I just had a bad experience with a dealer who said i needed a new battery. They even told me not to turn off my car, but i did. Turns out my car started up again and the wonderful service person at Advance checked it out for me and it was good. I cannot for the life of me understand why dealer's service techs want to mislead customers. Oh yeah, it's about money. Please, if you are told you need a battery at a dealer in Salisbury, NC, run to Advance to get it!
About 4 months ago i bought a car batery, the batery was bead and i went to the farmers branch branch to swichit as the battery insurance had not expired, the store manager did not aproved the exchance due to I did not removed the battery out my car, I scalate the issue to the corporated office and they COULD NOT HELP ME, the issue ended when I talk to the regional manager and the store manager started laughing in my face, the battery price was almost $300.00, i guess this people dont care about they coustumers, one think is for shure I WILL NEVER BUY IN THIS AUTO PARTS STORE EVER, I will pass my experience to my family and friends as and advice before they go there.

I've been helped at times, They sold me a bad alternator, they sold me a defective turn signal stalk that didn't return to the neutral position and plainly didn't have any standard tools in stock, hello Amazon, $54 for all of my needs. Today (5/13/24) the cashier said he didn't know what I was talking about... I was talking about Part number 939-243. Dorman 17x 6.5 Steel wheels, which I believe I bought two before. The two other cashiers wouldn't help either, miss-direction from other employees. Oh the Houdini thingy, lol. I remember having a battery salesman there said don't look at the testing meter, I need you to accelerate the engine. They had one lady manager that seemed to care, she sold me the defective turn signal stalk. I know the difference, at times I am difficult, because I worked for Dodge, Toyota, Nissan and Mercedes Benz. We weren't allowed to "play work" with questionable quality parts nor mis-lead customers. Advance is why I'm this way!... and this review wants me to provide Proof of Purchase.
Just Stay away if you order online and need to do a return. They only return to original payment and will not give store credit even when you tell them the card does not exist anymore you bought this on due to being hacked. Now I have 50.00 in limbo somewhere but needed new headlights that were only 6 months old. What a joke!

Been building cars 46 years This company is crooked as hell.Qouted me 130.00 for a ball joint for a 23 year old jeep.Called the manufacturer of the ball joint 34.00.Tells you what ADVANCE is doing.Advance quoted 300.00 lmfao 300.00 for a moog.I called moog 46.00.Once again advance dirty!

Warning don't deal with advanced auto parts if you pay cash and want a refund don't expect cash back they force you to put on a debt or credit card and it takes weeks to get your money back in my case they put on my debit card got the money put back on card and the Same day they took back out my bank had to put a dispute in I got my money back so needless to say I'm not dealing with this shady company anymore
My wife stopped in a store since I was busy working. The employee was rude to help her and showed her where to go. From there she was on her own. She is not young and has bad arthritis and asked him to loosen lid at checkout and again making remarks. There are not many brick and mortor stores around and customer service is very important. If you are not happy with your job don't take it out on others. I am very disgusted with the treatment.

Do not buy car batteries from this place. My husband tried to get a new one under warranty and was told it was still good, when in reality it wasn't. We had it already checked before bringing it in for replacement. My husband was so mad, he told the cashier that she could keep the battery if it was still good. We will no longer do business with them. Now my truck works, we bought a new battery at autozone and it starts very quickly. They are all out for commission, so if they can sell you something rather than trade out an battery with a warranty they will. Not a great experience!

I've used Advanced Auto for years without an issue, but this time I ordered online. Specifically, an oil change bundle. The site has you enter your vehicle specific info (year, make, model, trim level, engine...). It gives you a choice of which weight oil and brands. Selected, paid, it was shipped. What it actually sent was 1 5 quart jug, not what the vehicle requires. I am 2 quarts shy so I have to now run out to get more oil to finish the job I was about to start. What is the point of added vehicle info if it doesn't add the correct amount?
I emailed them pretty quickly after I finalized an order to cancel. This relay is really difficult to find, and it wasn't going to be correct.
The emailed me back 6+ hours later saying that it was too late to cancel, but i can return it whenever it get to me. But I don't be getting the shipping and handling back. Are you effing kidding. Yah, 6 hours later it probably is too late to cancel.You suck.
The POS is still clear across the country. And it took you 6+ hours to get back to me,?!? Total waste.

