I put 5 star to warn people who think the 5 stars maybe genuine. There not. Everyone gets ripped off, just look at the reviews. While its being serviced you get a call from a London number telling you that you must have the brake fluid changed the engine flushed to clear the carbon build up? Oil has to be a 'special' oil etc etc. They want hundreds of pounds more with an underlying threat that you won't get your car back if it isn't done. Meanwhile the garage servicing the car have absolutely no idea what is going on. It's daylight robbery and should be stopped.
Having been pressured into paying for work to be done to my car after failing the MOT and service I booked with servicing plop, (I was told it was too dangerous to move from the forecourt), I paid £1700. Turns out that the majority of work I was charged for did not take place. An independent mechanic checked it over for me and took photos. I paid this much basically for 2 tyres! I've reported them to trading standards and will take them to court for theft if my refund is not processed within 7 days
This Booking Service is flawed and in my experience failing. My booking was confirmed then the car collection aspect cancelled, when offered driveway parking for the service agents vehicle, the date booked for the service changed the afternoon before it was due to be carried out. 12 minutes telephone hold to get through to customer service where a pleasant woman tried to validate their actions, I cancelled and will now rebook directly with our local Audi garage.
Service stop is a scam took my car wouldn't return till gave £700. For a service which was meant to be £160 do not use try saying car needs special oil.
Free collection of car still even that a lie charged me £20 vat just on collection

Been in dispute with them and had the call recording script. I never asked for oil or brake fluid, only two services which would have cost £400. As I know nothing about cars, the quote came to £700. I was told I would get a link via text to pay...then came with no break down of services. I paid. Later I went to my emails and saw the extra services I did not request. BUT because the agent mentioned brake fluid would last two years...the only mention if brake fluid on the call...they believe I approved this... taking this case further
This is one of the worst companies in the whole of UK. They never tell what time the car will be ready. If you use them then be prepared to have no car for at least 2 weeks or more. I so close to reporting them to the relevant agencies for not even telling me what's happening. I actually thinking that the car has been stolen.
Never again. Worst ever don't even need to be rated as they are lower than 1 star.
Called twice in advance of service to make sure I am warned or extra costs. Almost £40 added to bill, no warning just an email saying I'd approved it. 2 hrs out of 3 on hold when I wanted to complain. Nothing but contemptuous and cynical when I did complain.

The car is in a very dirty condition, with bird poo all over. Drivers mat is equally very dirty. Dirtier than in the condition I gave it ou.
I lifted the bonnet / hood of the car and its worse. The engine cover has not been fitted with the screws with the engine cooling cap left off and pipe left hanging leaking out.
I can not express my disappointment enough.

Awful customer service, report to trading standards, after spending hours on the phone the guy refused to tell me the location were my car is being service. Please avoid at all cost it's not worth the headache, unreachable, rude staff overpriced charges.
This is a scam company, which tricks you in with cheap MOT and servicing offer, but then charges you between double and quadruple for repairs and don't even do the work properly. Returned my car with a scratch and a check engine light on. They are shamelessly exploiting vulnerable people in this cost of living crisis.

I had my car booked in for service this morning. No one called, no one came, promised everything, nothing happened. I wished I had seen the reviews earlier! I should have know something was wrong when the reviews on their site only go up to 2021! Cancelled!
I have emailed trading standards and business watch dog! There are thousands upon thousands of complaints. I'll be a dog with a bone on this one.
Why didn't I just take it into a garage myself? I will be asking myself as I pay off this bill.
I get a call trying to give me a £1300 invoice for various works. One of which was hundreds for a belt change (changed earlier this year for £50). So I say just get it though the mot. They have the car now and I'm at work so what can I do? So the bill comes down to a total of £950.
Gets taken back, give it a test drive and hear scraping, they took it back and must have heard it too. Found out from utube it could be brake pad guard resting on it, which it was.
Loads of welding on the exhaust was paid for yet a gummy patch I did on there was untouched! What did I actually pay for? We'll never know.
I phoned the garage for a moan and they moaned about S Stop themselves. I could go on, I know I've been milked and it's my fault.
Why? I didn't listen to the reviews.

Do not use this company! This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had when getting my car serviced.
It seemed like I was booking a cheap service but after my car arrived at the garage I was told that in order to sign my service book as having had a full service I would have to pay for extras including specialist oil and brake fluid. They wanted me to pay £400 in total just to service my fiat 500, this is considerably more than I have ever paid at the actual fiat garage.
I think they saw that I am a fiat 500 driver and a female and thought they could rip me off.
And on top of this when I declined the extra work, they stopped answering my phone calls and hung up the phone when I got to the front of the queue. They ended up not returning my car until the following day even though I had told them I urgently needed my car for work and I ended up having to cancel important work meetings.
Absolutely appalling service and I will definitely not be using them again!
My car was booked for a full service and paid in full. After collecting the car I was contacted from multiple ends demanding more money and a list of jobs The car needs. And threatened that the car would not be released until I paid. I had urgent hospital appointment the next morning so I had to pay around 46 pounds extra just for releasing the car. They have done something that the fairly new BMW with ******* miles on the clock doesn't feel right now. I requested them for an itinerary of work they have done. So far no response. I would dread going through such cowboys. Please please keep away from these cronies

