I returned a purchase to Saks and received an email that it was received by August 6. When I called after two weeks I was told that I would not receive my money for 30 days. A new policy that wasn't on their website. Unbelievable and unconscionable!
They sent me the wrong item and I have been dealing with this issue back and forward for 4 months already and I do not get a final refund. I spent thousand of dollar in this store and now even when they delivered the item in question for the last time ( they were not supposed to sent it back again) on the wrong place they do not want to give the refund. After spending about $500, I was supposed to be receive a gift card but it never came. After speaking with their customer service, I was promised a gift card to be either electronically mailed or physically mailed to me. It's been 5 months and after repeatedly calling, I still have no gift card.

The worst customer service I have ever received. Incompetent outsourced customer support agents haven't solved a simplest problem. When shopping at Saks I expect a luxury experience, but instead I get an app that crashes when I search for an item and outsourced customer support. I get better service at the cheapest retail store.

Make sure you return each item separately, otherwise you might only get a partial return and will have to deal with customer support that is outsourced and disconnects when they can’t answer your question.

I bought a sweater, lipstick power bank and a lip balm. Power bank lid was of poor quality and would not stay on secured. App kept freezing and crashing. It was painful to search for an item even after reinstalling the app and using it on a different phone.
I have been trying for over 24 hours to speak to the security department to get the fax number for the police to use to contact them in order to release the relevant information for them to investigate a fraud on my behalf.
All three times I have waited over ten minutes to then be told someone will call me back and no one has. All I want is to speak to the security department to obtain their fax number. But no one it seems is able to help me.
My police team in the Uk is unwilling to contact them and regard this as my responsibility but I have a full time job as well. It's ridiculous how poor they are at dealing with a simple request for a fax number regarding something as important as a fraud and involving the police.
I ordered moderately expensive ($2K) earrings on 6/1/20 from a Saks associate. I specifically requested a gift box with a note. I received the earrings on 6/4/20 via mail order (even though I had expected these to be sent to the local Saks store) WITHOUT gift wrapping or a note. I immediately contacted the sales who was very apologetic, but did nothing to fix the error. So, 24 days later, I had to go out and buy a gift box to deliver a beautiful anniversary gift. Saks did nothing even though it would have been so easy to send a nice give box with the short note inside directly to me during those 3.5 weeks! When I complained to the sales associate, she was very apologetic again and the store manager offered a gift card which I declined. Saks just doesn't get the fact that they are an upscale store that needs to provide first class customer service, not try to "bribe" customers to ignore the poor service. I will NEVER shop there again.
Another really great shopping site with excellent customer service and product offerings. Saks really tries to be different in the items that it sells with the addition of their own brand of clothing and accessories. You can not go wrong with Saks online and in store, but they can be very pricy unless they are have a sale. A Saks fifth ave sale is a dream come true but other shoppers know this as well so items go fast.
I ordered a pair of flip-flops for my daughter. They sent the wrong item. I contacted customer service and have to return the flip-flops for a full refund which is fine. Now they are not on sale anymore, and they refuse to honor the price for replacement even though it was their mistake

I bought a TF quad from Saks Fifth off and got a letter with tracking information. Upon the date that tracking info showed item delivered, I rushed out of door but couldn't found anything in the mail box or front door... Apparently the item has been lost. I called Saks Fifth Off customer service and open a investigation case at Sep 22. Two weeks have been passed and nothing has been heard still... Scam!
I've been buying from Saks for a while and usually everything goes smoothly. However last time, they canceled my order because they didn't have the item in stock. They just emailed me a generic sorry for the inconvenience note. Beware!

