Got the appointment with ease. Received confirmation of appointment. Shane arrived exactly on time and knew exactly how to repair our Bosch dishwasher. Very courteous and efficient. Would recommend Sears Home Services. Gave some good advice to use pods instead of liquid and mid range Bosch dishwashers have excellent quality. This company has really got its act together!
As of today I have been without a working refrigerator for three months. The Sears Home Services Repair Protection Agreement was renewed for this appliance along with a dishwasher on May 7,2024 at a cost of $1,243.59 for three years. The refrigerator compressor failed on June 21 and Sears said no appointments were available until July 16. On July 16 the tech arrived to verify that a compressor was needed. Sears ordered the parts and scheduled repair for August 13. One part was then reported as delayed (but when I checked Amazon it was available for same-day delivery) and Sears pushed the repair back one week to August 20. Even though all parts had arrived on August 20 the tech didn't show up. After finally reaching an actual person at Sears they, without explanation or apology, stated that no tech could come until September 17. Three months without a refrigerator covered by an expensive service agreement. All their customers have similar stories. EDIT -- Here's an update on my review. Finally, on September 17,2024 the refrigerator covered by the Sears Home Services Repair Protection Agreement was repaired. That's 3 months after the first attempt to get it fixed. The reason why it takes so long is that Sears will automatically make you wait three weeks before they will send any tech to your home. They are hoping you will become so desperate that you replace the appliance at your own expense rather than wait for them. Look elsewhere for a Home Repair service. Do not pay Sears for any service contract.
My Kitchen Aide freezer and refrigerator is down since January 2022 which is covered under sears maintenance warranty.
Every time I call tp schedule a tech to repair the unit has been a 4 week wait before a technician will arrive.
Incorrect parts are ordered and delivered to my home and again wait for another 4 weeks or so.
This is the worst service one would ever receive from any servicing company?
My family had been without a working freezer/ cooler for almost 6 months and no sign as when it will be repaired.
Please I will never ever purchase sears maintenance agreements and do not recommend anyone to do so.

I've had the worst experience with this place! I needed a annual maintenance check, & after they canceled without telling us, I've waited around for 4 hours 3 different times! No call, nothing! It's been rescheduled 5 times since December & I still haven't had anybody show up!
Technician called 45 minutes after the 4-hour window to say he's late. All calls to schedule appointments, complain, talk to a supervisor, request a refund... etc., go to an off-shore call center. These technicians are not supervised by anyone we can speak to and there is zero control over these idiots. They don't show up... too bad, schedule another appointment. I requested a refund. The nice indian lady at the call center said I will hear from some department in 7-10 days. No confirmation number of my refund request being made. In 10 days, I hope to hear from them. If I never hear anything, I'll have to call back and request another refund and hope for the best. Worst service EVER. Run.
I had a service appointment scheduled for washing machine repair from 10 am to 2 pm. I waited didn't get any sleep after working 12 hours and need to work 12 more tonight and the guy just never showed. I contacted Sears and they said sorry he was sick. No notification. Disgusting
A and e appliance service tech. Worked on refrigerator on sat, nov. 18. He never first gave me an estimate. Charged me $360. Told me he was unable to give me a receipt and sears would send me one in the mail. Still have no receipt ten days later. Refrigerator not repaired and he replaced part least likely to need replacement. Called nov. 19, nov. 20. No appointment available til wed nov. 22. Tech did not show up. Had no refrigerator over the thanksgiving holiday. Finally got someone else to fix fridge. I am going to get a refund no matter how long the process is. If tech arrives in an a and e truck do not let him work on your appliance.
Noticed ice cream getting softer a few days ago. This morning I drank the rest of it then called my Master Protection Plan which cost $492 to cover a Kenmore Elite bottom drawer freezer for 2 years! Had one call on this fridge within 1st year; repair would have been a $800 charge. Now the freezer going bad in year 4. Truthfully, I'm glad I have the warranty because this won't be cheap either, but my low score is because today is Tuesday and 1st available local contractor they can set me up with is on Saturday! Food is thawing as we speak. They may call it first available but this is not emergency service! (When is a refrigerator repair NOT an emergency?!?) At least I can claim up to $300 food loss which is better than nothing. I won't be buying another agreement because it would have been worth more to me than the $500 warranty cost to get a local business to respond same day.
For starters, it took them three times to come and just replace a heating element on our dryer. The technician Gregory put a faulty part in and was extremely rude, leaving my dryer not pushed back in its place so that when my husband came home he had to manually move it. When the second repairman came, he didn't even have the replacement part and made me wait all day and then accidentally sent it to another address. Finally, Gregory came back today and was again rude literally tossing my phone in my face because he didn't want to talk to my husband about the repairs. And even though this dryer has worked perfectly for 15 years, and when he put the new part in it lasted for only two dry cycles, he found a way to blame us somehow for the faulty part.
Add to that, all the calls are screened through other countries with agents who speak very poor English and are not helpful at all. Boy, Sears has really gone down the tubes. Will never use them again!
I've waited 2.5 weeks for them to look at fridge. NO SHOW! Now it's going to be 3 weeks until my new appointment and they didn't even bother to call me, just a new email. No one else will touch a Sears product, so no choice. 6 weeks without a fridge. Who knows how long to fix it after that. Warranty will expire before they finally do something. Worst repair service ever, probably one of the reasons there is no Sears anymore!
My experience with Sears Home Services is extremely poor and I would not recommend that anyone use them in the future. I had a simple dishwasher repair needed, parts were ordered and a day later received an email that the parts were going to be delayed. Mind you, the original repair date from the date of diagnosis was two weeks. After contacting them to cancel the order and refund my monies minus the diagnostic fee, I kept getting the runaround, and was transferred about six times to some call center. Sears has refused to initiate the refund request (and the parts haven't even shipped!) and I am now taking this matter up to the State Attorney General's Office. I would recommend that no one do business with this company.
No wonder Sears Home Repair services under warranty are rated so low. Terrible customer service. You can be on hold for 45+ minutes at a time. Then you get a supervisor who does nothing but tells you that is the next available appointment. I have been rescheduled 3 TIMES now for a refrigerator repair under warranty. Always some excuse. Will never buy sears home protection warranty again!
Terrible company. They have so many disclaimers regarding various items plus they send their rate technicians to your home that do not clean up after themselves. Stay away from them. Don't waste money on them. They are nothing like Sears (old brick and mortar establishment). They many tiers below the venerable service that Sears used to provide.

Do Not Ever Call these people! I stayed home two days in a row from 1:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. waiting for a technician to come repair my dishwasher. The first day he did not show up at all. I simply got an email at 4:30 saying that I needed to reschedule my appointment. I called customer service and they said he was 3 hours behind. I rescheduled for the next day again with a 1:00-5:00 appointment window. This time the technician called me at 5:15 and told me that the earliest he might be able to arrive would be around 6:15 p.m. He then said that he might not be able to make it at all. Sears should just completely shut down. They obviously do not have an adequate number of technicians to properly take care of customers. I will never call them for anything ever again.
No wonder Sears went bankrupt! I tried to schedule an appointment at searshomeservices.com for my Sears garden tractor. That didn't work, but I did get SPAM e-mails from them afterwards, asking me to schedule an appointment. There was no place to e-mail them, because it was a no-reply e-mail address from them. After two phone calls to them (apparently to India), I learned that "they do not service my area." I then asked if they service ANY towns in Oregon such as Portland (over one million metro population). They could not answer that. After more searching at their website, I found numbers for supposed repair stations near me. However, phoning one of those numbers just sent me back to India. If this is how they treat their customers, I CAN NOT trust their merchandise either. Again, no wonder that they went bankrupt!

Set up an appointment for water softener service well over a month ago. Received a call yesterday to confirm tomorrow's appointment. Just received a call today cancelling the appointment because "no technicians are on the area." Earliest reschedule date is 40 days from now. Unacceptable! And then they proceeded to end the call reminding me to use Sears for all my future repair services. Not in this lifetime. Poor Sears and Roebuck of days of old... we sure miss you.
They will not notify you if they cancel, even on the website says my appointment's valid. Hard to get a real person, you have to have another dept to transfer you. I would avoid them at all cost. I missed 2 days work on these people. Im just gonna fix it myself.
I wish I had read the reviews before I used them. The technician fixed my stove but did a preventative maintainance check on my other appliance. In the end he had me sign a no charhe for any item as all was well. After putting dryer together he comes back and states he notices my door signal is cracked and its best to replace, says he has one up the street and will return to replace it. This was Friday it is now Tuesday and I still have no dryer. Called Sears and you get the run around to 3 different people and all they can do is call another technician back out. It is the worst experience and although they said the service call fee would be void I don't believe them. I now have a dryer that doesn't work BUT was working when they got here. Please find someone else to repair your appliances this is not worth the headache or ineptitude you'll have to endure. I gave 1 star but it deserves zero.

This has been the worst shopping experience I have ever had. We ordered a washer/dryer combo unit. It arrived damaged and didn't work. I have been trying to get it replaced for 3 weeks now. 3 weeks without a washer and dryer. They hung up on my husband three times during the process to request a return. Told us two other times that the return was being processed and then never processed it. We still don't have a new unit confirmed. I will not be making any more purchased from Sears or Kmart.
Worse service ever received they sent A&E repair all he did was look on his phone told me parts are unavailable. I asked about diagnostic charge he said he can't do service calls for nothing and left. I called Sears to complained first woman lied to me, said they would refund my money, when I found out the didn't, second person gave me an invalid email address to ask for a refund. Third man gave me corrected email address which was also invalid. Nothing ever refunded, no diagnostic test no satisfaction. This company is terrible.

Waited an entire day for a no-show technician -- although they didn't actually TELL me no one was showing up. An hour and a half after the 9 hour window (!) they quoted, I called to see where the hell the tech was. Was told by someone on another continent that "the technician was not dispatched properly" and I would have to reschedule. This would have been MUCH easier to hear (and deal with) had I been told this 8 hours prior! These guys are a f***ng joke. I will now consider it a personal mission to tell everyone I can what a crap-show Sears is... Kudos Sears!
It's outrageous! They came to my house, used my money to order $800 worth of parts, and then vanished into thin air. Despite their promise to deliver the parts soon, they never arrived. Now, the service date has passed, they have my hard-earned money, and there's no way to contact them. My advice is to steer clear of this company. They're not even Sears, just a bunch of crooks trying to fool people with the name. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable local company.

I have try to pay $100.00, this been going about 3 hours today. Your robot can not understand me, try to talk to an associate but not helpful. My Kenmore has not being repaired. Very bad service and treatment of customers, no matter how apologetic the associates are on the phone. Not people friendly. In all consciousness I can't recommend SearsHomeServices to anyone. The departments have no communication. It has been an all morning ordeal, *******1459 no answer 30 minutes wait. Thank but not thanks.
I purchased Kenmore Elite appliances. Very bad decision. As soon as one year warranty was up the display on my microwave went out. Then there was an issue with the refrigerator 3 times! The compressor blew out and I had to pay the labor only of $332 to have it replaced. 2 years later the compressor blew out again and they charged me $640 just for labor to replace it as the compressor is still under warranty. That is highway robbery! Do not buys Sears appliances or use their service to fix them. Customer service is horrific!
No parts, they tell you they will call you when parts come in. Try to get someone on the phone after waiting an hour and they will send you to someone else only to wind up with the first Dept you called. Save your money and time. Find another warranty company. Sears is not Sears anymore. The absolute worst customer service experience we have ever had. I wish I was exaggerating. It should be criminal how bad this service is.
My ice maker quit making ice on my 5 year old kenmore bottom freezer refrigerator. After diagnosing a frozen valve, the part was replaced, however, it did not fix the problem. However, the valve froze again after making one tray of ice. Sears then replaced a gasket. The problem persisted. After 5 service calls, i gave up and it still does not make ice. I have called about getting a refund however, they only gave me about 50% credit. I don't mind paying the original diagnosis fee, however, i don't believe i should pay for the misdiagnosed part or all the additional tax on labor costs incurred which was about $35. So at this time i am short about $100. I have tried calling the service number and have been disconnected 3 times and have now been placed on hold for over 15 minutes when i asked to speak with a manager. Nothing. Oh and they won't call you back when they disconnect you. Back end service is really bad.
