend to anyone that is looking for a new weed eater, Best money I have ever spent. Thank you RYOBIO for making this weed eater
Ryobi one leaf blower failed after just a few weeks. Could not return to Home Depot, instead had to use the warranty process which is mind-blowingly awful. Even required a deposit to leave for warranty "evaluation", it's just not OK that stores like Home Depot carry super low quality stuff and represent it as comparable to brands like DeWalt, etc.
Bought a new 18V Drill/Driver from Home Depot less than 6 months ago. After 4 months, the two speed switch failed and would not switch between speeds. Sent it to the authorized warranty shop over six weeks ago. The shop quickly diagnosed the problem and advised that they ordered a replacement switch. After 4 weeks of waiting, I called the shop and they were still waiting for the part. I called back today and they are still waiting. I called Ryobi Customer Service today and the rep told me, with attitude, that it was completely normal to wait up to 8 weeks for parts to be sent to repair shops. I asked the rep to authorize a replacement given the delay, and she advised that because the part was not on backorder, they would not replace the drill. To me, it is completely unacceptable for a 6 month old drill to fail, and then to have Ryobi say that it is okay to have the customer wait up to two months to have it repaired. Terrible customer service.
I left a revie on this lawnmower on the 10th after my first use.
Boy was I wrong.
I cut the grass yesterday with a better understanding of how this new experience with battery operated lawnmowers.
It was a nice dry day and batteries were completely full charged and my cutting experience was as different as day and night.
The lawnmower cut perfect and I had no problems at all.
I love this mower and can not wait to try more Ryobi tools.
I purchased the18 v chainsaw and it cut that wood as good or better than my corded saw.
From now on Ryobi is my go to when in need of tools.
Next on my list will be the pole saw and i can't wait