I'm so annoyed and feel really stupid.
My service and MOT cost £710. Their prices for minimal work are so inflated it is actually ridiculous. For instance I paid £182.88 for them to fit a budget tyre to my vehicle that retails for £60 online. What the hell?!
Please do not go near this company,I was totally overcharged for work done, like most people in here I was held to ransom to pay a massive overcharge. Told my car could not be driven so couldn't have it back till work done. At least $#*! Turpin wore a mask.
I am so annoyed that a firm like this is allowed to trade service and mot quoted £132.00 bill ended up £178.00 and mot failure wanted me to pay another £140.00 to adjust handbrake and headlights. They will also refuse to return you're car until you pay bully boy tactics trading standards should do something about a company like this. Also the police, as you should not be allowed to refuse to return someons property until you pay them without you having had the chance to check the work carried out.
I fell for this company's marketing deception and paid in advance, only to receive an invoice of more than £1100 after few hours of MOT and Full service. This an outright scam and I regret ever doing business with this company. What is more frustrating is that you cant communicate with them to raise concerns. I booked a service and mot for £116 then got a call asking for payment of £385 stating my car needs a special oil and brake fluid! Contacted the garage direct and was told the company is a scam and they can't wait to get out of contract with them! Servicing stop sent me an invoice! Refused to release my car and nobody answers the phone! The garage in the end helped me by closing the job their end stating no work carried out! The invoice still came to £164 despite no work being carried out and the initial quote being £116! I have reported them to trading standards and I am pursuing a case against them in civil court as I come from a family of lawyers and this organisation needs stopping! Do not go anywhere near them! Ever! Fraud alert
Scam artists. Do not use. MOT and service £170. Called me up said I needed special oil at £25 then listed other items that were needed for a service, told him where to go. Called me to say the van had failed its MOT and it needed £249 worth of work doing. The vans come back no MOT certificate left, no service stamp and no receipt for work.
On the DVLA website still showing vans got no MOT so o called them up, spoke to a Dan who said it's showing as passed as he has the page open! Just looked again and showing no MOT, blatant lies! Never use this company!
Avoid this company like the plague - total con! They offer a competitive service quote but it's all downhill from there! They claimed my car needed repairs of almost £800. I questioned this and the person I was speaking to became flippant, claiming I would be putting the return driver at risk by not authorising the repairs! I was also told I would have to pay an extra 24.99 for 'specialist oil' otherwise the car would not be returned! They also claimed I had authorised this - I had not. The man who returned the car said he put ordinary synthetic oil in the car - so the company lied. This final extra cost was 46.77. I tried ringing to question this final amount but I was on constant hold and I gave up after some 40 minutes. I will be contacting trading standards.
Very bad experience. Faults occurred after servicing and no response from the company. Not by phone, emails or social media. They are very quick to take your car, take your money, but the quality is very poor. Customer service is definitely very poor after they take your money.
Furthermore - absolutely impossible to get in touch with.
Nevertheless, I must admit they have good online systems set up and the speed of service is good.
However, I will be avoiding them in the future and would NOT recommend it to anyone.
Look at the state of my undertray from a so called professional service. Unbelievable. Poor Collection service. No contact from advisor until they want extra payment and add ons. ( Total bull#### sales pitch/advice.). They have my Car from 8:30 - 18:30 and that's how they managed to get to the sump plug.
I wish I had seen the reviews on here before booking. Charged £39 for a windscreen wiper. Charged double price originally should have been and didn't even change the air filter on my service - avoid like the plague:-(
Have used them before but stopped due to high charges with no evidence the work was needed. This time I was desperate for an MoT as it had run out. Then no one turned up and When I phoned the garage pretended they couldn't find me.
I wouldn't even give 1 star (but not an option). Absolutely disgraceful. I wish I had read these reviews and not their own website reviews prior to booking. Professional looking site and offered good priced service. I booked to take out the hassle of messing around but it has caused more issues. Poor customer service and communications, just turn up and take your car off whenever they feel like it, to god knows where. Service today £85 and then emailed quoting £300+ work that needed carrying out, used bully boy tactics, refused to allow return of car until work was carried out. In the end I only got an additional £65 for specialist oil and refused rest of work to be carried out and stuck to our guns. Managed to get name of garage etc. but no paperwork or proof of service or work done, and book not stamped and car oil looks same. Reported to trading standards. Avoid at all costs if thinking of using these scammers! Wish we had!
Picked up my car Friday 1st 9am meant to be back 4-6pm same day for interim service only. Car has vanished. No one will answer my calls emails and heard nothing from the garage I don't even know what garage it's at. Reported to the police now Saturday afternoon and now missing work- I'm self employed live alone.

Servicing Stop was founded in 2008, by brothers Oly Richmond and Toby Richmond. Their business plan took advantage of a 2003 change of law by the European Commision called the Block Exemption Regulation. This meant that vehicle services of different brands of car could now be carried out by independent garages as well as garages contracted to the branded dealerships and manufacturers.
In 2009, Servicing Stop featured on the BBC television programme Dragons Den where the company directors attempted to secure additional investment into the company. Despite receiving offers from three of the Dragons (Peter Jones, James Caan and Deborah Meaden), the brothers ultimately decided to continue the development of the business independently.
