Ordered a chair on 12/18 I followed up first of January and they said it was shipping out. Now it is almost February and no chair. The communication has been non existent. Finally they told me it was back ordered. I cancelled the order 10 days ago and still haven't received a refund. Very bad experience!
I never got an order invoice - and so after looking online I decided to cancel. 11/21/24 cancellation. They just replied consider it cancelled - money back to credit card within 7-9 business days. I filed with credit card company after that time passed. They told me to call company. You can't reach a human being.
Just through email - now in december - they say that they can't stop the order now - it's being shipped. Over a week later - it's being shipped and then they file with credit card company that sale is complete and that i never cancelled order (even though my email from them clearly states that I did).
They just force a sale upon you. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. They know how to play the shipping / delay game and don't provide all the details required by the cc company to get your money back. So you could end up with a box of rocks - no one is on your side. They are not reputable by any means.

I wish I had looked at reviews prior to placing my order. Like others have said after order is placed the company did not send out a shipment notification. I reached out to the company asking if I would have the chair before Christmas. I was told they understood and the chair would ship with urgency. A week later no shipment notification. When I inquired again I was told it would ship at the end of the month. I requested that the order be cancelled which they agreed to do. I ended up having to file a dispute with PayPal (payment method) to get my refund. They take your money, never send the item and you have to file a dispute to get your money back. They sit on your money until they are forced to refund it by your payment method.
Buyer BEWARE! I ordered a chair in mid October 2024. Never received it. My ETA on delivery was delayed multipile times, then I became suspicious. I cancelled order, no refund was issued. I have tried calling company, sending emails, there is no response.
This company has continuously told me that my order placed in January 2024 will ship out "next week" or 'soon' etc. The customer service rep refuses to send me to his manager after multiple requests and has yet to offer a discount for their delays. We paid $8 for chairs we haven't received yet and no one answers when you call customer service.
I received a chair with the wheels COVERED in oil. When I asked customer service for help they stopped responding to me. Not a quality company who stands behind their product. Attached are the oils stains left on my carpet striaight out of the box.
These ppl are the worst! First of all their website is very misleading! A friend of mine ordered a chair thinking it was new but it's actually used/refurbished. It didn't say anything on the top. We only saw that it's refurbished at the very bottom where ppl can easily miss it. And their customer service is a joke.
If used chair is what you want, check Craigslist, Ebay, or FB market place where you can physically see the product before paying for it.
The cylinder on my chair is defective. I'll set the chair at the desired height and within 30 minutes the chair has sunk to the lowest setting. Seatingmind will not let me return the chair without a thirty minute video showing the sinking. Terrible customer service. Very disappointed. When paying $600 for a chair, you expect it not to have functional defects and now the burden of proof is on me? Go elsewhere!
I ordered 10 chairs for my office and one of the chairs was faulty on arrival. I called and e mailed and finally they told me to send a video which they did not respond to. I called and e mailed repeatedly with no response. I would not order from them ever again.
I purchased a Herman Miller Chair from Seating Mind. The chair arrived with a defective lumbar support. I notified the company and they offered to send a replacement part which I would have to install myself. I am a 72 year old woman without the ability to do that. I chose to return the chair and they are charging me a 20% restocking fee to restock a defective chair. Do not do business with this company.
HORRIFIC! Please do not order from this company! We purchased a NEW office chair not a refurbished chair, and they sent us not only a used chair but a damaged chair that was absolutely filthy with hair and some other substance all over it. They are charging a restocking fee to have me return their damaged chair. I also have to pay to have UPS pick it up because the chair is too big to put in my large SUV. The customer service was rude and unresponsive. Do NOT buy from them!
I wish I could give them a worse rating. They falsely advertised a chair I purchased as new, unused, over purchased stock from a company during covid. The chair they sent was heavily used, the armrest looked as if a dog had chewed on it for a year. The base had freshly painted silver spray paint that rubbed off on my hands and clothes. The upgraded casters I paid extra for, were completely missing. I immediately reached out to the company to let them know I needed to reject the delivery (which they wouldn't answer their phones), so had to email. I received an email reply 3 days later asking if i'd just keep the chair for a discount. I told them no, that I it wasn't the chair advertised and needed to be returned for a full refund. It took them almost 2 weeks before they sent me a return label, for which they are charging me to have UPS pick it up from my location. These guys are a loser company — stay clear of them! My next stop is BBB.
I received this "Knoll" chair with extremely sharp screws embedded throughout the armrest of the chair. It easily punctures through every time you put your hand over the armrest and caused my finger to bleed. Please be aware.
Once you send these folks money, they are impossible to get a hold of. If you call, they say they will get back to you within 1 business day - that does NOT happen. I've been waiting over a month to get some assistance with a purchase I made from them and they simply don't get in touch! So frustrating!
We received a chair that had bad hydraulics and from the day 1 it sank every time I sat in it. Customer service line never picked up and my husband left several messages over the course of six months. I myself left two voice messages for their customer service line. Finally, I emailed them and the response was "we don't know why your chair smells and since you waited so long to tell us, we can't help you". Note, I said the chair "sinks". This is the WORST chair and the WORST customer service ever. Now we are stuck with a lemon. DO NOT BUY from this company.
I ordered some chairs from them. They were supposed to be all black and one came with a light grey seat so I contacted the via email since they have no way to call. They said they were sending out the correct seat but it would take a couple weeks to get there. Upon arriving 4 weeks later. It was the wrong color again. They said it was now past the 30 day return policy and they are not going to do anything else to redo the problem. They said we sent a seat that's all we are going to do. Would never use this business and would recommend it to anyone. The customer service is a joke and they don't seem to care that I spent $1200 and it's the wrong chair. Run from this company and find a reputable vendor.

After purchasing a chair July 31,2020 I was informed August, 31,2020 that the order would be prepared for expedited shipping by the end of the following week, almost 30 business days since my order.
Customer service will respond within 48 hours but their responses are often inconsistent, misleading and divisive. 5 star rating for visibility.
Per my previous review, I mentioned I would strongly consider ordering office furniture from seatingmind.com. They did not disappoint this frequent flyer! Our organization has grown, and we were in need of a new reception desk office chair. The boss appreciates high quality, and I appreciate an opportunity to save a little money where we can, while still maintaining that standard. Found a GREAT refurbished Herman Miller chair that was absolutely perfect for the space and added a touch of class to our reception area. I love it and again highly recommend seatingmind!
After a very lengthy wait I received my chair. It is Dirty and Broken. It came in multiple pieces - Wheel Base - hydraulic cylinder lift - chair seat - pieces from bottom of the chair were coming off - chair back was in 2 pieces. I don't recall "Assembly required" being on the website. Not only that it was Dirty. Very disappointed. I'm sorry I purchased from this company.
Impossible reviews. This site must be a scam too. All I can find are complaints and negative reviews of Seating Mind. The company is known for damaged goods and non-delivery of orders, refusal to cancel or give refunds even within 2 hours of placing order. Customer service is non-existent. Seating Mind is no longer authorized to do business per Department of Treasury. Check out Better Business rating and review.

Answer: This company may be legit, but from the research I have done online after my purchase experience with them, they totally scam people with their outrageous "restocking fee" policy.
Answer: Prices. But you're getting used stuff in god-only-knows condition. Stick with garage sales. These guys are shady. Beware.
