Got the appointment with ease. Received confirmation of appointment. Shane arrived exactly on time and knew exactly how to repair our Bosch dishwasher. Very courteous and efficient. Would recommend Sears Home Services. Gave some good advice to use pods instead of liquid and mid range Bosch dishwashers have excellent quality. This company has really got its act together!
As of today I have been without a working refrigerator for three months. The Sears Home Services Repair Protection Agreement was renewed for this appliance along with a dishwasher on May 7,2024 at a cost of $1,243.59 for three years. The refrigerator compressor failed on June 21 and Sears said no appointments were available until July 16. On July 16 the tech arrived to verify that a compressor was needed. Sears ordered the parts and scheduled repair for August 13. One part was then reported as delayed (but when I checked Amazon it was available for same-day delivery) and Sears pushed the repair back one week to August 20. Even though all parts had arrived on August 20 the tech didn't show up. After finally reaching an actual person at Sears they, without explanation or apology, stated that no tech could come until September 17. Three months without a refrigerator covered by an expensive service agreement. All their customers have similar stories. EDIT -- Here's an update on my review. Finally, on September 17,2024 the refrigerator covered by the Sears Home Services Repair Protection Agreement was repaired. That's 3 months after the first attempt to get it fixed. The reason why it takes so long is that Sears will automatically make you wait three weeks before they will send any tech to your home. They are hoping you will become so desperate that you replace the appliance at your own expense rather than wait for them. Look elsewhere for a Home Repair service. Do not pay Sears for any service contract.
I booked an appointment to fix my dishwasher. They never showed up and there is no way to speak with the dispatch people. Don't waste your time like I did and use somebody who shows up.
So tech came out abd then said he needed to order parts. My washer is a common one. The soonest he could get back was 1 week. After 4 days I get a delivery, had no clue because never informed by tech. He came out a week later spent 20 minutes and said evertthing good. He left his trash and didnt clean up. So about 30 minutes after I decided to wash clothes. He didnt fix it. Icalled back sears. Routed several yimes, hung up, etc... got a field supervisor after 2 hours hold later. Supervisor said hus tech us more important than customer. His tevh us overbook... NEVER AGAIN
Two canceled service appointments by text msg. With a ridiculous policy of waiting for service to show up between 8a and 5p. One cancelation came at 230p in the afternoon on Friday rescheduling on Monday, like people can take time off to wait around for service. Part arrived on previous Monday and a week later still shows in transit. Will not use again!
Made an appointment for snowblower service online, selecting Ariens as the product to be serviced from Sears' options. Received confirmation that my Ariens is maintenance is scheduled. Received another the day before stating my Ariens is to be serviced. Took off from work to be at home for the servicing. I received a call 45 minutes before my scheduled 1pm-5pm window from the technician. "You have an Ariens? We don't service Ariens, sorry". I asked why Ariens was an option on the website. He was aware of that but he didn't know. This is not the recipe to get Sears to be a functioning concern again. Get your act together, people.
They SUCK and need to go Out of Business
They don't care about the customer or their employees
They make it impossible to speak to anyone directly so they don't have to deal with issues.
Do waste your money-go with another company

Diagnostics on Jan. 5th, told multiple parts needing repair on an HE washer only 7 years old. Told to buy a new "basic model" washer (given estimate of $500-$700 for basic model, Whirlpool or Maytag) vs. repairing my higher end washer. Repair cost quoted around $700. Opted to repair, parts ordered, next available technician to repair... 12 days! Waited for appt. For the 17th. Technician came, tinkered around for almost 2 hours, then gave the bad news that the wrong part was ordered, and one of the parts ordered wasn't needed since the original "didn't break when dismantled." Item not needed was taken back, some interesting math was done to refigure new cost of part that was needed. Suddenly, I'm needing to pay an additional $11 (the correct part needed was more expensive). Told I would have to wait for new part to arrive, then wait 10 more days for next available technician! Absolutely horrible customer service support. The part needed should be shipped overnight and a tech made available next-day! This was a Sears error; the customer shouldn't be penalized! Who can you call? No human is ever reached at the Home Services number except when initiating need for a repair. One in their system you're navigated in an ongoing loop of menus ending with either being disconnected or asked to answer a survey. Avoid Sears - go small business!
On November 22 a Technician from Sears came to our Home to repair our washer. But he didn't have the parts and he Order them and UPS says it was Delivered to and Office in the town of Guaynabo and sign by a person name Vasquez.
Then all Hell broke lose! The Technician says he never received the parts! He says that Jose Vasquez has the parts then he said his Supervisor is picking up parts! We haven't to this day done any laundry waiting for our washer to be fixed! This technician name is ( ELLIOT VASQUEZ from the town of Vega Baya. I keep calling Customer service and they keep canceling our appointment! They keep insisting that the technician has the parts and he is on his way to our home. But it's all a lies! Today is December 8 2022 and still waiting for repairs!

