As of 2024, I stopped buying Sherwin Williams paint. As a homeowner, who is an experienced painter, I was hit with a huge price increase in a quart size can of touch up paint. I went into a local Sherwin Williams store with my old can of Sherwin Williams (from the previous homeowner) to get the exact color. I almost fainted when I learned it was almost $40 for the quart size and almost $100 for a gallon. Paint is paint when it is on your wall. You will not be able to tell if Sherwin Williams paint is on your wall or some other cheaper brand, as long as a skilled painter does the job. No, you should not buy the cheapest paint. It might be too thin.
However, the Sherwin Williams Paint company has gone too far with their prices, just to satisfy their earnings for the stock holders. Do yourself a financial favor and look to other companies that supply just as good of a product.
