I just had a bad experience with a dealer who said i needed a new battery. They even told me not to turn off my car, but i did. Turns out my car started up again and the wonderful service person at Advance checked it out for me and it was good. I cannot for the life of me understand why dealer's service techs want to mislead customers. Oh yeah, it's about money. Please, if you are told you need a battery at a dealer in Salisbury, NC, run to Advance to get it!
About 4 months ago i bought a car batery, the batery was bead and i went to the farmers branch branch to swichit as the battery insurance had not expired, the store manager did not aproved the exchance due to I did not removed the battery out my car, I scalate the issue to the corporated office and they COULD NOT HELP ME, the issue ended when I talk to the regional manager and the store manager started laughing in my face, the battery price was almost $300.00, i guess this people dont care about they coustumers, one think is for shure I WILL NEVER BUY IN THIS AUTO PARTS STORE EVER, I will pass my experience to my family and friends as and advice before they go there.
Yesterday I went to the auto parts to get some help for a part that I needed (store number. # *******). Shelton T. Was very helpful. He was so polite and very professional. I really appreciate the service that he provided to me. I wish there were more people like him because it makes things so much better. Great customer service!

I'm 72 and drive a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country. Whenever I've needed anything I go to Advanced Auto Parts in Sycamore. They have helped me with several things on my van and gone above and beyond to get things done.

I placed an order for brake pads and it said it was an exact fit for my Dodge Caravan. I took them out of the box today to put on and they aren't even close to fitting. I bought them during a 50% deal of the week and now that deal is gone and they won't give me that off or even the 15% online discount when I went directly into the store to return the brake pads. I didn't have my order # with me and they said they can't look up an order without it. How about being able to look up an order by my last/first name for God's sake. Go out and hire a programmer who knows how to program. Really close to not going to Advance Auto Parts any longer. Very frustrating and time consuming since my car is still on jacks because of this screw up.
I just noticed on the credit receipt that she put in "part not needed" which isn't correct. I needed the part if it would have been the correct part. Brakes ended up costing me twice as much as the original order!

I don't know... Advance Auto needs to clean up the parts database so you get the part(s) that actually fit your vehicle. Until that happens I probably won't order brake pads online.

Under the serpentine drive belt category, they thought it's convenient to add timing belts. Well I order the timing belt and tried canceling within an hour. They said they couldn't per policy of 45 min. Amazon doesn't list timing belts under serpentine drive belts. Is it really that hard to change this? And within an hour, I'm sure the had it on the truck ready to go lol

Needed a new battery. Needed it NOW. Needed it installed (I usually install my own). Raymond Roth, a new associate at the Advance Auto Parts store on Hwy 291 in Lee's Summit, MO helped me find what I needed, gave me several options, and then installed a new battery in my car and kept the old battery core. No charge for the installation. He did it all in under 10 minutes. Great guy. Perfect customer service. Exceeded my expectations. Jim R
Went in to go order some parts and there was a lady that treated me with so much hostility even though we called the day before saying i was going to come in the next day to order said parts. Needless to say she got us banned because my partner helped me go to the restroom because I had just gotten out of the hospital previous of going there. Then had corporate delete his commercial account and now he can't go back at all. Never having anyone that we know go into that auto zone again.

I went into Advanced Auto parts yesterday 11/9 for a Camshaft. The Camshaft was defected so I took it back. The cashier refused to give me a refund and said come in tomorrow morning and speak with my Manager. I went in this morning and was told the manager was off. There was another cashier there who seen me in there yesterday right away he said I can't do anything to help you call Corporate. I called Corporate spoke to a really nice girl named April. She stated they could have did a defected return and given you another one. She said I will contact the Manager and see if he is willing to do a refund he said no, therefore I'm out of 57.16 I bought another one from O'reillys. I will never spend another dime in Advanced Auto and let everyone know that they don't give a damn about their customers as long as they have your money they could careless.

Ordered and oil filter same day delivery cause I wanted it same day. Guess what didn't get it. Next day called in and they said it's getting delivered that day. Guess what didn't get it so I called again and the lady said I got 2 options either cancel the oder or come pick it which was 38 miles. I'm confused why they call it Free same-day home delivery if they can't do it. Don't make any sense to me.
The fuel rewards is a joke. If I travel about 30 miles I can get to a station that will MAYBE honor the rewards discount.
The other issue is after you make a purchase you then receive emails about discounts on the product that you just purchased.
I've had my fill of their BS.

Jim Chukalas is an exceptional Manager and human being. I stopped in to get a quarter of oil When my wearing light came on I was kind of nervous about that because I have newer car And it was snowing in yucky outside.
I ended up being 38 cents short to get a quart of oil he actually chipped in so I could get the oil and put the oil in my car saving my morning thanks a bunch Jim for a great customer service.
I would recommend this store to anyone.
The Advance Auto on Government St in Mobile, AL has the rudest employees I've ever encountered! Ken and another male employee (who looked like a wannabe biker) had to be the rudest employees I've encountered in my life. I will literally have my car towed or drive many extra miles to go to a competitor before I shop there again. They are lazy. They are inconsiderate and they act like they would rather be anywhere other than working there. They aren't willing to help. They act as though you're wasting their time. I have worked in customer service for years and I would have absolutely fired those two if they worked for me!

