I put 5 star to warn people who think the 5 stars maybe genuine. There not. Everyone gets ripped off, just look at the reviews. While its being serviced you get a call from a London number telling you that you must have the brake fluid changed the engine flushed to clear the carbon build up? Oil has to be a 'special' oil etc etc. They want hundreds of pounds more with an underlying threat that you won't get your car back if it isn't done. Meanwhile the garage servicing the car have absolutely no idea what is going on. It's daylight robbery and should be stopped.
Having been pressured into paying for work to be done to my car after failing the MOT and service I booked with servicing plop, (I was told it was too dangerous to move from the forecourt), I paid £1700. Turns out that the majority of work I was charged for did not take place. An independent mechanic checked it over for me and took photos. I paid this much basically for 2 tyres! I've reported them to trading standards and will take them to court for theft if my refund is not processed within 7 days
Booked car in... car picked up... now in garage all over weekend... no contact... no answer... garage closed... absolute joke... DO NOT USE THESE COWBOYS...
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Overcharged for MOT and service and I was promised my car would be returned by 7pm Friday and I've had no car for the entire weekend. It's now Monday 430pm and still no car - day at work missed and probably another day at work missed tomorrow. Trying to get through to their customer service is a nightmare and promises of call backs are empty promises.

MOT and Service
1. The price was inflated with non optional extras after receiving an initial quote.
2. After I booked well in advance for a full service at a price of £143, no one turned up at the appointed time. I was called a half hour after this time and informed someone would attend another 1.5 hours later. Again, at the promised time, no one turned up and no one called me either to explain what was going on.
3. I tried to find a number to contact customer service but they have none.
4. I used the chat feature on their website and was simply told my car could be rebooked another day. No mention of a goodwill gesture for having waited at home all day, only for no one to take the car. When I mentioned a goodwill gesture, it was flat out declined and I was told to contact customer service via email.
This company was quick to collect money in a deceiving way (with hidden mandatory costs added at checkout) and then terrible at keeping me posted when they failed to collect. A whole day was wasted waiting for someone to come and they couldn't even offer a small refund as compensation.
Terrible experience hopefully they will get closed down when consumer rights are acnolaged in this Country ( seams Third world Company's can steal your money and You have no recourse even whent the resolver route No feedback from Servicing stop)
Looks like they're having a bad day.
DO NOT use this company. I certainly won't be again.
I've used them for quite a few years now and I think the gaps between services/MOTs are just enough to forget what awful an experience I have each time I go.
If you want to get in touch, you'll be waiting at least half an hour on hold.
If you expect to pay what the original quoted price was, apparently this is unreasonable. Prices a quoted without VAT firstly, then there are surcharges for everything, topping up fluids if needed (although this is included in the full service), adding 'special' oil (I've got a normal diesel), environmental disposal surcharge. So when I booked for a £120 service and MOT is was avtualyl £230.
Then my technician tried to tell me to get a load of extra things done which I was sure I'd had done through them recently, only when he checked back did he see that yes, if he hadn't he'd have got an extra £500 out of me (or there abouts).
To top it off, I still don't have my car back. I had confirmation that the work was complete mid afternoon and it was paid for (reluctantly) then. But it's now 20:00 and I have no way of getting to work tomorrow.
Just spend a bit more, and avoid the stress and annoyance that servicing stop will bring you.
I purchased full service that mentioned a big list of checks including oil and filter change. The problem is that I read reviews after I made the payment online to get a £20 discount. They almost have the same offer all the time. Deceiving people and charging them extra after car has been taken.
All of the bad reviews came true when my car was at the garage, hardly after few minutes of pick up I received a call telling me to pay £500 worth of servicing items. Quoting an air filter for £95, dont know where they were ordering parts from? I have basic car and I checked the recommended oil and filter doesnt cost more than £50 anywhere. I clearly refused and called garage they told me since my service was from dealership and no new parts needed.
I received a surprise email from servicestop after refusing all of the parts to pay more to get the car released from garage.
Garage told me that service stop has just paid them for oil change. This is ridiculous, I paid around £150 for just an oil change. I am not even sure if they even changed the oil.
The service history on the infotainment system on my car wasnt updated, driving side mats and seats had stains.
I tried contacting them but they give you phone numbers where you cannot call or dont answer. I emailed them but no response.
Avoid at all times, please read other reviews before handing your car over

