I have only but good experience with saltwaterfish.com. Quality of the animals is great and their customer service is top notch. Always eager to receive the email specials since there is also a great deal. Most places only sell corals but here you can find everything, fish, corals, invertebrates, rock and aquarium supplies. I have had a saltwater aquarium now for 6 years and purchased from other locations but I know stick with saltwaterfish.com.
Save your money and buy elsewhere. Bought several fish in order to receive a free one. Paid fish were fine upon arrival, though not packed the best, but the free one was of course dead. Of course they will do nothing about it - in reading other reviews it seems they ship dead or sick fish as part of free promotions.
Period! Do not do business with these people as they advertise all kinds of specials if you spend enough money and then do not back up their guarantees when your livestock arrives dead
I received a ridiculously Sexy Shrimp, so small you can barely see it. I received a Derasa Clam that was about an inch in size and looked cut in two. The other inverts I ordered were small and looked terrible. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
This website is terrible. I ordered 20 fish(in two separate orders) and in a few months only 2 are left. Very disappointing because I am only 15 and dont have a way to get that many fish. I saved up for this and it was a HUGE WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY.
I ordered from this company twice on two different occasions. Both times, my orders arrived the majority of the fish arrived dead. The others lived a couple days and died. I've never been able to get any fish ordered from Saltwaterfish.com to live. I have been keep saltwater fish for more than twenty years and have several fish in my tank currently, I've had for more than 15 years. In a nutshell, it's not my tank, it's the quality of fish and their process of preparing/shipping. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!
I purchased a Choati Wrasse from this site and it arrived in a cold bag dead. I reported it to the site right away with photos as they stated well within the 5 hour window to receive a refund. I didnt get a response until the next day and they issued a stone credit. I wanted a refund but I took the credit. I ordered a 4 Blue Spot Jawfish and a 2.5-3.25 Barred Goby with the credit. The order arrived and the Jawfish looked great but the Goby was very small about 1-3/4 inch at the most. I emailed them to explain I had a 125 gallon tank and this sized Goby would not be enough to sift the sand in a tank this large. The ignored my email and after sending 5 more I fiannly got an answer. They said Please take a photo of the fish next to a ruler and we will verify. I was like how am I supposed to catch a 1-3/4 inch Goby in a stocked 125 gallon tank? They ignored me again. Im not going to fight with these people over $20 but they wont get anymore of my money.
So I got a Lawnmower blenny, cleaner shrimp, watchman goby and a pistol shrimp. Lawnmower blenny arrived super skinny, cleaner shrimp arrived dead, and the watchman goby was like 2 cm long. The pistol shrimp is the only one that hasnt either dissapeared or died. All my other fish are doing great that I didnt buy from this horrible website. Never doing this place again. I trust petco more than saltwaterfish.com
ORDER A BLACK LION FISH THY SENT EMAIL STATEING OK CHARGED ME AND SENT A RED ONE WAS TOLD BY I GUESS OWNER HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT AND NEVER DID WILL BE GOING TO FED TRADE COM. AND BBB. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
Whole order was dead on arrival! Bought two polyps, one dragonet and a orange bubble, did everything, turned in doa request just as told, and they still didnt honor guarantee and refund my money, mary the owner told me the bubble was still alive, i know the diffrence between a dead anemone and a live one, i have several of them, the 2 polys werent even attached to the plug, they musta broke off during shipping i dont know, and the fish were dead with slime all over it,
Tip for consumers:
buyer beware!!!!!
Buyer BEWARE! Nothing but lying thieving bastards! Gave me a coral for $200 that wasn't symbiotic with the coral that it was attached to... after 1 month of going back and forth I was rudely told that it was my fault! I am reporting them to the BBB and steer clear of Mary... nothing but a TOTAL $#*! LIAR THIEF!
A porcupine puffer, sea star, 3 green crabs, sea hare all VERY dead on arrival. This company should not be allowed to handle live animals!
Customer service does not exist. No refunds on items that arrive dead. Yet you pay $40 for shipping (2) 1" shrimp? WTF? Shop elsewhere please! Don't support this fecal train wreck of a business.
Tip for consumers:
Tell it like it is

Bad business with this company will never order from them again I received half of a store credit for a fish they arrived half dead
This company does not like us! I place an order with my partner and the refused to ship it. Worst part is I had to dispute the charge.
I have ordered marine fish and corals from this company for 8 years and will not buy again. The order was placed in my name; however, the company did not have available two of the fish I paid for. So, a call comes to the house while I am at work putting my husband on the spot that the only replacement available for a chocolate tang is a convict tang. I did not want a convict tang and considerable difference in price, tank compatibility, and brilliance exists between these two fish. My husband inquired about a refund for the fish not "passing inspection" which I believe were sold out instead, and was told by the representative that this was his only option. When I found out what occurred, I was very upset and the manager stated there was nothing she would do. She was rude and told me to donate the fish I did not want to a library or school. This is the most rude and unethical response I have ever dealt with. What I am doing in reality is accepting the blame for this company's bad customer service skills and donating money to Saltwaterfish.com for a product I did not want. This is a really poor way to conduct business. The manager additionally informed me that phone calls are made to households; therefore, if a child, guest, or whatever answers the phone, this individual will be making choices on replacements as stated "it is not our policy to request the person that placed the order in their name." I additionally paid additionally charges to Saltwater.com to have my delivery arrive prior to 12pm of which did not arrive until close to 4pm... so, some species were dead on arrival. That is, a box sitting in a hot FED EX truck for hours in Arizona in the middle of three digit weather. All in all, the customer service, service in general, and guarantees have changed. IT is obvious the staff and company do not care about the customers or having the livestock arrive safely. Would not recommend!
Poor service, poor quality of fish. Quick to take your money, slow in processing your order if at all.
I am a frequent customer and saltwaterfish.com is awesome. If you have doubts call them and personally talk to them about any concerns you may have.
Agree. Horrible customer service. You have a problem, you are left alone. I chat with Mary and left the chat angry
Received half of my livestock DOA. Instead of giving me $100+ credit they gave me $4 dollars. What a joke.
I don't get these reviews I've had no issues any doa they refunded... everything was packaged well...
Great prices. Fast shipping. I needed help and contacted customer service by chat. Quick and easy!