I visit the Gravois location daily and the team there is awesome mainly there manager Greg he helps his team out in a great way to get the job done. He multi tasks between customers giving the best customer service. I will forever shop there. I love the new crew and management. He even installed my battery in freezing cold snow. They are the best.
On the afternoon of April 4,2023 I made a purchase at your store in Frazer PA #*******. A young man named Chris Bean waited on me. He did a thorough job of finding the part I needed. When I got home, I realized I needed more parts and went back to the Frazer store. When I arrived, Chris was in his car, engine running, about to go home. He recognized me, turned the car off, and volunteered to go back in the store to get me what I needed. He didn't have to to what he did, but his sense of responsibility went over and above.
I have been using your store in Frazer for a while and every experience has been very positive.

I used to buy only from advance, not alot but when in need. I do believe the person working in shipping gets paid from how many orders called 20 minutes after realized mistake in shipping, was told it was 3 hours to late couldn't cancel. I bought the parts I needed, now the order was shipped said delivered I never received. Was ripped off for 216.00 because of people in the shipping place flat out lying. Had to rate or 1 star is to much. Store itself I have no problem.

Bought a heater resistor I didn't use. Tried to return it. Employee started inspecting part like I was trying to return old part. Then stated they didn't return electrical parts. Especially damaged ones. He pointed out a default on resistor. I told him if it was bad I bought it bad. That I didn't open the box to look at it. Little alone to install it. I guess everyone is a crook that tries to return something. So I used his reasoning. Took it to another store and returned it as defective. He pointed it out. As I said I never opened the box. So they sold me a defective part to begin with! They won't sell me another defective part or any part for that matter. I'm done.
This auto parts store is great... all you have to do is put in the make model and year of your vehicle and whatever you are looking for will come up if they have it. I ordered online for pick up at the store as I live one a block from the store. You can also have it shipped to your home. They have a variety of price ranges for parts (pay more for quality as always) so everyone can afford to shop here. They always seem to have a promotion of some sort going so saving money is a definite possibility at all times. Alot of times there are also helpful reviews on items so you can get an idea as to whether or not people feel the part is worth the money.
I've been in the store a few times and I always feel welcomed. Everyone is so nice! Oscar has helped Me a couple of times recently, and he is so helpful and knowledgeable! This is a place where the employees make you feel comfortable.

It is 2022 and Advanced doesn't give you the option to cancel online. You have to call and be greeted with poor customer service where they just tell you that you missed your 45 minute window to cancel. Well okay, I wouldn't have missed that if your call center was 24 hrs? Seems like if that's the policy it should be.
Bottom line is that Advanced has a shady system in place for their own benefit. They lost a customer today for life now that they reared their ugly head.

I work for Door Dash the man rudely said I was late for the order and wanted me to wait while he canceled it. He said he sent his driver. He need contacted me and gave me a timeline he waited until I got their to cancel it. I do not think other delivery companies should use this Advance Auto Company Thank you

New Water pumps have a plug in the heater hose port which seals the port closed. I used a breaker bar and then a impact gun (lefty loosie) and couldn't budge it. Every state except Hawaii has cold temps. Who wouldn't want heat? The box said "made in Honduras", so they probably wouldn't) I took it back to the store and 2 emoployees with a 24" breaker bar couldn't remove that damn plug. I mentioned there was another model # that would fit in stock. Same thing, they used the breaker bar and were about to give up when it moved. It took about 3 whole turns before it freed up. I had the same issue with Napa and took it back. Kudo's to the Upper Chichester Advance auto employees.
Advance Auto in whole as a company seems to have issues with people with disabilities. I know several people that work there for year's. As they have aged, as everyone does, they have developed health issues. The company is now pushing these people out the door stating that they cannot preform their duties. This is a horrible way to treat your associates that have been loyal for many years. My heart goes out to everyone with disabilities trying to find a way to earn a living and get discriminated against. These people need to band together and fight for their rights, and force big companies to take accountability for their discrimination.
I recently ordered online a COP coil and spark plug for a total of $41.57. I did not need the parts and promptly returned them to store purchased from. I assumed my PP method of payment would reflect the same price payed, No The statment showed $30.63 Credit issued to paymeny method, A $10.94 difference.
The associate at store I brought the paperwork to said, That is normal and the actual balance will be payed later. So far Nothing not even a notice I was shorted and why, WARNING to all, Check the paperwork It seems a way that people can lose money of not aware of the rip offs like Advance auto online,
Oh and I actually needed the parts and was charged more than the first sale and now cost me $44.92 for the same parts I returned 30 seconds ago,

Hi, my sales day started out bad. My mirror fell off the side of my car so I couldn't see the change lanes. I stopped in advanced auto care on West Lake Mead in Las Vegas Jonathan one of their employees went out of his way to afix a mirror on the side of my car so I wouldn't wreck until Kia has a mirror coming in weeks from now. Jonathan is a great asset. I would've love to have him working for me. Thank you again.
