Got the appointment with ease. Received confirmation of appointment. Shane arrived exactly on time and knew exactly how to repair our Bosch dishwasher. Very courteous and efficient. Would recommend Sears Home Services. Gave some good advice to use pods instead of liquid and mid range Bosch dishwashers have excellent quality. This company has really got its act together!
As of today I have been without a working refrigerator for three months. The Sears Home Services Repair Protection Agreement was renewed for this appliance along with a dishwasher on May 7,2024 at a cost of $1,243.59 for three years. The refrigerator compressor failed on June 21 and Sears said no appointments were available until July 16. On July 16 the tech arrived to verify that a compressor was needed. Sears ordered the parts and scheduled repair for August 13. One part was then reported as delayed (but when I checked Amazon it was available for same-day delivery) and Sears pushed the repair back one week to August 20. Even though all parts had arrived on August 20 the tech didn't show up. After finally reaching an actual person at Sears they, without explanation or apology, stated that no tech could come until September 17. Three months without a refrigerator covered by an expensive service agreement. All their customers have similar stories. EDIT -- Here's an update on my review. Finally, on September 17,2024 the refrigerator covered by the Sears Home Services Repair Protection Agreement was repaired. That's 3 months after the first attempt to get it fixed. The reason why it takes so long is that Sears will automatically make you wait three weeks before they will send any tech to your home. They are hoping you will become so desperate that you replace the appliance at your own expense rather than wait for them. Look elsewhere for a Home Repair service. Do not pay Sears for any service contract.
A whole star is too much. Apparently making an appointment on line is absolutely worthless. The 8-5 window means nothing. Tried to call to see what time the tech will be there and got someone from India to tell me "exact" time of 5:29pm. Not when scheduled, after sitting around ALL day waiting for someone to let me know a more precise time as the confirmation of appointment said they would do. Got a call at 7:20pm to tell me that I was number 17 on the 17 appointments scheduled for the day. The tech would go into over time to get to me and they would not approve it. So insanely frustrating and complete waste of time. Could never get a hold of a supervisor or the local dispatch unit. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
After calling them they refer you to another party and you have to call the.
After calling the third party they gave me a time for 0ne week later. When the service person came to my house he mentioned that he has to order a part. He left and I did not hear from them for one week.
After one week I called them and they mentioned that they ordered the part and will be ready next week,
So far we were without dryer for 3 weeks and if they show up at the promised time for one more week.
4,5 weeks for fixing a dryer, Crazy...
The repair person was nice and professional. I needed a written estimate of the repair so I called the 1800 number. Spoke with someone who assured me I would get what I needed which I did not. Called back and was told they would not give me a written estimate as was their policy. I of course wanted to know what
Had changed since the last phone call. I was frustrated and said it was their responsibility to give me a written estimate that was by the way between 500 to 800 so the estimate was refused for the repair. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was disconnected. I tried to call back and my number has been blocked. Soooo I guess there is no appeal if you are dissatisfied. Always check to see if they will put their estimate in writing before the come to your house.would have given them a zero iif possible

Had service for ice maker. Told cost of new ice maker was$600. I question the amt and was told they are this expense. Once they left I found the service appraisal the next day. The part was $210. Service charge was $450. Took less than 10 min to replace broken ice maker. I feel lied to and scammed. Sears good name is totally being abused. Untrustworthy service! Do not use service for repairs.
Scheduled an appliance repair through my home warranty.
Day of the service Sears canceled and then lied to me that my warranty canceled it (I verified with my home warranty when appointment was set up, the day of the service and after the cancelation, which my home warranty did NOT cancel, and it still shows active in their system). To top off this horrible customer service call, they then tried to convince me to use their services independently of my home warranty and said they could get me another appointment today.Like I would seriously consider paying out of pocket costs and using their disreputable service.

I have a three year old dishwasher with a leak. It was easy to schedule, but when the tech showed up he quoted a $600 price to repair! Then INSISTED we try the warranted that obviously they are told to push HEAVILY. That would knock it down to $400. Of course the monthly cost of the warranty far exceeded the price difference. Once I said no way, I can buy a new one for the same if not cheaper, he said we could buy the part from amazon and he would come back and do it "under the table"! Again I said no! He quoted a price of $250 for the part on Amazon. We pulled the dishwasher out (which he didn't even do) and scanned the QR code on the dishwasher, which takes you to the GE website and the part is only $36! The whole experience cost me $99 (service call). Hard lesson learned! If you learn anything from this review, look for QR codes before calling for service and whatever you do DO NOT CALL SEARS! I regret the thousands of dollars I spent buying a heating and cooling system from Sears. The system is not even 5 years old and it broke. I was not aware that I must use Sears for repairs - you will not be able to use any other service but Sears to get the parts covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The service is not free - you must pay at least $89 for the technician to check your system. This is a terrible situation because Sears is not able to provide timely service to customers. I had service scheduled for today, 7/20/22, and the technician did not show up. My husband was home all day waiting for the technician, he could not go to work - the service window was very broad 1pm-7pm. The technician did not even call, then the service was rescheduled to 8/3/22. I was told that Sears has a lot of customers waiting for service and the company will try and get me an earlier date if possible!

