The Salvation Army has assisted me with pickup donations since, 2013. Each member, from the phone, to driver and movers are kind, courteous, informative, efficient and helpful. They always do the job quietly, quickly and neatly. They are always on time and meet all commitments. It is evident
That they have a true heart to serve and bless. In-person donations are also very easy and they are welcoming of the donations. I appreciate what they do to help communities across the globe and am grateful that I can help them, to make it happen. Thank you, Salvation Army!

A wonderful organization dedicated to providing necessary services to those that are most in need. Ive known many people that have utilised this companies services, one that even utilized their sponsored halfway house. Two thumbs way up, you got this man clean from alcohol, you got him a job, and you got him going to church. You will know a good tree by its fruit.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, my family was in a financial crisis. Fortunately, we found the generous hearts of The Salvation Army. They helped us with food every week (using correct COVID-19 protocols), they offer free used clothing and other household items, including a microwave to replace ours when it had broken. They offer daily lunches to those in need. My favorite part of the lunch is the prayer before we eat. If you have a prayer request, you may fill out a small form to be read by the pastors. They don't force religion on you but instead, offer you God's Salvation with open arms should you want to attend Christian based services. They give out free winter hats, scarves, gloves, & mittens as well as winter coats. They run the Red Kettle program every winter and out of this donated money, $0.82 of every $1.00 goes back into the organization towards helping the needy! I could go on all day about how they help the world so go check out their websites!

Recently went to the Slavation Army to find 1980's clothes for my child's school event. (Can't believe I should have kept some of mine for a retro costume!) we found a couple items for her costume but I also found a pair of Lucky Jeans & a cute dress for myself! It happened to be Discount Monday & we got the deal of the century with every item about $7. I'm going to have to scrounge through the racks again now! That was fun! (The only annoyance is having to get the dressing room unlocked every time you want to try something on.)

Friendly staff, great rare items. I don't know what else to say, I don't like st. Charles. Downtown bks disappoints. I guess I'm not a right wing nut, and I'm not left, what's with this political stuff, I'm a moderate. It's easy to see what really matters. Hate the sin, not the sinner. If we were perfect we'd already be in heaven.

I literally had a couch that had no stain or tears. The legs needed to be put on ($10 from Amazon) but the couch it self was in perfect condition. It was part of a set that cost over $7000 brand new and they came to pick it up and wouldn't take it due to the legs. Quit honestly I don't know how or why you'd pass that up. Someone in need definitely would have loved that couch. I don't understand why I would donate to you at all if you would pass up something that was in such good condition. Then they said they just take things to fund missions only- like they are selling to the rich to fund…? No, not really how that works. Anyway I'll be giving to better charities from now on out.

I was picking up food at Salvation Army and the volunteers at the window were very rude. In addition, the black man who was delivering food and supplies was running people over and cursing. It is a horrible location and managed extremely poorly.

I schedule a pick up for futon couches, I know there is a no rip, stain or tear policy. The futons were fairly new, it did have small tears that I repaired, the driver said even if the tear is repaired it cannot be taken. I accepted it and thanked them, but the driver just felt the need to continuously insult me saying, "Oh you really tried, and let me see the other one your repaired just for laughs" and "I hope you are moving into a house" they wouldn't stop until I just cut them off and said thank you for your service, I apologize that you all had to make this trip, take care and drive safe. " Their behavior was so disgusting and unnecessary.

What a joke. They do not take care of their employees. Store 2 has lost such a great team do due higher ups are so power hungry. Our dearest friend got murdered And they wouldn't even allow us to put a donation bin out for her cremation. She dedicated almost 10 years and they treated her like she's just a number. We had a great team and because someone wanted to steal they blamed the whole crew and fired them. Gary and Tammy are narcissistic manipulative liers and push you until you brake. Then they laugh and write you up.
The program to help addicts is a great program but working for them is a joke.

Salvation Army provided me with a bed and locker and food when I needed it most. Otherwise drug dealers pimps and hustlers would have taken me for all I have until my soul would be smooshed in the dust and Id kill myself.

The title says it all. This company, across several different countries have abused children, covered it up, allowed officers who abused/assaulted children to keep working with children, denies services to LGBTQ+ youth, often lie about their messages on their website, and says gay people should die. Not to mention they bribed governments to bypass laws so they don't have to abide by them.

None of this is in the good word of the lord. None of this is a "mission" from god. All of this is a power trip of a company that will put other people's lives at risk for money.

