This company does not typically respond to reviews
I put 5 star to warn people who think the 5 stars maybe genuine. There not. Everyone gets ripped off, just look at the reviews. While its being serviced you get a call from a London number telling you that you must have the brake fluid changed the engine flushed to clear the carbon build up? Oil has to be a 'special' oil etc etc. They want hundreds of pounds more with an underlying threat that you won't get your car back if it isn't done. Meanwhile the garage servicing the car have absolutely no idea what is going on. It's daylight robbery and should be stopped.
Having been pressured into paying for work to be done to my car after failing the MOT and service I booked with servicing plop, (I was told it was too dangerous to move from the forecourt), I paid £1700. Turns out that the majority of work I was charged for did not take place. An independent mechanic checked it over for me and took photos. I paid this much basically for 2 tyres! I've reported them to trading standards and will take them to court for theft if my refund is not processed within 7 days
Do NOT use this garage at all!
Most unreliable service I've ever seen. Booked my MOT for last week with collection. They called me to rebook it for another day, I agreed. Next time they didn't even call me at all, just not turn up. Then rebooked after I called... Next week they took my car and made me an unrealistic qoute for £1000! I asked others in the area and they quoted me half of it with urgent service.
I asked them to bring my car back (still had to pay for their "service") and they declined, just told that they will bring it back at the end of the day. Without any reason.
Last year they also quoted me 3 times then the normal price and didn't get my car back even on the same day. I had to call the police and only get my car back another day. Without my permission or even call me to explain.
To get the details of the garage and the supervisory body's contact details took me hours! The customer service is just a parrot, repeats the same sentences, never answer to my questions.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid at all costs!

Car service
Servicing Stop quotes and advertising are VERY misleading. I was quoted £145 for a service & MoT on a Ford B-max. This was confirmed over the phone as "the total, final price" by the woman who called me 2 days before my service & MoT expiry (to tell me they couldn't do it on the date I had booked 4 weeks before). Apparently the B-Max uses "special" oil, so £25 was added to the bill. Why wasn't this known about when I was quoted originally? They knew my registration so could have added this figure into the quote. Their headline figure also doesn't include an "environmental surcharge fee", so my quote of £145 became a final bill of £192. That feels dishonest to me. My car required nothing beyond the service and MoT, yet the final bill was over 30% more expensive! Whilst they had my car the also tried to sell me other things it didn't need, so all-in-all I'm very dissatisfied! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My local Ford dealership would have been about the same cost.
I booked a servicing 2 weeks ago and paid up front for the vehicle to be collected this morning between 8am and 10am. I took time off work for this. Vehicle had still not been collected by 11.15 I tried to call to be advised you need to go online chat to contact them so I did to be advised that the service had been cancelled yesterday because they didn't have a garage in my area to carry it out. They advised I had been contacted and left a message. I didn't have any such message left. I have now been told that it will take between 7 and 14 days for to be given a refund. Not acceptable at all! So as well as taking a days holiday I am now out of pocket for another 2 weeks.
Don't usually write a post like this, but need to warn others … do not use this company to service your car despite being tempted that some one collects and drops back. It's a bloomin awful con!

Servicing Stop
Terrible company and experience
First they cancelled my service less than 24 hours before and re booked 3 days later … you can't speak to anyone just get a chat box. When my MOT was done an extremely rude man called Gary called to tell me I needed £500 of work, but I soon realised that my car had passed MOT so it did not need it, it was advised … but prices extortionate. Then car couldn't be released by garage as they hadn't confirmed I paid … I was waiting for the chat box for half the afternoon and then Kayla was abrupt didn't even sign off … she was the only point of contact… seriously worst company ever… pls think twice before going near them
Phone service stop £101 88p they pick my car up. The man said service stop will phone you any problems. They phone me about 2am said they are doing the service. Price is £555, I said I'm paid up front £101.88p they said no the service is a extra £555 I had to pay to get my car back. In the end I paid. 30 mins later they phone again said the warning light what was on needed doing a extra £425 I was pissed of about this. They said my car would be excellent after the work., I wanted my car back so I had to paid. Best thing to man come with my car said the lights come on again, you still got the problem. It will be more work to do. I was that pissed off told him to do one. I phone service stop they wouldn't pick you phone up after 45 mins, I email them but no reply big rip off. Don't go with this company save your money
The price was double to that charged by my local garage. They managed to submit a fake review as well on trustpilot which I only spotted when I received a thanks-for-your-review email

