Except for having to charge the Battery 7 times not a bad lawn mower. I was just lucky that I own several 18V Ryobi tools and I finished my lawn in one day. Else it would have taken me 3 days to mow my lawn. Thanks for such a good tool. I was a bit skeptical about a battery lawn mower but not bad at all Wayne Perschbacher
I own about 7 Ryobi lawn tools. I took my mower to a repair shop (recommended by Ryobi) and it came back missing a tiny part--a small gray plastic piece that fits into the mower handle. I asked the shop if they found it and they said no. They also said they could not order it for me. I contacted Ryobi, they sent me a booklet and made me find and tell them the part #. I was promised 3 months ago that it was being sent and asked to rate the service. I gave them 5 stars. Well, turns out they lied and the part was never going to be sent. They told me today that they don't have that part and to go to the repair shop...folks we have too many negligent companies like this who commit fraud. I say enough is enough and I am never purchasing another Ryobi tool again nor am I ever shopping at Home Depot again.
I have now bought 2 Ryobi power washers. They are great when they work, but they don't last long. The motor on both of them has stopped working. It's very frustrating. On both, the light on both the plug and the unit went on, but the motor didn't work. I thought it was just a fluke on the first one so I bought another not even a year ago. Today, I prepped the area I was going to power wash, and went to start the motor, and nothing happened. I've been reading reviews and they all say I need to buy a new unit. I will not but another Ryobi.
It was easy to assemble and prepare the mower for use. Tried the mower at various hights and speeds and picked the one that made the lawn look great. I especially like the ability to push the mower on a small part of our lawn and use the self-propel part on the larger section. The charger is easy to use because the battery is so convenient to install and remove. Handles are at great height for comfortable walking while mowing. Variable speed is great. Easy for wipe down and clean up after use.
I can't say enough about Ryobi 18v tools. I use my leaf blower and weed wacker all the time and when you pair them with 6ah batteries you have power to get the job done. The tools are light weight and work great. I'm glad I invested in these tools.
Tip for consumers:
Ryobi has great deals going on now.People should take advantage of these sales.

I bought one of these and used it for less than a year and the knife/blade that cuts the string as you use it broke off. It screws into a plastic piece on the guard piece. That plastic piece broke off completely. I epoxied it back on but that did not hold. So I got another one. That one broke off the first time I used it. It would be better if it was screwed into metal instead. Not sure how that can be accomplished. The plastic is not strong enough. I'm sending the 2nd one back to Amazon. Ryobi needs to go back to the drawing board.
I have used the tools for years and love them when they work: however, when you need help with service for repair or replacement on products UNDER WARRANTY - you are OUT OF LUCK.
As a female, I like the lightweight tools and they provide a powerful impact on my work. Yet, if they break - you might as well save yourself some frustration and junk the tool. No one from customer service is going to help you. Ryobi needs to rebrand their customer service department as customer agony.
When my chainsaw stopped working, I made the mistake of contacting Ryobi. One office sitter wrote an epistle of how she could not help with a product that stopped working. A product under warranty.
Tip for consumers:
Ryobi customers - these are great tools when they work, but don't expect their customer service department to help you.

By RYOBI's policy, if you have a tool no longer functional under warranty you should bring it to an authorized dealer (Home Depot). Once there, they require a $32.46 deposit in order to have it looked at. I brought in a broken Ryobi reciprocator which was under warranty and paid the required fee. This was on 10/19/2022, today is 11/30/2022. I contacted the Home Depot I left it with about status and they said they didn't have a clue where it was, if it was received at their service center or what I could expect. After trying to contact the Ryobi customer service center multiple times with promised unreturned calls, I finally reached someone. My take on this, Ryobi takes no responsibiity for their products and is utterly incompetent in their customer service policies. Pay a little more for a better product and better company. I would not recommend Ryobi again after this experience.
I would like to share my experience with Ryobi lawn and garden tools. I have a 40 volt weed trimmer with the expandit capability, i have had excellent results with the weed trimmer, so i purchased the edging attachment, again had great results, so i bought the cultivator for our garden, amazing what such a small attachment is capable of. After using these items I purchased a small chainsaw again i was impressed, so I bought a pressure washer, I also have a blower, all of these except the washer are cordless, it is so nice to NOT have to worry about starting, gas, fumes from gas and oil etc. I just purchased grass shears and hedge trimmer and they both work fantastic, I will always consider Ryobi tools in future purchases.

Ryobi weed eater. Kept dieing after 20sec of use. Returned, saw 4 more returns behind the counter of same weed eater! Was my first Ryobi tool and now was my last! Worth spending a little more to get something that works that you don't have to be inconvenienced to have to return and burn the gas to get there!
I Love this mower! I bought this mower for my Daughters birthday present. Years ago I purchased a small Ryobi trimmer for her and recently upgraded to another Ryobi trimmer (more powerful). Satisfied with both purchases I decided to buy the Ryobi 40vs self prop for her birthday this year. However, before giving it to her I decided to try it out on my yards. PERFECT! This mower is light, not too loud and does a beautiful job. I cut both front and back and still had power. I might add that I am 79 years old and using this unit was no effort. Pleased and impressed I'm going to buy another Ryobi 40vs for myself. I shopped at the Home Depot on Windsor Hill in San Antonio, Tx *******, 5/07/22. Your sales rep was wonderful ( can't remember her name -- young girl full of knowledge and happy to help. Receipt number **************. Thank you. Carolyn Haag *******@yahoo.
I love the RYOBI power tools. The cordless drill is the best ever. I like the speed chuck because it is quick and easy. The battery lasts longer than any other battery and recharges quickly. Also the battery powered leaf blower is the best ever. Powerful and light weight and easy to use. I use it every Sunday in Church, to clean the carpet down the center isle. Then I clean the outside sidewalks and front porch. All in about 2 minutes. I also enjoy the hedge trimmer and cut off saw. And they ALL take the same battery. Ryobi is the BEST.
Recently I moved in a new house and in order to install my curtains and others items, I bought a chargeable Screw-driver + Drill and I could not imagine how did it make my work so easier. I never worked with this kind of tools before and now I realized that I should buy it earlier to make my work easier rather that manually working with a screwdriver.
My wife is a very small individua but she loves to work outdoors. We had other weed wipers but they were to heavy for her. She's able to move along at her own pace She helps me out because I'm to weak at times due to my illiness's Thank you Ryobi for your help! Mike Gruszka
Lost my Milwaukee Sawzall, so being so satisfied with my ryobi weed eater I decided to try to save soms $ and try the ryobi 18 volt reciprocating saw. Wow! Cuts better the my Milwaukee! I'll try ryobi again.

