I just had a bad experience with a dealer who said i needed a new battery. They even told me not to turn off my car, but i did. Turns out my car started up again and the wonderful service person at Advance checked it out for me and it was good. I cannot for the life of me understand why dealer's service techs want to mislead customers. Oh yeah, it's about money. Please, if you are told you need a battery at a dealer in Salisbury, NC, run to Advance to get it!

About 4 months ago i bought a car batery, the batery was bead and i went to the farmers branch branch to swichit as the battery insurance had not expired, the store manager did not aproved the exchance due to I did not removed the battery out my car, I scalate the issue to the corporated office and they COULD NOT HELP ME, the issue ended when I talk to the regional manager and the store manager started laughing in my face, the battery price was almost $300.00, i guess this people dont care about they coustumers, one think is for shure I WILL NEVER BUY IN THIS AUTO PARTS STORE EVER, I will pass my experience to my family and friends as and advice before they go there.

I ordered a several parts online. Placed the order and arrived at the Mooresmille location within 30 minutes. They had already had the order ready and waiting for my arrival. I had forgotten that I needed some extra parts that needed to go with the part that I had just ordered online. Mike was the employee who helped me and went above and beyond to make sure that I understood how the parts worked and what problems that I might run into when installing it. It makes difference when they have the experience and knowledge can give you tips on how to avoid potential problems. Thanks again

I drove my now broke car to advanced to purchase new spark plugs, went in told the"dude" Year, make, model and engine size. He pulls up the different brands they have for my car, I make my selection he went and got the 6 spark plugs rang them up and I proceeded home to install them. I installed them not paying close attention due to you trust you have the correct part. Went to start my car it barely ran for 2 minutes misfiring like something horrible never heard of, upon dying it mad a god awful clanking. I was sold 4 spark plugs that does not fit my car and 2 that were and this is how the AWESOME SALES PERSON RANG THEM UP. 2 different parts. Car hasn't started since they tow it to their mechanic to do diagnostics to see what happened. Mechanic had car for 3 days I called to check what they found out,he wouldn't discuss anything but Im responsible for the $3,200 repair. So advanced says as well as the mechanic I can have nothing stating whats wrong with my car and they are not responsible. How would I or anyone pay $3,200 for repairs when I have not a clue as to what is or be paying for. Calling the corporate office is a waste of time they will close they claim or have the district manager contact you. I paid to have my car towed back to my house still broken with a $3,200 repair that I haven't a clue is.

Looked up price for car battery online for $159 and went to store (Monroe, NY) and was told $169. I showed the counter person the on-line price and was told I could pay for the battery on-line but if I purchase in-store, it's $169.
Left and went down the street to Auto Zone, $159 done deal.

I took a failed battery in for replacement as it was a "gold" and is guaranteed for three years. The battery is just over two and a half years old according to its date sticker. I was told that if I didn't purchase the battery at the store I was returning the battery to then the warranty would not be honored as the stores are"not connected". Unbelievable

Great site save a lot of money pick up parts at store or have them shiped to home most time next day. Each time you spend over like 50.00 they give you 25. Dollers next buy and most time 15 to 25% off

Great Experience Was traveling to a Pensacola had battery failure.Stop in to the Advance The lady was very friendly she help us to get back on the road in s timely manner and wished us safe travels. Best experience I had in a long time.

I went to Advanced Auto Parts
In Palm Coast Florida.
I was looking for Seafoam Spray. I couldn't find it. I asked a sales guy behind the counter and he was short and talked down to me. He told me the product I was looking for was in the rear of the store with a tone of arrogance. I returned with the product I was looking for to check out. Low and behold it was the was arrogant salesman and he once more was short with me. I needed help and this was what I got.
I will never return to that particular Advanced Auto Parts again. What shame one bad apple can destroy a business.

