Got the appointment with ease. Received confirmation of appointment. Shane arrived exactly on time and knew exactly how to repair our Bosch dishwasher. Very courteous and efficient. Would recommend Sears Home Services. Gave some good advice to use pods instead of liquid and mid range Bosch dishwashers have excellent quality. This company has really got its act together!
As of today I have been without a working refrigerator for three months. The Sears Home Services Repair Protection Agreement was renewed for this appliance along with a dishwasher on May 7,2024 at a cost of $1,243.59 for three years. The refrigerator compressor failed on June 21 and Sears said no appointments were available until July 16. On July 16 the tech arrived to verify that a compressor was needed. Sears ordered the parts and scheduled repair for August 13. One part was then reported as delayed (but when I checked Amazon it was available for same-day delivery) and Sears pushed the repair back one week to August 20. Even though all parts had arrived on August 20 the tech didn't show up. After finally reaching an actual person at Sears they, without explanation or apology, stated that no tech could come until September 17. Three months without a refrigerator covered by an expensive service agreement. All their customers have similar stories. EDIT -- Here's an update on my review. Finally, on September 17,2024 the refrigerator covered by the Sears Home Services Repair Protection Agreement was repaired. That's 3 months after the first attempt to get it fixed. The reason why it takes so long is that Sears will automatically make you wait three weeks before they will send any tech to your home. They are hoping you will become so desperate that you replace the appliance at your own expense rather than wait for them. Look elsewhere for a Home Repair service. Do not pay Sears for any service contract.
Charged 98 dollars for the service call. Told my wife the transmission was bad in our washing machine. She was told the transmission was 700 dollars and 500 for labor. We didn't even pay that much for it when it was new. Out 98 dollars. Never do business with this company they will rip you off.

I needed to get my refrigerator repaired. The service man stayed for a little of an hour and said that he was having trouble getting it started. He ran out saying that it was working and charged me. When I checked it shortly after it was not working. I tried to make another appointment and after 45 minutes and six transfers I have another appointment and another charge! What a rip off!
Purchased a contract for snow blower that was supposed to include an annual service call (regular maintenance). When I called to arrange the annual service, they said that I would have to pay. What the XXXk. Now the snow blower won't start at the beginning of the winter, and the first available appointment is middle of January. You have to be kidding me. Never again. Lesson learnt.
Don't do it people. They will take your money and say that they can't fix your appliances. They do not have enough technicians and if you try and contact them you will be on hold for at least an hour. They will cancel your appointment an hour after they were supposed to be there. It's a big scam.
Had an appointment today dec 14th window 8 am 5 pm, no one showed up or called! So i called them they said the appointment moved and text would be here by 7:51 pm... so 6 pm up i call and they informed me the text cancelled my appointment and moved it to dec 30 between yep 8 am and 5 pm, without any phone call or explaination so again i called to find out why. They transferred me a dozen times just to be told they are closing and someone would call me back in the next 48 hours... they owe me $300 for a days pay that was lost! And they should have to pay for a new service guy to come out from a different company who is responsible and do the job that their own service guy could not even show up to do... is badge id number is *******
I will never schedule anything with Sears ever again. They scheduled me an appointment from 8am-7pm. I stayed home all day and about 5 pm I received a text message from the technician that he was overbooked and that would reschedule my appointment for the following week. Unbelievable, this is no way to do business, first they should give you a 4 hour window not 11 hours. They need to rethink how to schedule services and not overbooked and then not show up at all.
I will never call Sears for any services at all.
Sears has had our money for a few months while a part was on back order so they said. After calling so many times, I was finally told the part is no longer available. Then I was told to get my 432.00 back I needed to email billing. Billing told me I needed to email parts. Parts had me email billing again. We finally got a call and they said that we will get a refund within 30 business days. We should get it refunded to us immediately, not within 30 days. They have had our money for a few months. Please do not use this service.
They have the worse service ever, the waiting time on line unbelievable plus the people have no clue what they doing they keep transferring me from one department to another, the one make me cancel my contact with them she was yelling at me on the phone then she hung up, really unprofessional, the worse the worse ever stay away
Don't buy. They have compressor problems. Sears won't take care of their customers. If you don't have warranty the repair people charge outrageous cost. To replace a compressor that was covered under warranty but labor wasn't was $500. Was without a fridge for 3 weeks waiting to get a repair person here. Buy something else.
The service and customer service are horrible. The original appointment they send me a tech who did not want to work. The second appointment they never showed up. I paid for the maintenance and repair warranty. I have not been able to resolve anything with them.
WTF! I knew this was to good to be true. I setup the Appt... received several emails and text messages saying Joseph F was coming from 8-5 the next day. I took off work and No one ever came or called and then I got a text message picture of a house that wasn't even mine or even the right city... saying "No one answered the door please call to reschedule" lol! Customer service told me to call back in 3-4 hours! WHAT A JOKE! Is that a picture of a McDonalds parking lot? Lol!

Update - service person finally arrived. They were friendly, but not very knowledgable. They provided free estimate for new garage door motor. I still would not use this service again.

They never showed up. Customer service very poor. "Our systems down", "we have a garage door department", "we don't have a garage door department"...
I scheduled twice, received a call confirming appointment, then when they never came. I called the number back and it wasn't in service!?!?