Never got a verification for my order pickup. At the store they said "sorry call customer service". Customer service said "sorry sometimes on our end we have these glitches" and was told to place the order again. I will never place another on line order with them.
Much like other reviewers I ordered gifts for Christmas/ Some came incomplete and some never arrived. Customer service was not helpful, rude and basically lied. They said the outfits I ordered were not in stock when they were (I reordered to verify). They also never followed up as promised. Horrible horrible experience.
I ordered a YSL purse during their cyber sale, so I received $400 off the original price. A couple of days later they sent me an email saying my order was canceled due to inventory. I check the website and it's still available! My friend ordered the same purse, but without the cyber deal and the purse shipped out. I contacted customer service and they told me me I should place a new order, but no cyber deal. Wow! Saks is such a shady business, I hope people will stop shopping at Saks!
This company has no integrity. They advertise that you will get a gift card with purchase of a certain amount and then they scam you! I will never buy from Saks again and am returning everything I bought.
What a mistake to outsource your customer service. I had never purchased a pre Oder before and a pair of Gucci loafers fell into this case. I wasn't sure how Saks handled the billing so I rang customer service. The creaming children in the background was the first troubling thing followed in order of the person on the call obviously scrolling to find answers. Bottom of the barrel and will purchase directly from Gucci.
I purchased several items on April 19, saw that it went on sale and requested a price adjustment on April 24 (within their time frame and policy). I have a print out from 4/24 confirming items were in stock. I received an email stating the request was "approved" and spoke with customer service at 9:40 AM on 4/24 confirming that to be the case. It is June 27,2023 and after multiple phone calls/even with supervisor assuring me the refund was going to be submitted was declined this morning. They said the reason is because the items have to be in stock at time of request. The items were in stock in the same style/size. I have a print out of it that I'm looking at. The price adjustment is a scam, don't shop here. Waste of time/money.
Purchased Givenchy bag On sale from $1950 to $1460. 4 days letter bag went to $731. They Wouldn't honor huge discounted price. Their Reason, I didn't buy it at full price. Several times the item at that $731 price was available to purchase again, but every time I went to buy, it was sold out. Now I will be returning this bag because it is so frustrating that they wouldn't honor the $731 price and credit me back the difference. Makes me not interested in doing business with Saks again and purchase at other stores.
Beware buying from them, they are liars and have the worst customer service. Buy from neimans or any other luxury retailer. They do not honor their promo codes and do not care about their customers. They are going downhill and i caught them lying to me 3 x in a row and i sent them proof showing them they were lying and then they just said" i really apologize and hang up. Its a shame to see a once great company in the trash now. Bring your business elsewhere, they are literally running a scam company now.
9/18/22 - I placed an order on May 18,2022. At first, it said that order was delivered, but then the t-force tracking said it was lost. I have called Saks 5 times about this, each time, they give me a case #, tell me that t-force shows it was sent to sender and that I should get a refund. Weeks go by and no refund. I call and the rep tells me that the case was escalated but got declined. Why would it get declined if I never received the order or the refund? This is literally the same conversation each time. I'm on hold now because today's rep, Brianda, told me my request was declined, I go thru the same thing for the 6th time, she creates a case # and tells me it will get escalated. I think Saks' strategy is for customers to get tired and drop it. The amount is not worth all this effort, but now it's just principal for me. They are awful people and I will never stray from Nordstrom again.

I order a pair of shoes may 29th in store to be delivered to me because they were not available in store. I was told I would have got it 5 to 10 business day. I called customer service after 2 weeks to get an update, they apologies and said I would have got also a gift card for the long wait and someone would have called the day after with more updates. Nobody called! So I called again and the told me the package was delivered in the weekend, but I never saw the package. So am investigation was opened by June 13, as per today June 28 nobody ever got back to me nor responded to my emails. This is really disappointing for a big store like Saks. Will call again and just get a refund and buy myself available shoes.
Messed up a single simple order. Shipped it delayed in three different packages to the address that I already left at the time. Had a lot of trouble collecting these packages due to strict signature rules and unhelpful customer service. By the time I finally got my hands on them, I found out that Saks shipped wrong items to me. Customer service did not resolve the problem: they said the item I ordered is already out of stock and that I have to ship the one that I received back. They said that I will also lose the promotional gift value of 750$ that I got on Black Friday with that order, because I am technically returning the item. I argued with them that they messed up and sent me the wrong item and, hence, I shouldn't lose the certificate value, because I don't want to return anything - I just want my actual order items. Lady said nothing can be done except for return and loss of the 750$ gift certificate.

If I could give a zero rating I would! They are so awful! I made the mistake of ordering 2 different items from them - the first one arrived, I didn't like it so I returned it. Their return policy to credit back money takes FOREVER, longer than any other retailer I have dealt with. The 2nd item I never received so I filed a missing product claim which was approved. Waiting for refund, the item was located and returned back to Saks. It's been a month since I first ordered the item and have yet to receive my refund. This is unacceptable! I will NEVER order from them again!

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT shop with Saks. If you do, be prepared to not get a refund or wait forever for such refund. The reps who answer the phone are not helpful at all!!