Went to buy a headlight bulb. Was unsure how to replace it. It was dark and needed it replaced before I even left the store. They told me they are no longer allowed to assist with things like build replacement. I'll go to AutoZone from now on.

Yesterday I went to the auto parts to get some help for a part that I needed (store number. # *******). Shelton T. Was very helpful. He was so polite and very professional. I really appreciate the service that he provided to me. I wish there were more people like him because it makes things so much better. Great customer service!

I ordered a part online. Paid extra for 1-2 day shipping. My part will not be delivered for 5 days. I chatted online with 3 people. As soon as I said, "I want a refund for shipping." the chat magically ended due to connection each time. I finally got a phone number and talked to a live person and they told me, "It's 1-2 business days." Is says nowhere on there sight about business days. Then they told me, "The best we can do is offer a $20 coupon." The shipping was more than $20. Don't waste your time or money with them. Poor customer service, deceitful web site, and like I said, "They rob you!"

I don't know about other Advanced Auto Parts but mine stinks. Used their web site ti look for what I knew I needed. Simple 5/16 fuel injector hose. Web site pulled up every thing but. Then local store would not even match prices of lower local stores. Elyria OH
Worst store manager ever. Purchased 4 year warranted battery. Battery lasted 4 months. Due to location had my car taken to dealership. They determined the issue was the battery. Returned the battery but they would no give any credit because we had replaced. Returned the battery to the store. He said it wasn't good but gave up no credit. Didn't think it was the battery since it was almost new. Very rude manager. He was too busy waiting on a lady and her grown daughter.
Employees are inconsiderate and not professional at all. They don't ask questions about situations and disrespect their customers. I will never buy anything there ever again. I will take my money elsewhere.
You can order online and pick-up in store within 30 minutes. You can also order and have parts delivered. As long as you are signed up for an account you receive all sorts of discounts. They could package some of their items a little better than they do. But their packages always show up on time and are undamaged. If you have a return you can just drop it off at a local store and get your refund. I have yet to experience shipping an item back for a refund.
They make ultra power parts. Total junk. Rock auto says they go through the manufacturer for warranty. Part started acting up in less than 100 Miles. Of course this company pushes the responsibility of covering it back on rock auto saying they dont make them. Meanwhile, recommend you google it. Helping rock auto screw me through plausible deniability.
Bought a fuel pump there it was made so cheap the paper thin metal broke took it back and the girl at the counter came back with an electric after i handed her my broken mechanical fuel pump she tells me to come back she ecan't give me a refund she keeps my broken pump and my receipt then the manager calls and says he is crediting my account $26 that was 2 months ago still nothing they stole my money i am so pissed i don't even wan't to go in there

Buyer beware, i purchased a set of LED bulbs for my marker, lights and blinkers that the cashier said would work I installed them, and my blinkers were not blinking and then blinking randomly. I went to return the bulbs, telling them that they do not work in my vehicle, and they told me, you cannot return electronics! So long story short beware when buying electronics from advance auto once you buy them they're yours if you open the package whether they fit or do not fit that being said it'll be the last time I buy anything from advance auto.
Sad to be an American. When you walk into a store in America and you can't read the signs because they all in Spanish and the music is bad language and talking about sex all the time you walk in this store. Today is the last day I will shop at Advance auto part. Sad time to be an American in Houston Tx.
When I went to return side bulbs that I didnt need they kept $2.50 they returned 13.02 and the price for the item was 14.49 + tax there was no reason I was given other than that's just how we do it in our store. And yes I had my receipt and the package wasn't opened or damaged. This is very poor business practice. I'll never shop there again SHAME ON THEM.
Ordered a part Sunday that was supposed to be there on Friday. No part. No tracking info. All they could do is order the part again and wait another week. Car not drivable because of part that should have been there! Never had this problem before with them over the years of buying parts. How can you not track the part or give me any information except we can reorder it! Will not be doing business with them again! Would give negative stars if they had it on this review. Has left me in a bind without a vehicle! With all the technology today y'all suck!