No show from technician and no call whatsoever. I called their customer service twice and they changed times in the day to later that the tech should arrive and no surprise no show and no call. They were no help what's so ever. I see from my online scheduler that they rescheduled me for almost 2 weeks later! They don't try to help at all!
We purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator and an extended five year warranty. The refrigerated and not last 5 Years. Is December 19th and we have been without our primary refrigerator since September. There have been three attempts to fix it which is required before their obligation to replace it. Repairman have been out six times, three times the diagnose and order parts and three times to attempt to fix it. So now, having failed to fix it, we are now awaiting their call to begin the replacement process. The servicemen were excellent and did their best but the scheduling to drag it on this long is unacceptable. I also found out that the replacement has to come from Sears.com which has a very poor selection of replacements and they have the option of replacing with refurbished unit. Keep in mind that Kenmore Elite refrigerators are manufactured by LG and are not rated well. Local repair companies refuse to even work on them.

Scheduled a repair on a Kenmore refrigerator. The technician never showed. I called customer service. I waited 40 minutes. The agent assured me that the technician was still coming. He never showed. When scheduling the appointment I gave Sears a number for text messages, but they never used it. Lousy customer service.
Sears was contracted through a home warranty company. They came out, figured out the problem and ordered the part. Then, they cancelled last minute when they were supposed to come install the part after I took a half day off of work. Then, they cancelled the service order. When I called to reschedule (not aware they cancelled the service order), they said they see the order and set up an appointment. A man comes to my house, says he won't work unless we pay them. I said I already confirmed it's covered, please call your dispatch whom I talked to. He said no, and left the house. I called my home warranty company and asked they send someone else. It was a complete farce.
Requested service for a electric dryer. I called in a claim to American home shield who in turn assigned the service call to sears. Sears then books me an appointment for 16 days later. They inform me that they'll be at my home between 8 am and 5 pm. the day comes and the tech guy shows up at 5:15 pm. he takes a Quick Look at the dryer and determines the problem and part needed but sorry I don't have that part. Have to reschedule you for jan.4 th another 7 days. 7 days later no show no call nothing. I contacted sears no apology or explanation. They rescheduled me for 12 days later. I first started this adventure on Dec. 13 th. 2023. And my assumed final appointment is Jan.16 2024. So that's like 34 days of frustration. So I gave up and called a local appliance service company. 4 days later the problem was resolved in one hour. The part the sears guy ordered was the wrong part. If the sears guy would have taken the time to properly diagnose the problem he would have found a detached wire, instead of ordering a $ 120 part that was not needed. The service is the worst! They just still out money I pay for my insurance every month and when they have to replace my refrigerator they said it was manufactured problem... so I have to call whirlpool. And when I want to cancel my plan they want tu charge me. Never get this service! That why sears is going out of business.! Bad service very bad.
Technician was told that the service would be free due to my calling the company and telling sears how unhappy I am with service. Also he agreed to the free service. In the system it said it would be free. I have been waiting and am still waiting for my fridge to be fixed for a month! He left without fixing my fridge. I will never do any business with sears ever again. Sears will not get one more dime from me. The nerve to try to charge my mother 181$ after it was agreed to be free. After my waiting over a month for service to fix my fridge. NEVER AGAIN
Warrantied compressor in fridge shot after 8 years. Local tech said it was compressor so Sears came and looked at it on June 13. Ordered a compressor which didn't come until July 5. Said we would have "emergency service" since its summer and we've been without the fridge/freezer for a month. So they SCHEDULED us service on July 16. Over ONE MONTH without a working fridge/freezer. Customer Service has been terrible as others say, many hang-ups, too many transfers without being told, computers down for days... Terrible company.
Sears visited my home and identified the issues with the dishwasher, wash and dryer. After receive the parts, they never contacted the repair company for the repairs. No answer to emails, phone calls and text messages. I had to break my maintenance contract with Sears after waiting months for the repairs and appliances were never fixed!
I have been without a refrigerator for over a month. The first technician came and diagnosed the problem. He had to order a part and reschedule installation 10 days later. The part never arrived (actually they shipped the wrong part) The appointment was cancelled and the part was reordered and another appointment was scheduled 10 more days later. The part still has not arrived and the appointment is going to be cancelled agin. Meanwhile I have already paid for the parts and labor so they have no incentive to come and make this right. WhenI call to get info I am directed to foreign speaking people that I cannot understand and who have no idea about what is going on. All they say is "order status is updated every 10 days" This is not good customer service. I need answers
It's been three months of several cancellations at last minute or just no show after waiting all day for them. Finally a tech comes out and it is a warranty issue. Charges us 169 diagnosis fee and parts to do further diagnosis. Not parts to fix it. Then never came back as said. Called to find out why and they didn't even know. Called manufacturer and they stated we shouldn't have paid for any parts for this is warranty issue. Called sears back to get refund and nothing yet and they just take your diagnosis fee and run with it to never return. And watch what you sign with them and get copies. They do not send you an email like they said they will. I will be taking this further to state level. They are doing this to too many people and need to be stopped.
Sears Home Services was purchased by Transform Holdco LLC. Their techs are knowledgeable from my experience but this is a total rip off as far as pricing. I was charged $463 to put in a $25 part that took about 15 minutes. If you aren't able to diagnose the problem I think you would be better off to contact an online service person and have them help with the diagnostics and order the part yourself. Another option would be to have the Sears Home Services tech diagnose but don't let them do the work. Pay the $92 service fee and order the part yourself. I can see how older people can be ripped off by this service. Sears had a reputable name that this company is exploiting. Rick
They scheduled you right away, come out and find the problem and then tell you they have to order a part and it won't be in for a week, and then another week to get you on the schedule, maybe. I had to pay the $99.00 diagnostic fee and then hire someone else who could do it faster. It doesn't take a week to get parts in anymore. Amazon has my part and can deliver the next day. What a scam.
