The brand names are limited. But as long as you know how to shop, the choice of products is adequate. No deli. Meats were good. Candy and snakes left much to be desired. But the staff could not be better. They were above and beyond. Every single person jumped to help. I mean the whole store. One girl came back to me saying she found flour torritoes in stock if I wanted them, I said hell yea. They were very clean. Just perfect, not like shoprite. They do not even change their gloves, or wipe all the services your food touches.
I brought milk twice on 12/12/24 and both of them was spoiled so i took it back and they gave me a hard time. My kids could got sick from the milk from drink you have really watch you expiration date. I will never return back to the store again selling expired milk who know what else expired
I have been a S. O. L. Customer since 1995. I somewhat understand the costs go up with the economy.
I don't know why your increases are higher than Walmarts increases. I am keeping tabs on both of your stores. The second change is your "mobile" app. You guys really need to get someone that has skills
Suited for the twenty first century. There are literally children that can make a better website.
#******* I was not greeted, not talked to even though I made small talk. The whole debit machine was broken and had to be held. The sign said " must use pen" but the pen clip was broken so I didn't see it. She repeated, like I was in kindergarten, what the sign said.
Thankfully a male associate told me where the pen was. She still never said thank you when I was done, so I said "thank you, you really didn't need to be so rude". It escalated from there. Horrible customer service. I've been in the field for over 30 years. Not good
Tip for consumers:
This location use to be great, but has really been let go the last couple years. Makes our side of town just that much worse. I do not think they understand customer service at all. Could be why it is so slow anymore

Shame on the owners for having there employees working on Christmas Day or any holidays without holidays pay while they at home with there nice homes with there families, the stores has came alone way and the employees are doing a really good job of keeping up the place, some stores really need improvement especially in the location they are at. Think about the employees and not yourself, they are the ones who is keeping the company up and running. Pay them more than what they are getting as well as better benefits because they are also putting them at risk of getting sick for everything that comes in and out the store.

They have a wide variety of foods. Most of the foods are cheaper then other stores. They have named brand and off brand. Fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh cut meats, frozen foods, milk all your can goods and much more.
I started shopping her because Walmart was buisy and I have ptsd. They where great. Then they rebranded. Meat has been rotten, milk has been clobbered, butter has to be poured off of water after every use. Chips are more expensive. So is pop and half the veggies, if u can find some that don't have mold. Store need real evaluation of what it is.

Have had no problems. Deltona Florida savalot is very clean and organized. Very impressed with the fresh selection of fruits and vegetables. Their meats are good. No problems to date. Try it. Ya just might like it.
Dont waste your time at this store especially if you there for a sale. Want there last week for their 3.99 per lb T-bone steak sale and was told that they ran out and that the owner was extending the sale threw next week witch was the week of 5/19/2020 went back Sunday when more was supposed to be delivered and of corse it wasn't so called Tues and was to it was in. So I drive back down for the 3rd time and the girl in the meat dept tells me that they rant pricing them at 3.99 per lb any more that its too expensive! Really. This is a clear cut case of bait and switch and will report to the attorney generals office. But unless your up for wasting you day don't bother shopping there.
I really like shopping at save a lot but, there isn't one near me anymore. In fact there isn't a grocery store in the town that I live in and I really thank that a save a lot would do great here. I live in Markle, Indiana
I want to know why does the Duquoin il save a lot always sells bad and expired food this includes meat! I always wondered why the meat didn't taste good and tasted old then I heard another customer say the meat was expired. Yuke I no longer shop there
This comment is for the cashier in Tifton Ga save a lot store. I purchase yuca root and the price tag clearly say $1.29/lb. When she rang it up she pit $2.99/lb. I told her thats wrong and keep saying that that was the right price. I argue a little bit because she is wrong and then she made a smart remark that she didnt know whats the big deal about it and gave me a bad look. The big deal is she put the wrong price- thats the deal. The receipt#is *******- cashier on register #4 on 04/15/23,4:03:17 PM.
State street is a hot mess they treat it like the hood from the outside to the inside stuff is everywhere the food check the date Meat area look like they threw the stuff up there and put a big price on the junk like we suppose to buy it meat never the right color the prices aint never the same at all u got to make sure its right the employess are a mess half of them bring they kids to work or they boyfriend that has nothing to do with sav a lot cant get out the front door stop being cheap buy the right door
I have a shopping at the Save-A-Lot on 4th Street in Lincoln Park Michigan I purchased salad dressing two small packs of chicken wings bread two for five bucks and a large 2 l soda and it all came to $40 that's outrageous highway robbery.
1. Theres NEVER EVERY enough cashiers, period. Ive seen one cashier QUITE while there was five people in line. Just REDICULOUS. The freezers in the back have frozen food with NO lables! I point this out to a front line work. You would think I was asking them for thier SS number. This at the broad ST location.
They now want $4.89 or to be simpler, $5 for a box of butter. Who do they think they are? The mall? If i'm paying 1.25 per stick of butter i'll go to WholeFoods and get quality butter instead of Sav a lot generic butter. Better get back in point Sav a lot or do you plan sav a nothing? $#*! no. And what happened to 5 for $20? Can't do that either right? Done w sav a lot. I went today and they had rotten avocados and no squash whichnis IN SEASON! Idiots! #donewithsavalot
Tip for consumers:
The price before i went because i’d have to a real grocer for $1.25 per stick of butter. Not margarine. Butter. Hill jacks don’t know there’s a difference. A very big difference!