Do not use this company. They appear on the face of it to be a cheaper alternative to the local garage but in effect they work out to be far more expensive. I supposedly had a service and an MOT carried out by them or a garage acting on their behalf. I was quoted a price of £135 and was advised that this would be reduced by £20 if I paid in advance which I did.
Once the car had been collected I received a phone call advising that the car had passed the MOT but that remedial work was required which was going to cost £450 in total! I foolishly agreed to pay this amount as I needed the car to be returned.
The car was returned the same day although it did not appear until almost 7pm. Delivery was due between 4pm and 6pm so you can imagine I was getting a little anxious by the time it arrived.
I have tried, unsuccesfully, to obtain an invoice and service documentation from SS Ltd but this has not yet been received although they claim to have sent it by separate email.
It would appear that I have been charged £450 for an MOT.
Tip for consumers:
Do not use this company.
An absolute rip off. The business model is to pay garages trade prices and then charge you retail + whatever commission they fancy it seems. My MOT failed and I checked multiple places online for a quote for the part, came put approx £60 average (yes labour would be on top) got it quoted at a few garages, £160 average, which given it is a long job is fair. Servicing stop quoted approx £350. Total joke. Then the list of recommended jobs (pollen filter, brake fluid flush, etc.) All of which were not actually needed, another £600+. The MOT failure was not a dangerous fault so I could still drive on existing MOT which had a week left. They told me I couldn't drive it, and put on pressure to pay their prices, I assured them I knew I was getting ripped off and didn't want the work doing, and wanted my car returning. They told me it would be returned soon a 4.56pm, they close at 6pm so despite calling and emailing to find out where my car was at 8pm onwards, didn't hear anything back, and on writing this review 3 days later, I still haven't. My car wasn't returned until the next day, which was obviously concerning and inconvenient given they say it is returned by 6pm on the same day. The driver returning it told me servicing stop had told them they'd let me know it would be the next day, as servicing stop had to sign off it being returned with the failed MOT. Felt as though I was being punished for not giving into their pressure and lining their pockets. Poor customer service, extortionate prices, avoid avoid avoid!

Absolute disgrace. A full service is to look at your car and then tell you what's wrong. They didn't even do the basics. Took the car 50 miles away. STAY CLEAR DO NOT USE THEM.