Servicing and mot
Absolutely the worst customer service. No one came to collect my car and it took 40 minutes waiting on the phone for my call to be answered by Servicing Stop. They said the garage allocated couldn't collect today and to rebook. Not a chance was I wasting another day waiting for no one. I asked why I hadn't been called to tell me they couldn't come and she just said it was "unfortunate". They wouldn't tell me which garage it was so I could avoid them when booking directly with garages in my area. Do not use!
I booked mot service in pay on line 91£ after told my mot failed missing cloo in tyre blood missing in place number and diagnostic 498 £ I refuse ask them bring me my car told you need to pay 283 £ I accepted do nothing in car for 24hours mot fail pay 385£ horrible company too expensive i take car Nissan company
Sent my car in with the engine and abs light on. Spent £500 for it to be returned with both lights still on. Wrote a compliment that has been ignored. Did you actually do anything to my car? Because it feels like you took my money and ran. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. COMPLETE RIP OFF!
Call after call after call, they were finding new small things to repair in the car in order to pass the MOT. My car never had a problem to pass the MOT before, and suddenly I had to spend more than £600 in small repairs. They play with the fact that you are trapped and need to pass the MOT and have your car back, to get more and more money from you for small repairs that you could do yourself. Never again. Putos estafadores
Tip for consumers:
Avoid. Do not trust them
Once the car had been collected everything went downhill from there. They contacted us to say that additional work was required, which seems to be a regular occurrence with this company. I had already spoken to a genuine Citroen dealer the day before and was informed additional parts were just recommended and not essential. The service stop Rep insisted that they were essential. The car was not returned within the specified time and there was no response to our phone calls. At one stage we were going to report the car stolen as we were under the impression that it was a scam. However, we sent text messages requesting an update and were astonished at the "I don't give a stuff" attitude from them. The car was returned but over 3 hours late. The sub contract mechanic, even informed us that the additional work was just a recommendation and NOT essential. If we had agreed for the additional parts to be sourced and fitted through service stop, the cost would have been £140 dearer than if we had taken it directly to a genuine Citroen dealer. Don't forget the +VAT. We will certainly never use this company again and urge anyone considering doing so, read all reviews and NOT just the ones detailed on their website. 06/10/21
Tip for consumers:
Stay well clear. By the time they have added "non essential parts" to your service, it would be £140 cheaper to go through a genuine Citroen dealer.

So this lot have managed to go, in just over a week, from 600+ Google Reviews and a 1.1 score to just over 100 reviews with a 3.3 score. Make of that what you will.
The Car failed it's MOT on the Shock Absorbers, the rest of the work was not even detailed as an Advisory on the MOT, but you are given very little opportunity to pick and choose what you actually pay for. The undertone in the call you receive is basically if you don't pay for everything, you aren't getting your car back. Done in a clever enough way that they don't actually state that explicitly.
I managed to get the Shock Absorber work detailed in the bill cancelled just in time, so have currently been waiting 11 working days for a refund for these. It's worth pointing out that not only did they charge for these separately, but they charged £730 for something that should have cost, on average, about £240. It's hardly surprising they don't allow (as per their Terms and Conditions) the customer to discuss any issues with the garage doing the work direct. I can't image the Garage(s) being too impressed at what Servicing Stop are charging people at the Garage's reputation expense.
If you're unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end of a bill from this lot, I cannot urge you enough to research the prices from your local garages before you go anywhere near proceeding with the work. The Garages in my area have been, shall we say, less than complimentary about the prices being charged here. So again, make of that what you will.