My washing machine not working since November 2021. A 3rd party company -Peninsula Appliance Repair (Ph# 650-363- 2334) who represent SEARS to service it.
Replace the parts 2 occassion but still not able to fix it. Poor & untrained technician who doesn't know to fix a washing machine.
Until now, April 2022 called SEARS for replacement since under agreement & contract that if the washing machine cannot be repair SEARS will replace it.
Talked to customer service and every person will give a different version & stories.
SEARS are good only to collect our money but failed to comply their commitment to have a happy & satisfied customer.
Everytime will do our washing to a laundromat we have to spend $90. We have to do it 2-3 times per month. From Nov to April we already spend a lot of money because we are fools believing the false promise.
Avoid to have a business with SEARS or any company under SEARS company & Peninsula Appliance.
Today, decide to buy a new washing machine.
I had an appointment for dishwasher repair. Had 1st appointment canceled by Sears so rescheduled. 2nd appointment canceled by Sears. 3rd appointment technician showed but couldn't fix and needed to return (no problem) Sears has now canceled 2 appointments since. Also they give an arrival time between 0800 and 5:00. They don't contact you until noon to cancel. Dont waste tour time. Goodbye Sears no show.
We are actively exploring ways to enhance our service to ensure that you won't encounter another unfavorable experience. We hope you'll consider giving us another opportunity to serve you better.
On Sunday scheduled a repair of a stove for a soonest Tuesday appointment, the appointment window was 8am-5pm. Took the day off to be home for that wide window. Kept checking the link for the arrival time of the technician. It kept getting pushed back and back until it was after 5 pm and I checked again there was no update on arrival time, the name of the technician disappeared also. Tried calling every single customer service number I could google, they all kept leading to the same exact automated bot answering. Impossible to actually reach a live representative. The technician never showed up, there was zero communication from anyone. Wasted the day on waiting, lost money from taking the day off work, appliance still not repaired. Day 4 without a stove. They called the following day saying the technician got delayed and they can reschedule the appointment for Thursday. Today is Wednesday. No thanks, already called a different company that actually answers the phone with a live agent and has the same day appointments and isn't staffed by Bots. Don't waste your time. There's a reason why Sears isn't around anymore.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Sears for home appliance repair. Use a better, more reliable company.

Bought AC from Sears to install they gave me hard time keep scheduling & changing then 3 month later the system has a problem I have been calling them now for 6 days & they will not give me a date for service first because they are busy then they want me to pay $167 upfront although the system under warranty & we also bought extended warranty they are very rude & totally unprofessional if anyone thinking of buying anything needs service from Sears think again
I called Sears Home Services to schedule a repair on a riding lawn mower I bought from a friend. He had always used Sears Home Services so I called. They gave me an appointment a week away with a 9 am to 5 pm window. I told them I would not be available until 1 pm so they put it in the notes. Got a text that morning—the technician is one stop away and will arrive at 9:42 am. Cancelled my morning appointment and stayed home, only to receive a series of subsequent texts promising the technician's arrival at 10 am, 11 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm — and he was either one stop or two stops away. Got one call from Sears only wanting to give me a "discount" on the mower repair if I bought an overpriced warranty for all the appliances in the house. Finally started calling Sears, only to reach a representative probably in the Philippines for whom English was a second language. On each call the representative was insistent on asking whether I was the homeowner. But he had no helpful information, only said I was still on the schedule. Around 5:30 I got a call from the technician, whose truck was broken down in Grain Valley, about 40 miles from my house. He was willing to come by later (how much later?) but I told him to forget it, and advised him to get a better job. He replied that he planned to retire in two years. Today my mower was repaired by a local guy who charged less for the repair than Sears wanted to charge for the trip here.

