I like how Pearson is so easy to do and finish! It is a great program that i have used for years! It is an amazing program. I am so grateful for Savvas realize!
I can not even get over how bad this curriculum is. I would need way more room to go into full detail. Every aspect of this curriculum is awful. The homeschool bundle comes with ZERO answers to any of the problems or tests. The website is not user friendly at all. I never was able to figure it out despite spending hours of time devoted to it. I feel so bad for teachers or students who are forced to use this. I ended up sucking up the money and ordered a real math curriculum from bju press
PLEASE READ THIS! I have 160 IQ and I'm in 5th grade. Savvas has made it almost impossible for me to divide or multiply. The homework is 12 questions and is usually very hard. I used to use iReady and it was so much better! Please use iReady instead of Savvas! Don't use Savvas unless you want to have your brain fried. I learned nothing in the past 7 months because of Savvas! This is a WARNING. DO NOT USE SAVVAS! Oh, and it thinks I'm 1 and 1/2 years old. No standard algorithm?!?!?

Sadly I am a student who has to use this. So let me begin with the textbook. They don't give you any space for you to put your work in the book. And the website, their videos don't help with anything but hurting your brain. Plus, the games are so cheaply made. If I was a teacher and had to use this or I would get fired I think I would be better off being fired than be hated by my students.
Tip for consumers:
Whatever you don't use this!
We have been doing work assigned by teachers for about two weeks using several systems. This one is very slow and difficult to work with. It is by far the worst system. I would rate all the others good or excellent. I tried to give it a zero, but 1 is the lowest.
The concept is great, execution is horrible. I teach middle school (7/8) Science, and every class period I'm having students clear their cache, reload the program, and about 10-15% of students can't submit their work OR it gets erased. DAILY! As the year has progressed, the program has gotten worse, not better. I'm going to finish the year with it and then just use Google Classroom.
I am not a teacher, but as a mom who has worked with my own kids, I have seen what works and what doesn't. This doesn't work at all. Who teaches something by testing you first. Who teaches something by asking them complicated word problems with no examples and no solutions. They don't know if they are doing it right or not. Then comes the Test. By the time of the assessment which is 80% of the grade, they are just confused, scared, and worried. If that was your objective, then you have succeeded. Who is designing this curriculum? Why not try to remember what it was like to be in 4th grade and start there instead of starting from a PhD level and trying to teach down to the kids like they are inferior. These children are smart and capable of learning if you will take the time to LEARN how to teach.
I read a lot of these reviews and at first was agreeing with everyone's sentiment that savvas is terrible. I am experiencing everything you are. Then I thought about it, I have used this for 5 years...Why have I used it so long if it is that bad? 1. cause the school I work for pays for it lol. But 2. I need examples of the math subject I am teaching. There are certain topics I know to stay away from but there are topics I have no idea how to relate to real world examples. This does a great job at that. I will agree the online component is annoying at times because the answer will be 1100 for example and Ill have a student see on their calculator 1`100 and put it in and get the wrong answer. That's frustrating for me and them. Also some of the wording is bad but overall a solid product that can help guide you when it comes to what you should and could teach and in which order.
Tip for consumers:
If you can, get access to 6 through 8th grade curriculum (even if you only teach 8th grade math for example). This will allow you to have the practice problems you need for multiplying decimals for example from the 6th grade curriculum. Its very helpful to have access to all of it. Using the teacher's edition is really helpful also.

It is almost as bad as IXL. It gave us 20% on the exam while the teacher told us our actual score was 90%. You accidentally click on the space bar, your answer becomes incorrect. Sometimes when you click on the text box it puts it halfway above the screen. And worse of all, it takes all the lesson just loading and what you get is a scream from your teacher in your face. Trust me. Don't believe a parent saying it's good, they're probably the company owner's wife.
This program is insanely difficult to navigate and it doesn't help that each teacher puts things in different places. The only class my son is having issues with is mainly on savvas. I truly hope we don't use it next year.

So this website basically hates you and what you want to accomplish. Most times when you try to at least turn something in it might not save and will do some pretty nasty things, but it is decent. Wouldn't recommend it unless you have to use it. I have seen worse tools for example success maker, another Pearson product. Ever since they got bought by Nexus Incorporated it has been getting better.
This website, from a students perspective, is absolutely hellish and causes headaches, suffering, and the need to die. I'd rather be on the ground vomiting out puke, getting eaten by idk like snakes or something, then doing this.
Website is so very glitchy. It doesn't even seem to try and teach kids, it gives them a story and then an endless amount of questions with little to no actual teaching. Half of the few videos they are shown seemingly don't relate to the topic at hand at all. Overall every single teacher and kid (including my kids) I have asked, dislike this program and agree in saying that it does not help with learning.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use it.