I purchased this Ryobi 18v sprayer from Home Depot. The first one lasted a less than a month, Home Depot replaced it. I got it in the fall so I didn't use it for a few months. I go to use it and it will hardly spray, called Ryobi they told me I have too take it to a repair center. I took it in on June 16 they said the motor was bad and they advised Ryobi to send me another one. I got it back on July 14th or so, in the mean time I had to buy a pump sprayer to spray for spiders. I tried to use the Ryobi sprayer and this new one would not spray very well, called Ryobi and they said I would have to take it to the repair center. I asked her "Why would I want to try a 4th one?" She said if needed I would have to take a 100 to the repair center. I wasted a $100.

The RYOB electric drain snake saved my marriage. After two days of a clogged kitchen drain and doing dishes in the bathroom sink, and it being Memorial Day weekend, I google electric snakes and it shows one available at our local Home Depot. At $129.00 it was much cheaper than calling a plumber. So, we headed out, bought one. Had a lovely dinner at local restrurant, headed home and within 30 minutes we were FREE AGAIN! That is of a clogged kitchen drain. THANK YOU RYOB tools. We now own several electric tools of your company. Thinking I should buy stock.
I've been using RYOBI power tools for my personal home use more than 30 years. They are affordable, dependable and sturdy. In fact, I have an old RYOBI 1/2" cordless battery operated drill that's every bit as good as a new one. The only thing I've had to replace is the battery! I also have a RYOBI 18V Hedge Trimmer. And, I recently purchased a RYOBI 18V leaf blower and a cordless weed trimmer at my neighborhood HOME DEPOT in Sun City Center, Florida on Oct. 8,2022. I got 'em both along with an 18V battery and battery charger for an amazingly low price ($130.00). I don't have a single complaint about RYOBI. For my residential needs, they have the very best tools and accessories on the market today.
I Purchased a grass trimmer and have had great performance I have a Large 3 acre lot and used this trimer for the last 2 years. So when I needed a leaf blower there was no question on which product i was going to Purchase. Keep up the great work I highly recommend Ryobi to all my Family and Friends
I purchased the Ryobi Electric Power Washer 1600 and it works beautifully! I'm using it to power wash my 17' x 25' concrete slab, 22' x 25' wood deck and concrete 2-car carport. It powers through dirt, mud, and earthly grime with ease. I'm videoing the process of cleaning my 17' x 25' slab and making the cosmetic repairs in order to best utilize the patio for the remainder of the summer. Thanks for the Roybi Electric Power Washer, the great little power washer.
I recently purchased a RYOBI chemical sprayer to add to my many RYOBI tools, it works very well, I just turn it on and point the spray nozzle and pull the trigger.
I have set up a special wall in my garage to hang all of my Ryobi tools and a charging station for all of my batteries, So Easy! No gasoline or oil to spill, no wrenching my shoulder pulling a rope. Just slip the battery into the required tool and go to work. Thanks RYOBI! I would like for you to create a small battery operated heater, battery operated, safe to carry anywhere, like a camper, hunting blind, boat, tent, etc.
Well to start off with I'm a fan of Ryobi this battery powered chemical sprayer is great I use it multiple times each month it is a very good product seems to be very reliable if you're in the market for a battery-powered chemical sprayer check out Ryobi One plus sprayer comes with the sprayer One battery and a charger and for the price of 79.99 it's a great Buy.
The 40V mower and 40V blower work better than I expected. Both are light and powerful! I also have the one+ air inflator, circular saw, and drill. The corded pole chain saw works great too! Got everything at Home Depot.
Bought a 6 tool package for my wife, I have had to replace 2 batteries, circular saw, and multi tool, sent then both in after breaking with less than a hour of work time total, approx used 5 times for 10 minutes each time, after a month, I recieved fixed tools supposely and they stopped working in same amount of time. I have been in construction my whole life, use mostly dewalt, and have had good luck. But for my 67 year old wife, I thought this would suffice, WRONG, also Home Depot doesnt stand behind ryobi, either. Talked to service deck no help at all. Zero customer service. In my 65 years, I haven't wrote but one other bad review, so that will tell you how bad these tools and company is. I will be checking this website to see if they keep this review posted.

Just purchased a Ryobi ry253ss straight shaft 2 stroke gas string trimmer with the extend it feature. This works for me as I already have many of these tools. After 10 years of service my old trimmer just gave out, so I bought this one. It has been reengineered an appears much more durable than the old model. The assembly was very quick and easy, it only required a simple screwdriver to complete. Prepared the fuel mixture and it started eastly on the third pull, pretty good for an out of the box first start. The straight shaft is stronger and the string head much easier to load and service. A quick tryout proved the machine to have excellent power and good balance. Half throttle ate right through 10" high overgrown grass. I expect to get at least another ten years out of this one. I recommend this product for anyone that enjoys working with commercial grade yard tools at a reasonable price.