They are the worst in everything. Customer service, parts, repair, warranty. No one helps you, they say the same thing and give you another number since they love saying "oh we can't help you with that, call this department" -- even though the last rep told me the same thing! I will never do business with this company again. 5 months and my refrigerator is still not fixed. 3 different repairmen have come out, all say something different. They order parts that DONT COME until I pay for it out of pocket off of Ebay - then Sears still charges me for the part. NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY.
I have not had a working refrigerator for almost 2 months. I have a replacement warranty. It's becoming quite clear that my refrigerator cannot be fixed. Parts are not available. Sears tells me they are waiting for more information from the repairman, eventho they read the report from the repairman to me. Five different repairmen have come to the house. The last one said he did not think it could be fixed. Sears said they need more information. It is obvious Sears is just waiting for me to give up.

The service technician arrived in a timely manner and was respectful. I needed a new ice maker for my maytag. The total labor cost was $336 for about 35 minutes of work. I noted it to the tech and he made it sound complicated when it wasn't. He tried to sell me a monthly maitenance for $49 and the math didnt add up. Yes I have buyers remorse beware.
Texted and said they would be there between 10am and 2pm. I got TEXT updates that they were coming to fix my washer. At 2pm they texted me that they needed to cancel my appointment. I was so mad I made an appointment 1 week ago and made me wait around all day and then cancel my appointment at the end. Terrible service department I doubt this company has anything to do with the original Sears store because they suck.
A failed attempt at AI or automation at its highest level. Got no email, text, or confirmation part was ordered and then appt was canceled by a computer b.c they couldnt verify my part had arrived. After many attempts to talk to a person to let them know my part did in fact arrive, their "voice" sent me to a website to follow a prompt that wasnt there. The chat feature to me to a "human" that apparently didnt speak human after all b.c she just kept ingoring my concerns and saying "sorry you part didnt arrive" "I can reschedule"... I just told her my part arrived. They apparently dont care to help the human customers they have so i will for sure not be giving their computers any more of my business.

So far thad 5 service calls on a refridgerater for a leak. Made first call in February 2021 and it's August and I'm still dealing with this issue. What good is a service contract? This will be my last contract with Sears!

I have waited since August 7th for a part and trying to get reimbursed from my original part on July 29th. It is now October 8th and have called so many times for a credit. I am always told Sears will call me back within 24 hours. Horrible customer service and the engineers we also horrible. My husband had to help the first tech to put back my freezer. The second tech told me oh the first person should have ordered 2 parts to fix this. My freezer is still broken and I have now gotten the credit cards companies involved. Don't use them! Your calls go to another country and they have no clue how to issue a credit without transferring from person to person. I am rating this no stars!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!I would not recommend this company. I scheduled an appointment, I had already told the person on the phone what the issue was and they proceeded to tell me they could fix it. The 3rd party technician came out, did absolutely nothing and then told me that it couldn't be fixed because they don't make the compressor for my chest freezer anymore (mind you….it's only 2 years old). I think it's an absolute scam just to make the $139.00 that I paid for nothing. I called and explained the issue they told me they would refund me and that has never happened.

