Stop The Stress
July 21, 2021

Where is the "0" Stars on this thing. Three weeks later after being double charged for the wrong part and being told the second charge would fall off after 8 days on June 23rd, I checked back yesterday after dealing with work and life only to find it did not fall off. I called Sears Direct yesterday to get this corrected and also to get a refund for the wrong part which was sent since I noticed an email saying my part was on backorder. The rep informed me he canceled the second order made by their system and would send me a label to return the part I received but I would pay shipping. NOT! I said,, One of your reps told me what part to order and gave me the part number to order it online since their system was down. After he got smart with me stating I placed the order online him repeating it three times and me raising my voice in frustration he agreed to send me a label to return the incorrect item and waived the shipping fee. I woke this morning to an email stating they shipped the second order which should not have gone through. Now I need to call them again to get another repeating rep while waiting days if not months to get a refund. I WILL NEVER, I USUALLY DON'T SAY NEVER.
BUT I WILL NEVER ORDER ANOTHER KENMORE NOR A PART FROM SEARSDIRECT AGAIN, NEVER EVER, EVER! Where is that "0" rating when you need it.

At the end of June 2020, I ordered a part for our refrigerator, a common glass shelf. I did this over the internet and from the microscopic little pictures on the screen thought it was the correct item. In August, it arrived and was the wrong part. I called customer service and together, we ordered the proper part based on the model number of the refrigerator and other information that the representative wanted.

Near the end of August, I was told the part was backordered and would not be in until November. The house is a vacation house and we were due to leave in September. We arranged with our caretaker to look out for it.

In November, I was told that the part would not be in until December, and in December, was told it would be in around January 4th. On January 18th, it apparently was delivered to the house in Maine and left on the porch. This being a vacation house, nobody was around and the caretaker happened to go over the next day and found it.

He tried to install it and found that it was simply a piece of glass, where a whole shelf had been ordered. None of the plastic side or the metal front were on this piece of glass. Again I called searspartsdirect and after about 45 minutes and two phone calls, listening to a male voice explaining every 30 seconds that they were very busy, I finally was able to get a return ticket mailed to my caretaker and will then hopefully get a refund in the next month or so.

Sears Parts Direct needs to get a little better organized. Waiting this long, getting the wrong part twice, and having to go through this long-distance with my caretaker is unacceptable. More unacceptable are the long hold times and obnoxious music that all companies think I want to hear. It should not take an hour to quote an order number and get a refund.

The refrigerator will get a wooden shelf and we will NEVER get near that brand again.

Runaround

I ordered a refrigerator power cord from them, and it was supposed to arrive later that week, but it never arrived. I kept calling their customer service and always got the same response: "sorry about that, it should come in... (usually in a week's time), by the way, would you like to sign up for a water heater subscription?" - and then it wouldn't show up; rinse and repeat. Finally, about 1 month later, one of their service people tells me "It's on back-order and we don't know when it will be available again. Instead, what I will do is cancel the order and refund your money, then I will have you purchase a different power cord which is still compatible (I did this, and that part did come in and work). About 1 month after this, 2 months after I originally order the part, the original part arrived, and I realize they never cancelled the order, like they said, nor did they give me a refund, like they said. Now I have to deal with this stupidity all over again because they are giving me a hard time trying to return it (I can't get anyone on the phone), they want me to pay $10 to return the part they were never supposed to send out, and they have a policy which states that returns will be accepted up to 60 days after the order date, meaning I don't even know if I can return because they took 2 months to process the order (mind you, I never got any kind of notification or tracking update; it just showed up at my doorstep without warning)! I have opened up a dispute to my credit card company (Thank God, I bought it with my credit card!), so let's hope it goes well!

In short, DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, AND THE ONLY REASON WHY I GAVE IT A 1 STAR OUT OF 5, IS BECAUSE I CAN'T GIVE IT A 0!