Awful service - My service has been cancelled 3 times after organising work to stay at home for collection each time.
Booked my car in for a full service on Tuesday, it was cancelled the day before and re-booked in for the Thursday.
On Thursday no one turned up, phoned and was on hold for 30 minutes before getting through. Was told they would contact the garage and get back to me.
Phoned back as no one called (and on hold again for another 25 minutes) and told they were not able to do the service today. They could book me in for Monday.
Explained this was the 2nd cancellation and was told they would see if they could do Friday, but if not it would be done on Monday and they would do a gesture of good will and make my car a priority.
On Monday, no one turned up again, after being on hold for 40 minutes was told they would contact the garage and come bak to me within the hour.
I got a call back to say not sure why they hadn't picked up the car and that they are unable to do today now as they picked up other cars instead. The earliest is Wednesday they could do it now.
I would not use servicing stop again, 1 cancellation can happen for many reasons. 2 should be pretty rare but to cancel 3 times and for me to have to constantly chase up and spend time on hold is unacceptable!
Tip for consumers:
Do not use Servicing Stop!
I had a full service done on my Range Rover. Started off really good. Friendly on the phone and came and got the car within the time they said. All was good until I drove my car. Not even 100 miles later my cars oil light came on. I was on the motorway with me 2 children when the car just cut out. It wouldn't start again and I was stuck on the side of tue motorcycle with me 3 year old 12 year old autistic son.
After getting the car home then having to pay for another truck to take it to a garage I was already £300 down ( not including the £500 for the full service) I was told that I had no oil in my car and that the filters hadn't been changed so because of that and other things my engine had blown up. After letting service stop know and sending the reports I had they have said it's not their fault. I had nothing wrong with my car and at only ******* miles this shouldn't have happened. I have now paid £******* to have the new engine and now another £2000 for the turbo. I can't do anything about it I'm just a single mum with now no money and in debt and still don't have a car due to not having the money to fix it any further.
I have emailed and emailed and all I have now is they have done what they said and that the matter is now closed.
I feel like they have taken advantage of me, because I'm a woman. I am disgusted that a company can do this knowing full well that children are in that car and that other people are on the road.
Car collected from home at 9 am as promised and returned to me on time, good price really happy with service, no additional work was carried out but a couple of advisories were stated
Do not read positive reviews like me it is all negative Started OK with quotation and payment, however did not have a call stating pickup time just arrived outside (should have seen the light then) told driver needed car by 16.30hrs. A call arrived at 16.30hrs stating car had failed MOT and brake fluid was low Price to fix an extra £250 questioned price and told car danagerous and mechanic prices high (reverse 2tyres and top up fluid). A request for payment online otherwise garage could not release car (so a type of extortion) I was left on roadside no internet and no call back to pay by credit card, so got wife to pay. Car was finally returned at 18.20hrs questioned driver car available at 15.00 (so late call was to apply pressure)
Also garage paid fixed price for work not all the extras perceived
NB no itemised bill (so did the draining of system take place, bleeding of brakes and new oil brake fluid installed)
Lastly maybe Trading Standards should look into the code of practice this company is operating
Tip for consumers:
Do not pay for extras
Booked online for a collection for MOT and service. Date and time confirmed as available. In the morning of collection, sat waiting for the garage to collect. And waited. And waited. 2 hours later tried phoning Servicing stop helpline. 45 minutes later, sat on hold still no joy. So gave up and tried to contact the garage directly. Managed to speak to the garage owner, who informed me he had only received my booking from servicing stop that morning, had no availability to do my car, or the 7 others they had sent through. The owner advised me he had already sent an email complaint asking servicing stop to halt bookings as he could not cope with the amount they sent through. I had already paid, and was also advised that the garage would have charged £150 on top of what servicing stop had already taken, as his prices for MOT and servicing were a minimum of £270.00. I emailed servicing stop who tried to blame the garage for the non collection, and I asked for a refund to take my business elsewhere. At no point was I offered an alternative garage, or called by servicing stop despite repeated requests. 2 weeks after threatening legal action and press involvement I received a very condescending email from Jason at servicing stop, which showed no customer care, blaming everyone else, except themselves. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY, AND FEEL FREE TO ADVISE ANYONE YOU KNOW TO DO THE SAME. By the way, I'm still waiting for a refund as according to Jason, by law they have 14 days to process the refund, then a further 7 days for it to reach your account. Sound like somewhere you want to spend money?
This company is hell bent to make money out of nothing! AVOID SERVICINGSTOP.CO.UK LIKE THE PLAGUE! They took my Fiat Grand Punto which was in perfect condition for an mot and a 40 thousand mile service.
They phoned me back a few hours later and told me it would not pass the mot without additional work. The bill for which would be ( a lot of noise and mumbling here) £270 something pounds. Sounds reasonable I thought and said yes. It seems I misheard, for when I looked at their website later that day there was an itemised bill for £1600. I tried to phone them immediately and received an automated message which said go to Our website. Did that and queried the price which they said I had agreed to and had passed the go ahead to a Sheffield firm (where I live) and could not now stop the work. So then a bill for the work came for £1458. 50 to be paid online before they would return the car. I had tried everything to stop the work which seemed to be inspect and replace everything that would unscrew! I eventually managed to speak to someone at Servicingstop but would say nothing but 'that I had agreed the price and the work was now done'. So I had to pay to get my car back. Please DO NOT use this company