I called on a Sunday for a refrigerator repair. I was guven an appointment. I was scheduled for Monday. They were a no show. I called Monday and they of course said it was Tuesday. I have an emIl stating Monday. They gave several excuses and apologies with promise of a gift card and reward points for the inconvenience. I didn't receive either. They rescheduled for Tuesday. They show up but no part. I was rescheduled for Friday 4-19_19. They cancelled. They were rude. Some rep called Greg was the worst. Nothing we can do you just have to take what we have which is now Monday. So ive missed 3 days of work for on false promises and broken agreements by this horrible company. I now must must take another day off and hope they show. I have 2 children and no refrigerator for food but Sears got their money. Thank you Sears for allowing me to loose vacation days, food and additional money on takeout.
I will never use Sears Home Services again. They have the worst customer service ever. The compressor went out on a 3-year-old Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. The technician charged $169.50 to diagnose the problem on May 19,2022. The labor cost was $560.23 because the compressor was under warranty. The parts were order and the technician was to come back on June 4,2022, to complete the repairs. I got a call on June 3,2022 stating the repair date had to be rescheduled due to lack of technician. The soonest I was able to reschedule was on June 14,2022. I have been without a refrigerator for almost a month now. You only get a voice recording when you call their customer service number. You can never speak to a live person. I would like a full refund and never ever deal with Sears Home Services again. BEWARE NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY ARE A SCAM..
I needed service for a washing machine and set an appointment with Sears Home Services. They assured me the technician would arrive between 10:00am and 2:00pm. At 12:20pm I received an automated call requesting a call back to reschedule a confirmed appointment.
After escalating through to a supervisor, the answer was always the same "we're sorry, can we reschedule the appointment for tomorrow." Unfortunately, all I can do is warn other consumers not to use this service. Sears Home Services is not who you want to use to repair your equipment!
I've been paying for a service agreement with Sears for 6+ years covering washers and dryers in 2 homes. Rarely needed service. Now that I do need service, I can't get a return call or schedule an appt. Because Sears Service says there's 'no technician' available. Dozens of calls over 3 weeks to Sears Service has been ignored, and when I can find someone to talk to, I'm told there's not technician available. Then I'm told that Sears will just replace the washer, but they provide no details, follow-up, schedule…N OTHING. They just dodge and weave despite the fact that we've paid Sears thousands of dollars to maintain this Service Agreement, and now Sears just seems to ignore its responsibility to provide the service we've paid for.
My first appointment the Tech was supposed to arrive between 8:30AM-12:00PM. The guy Brian H never showed and never called to notify. I scheduled off work to attend. I was pissed! The second appointment the guy was an hour and a half late on a Friday. It was past 6:30. He took 1 look at my dryer and said because the model and S/N were missing he couldn't touch it. The Sears reps and managers have hung up on me multiple times as I have requested a refund. 2 reps stated that I would receive the refund but I still haven't. I am going to post on every website and keep calling until I get my money back for the $49.99 warranty plan.
I had a repair window of 1pm-5pm scheduled today, August 25,2022. I stayed home all afternoon waiting. At 3:10pm I received a text with the tracking for the repairman, it showed would be here by 3:44pm. By 4:20 pm he is not here. I call Sears and they say the appointment is now on August 30th. Apparently the repair guy didn't want to come to my house close to time for him to clock out so Sears just took it upon themselves to move the appointment without contacting me. This is the second time Sears has done this. No wonder they are out of business at the retail level.
Avoid Kenmore an LG refrigerators so you don't end up dealing with Sears repair (a&e is the company's real name). Although, LG is the real scam behind this Immortal business, I'm more disappointed at our own American system allowing these crooks, with the help of an American company (Sears/a&e) taking advantage of Americans in the USA!

I warn everyone do not use this company for appliance repair. I scheduled thru my home warranty company and the tech never showed up. I was told the appointment was 1-5 pm and the tech never showed at 5pm. I called the warranty company who reached out to the tech and the tech said he was on his way so i waited. No tech still and it was 6:06pm. I called the home warranty again that no one showed and they reached out to the tech who told the customer rep he was finishing a job and would be on his way soon. At 7:40 pm i called the warranty company a third time to report the tech no showed and i will not reschedule the appointment and the home warranty company should not contract with Sears home services because they just made them look bad. After reading other reviews i see why the stores are closing.
Starting with our first contact with the Maintenance technician:
He came in and did absolutely nothing with our dryer and charged me for the repair, diagnostic and piece prior to the actual repair of my dryer. He did not open the dryer to assure us that the issue he was assuming it was is the ACTUAL ISSUE.
Second contact was with Customer service that escalated this issue to billing and assured me if things like this continued that Sears would do what was necessary to protect their customers.
Third contact supposed to be the repair between 8am to 12pm. We get NO update from our technician letting us know they will be late. We call and you hang up on us. Time is money and you all have wasted multiple days of our time.
I have been without a refrigerator since May 30th. The repair guy has been to my house 3 times and has done NOTHING but waste my time, and my mother's The first visit he didn't attempt to pull the fridge out, and had my 77 year old mother pour olive oil on the floor to try to move it. The second visit he SUGGESTED to let it run for a couple of days to allow it to get cold. On the 3rd visit he informs me parts need to be ordered and now it won't be until 7/12. How did he not know parts needed to be ordered, after the second visit? I am so angered because I work, and my mother was home with her aide at the time, so I couldn't be there to address this issue. Not only this but the customer service is horrible. I am totally disgusted, frustrated, and appalled by the
Lack of professionalism and just plain consideration Sears has displayed. I can see why it is no longer in business.