On June 22, I ordered parts for my washing machine. The system said they were in stock. A few days later, I had not received an order confirmation so I called. I was told there system was down and they could not look up any information. The system had been down for two weeks and they were working to get it back up. I understood there was a problem so I was trying to be patient. On about June 30, I called and canceled the order. They assured me that the part order would be canceled and not to worry. On July 2, I got an email confirmation concerning my order and again called to cancel the order. I was assured that the order would be canceled and not to worry. Three days later the parts showed up at my house. I had already purchased a new washing machine and gotten rid of the old machine. When the parts arrived, I again called to return the order and was given a link to print a return label for UPS. I had two pkgs and was told to just put the same UPS label on both orders. I took the pkg down to UPS and they would not take the pkg because the label said 6 lbs and the pkg was 13 lbs. I went back to Sears and they sent me another link. It said the same thing and I knew the local UPS store would not take it. I again tried to call Sears and the lines were so busy that I got online and chatted with someone. I told them the problem and they sent me a link. I was told to put the label on the one box, put the other items in the box and just leave it at a UPS store. I did that and waited for my refund. It never came. I called and was told they would give me a refund and while on the line saw them credit my card for the 300 purchase. I did not think anything about it until my statement came and the charge was not credited. Sears did a provisional credit but did not approve it and it never went through. I called my credit card company and was told that sears could not track my return because they didn't have a tracking number. I then called Sears back and asked to speak to a supervisor. Of course they were not available and was told they would call me back sometime today. I am not going to hold my breath.
From talking to friends, this is not the first time they have done this. NEVER AGAIN ORDER ANYTHING FROM SEARSPARTSDIRECT.COM.

Honestly, my experience with this company has been by far the WORST experience EVER dealing with any company. I called the phone rep and gave them the part # I was looking for. They didn't have the exact part number but assumed a different part was the same as the one I had asked and they sent me the wrong part.

So to be clear, I PAID for something I thought I had asked for, and they sent me something totally DIFFERENT than what I had asked AND paid for. After receiving the wrong part, I had a repair guy come and install it for $100 just to have him come back a few days later and tell me the part they sent was wrong.

So fast forward to the worst part, I called back Searspartsdirect.com and had to speak to 3 different representatives, all of them tried to tell me it was MY fault and that their database system said it was the same part. They not only tried to accuse me of being wrong, but tried to tell me the part that they sent me was fine. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had dealing with customer service and they don't even deserve a 1 star rating. The rep I spoke with was Genie and her is ID: *******. Don't ever deal with this company, after reading the other reviews, Sears PartsDirect is willing to send you the wrong part and charge you for something you didn't pay for, place an order for you then cancel it later without telling you, and straight up just stealing your money.

To top it off, after having my order placed, I checked the website to see the status of my order only to find they reduced the price of my part $20 since I placed my order a day ago, so I used their chat rep feature and a guy named Soloman said he would refund me the difference of the price and NEVER EVEN FOLLOWED UP on the price adjustment. Total lie and scam on these guys at Sears PartsDirect. DON'T DEAL BUSINESS WITH THEM, and if you do, MAKE SURE IT'S THE EXACT PART and not some part they say will work even though it doesn't match up.

BE AWARE I don't usually do reviews but Searspartsdirect needs to improve their service is unacceptable their non-compliance and irresponsibility in the delivery of the product. In June 27, I ordered a part for my washing machine and received an email with the confirmation # of my order which indicated that it would arrive approximately on July 6, after two days of not receiving the part in July 8, I called customer service and I was informed that they do not understand what happened that the part was ready for ups since June 29 to be sent but it has not sent yet. The lady informed me because the part is still with them she would process a new order for me without any additional charge of what Sears Parts Direct had already charged me in June 27, $208.73 the same day I received a new email with a new confirmation # and the new arrival date July 17. This morning around 8:30 am I called customer service to make sure that I will receive my order today since I have not received any information from Searspartsdirect but the status was the same: order ready for ups Alberto from customer service in Spanish far from helping told me that I should call ups to find out and I say why we have to do something that is their responsibility if I already paid to Searspartsdirect for the part is their responsibility to respond and attend the matter and give customers answers no job to do I asked to speak to a supervisor and Alberto told me that he's not able to transfer me to any supervisor but he assured that one would call me in an hour. Is already 12pm 4 hours later and no searspartsdirect supervisor has contacted me about it.
And lastly, when I realized their incompetence I asked for the refund of my money and it turns out that they can take the money from your account immediately when you make the order even though they have not sent the product but cannot refund in the same way. Now I have to wait for 7 to 10 days for my money to be returned this is ridiculous.
SEARSPARTSDIRECT SHOULD BE SANCTIONED FOR NON-COMPLIANCE.

Ordered a part *******@searspartsdirect. Old company good reputation. Also old part - not made anymore, can't believe they have one. Call up to check. Yes we have several here. Great, yes please. You'll have it Tuesday. Tuesday no part. Called Friday. Oh, it's on back order from the manufacturer. Manufacturer out of business 20 or 30 years. We'll look into it and call you Sunday. Yes we do work Sundays. Following Friday: you didn't call me. Please cancel and refund. Anything else? Yes, you lied to me! And all you give me is attitude? Sorry for how you feel but we don't have an attitude. You just ordered wrong.