Full Service + MOT + quite a few "optional" extras that turn out to be not very optional.
Long story short... Car was never collected on 3 separate occasions after being booked in, followed by excuse after excuse. Still waiting for a response from them
OK so it is very easy and convenient to book a service. I booked a full service next day with collection and delivery which is great. That's what the star is for. However...
Be warned your car could be serviced by anyone on their network and I am not sure they care who actually does the work. My car was serviced on somebody's drive! I know because I have a tracker on the vehicle. In addition to this the car was driven twice the distance than required to actually get there!
I called Service Stop to relay my concerns and it took 25 minutes for someone to answer!
Then I had the phone call to say there would be extra charges for oil which I was expecting as I had read the small print but also brake fluid change as the manufacturer advised. I accepted in the heat of the moment believing the seemingly genuine advisor. I have since found out that the manufacturer does not require brake fluid to be changed at this service interval and they charged 3x the going rate for it! I am awaiting response to my demand for a refund on the brake fluid change and will be taking it further if not
So dont be a sucker for the booking convenience because everything else is shoddy and I would not trust this company.
I am not saying that it is necessarily Servicing Stop's fault, but definitely the garage that they contract with. I have never had a car as new with as little milage, bought a year before from an authorised dealer, yet I received a bill higher than I have ever had before! Further more, when I got it back, I heard a grinding noise only to find the leading edge of the sump guard hanging down which when th wind caught it was scrapping on the road; i. E. they failed to replace the sump guard properly after taking it off to change the oil.
I contacted them and requested the sump guard to be properly fixed and a full review of the service that I had done. As I use the car to take the kids to school and back, I told them that the car was available between 10am and 2pm but no later as I needed it to collect the kids. The driver came out at 1pm with some cable ties! Servicing Stop would do very well to drop them as one of their contracts.
This company should be on rogue traders. Booked my my car in for a service and mot, so got it checked out beforehand to ensure it would pass, which it did. Surprisingly they told me it needed new brake fluid (which it didn't as this was checked) and it would cost £300 on the day, but the price would shoot up if I had it done at a later date. I refused their kind offer, to which I was told that they had had to change the oil, at a cost of £29.99, which seemed strange as it was changed less than two months ago. I paid this, then expected my car to be returned within the next few hours as no further work was being done... how wrong I was. Evening came and went, still no sign of it, tried ringing various numbers, no answer. The car was returned the following day with no explanation as to why it was kept. This resulted in me having to take the day off work. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere. The so called special offers work out the same price as Halfords, once the cost of oil and fluids are added on, whether you need it or not. So by using a local garage instead of servicingstop you will probably end up saving money.
Should of read reviews had car in for full service I should of realised was to cheap had call from service adviser sayin extras needed put price up sayin it would be over 500pounds I said no not going to pay it just do the limit needed was still 165quid extra on top of the 74 I paid to get car back from the garage rip off will never use again
Avoid, avoid, avoid! Late pick up, ridiculously late delivery (we were late for our holiday!). May seem cheap on the face of things but they recommended £650 of work on top. When I refused they dropped the price. Customer services is a nightmare to get through to with lengthy hold periods. I was told the car would be back between 4 and 6pm, then 100% that it would be back at 12pm the next day, then they were 20mins away, they eventually arrived at 1.30pm the next day. Complained to customer services who quoted the small print and offered £10 off an MOT - an offer I shall not be taking them up on. Please avoid!
Real East End ( think Phil Mitchell) type operation. Hopeless customer service, dodgy personnel and just outright trying to con and scam customers. Leave you feeling sullied LLP afterwards.
They are terrible and i am surprised they are still allowed to be running and operating. They take advantage of people. They say i need nearly £800 worth of work done, and then i said i cant afford that it goes to £399 plus the service and MOT. They tell me i need all these jobs, i ask them to send me an email with the work needed and they say they have sent it which they did not i ask again and the say they have again still no email. I ask for only the things done to get it through the MOT and they say its £399. On receiving my MOT certificate i can see it is only two things they needed to do and it should not of been this price qand they did extra things which did not need to be done. They are scammers and its disgusting how they can get away with still operating. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
We booked our Mini in for a service and MOT. Pickup was fine - they took it away. They then told us we needed some 'essentials' and when asked what that was, they told us a 'fuel flush' and 'brake fluid replacement'. We said no thank you and they then said that they had already done the fuel flush and we were therefore going to have to pay them an extra £160. My wife called me to discuss with them about it and when I called they were aggressive and argumentative. They said "without payment we will not release your car". I discussed with my wife then rang them back and they put me on hold for 15 minutes before hanging up. Every time I rang back they cut me off. I changed to my work phone and they answered immediately. Once they realised it was me they pretended that it was a bad line and hung up again. The car was not returned to us. As we were held to ransom and my wife needed her car for work we were forced to pay the money. The car arrived a day later - forcing us to manage with one car for the day. They were childish, immature, whole heartedly unprofessional and we feel like we have been robbed. Avoid this company unless you want trouble. A £120 service ended up being around £350!
Terrible, Awful, Criminal. We will be spending a few hours today writing reviews on all sites to warn others away from them. They guy who was so immature and awful on the phone was Chris - The worst customer service I have ever witnessed!
Please please please do not use this company. You pay for a full service but they still extort money out of you & if you don't pay you don't get the car back. The advisors are extremely rude as well... I wouldn't even give them 1 star. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.!
Tip for consumers:
Don't use servicing stop
Booked MOT/Service over a month before. Had text and Email message stating garage would ring to tell me when they would be collecting my car. Heard nothing. So 15 minutes before 10.am (as stated no later to pick up) I rang the number they gave me. The owner was very rude and told me he'd had enough of the company and the arranged collection he had cancelled. I asked why and he said too far to collect and I should take my stupid attitude and complain directly to Service Stop. Asked if in hindsight if he could have just messaged me to let me know and he hung up. Nottingham based is all I am saying. Got in touch with SS and they said there wasn't a local garage; so why did they take my money knowing the only local garage was not operating and hadn't been for 4 months?. Finally got my refund but nevertheless I had to book in with another reputable company for my MOT/Service. Plus side: good customer service is polite but organisation a mess. I'm not the only one been let down by lack of organization.

We are the fastest growing, and one of the largest car-service companies in the UK. Founded in 2009, our goal has been to radically improve the user experience for drivers, by making car servicing both affordable and convenient. Winners of Dragons Den in 2009. At present, the company has more than 1500 garages within our network, a figure which will have risen significantly by the end of the year. Read more on our website: www.servicingstop.co.uk
Servicing Stop was founded in 2008, by brothers Oly Richmond and Toby Richmond. Their business plan took advantage of a 2003 change of law by the European Commision called the Block Exemption Regulation. This meant that vehicle services of different brands of car could now be carried out by independent garages as well as garages contracted to the branded dealerships and manufacturers.
In 2009, Servicing Stop featured on the BBC television programme Dragons Den where the company directors attempted to secure additional investment into the company. Despite receiving offers from three of the Dragons (Peter Jones, James Caan and Deborah Meaden), the brothers ultimately decided to continue the development of the business independently.