over priced butter.
Very rude thing working at Nile's ohio great east plaza (Eastwood) mall location,, she is so rude, you can tell she hates her job and doesn't want to be there! I WAS A REGULAR CUSTOMER! BUT NOT ANYMORE because of her,, she seems like she's going out of her way to help you with a question or cashier calls her because you were over charged for a item,, never smiles and is very RUDE! Never says thank you, I'm sorry or anything,, looks like a zombie
Tip for consumers:
Yes , I will not shop that location as long as she is the manager
This is the 2nd time that I bought pork chops from save a lot and got home and they were sticky and smelly I have to take them back be careful when you buy their meats
If you aren't looking for name brand, you can shop at Save-A-Lot and save a lot of money. They have less to choose from but it is still a good store to visit.
I bought 2 of your Porks Briszue, I cooked one, then the other 6 days later, they were both so tough and stringy, there was no way we could eat them. The one cost me $10.31, then the other cost me $10.34. They were absolutely horrible. I bought many of these meats on many different occaisions, I NEVER had this problem before, I called the store to complain and they hung up on me. When I took the cooked meat into the store, they told me that there was nobody in the store that could help me. After spending alot of money on alot of different occasions ( and money, not food stamps), I am very dissappointed not only in the both meats but with the service I did NOT get!
My family bought a watermelon here and it was FULL of worms nothing was rotted but when we cut it open there was a huge crater in the middle of it where the worms ate it. I also pulled out plastic from inside of the watermelon. DISGRACEFUL
Been sold rancid food multiple times. Last time when I tried to return it, they tried to charge me for the frozen rancid meat I just walked in with. Then they accused me of starting trouble by returning their rancid meat. After embarrassing and humiliating me like that, I announced to the store that they sell rancid food and left. The manager followed me to my car. I told them to get away and not speak to me after how they treated me, and he told me to "s*** his d***." So yeah, this is what happens at this store. They will embarrass you after robbing you, then follow you outside to make vulgar insults. I found out the owner is in that store and he "doesn't like to be contacted," so clearly this is how they want their store run.
I used to go to this store 3-4 times a week. They won't get a single penny from me ever again. I hope the manager there finds someone to fulfill his needs.
Be aware they respond to negativ reviews that get past Google's filters with a FAKE LINK. If you go to the link they provide, it says "These stores are privately owned" and doesn't allow you to fill in a complaint. So the owners here reply to complaints deliberately telling people to use a form that they know won't actually work. If you send your complaint from the proper website, Save-a-Lot Tri State, it will go through and the owner will ignore it.
If you're near the door wiping off carts and a customer enters, you should greet the customer, not turn your head. I work in customer service and I NEVER miss an opportunity to greet a customer. Also on this day at the Frostburg SAL, my cart hit one of the big cracks in the parking lot, my cart tipped over and I with it. I went forward, toward the ground, almost head over heels, as my food came out of the cart. I did not fall and was not hurt. My eggs were cracked. I took the eggs back in the store and as I was telling a different person, cleaning the carts at the front door, about the incident, although she saw it, she says, "You're not suppose bring anything back into the store, it has to go in the trash outside." Really?! Then how the hell would you know what I needed to replace, if I don't bring it back inside. That's what I wanted to say. I was pissed, but I'm not a rude person so I just got the another case of eggs and left. Your parking lot is terrible and needs to be fixed. Anyone, young or old could be seriously injured by a trip and fall. The cart broke the fall I could have had. The person at the door never asked, "Are you ok?" or anything. I know I look 20 years younger than I am, but I'm a middle aged woman with back issues. If I were a person with wrinkles, who you assumed was a senior, would you pretend to be concerned? I can't say your staff should be more courteous, they weren't courteous to begin with. I hardly ever shop at SAL, but I've had enough. From the not so great produce, to the suck staff I'm done.
Visited for the first time since leaving the neighborhood. Items that weren't a part of this program were for the most part, priced okay. The meat section was alright. Produce section was nearly bare, but chock that up to stocking.
The problem is, and always has been, the scam that is get 5 for $20. The items offered in this category are now nearly half the store. Items that can be found as low as $2 elsewhere are being included in what is essentially a "gotcha" type of markup, making it seem as if you're getting a half decent deal when you're really paying absurd amounts for a bag of potato tots.
The sandwich meats are priced so high that it's nearly pointless to even be a part of the 5 for 20. They are actually now more expensive than most grocery stores that aren't supposed to be about savings and well priced food. The neighborhood I lived in, I know these people think they're doing better shopping there, and simply put, they aren't.
Shop elsewhere. Local spots like country stores, farmers markets for produce. Shop around for your meats. You'd be surprised how awful some of these "THE SAVINGS!" stores actually are. It's no longer reasonable to do all of your shopping in one place, and unfortunately, Save A Lot has no place in my shopping (nor should it yours), at all.
I would rate the stores and employees are nice and work hard to keep up... 4 stars for them... however, i really want to write about the customers... a lot, which i stated are lazy... what i see when i shop is if the customers don't want the item the customers leave cold products on shelves and don't have the respect to put the item back... i see items left on floors, at the check out lanes and even in carts... what is up with that, i understand that everyone is or has certain amount to spend... the save a lot stores are not that large in size, it is easy to find items... finally, as i noted many times before, the customer get really restless at the registers, the customers act like their is such a big hurry to get out of store it's like they have a big hot-date to go to... as the customer is waiting up at the registers things change... while waiting at the registers, and while they are being checked out, they don't even have their funds such as ebt cards debit cards or what ever ready... they look thru their purse, wallet, what ever, and they take way too long to have their stuff together... get with it customers! Have your stuff ready to go when you are at the registers... sense you are in such a big hurry!
Found 6 items out of date in one visit eggs 30 days past the best buy date. Manager didn't seem to care.
Tip for consumers:
