Bought a Sears band saw about 8 years ago. One of the four blade guides' threaded aluminum barrels stripped out (probably poorly tapped) which rendered the saw useless. Sears Parts said the barrel was unavailable (obsolete). I have machining experience so I turned the barrel 90 degrees and drilled and tapped it with a 10-32 tap which worked fine. But the average consumer would be out of a saw.

Parts not shipped

I'd give a zero if that was a choice. I ordered filters for my sears water filter, they emailed me it was shipped but the tracking number was bogus. I called 20 different numbers with no person ever coming online. They kept sending me a text saying it was shipped. I have no way of getting my filters.
Do not use this site….

I made a purchase a part in Feb of 2021 and the part never ship until late August. The part was "in stock" when I ordered it but went to "back order" status 2 weeks later. I didn't think much of it because normally, legit sites would only charge when the order was shipped. Not with this site. They charged immediately and unknown to me. The part arrived in August after I called them in May to cancel the order (have phone records to prove) and I purchased a new oven instead. Now the part is here but I can't return it nor can I dispute the charge because it's past 6 months. WHAT A SCAM!

There is no way this can be a legitimate business. Even though products are "In Stock", they are NOT! You'll wait forever without an update. Want to call customer service? Forget it! You'll wait on hold endlessly without anyone answering the phone. Absolutely frustrating experience. Go elsewhere!

Do not trust their website
March 22, 2021

Site says product in stock but after receiving payment it's suddenly on back order. ETA is a month after purchase. Refuses to refund shipping charges. I have transcript of them admitting fault. Will be reporting to BBB.

A Scam Parts Site

Consistently I've found parts listed as "In Stock" on their site, placed an order, instantly been charged, and no parts ever ship. When I inquire I'm forced to use an online channel to eventually discover the parts I've paid for are actually NOT in stock despite their having charged me and listing them as being in stock. Extensive attempts at contacting them by phone have eventually lead me to an India call center where I have to fight to get my money credited back to my payment method, which I'm told may take "a week". They charge my credit card the very instant I hit the order button on the bogus parts listings but make getting my funds returned a very laborious and time consuming effort. Am currently awaiting a $166 refund for a non-existent part yet again.

STAY AWAY

What an abomination this so called site and company are! I ordered a control board for an oven and was given a delivery date. The date turned into "back ordered" for sometime in mid July. I spoke with an off shore person who assured me that she had cancelled my request. It has not cancelled nor has my $173 been refunded. Since Monday they claim their systems are down and to call back tomorrow! Don't go near them for a part, it's a scam

Total joke of a company- took my order for a circuit board that was shown as "in stock", lie number one. Immediately upon checking status of order it went to "back ordered". Called to cancel order, sorry, our "system" is down, that was 3 weeks ago. So apparently an on line only supplier cannot correct their only means of doing business! This is fishy, something stinks a lot like a scam, rip-off- I have put my credit card charge in dispute- they won't get a dime of my money, does not matter if the cancel the order or not!
I suggest anyone in same condition do the same!

Permanent delay
November 24, 2020

Going on over 2 months for a part that's had 7 shipping delays and never once did Sears try to do something to fix or offset the lack of service. The best answer I got was from an online chat manager who said they would cancel the order. After 2 months gone, no over for Thanksgiving and not one care about the fact they cant be trusted to give real answers. And when I said that they have the part listing on the website with nice green letters saying In Stock, knowing that's not correct, they said they would take make feedback. Stay away from the site, don't trust them, look anyplace else, and stop giving them money for such sad service.

Bad dishonest service

The web site told me In Stock,
But is on back order without specifics about possible deliver.
Maybe April.
Got the part from local vendor cheaper and fast delivery. My furnace is working now
As of Sears still no money back on my cc
Month later. Stay away!

Misleading Stock Information
September 21, 2022

Be aware that if you search for an item on Sears Parts Direct and it is shown as being in stock, that this may or may not be the case. Some of the items Sears lists as being in stock are actually drop-shipped from a manufacturer's warehouse. I am the parts purchaser for a power equipment dealership and will at times use Sears if the part I need is unavailable through my other channels. Twice I have ordered parts that were showing in stock, only to be notified that they were not available because the manufacturer did not have them. Also be aware that even if you contact Sears via live chat and are told the part is in stock, it does not guarantee the part is actually available. I feel this is a very misleading way of presenting information and have urged Sears to make changes.

I always made the trip to get appliance parts.
Then one day, they are not there anymore!. So I called the number and it seems ALL of them were closed down. This is Houston and in the day there were two Sears PartsDirect outlets. The operator said something like "to better serve customers we closed down all our outlets" ha ha ha what a joke.
What happened was Sears got looted of its assets and distributed to it stockholder(s). They could have turned Sears into a Walmart Amazon type company. I guess it is just easier to stick your fangs into the Sears neck and suck its blood. THEN all the empty stores can be sold to make even a bigger profit..

Dishonest

What a bunch of scammers. Phone sales told me that a part that I needed and found on their site was no longer available and was recommended another part at 3 times the cost. I ordered but later used Chat to check it out. First person Lied. Reordered and had something added to order without my knowledge

I have placed two separate orders, I have not received the parts, they provide no info on their website beyond "in process", tried to get a refund and was told that it could not be issued as it the order was already being processed, but it did not ship even after two weeks. These parts were apparently coming from the manufacturer directly, I then proceeded to place an order with another site, and within 24 hour the parts were on their way, directly from the manufacturer. Something is not right with this business, maybe they are having funds liquidity issues, delays in paying their suppliers, but regardless, not reliable at all.

Fake company

The part that showed 'in stock' was back ordered 5 times until I called to cancel the order and tried to get a refund. No refund yet. Everyone I talked to has been from India and I think this is more than likely a scam site. Regardless, bad business practices (be warned they are not BBB certified)

Sears Parts Direct 'chat' doesn't allow chatting.

I tried to use their 'Click to Chat' link to try and get a refund on a part. No matter what responses you choose for the questions they ask about what you want to contact them about, you end up at a window that you can only do one of two things:
1. Get information on your order status; or
2. Update your water filter subscription.

There is no way to actually chat with someone so I ended up having to call.

Simple transaction costing so much time to waste. Ordered parts, but were not delivered on time, called to check what is happening, after 4 calls, 1 chat and over 4 hours later can't get any explanations why my order was not delivered as promised and wen it will be delivered... just wow...

Don't believe them!

Order from Amazon or any there parts store. You may "Pay" when you purchase for priority shipping... but it won't ship for another 7 days probably... and you will probably get it 10 -14 days later.

What a piece of #$# sear parts direct is... GUESS thats why sears is going under... won't be in business very much longer

I learned the hard way that Sears partsdirect falsely lists parts as "in stock" when, in fact, all they do is order the part from the manufacturer when you place your order. However, they will continue to assure you that your part is in stock while they string you along for an indefinite period of time while they try to obtain it. I was lucky enough to get someone on chat that explained their scam in detail. So, they are more expensive than most sites and completely unreliable. STAY AWAY!

Part never shipped
September 24, 2021

My 5 year old Kenmore water heater went out. It is the gas valve. My plumber placed the order on Monday it was supposed to be delivered yesterday. After speaking with 4 customer service reps, it has never shopped and they don't know when it will. After being without hot water for a week I ordered another water heater and it us not a Kenmore. No wonder your business is failing you suck.