I've been a Sears customer for 30+ years. Have purchased most of my major appliances from them. The drop in Sears product and service is breathtaking. To illustrate:
1. Product: After a 26 year old Sears Kenmore refrigerator finally needed replacement, I purchased a Kenmore Elite model in 2018. After 4.5 years of service, the compressor needed to be replaced. I came to find out that the compressor is an LG part, which is notoriously unreliable. After reviewing my warranty, which states "Sears will replace, free of charge, within 5 years of purchase", I scheduled an appointment with Service Home Services.
2. Service: Per Sears, even though the warranty doesn't state labor is excluded, it is implied since the warranty specifies "defective material" as the cause. The Sears technician said the part would be covered under the warranty, but the labor cost would be $578.45. Not great, but I thought okay so let's proceed. Here's the catch: Sears told me it would take 7-10 days to get the part. Absurd! I called a local repairman and had the refrigerator serviced same day.
I won't be doing anymore business with Sears after this debacle.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback regarding your service experience. Your input is invaluable to us, and we genuinely appreciate your willingness to share your thoughts. We are committed to continuously improving our services, and your feedback helps us in this endeavor.
The washing machine is so old but it's under warranty and they cannot get a part for it they've been screwing me around I I would not recommend this warranty for anybody
I scheduled a service for my Kitchen aid refrigerator a week ago for Friday the 29th from 10-2. Recevied a phone call the day before confirming the appointment. Received a text at 5PM stating they were changing the appointment to June 3rd. Meantime I have a leaking freezer. I will not be renewing my Sears Home Warranty. The call center is out sourced to the Philippines. They could care less when I called. I asked for a supervisor and was on hold for 20 minutes before they hung up on me! Do not get the Sears Home Service Warranty! No wonder Sears is out of business!
I have been dealing with Sears for the same repair since January 2021 when I paid in full for a cook top to be replaced. Its almost July 2021 and the work has not been done. They say covid but I have had appts where they where no shows. Can't call a supervisor, they promise one will call you back, that never happens. I have sent emails to *******@searshc no response. They continue to switch you to different departments. It's sad that this company has got this bad I'd rate them less then zero if there was an option. Sears used to be my go to but now if they didn't have my money, I would have canceled this transaction and found a reliable company.

A technician came out to repair our dryer. He took it apart and found the problem. He told us he'd order the parts and when they arrive in 2-3 days he'd come back to install the new parts. The parts arrived in 3 days and 5 MISSED APPOINTMENTS later I still do not have a working dryer. Yes, 5 NO-SHOWS and Sears says they can't do anything about it nor will they reimburse me for the original fee. I took my business to ABT and will never use Sears again. You shouldn't either!
Out of 3 technicians, neither was able to repair a simple washer. They lacked diagnostic skills and they pride themselves on wasting your time. The company is simple a circus show.

Cape Coral: From how many stops to my appointment, it was obvious they kept adding to my tech's schedule and I kept getting pushed out. Chat line said twice tech would call but never happened. Chat line said 3 times my tech would be there by 6 PM, window was 8am to 5pm. Chat line said twice priority notices would be sent. 4th chat I was dumped while keying in issue after 3 minutes. 7:14 pm recv'd text that I was rescheduled out for 4 days. Cancelled it. Unacceptable to have appts added to bump me out when I scheduled the appt 2 wks prior..
We apologize for the unsatisfactory service you received. We take your concerns seriously and will work diligently to ensure this does not happen again.
I purchased a washer dryer combo from Sears with a warranty. My dryer has a burnt smell so I call Sears warranty to address the issue. Sears warranty tells me I only have a warranty on my washer so they decieved me when I got my warranty. Sears now doesn't want to up hold our original agreement. I feel deception on Sears part for not telling me I only had a warranty on my washer only. Sears gave me the run around to address this issue I will nver purchase anything else from Sears. I see why Sears is a 2star organization.
Tip for consumers:
Please be extremely careful when doing business with Sears . If you purchase a washer and dryer get in writing warranty on washer and dryer. Sears will trick you and make you think you have a warranty on both washer and dryer .Sears is a 2star organization please be careful .