Awful company, awful values, no kindness, no support, takes advantage of children, and takes advantage of those who seek for their help.

They tout the logo " Doing the Most Good" but in reality they don't! They say they provide services but but when you ask for those services they make excuses why they can't help. They don't seem to care about community just Their own image portraying they help when they dont. Their staff is also condescending to to community, rude and abusive. Especially the security staff.

Kudos to Sharon, new manager at the Colonie/Schenectady Store! Number one, she is super sweet, but dang! I came in that store on Wednesday morning and I could not believe the amount of merchandise out! It is like a different store! She has truly turned it around in one day! It makes me excited to go in there, because there is so much new merchandise every day! I am just astounded how she turned it around so fast! Thank you Sharon!

Then what is your problem? Guarantee it will be if a fight breaks out! I went there yesterday to get food. There is ALWAYS drama at this place. A little 20 year old girl told me to stay away from the door, a staff member assumed I was coming in and I just walked up to ask a question. They treated that girl like their pet and like she could do no wrong. I am almost 50 and guarantee if that little girl isn't staff she won't tell me what to do. Then a woman threatened me and said she had a weapon after I told the 20 year old baby that hasn't lived life yet even to quit telling me what to do. I bring protection too, you have to there and it's getting that way in all the poor folk hangouts in Pocatello. I used to donate and it was fresh healthy food! You are never going to get another donation from me again. After this I will access St Vincent and the foodbank on first because you all don't know how to act!

I have been homeless for 8 months I finally came up on a list through the salvation army for housing in Rapid Rehousing program. The case worker over the program is Andrew he was condescending and attempting to persuade me I was not fit for housing. I'm being forced to stay homeless if I freeze to death this week its because Mark Sliter, Andrew and Amber Rosolis at the Harry Hines location in social services. I repeatedly told them I would do the program so I can get somewhere safe to live. I'm running from domestic violence, living out my car like an animal. Amber refusing me to do the initial intake for Rapid Rehousing. Mdha is also not helping or assisting me in being homeless. I'm black that's why!

My mom passed away. After packing up glassware, dishes and ceramics, I scheduled a donation pickup in Buffalo, NY. I live in another state, so I arrived in Buffalo the day before the scheduled pickup. The timeframe for the pickup was between 8am-4pm. At 4:05pm, I called the donation call center to ask why the donations hadn't been picked up. I was told my pickup had been cancelled with no explanation in the notes. Are you kidding me? The Salvation Army is unreliable, untrustworthy and down right rude. Unprofessional. Do not waste your time with this company.

This store in Manassas area going for very bad service, one Cacheir for 20 person.you have to waiting long time(it's 15 min from your life)to get your turn,about her job she got mad if you try to ask her a question,Almost store they doing 50% discount on Holadays but this only for clothing.sometimes they put high prices for some stuff old more than the others stors...

I waited to weeks for them to pick up these perfectly good sofas. They did not take them for a small stain that would have cleaned out in a matter of seconds. They are expecting brqnd new items that have been used. Thos would have been great for a family in need. Never will I donate to them again as they are obviously not for helping familoes in need like theu say they are.

I saw their eBay auction of Udonis Haslem game worn jersey. The jersey had a MeiGray patch with a serial number. I contacted MeiGray and provided the serial number of the jersey. Turns out the jersey was never game worn. The worst part is that I messaged them right away and sent the screenshot of MeiGray reply. I got no response, they didn't take the auction down, didn't update the detailsof the auction to clarify that the jersey is not actually game worn.

I scheduled a donation pick up with the Bradenton Salvation Army. In the course of picking up the items LAST MONTH, they broke the closing arm on the screen door. Their building is spitting distance from my home. They must have maintenance people. They won't send their guy over to put the screws back in the arm. I have to deal with their insurance company. I have to FIND a handyman to come over and fix it. I have to send them a receipt, THEN WAIT to be reimbursed. I shouldn't have the burden of cleaning up their mess. No more money for their bell ringers, no more donations. MINUS ZERO STARS

Where is the Salvation Army? They are ALWAYS bragging about the millions they pull in every year bell ringing! Well the UKRAINE could use some SERIOUS HELP! If it's left up to me! There won't be anyone to pay the Salvation Army anymore! You do nothing but steal money by claiming to be a chairty! Shame on you! And keep you expired FOOD!