I booked in for an MOT and Service for the 4th October 2021 on the 15th September. This gives them 20 days to arrange the appointment with the garage. The offer pay upfront option. Which i have done. Once done you get a confirmation email to tell you the appointment is booked in with the garage and they will come and collect your car. Sounds great.
However, Monday the 4th October comes and no one arrives the pick up the car. At 11:30am i called and asked why as they are supposed to pick up between 8am and 10pm. The guy just answered with 'they cannot do it today'. I had not been contacted by anyone to tell me that they could not do it.
I then re-arranged the appointment to Friday. Waiting on Friday morning. Again no one comes and collects the car. This time i didn't call to see if anyone would come back to me to advise what has happened. Silence.
I receive an email from them that evening, with confirmation of my booking for Monday 11th October 2021. No one called to check this appointment was okay for me. I chose to wait in and see what happens.
I think you can guess what happened, No show once again. Problem is, once you pay upfront they have you locked in as they wont refund you for up to 10 days.
My advice to anyone considering going with these guys to seriously consider against it. They may offer cheap prices but far from reliable, pick a garage that will take your booking and ensure you are seen to on that day!
Reading the other reviews below about after having a service done, im glad i haven't gone through with it!
I have today asked for a full refund of my money.
I booked my car in for a service and MOT. The next day my car was picked up and taken to the garage as agreed. A few hours later I received a call from a Service Stop agent telling me that my car had a number of parts that needed replacing. I asked for a quote and was shocked by the amount they were asking. I said I didn't want to proceed with any work as I was confident I could get a far better price elsewhere. The agent then became very aggressive and started to use strong arm tactics to make a sale. The agent said that if I didn't get the work done I would have to arrange for my car to be picked up. Although my car still had a valid MOT the Service Stop agent tried to this as an opportunity to make me accept his grossly inflated quote. The agent the told me that my car was legally unfit to drive and started again with the strong arm tactics. After being bullied by the agent I then called the garage who was actually carrying out the work and they told that my car was legal to drive and that they would deliver my car back to me that evening. The Service Stop agent had clearly lied to me. I also took the service report to another garage and asked for a quote. To no surprise it was £450 pound cheaper.
It would appear that Service Stops business model is built on the premise that they are acting as agents for local garages getting them extra work while putting massive margins on top that customer has to pay. They don't add any value at all. You are far better off going to a local garage directly therefore avoiding the ridiculously inflated charges and the harassment from there staff.
Overall my experience was very poor and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. Don't believe their fake trust pilot 4.5 star rating they put on their website!

MOT and Car Servicing
Absolutely horrible! It is a biggest scam. NEVER EVER USE THEIR SERVICES. We booked their services in a good faith and convenience that someone will collect the car and do the MOT and Services and return the car same day.
1)They charge me for full services in advance and on the day of the collection, they call and say, they only do oil and filter change in the full services. They will not return the money.
2) They write in fine print, if your car needs special oil, they will charge additional 25GBP. They will charge this regardless. They will call you and tell that you car needs special oil. A big lie.
3) They have a massive margin in this. The garage who does the work gets only a fraction of money. So, they first fail the MOT and call you with very scary/threating tone and give you a massive cost to fix the problems.
4) Since our car was with them, we had no choice but to go ahead with the cost as they can intentionally damage the car so you end up with car breakdown on road.
5) THEY WILL FAIL MOT. I spoke to the mechanic and he himself suggested that they only get a fraction of money from the total amount. Servicing stop takes a big cut and hence the massive cost to a small repair.
We paid £780 for MOT, service ( only oil + filter change), break pad, break fluid and Wishbone front arm. This should all cost no more than £275. Instead we paid £780.
DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES.
Tip for consumers:
Threatening calls when they fail the MOT
They will not let you speak to the Mechanic or the Garage. This should ring the bells.