I called to set up an appointment to get the belt replaced on our washer/dryer unit. When calling to make the appointment I was clear about the model number, what it was (a stacked unit) and that a belt needed to be replaced. Based on previous experience I wanted to make sure the technician knew so he could make certain he had the part needed and, if additional help was required arrangements would be made. So - of course, the technician showed up (very nice) but without having the information provided. So, had to pay the $89 "estimate" fee to be told I'd have to schedule a follow-up appointment which would probably be another 3 weeks out as he didn't have the part, didn't have an assistant, etc. But had to try and sell me their warranty plan for "only" $49.99 with a $75 deductible covering all appliances. So, basically a $600 per year. I cancelled any further visits and obviously declined their warranty offer. I went on and researched, ordered the part myself online, ordered the replacement part ($7.50) looked at various videos to figure out we could replace it ourselves. Sears Home Services is not the Sears we all knew and grew up with - sold to a company who bought the name. I can't discourage consumers enough NOT to call them.
Worst service experience I have ever had.
Window of service is 8am-5pm, the tracker to update when expected arrival just keeps pushing back the time so you don't get an accurate time.
The first repairman came and charged us $120 to essentially take a hair dryer to a vent filled with ice, left, and the problem was not solved at all.
We rescheduled only for the repairman NOT to show up within the 8am-5pm window. When I called customer service to be refunded since I wasted two days off and $120 they just kept transferring me to a new person.
The last person I spoke to said they would put in a request for a refund. The next day I got an email saying service had been rescheduled. I thought I'd let someone come out so I could speak to someone in person about a refund. The repairman called and said he was an hour away and would likely be charging us $400 so we said don't bother. I had to call and cancel and while on the phone the representative hung up. Needless to say, I'm frustrated and cannot say how much I do NOT recommend this service.

DO NOT USE SEARS HOME SERVICES – My Kenmore Elite microwave oven has been broken for half a year. I have had four service visits with multiple technicians and from my experience it is clear they do not know how to repair the equipment and are simply guessing as to what the cause of the problem is. This company is only in the business of taking your money and hoping the parts they order will actually fix the problem. DO NOT WASTER YOUR MONEY. I highly recommend you find another company with qualified technicians that actually want to fix your problem, not just roll the dice and hope for the best. BUYER BEWARE!
Terrible service! Can't contact anyone in authority to get help. They play the phone run around game. They pass you from one representative to another saying they can't help, but the next person can. Sears Elite LG refrigerator. This refrigerator has been worked on many times. Nice looking high priced refrigerator, but poorly built and engineered. Sears Home Services has the worst service representatives I have ever dealt with. Can not speak English clearly, they only answer questions that are scripted for them. You ask to speak to their supervisor, they will argue with you and put you on hold for long periods of time. The Sears Consumer Advocate is a joke. You can be on hold for hours and then they hang up while you wait. Then you call back and they put you at the back of the phone line and tell you they did it. You can't leave a message for them to return your call. Sears Home Service appears to be a highly engineered company that plans never to meet their obligations. It takes minus a week to get them to come out the first time. The tech then doesn't have the necessary tools to trouble shoot the problem. I had to find a magnetic and loan it to the tech to see if a switch worked. It worked and then he had to leave and go somewhere else. He then called back and said he would return next week. They act like what you see on Saturday Night Live TV show. They have great advertisements on how they will take care of you. Once they have your money say bye bye to any service.
At Sears Home Services, we have local technicians ready to help with your next repair, home improvement or maintenance project. Call or book online today!
We genuinely appreciate your feedback as it helps us identify areas for improvement. We are actively working on improving our service to ensure this doesn't happen in the future.