The online program.
The ''AI'' is so dumb at figuring out the correct answers. If i write 0 instead of y=0. Like cmon, we know that y is 0 but you were asking for an integer or fraction, and i typed just that. Who ever made this website you are now enjoying your life but are making us students' life harder. Go jump off a cliff.
This is the worst website I have ever been to. They don't explain step by step on what to do, and they don't even provide an online text book as well. How come they don't even have an online textbook!? What if a student forgets their freaking homework!? Why does this website even exist, oh my gosh.
The update is $#*!, looks ugly as $#*!, and hard to read, sometimes you have to solve up to 15 questions, if you leave it open for too long without doing anything it will sign you out and you have to re sign in or sometimes open up a new tab. The language is also $#*!, sometimes very unclear, and when typing in answers its really case sensitive but about numbers. TL; DR $#*! savvas realize.
This learning site makes so mad. I'm tired of this crap. The loading takes forever and sometimes just doesn't work. The videos have so many problems it would take me a gazillion years just to tell them all. It doesn't save your work, and since the loading takes forever it's such a pain in my booty. Please don't use this for teaching. Just imagining the suffering it will cause makes pity the kids.
Tip for consumers:
Get rid of it right now. It is garbage. I'm sorry but it is. Complete Garbage.
This website gave me geniune headaches after use. I just try to load up some text for my history class, it either works (which barely happens), or it doesn't load for about half an hour to 2 hours. Trying to do anything with this pitiful excuse of a "website" is painful and makes me want to rip my head out. I have never been more frustrated in doing basic tasks online than with this "educational website." If anyone sees this and plans to use person realize, save yourself pain and suffering and more pain and just don't use this horrible, awful, disgusting excuse of a learning website.
Every time I get on to Savvass, nothing loads! No units, no chapters, nothing. I find this very frustrating as I try to teach my class when none of them can have anything load including me! I'm a teacher at Yale by the way.
Practices and even tests often include material that has not been learnt yet in the unit. Horrible platform to use in case you decide to create online tests. The photos that have been uploaded show my point. These are screenshots of an 8-5 practice in Geometry that involves the basics of trigonometry. Two of the ten problems require knowing law of cosines. I have seen problems such as this that don't match the unit be included in tests. This is just an easy way for teachers to give their students work to do and get their paycheck without trying.
All of the questions make no sense, and none of them tell you how they want your answer. The question rarely specifies if it wants a fraction or percent, or if it wants you to round one or 4 decimal places. When it does they sneak it in at the bottom of the page in tiny blue font, it feels like the whole website is just out to mark you wrong on a technicality.
Savvas does not tell you how to do the work, it gives you a worksheet with no explanation. The grading is way to specific if you add a capital or misspell something it counts as wrong. I don't understand why my school is using a 1.22 star rated program but if they don't use something else soon, I am going to fail math. Savvas sucks and should be burned at the stake. If i could rate this site a 0 i would.

This website is very bad. When my teacher assigned a "Convince Me", I tried to explain my answer throughly and then when I wrote about 5 long sentences, the screen becomes blank. My work wasn't erased but it made writing sentences nearly impossible.
I am a teacher of multiple math and science subjects. When I am trying to create a lesson plan and need to use the online textbook, I can count on it to be glitchy and show the spinning wheel of death. The practice problems they create for students (geometry especially) are horrible and 9 times out of 10, I wouldn't even think of assigning them to my students. I go online and find some other worksheet instead because their content is so awful. It's generic public school garbage but worse. I have to use these things embedded in Canvas and I don't wish that on anyone.

Find other pdf textbooks for your courses if you can. Flexbook is preferable I think

The website barely loads all of the schools that are using it are bad in everything. The school i am at are all egotistical, disgusting and catastrophic. The website is rushed slow and wonky. All of the schools that pay for it are overpriced as the schools pay an abundance of cash for a service that is horrible
I agree with pretty much 90% of these reviews. Savvas realize is pretty dumb. When I was doing a quick check, on question 3, none of the answers seemed to be correct. So I picked whichever one that was closest, and then it said "incorrect" and when I looked at it, the options were different then what I saw when I could edit my answers. BTW I am using this because Parkway prob made me.
Never loads pages, e textbook sucks don't waste your money I am a student writing this and even everyone else says it sucks. Waste of money. Garbage. I'm trying to do a quiz right now and it won't open any of the questions.