SHOCKING COMPANY
As many people have said below, If I could give zero rating I would!
The price for a FULL service on my wife's car was advertised at £165, this is a good £140 cheaper than my local Vauxhall dealership quoted (my Vauxhall dealer quoted for all items in a FULL service), so we thought we would give Service Stop a try... and after reading what we thought were the items included and the specifics of the service we promptly paid the full amount. At 4pm (2 hours before the car should be returned) I received a call from the Service Shop office in London. The guy on the phone then had the nerve to tell me that filters for oil, fuel, pollen were not included, he said the brake fluid needs to be drained and replaced as part of a service, he said the oil was special (its not! And I checked with Vauxhall)... and the list went on and on! He then said there would be an additional £375 on top of the £165 we had already paid to complete the service! - he was completely condescending on the phone and smug, and kept saying 'didn't you read the small print'!
So basically for £165 all they did was pick the car up and then give me a list of all the additional things they want to charge me for! I had to pay £28 on top of the bill for the 'special' oil just to get the car back, so basically Ive paid £200 for an oil change.
So my message to anyone thinking of using this company because they are cheap is... DONT, THEY ARE A COMPLETE RIPOFF. I will now have to take my wife's car to the main dealer for a proper service, this has been a very expensive lesson.
I wish my review had something positive to say. The fact they no longer respond to reviews here, google or trust pilot must say something. (and by the way if you check out other review sites please be aware Serving Stop offer people £10 discount / rebate to post a review - many actually do this before they have had their car back!)
Like the vast majority of other reviewers. I found myself drawn in by the low prices quoted, only to find the quoted price didn't cover basics and there would be an upcharge - for oil as the quoted price didn't cover synthetic oil which pretty much all diesel cars need. Also the extras which i was told i needed where at massively inflated prices - to help with scale in order to replace a washer jet nozzle, the part about the size of a thumb nail where the water comes out onto the screen, no motors, no electrics, no pipes /hoses etc £97 plus vat plus labour - this part is widely available for under £10. Change of break fluid £140 plus vat - this is more than twice the price of most other national garage chains will charge.
Once they have taken your car away - it's hard to get in touch with them, email and on line chat is poor and you can feel bullied into agreeing extra work as they refuse to return your car unless you agree stating that it's unsafe to drive it!
To cap it all off for me 5 weeks / 1200 miles after my "service" i had an oil warning light appear and having had my car recovered to another garage i find the fault was a "mashed" seal on the oil filter they replaced. So my upgraded oil is now all over my engine bay - thanks serving stop!
My advice is avoid this company

Avoid Servicing Stop at all costs - you might think you're going to save money but it's unlikely you will. I will never use them again.

We are the fastest growing, and one of the largest car-service companies in the UK. Founded in 2009, our goal has been to radically improve the user experience for drivers, by making car servicing both affordable and convenient. Winners of Dragons Den in 2009. At present, the company has more than 1500 garages within our network, a figure which will have risen significantly by the end of the year. Read more on our website: www.servicingstop.co.uk
Servicing Stop was founded in 2008, by brothers Oly Richmond and Toby Richmond. Their business plan took advantage of a 2003 change of law by the European Commision called the Block Exemption Regulation. This meant that vehicle services of different brands of car could now be carried out by independent garages as well as garages contracted to the branded dealerships and manufacturers.
In 2009, Servicing Stop featured on the BBC television programme Dragons Den where the company directors attempted to secure additional investment into the company. Despite receiving offers from three of the Dragons (Peter Jones, James Caan and Deborah Meaden), the brothers ultimately decided to continue the development of the business independently.