Ordered part. Didnt come in when promised. Re ordered part through store manager. Assured me he would call. Never called. Went to store and found out warehouse never had part. Manager hid so he wouldn't have to talk to me.

From corporate to local store(Homosassa Fl.) Spent $230.00 on a battery and they would not reset the codes, Idiot lights, on my dashboard. Nasty sales associate. Corporate said I would get a callback 24-48 hrs. From store. No callback. Stay away from this store!

I ordered an ignition switch from AdvanceAuto.com because all the stores in my area had no stock. When checking out I used "speed perks" and a discount which put me a few pennies under free shipping so I ordered the recommended cabin filter for one my other vehicles. Today I received an email saying the ignition switch has been cancelled so went to RockAuto.com to find the exact same ignition switch for 1/3 the price. Being a curious person I checked the price of the cabin only to find out my car doesn't have one.
I maintain 10 family vehicles and will bring my business to Rock Auto for mail order and Napa for local items.
GOODBYE ADVANCE AUTO.

This is a review of AAP in general, corporate/company, not for the local stores. Bought a lifetime warranty alternator and two years later it failed to charge, leaving me stranded. An expensive tow home and return to the store showed the alternator was bad on their tester. But..., they no longer have an alternator for my vehicle (older Mercedes diesel) in their system. So..., they refunded me. But the refund went to a card that is no longer valid and it did not go to my new card number (same bank/account, different card number). Repeated calls to corporate and they claim that it can take 3 months to come back to them (in this day of computerized ACH's and such, this is complete bollocks!), then they'll refund me in another way. So I'm out the money for this "lifetime" (made in China rebuild, so "lifetime" just means the lifetime of the crappy rebuild) AND have to fork out ANOTHER $200 for one from Napa. The manager at my bank wrote a letter that they've checked my account and it has had no transfers, returns, etc., in the amount that Advance claims they refunded. Advance corporate doesn't care, they're just glad that they got my money and will never refund me. I've shifted to buying my own and parts for customers vehicles from other sources now.

Tip for consumers:
The local store people are great, even they say it's a total PITA dealing with corporate/CS.

I stopped in the enola store to buy parts for my vehicle and the younger employee behind the counter was very rude to customers in line ahead of me, he also didnt really seem to have the energy or want to help with customers. He was also on his phone the entire time he was helping customers.

Right now one star is entirely to high for me to give them. Due to negligence behaviour from the commercial manger here in Huntsville Alabama( i think his name is Kelvin), I called this morning at 0930 hrs left voicemail, have not recieved a call back it now 1540hrs. My replacement transmission was suppose to arrive 2 weeks ago. I suppose to be working an event now, thanks to him that's missed money. Negligence is UNACCEPTABLE there is no excuse. There no excuse to why my first transmission didn't have a quality check performed on it!

I was at the store 5035 when I met Bradley he provided me with such great customer service that I believe he deserves a raise and a promotion he went above and beyond his means to provide great customer service to me and my family I am very grateful for him the following day I met a guy named Tommy Tommy also did the same The Vibes they provided were nothing less than exquisite. I believe they both deserve a raise. Please go visit Tommy and Bradley at the store location 5035 they will find the cheapest men's to help you with the greatest customer service you will experience.

What a horrific company advance Auto is terrible made in Mexico parts that fail and no support - the speed perk gimmick is just that- please have someone at the executive level contact me

I have been buying from this store for about 4 years now. I have ordered things from them online in the past. I like the selection of auto parts and equipment they have. I have gone into the store and bought rain gutters for my truck and a bug guard that was great. It stops all those nasty insects from flying into my windshield. It was no fun cleaning the flying creatures off of my truck. As a matter of fact it made me sick. I also just purchased new front and back brakes from them. I called several different places to price check before making a decision on who I was going to buy from. Advanced beat several other dealers in price. I have priced the oil here but Walmart beat there oil prices. I have also bought wiper blades, air fresheners and car waxes that were nice. Advanced auto has a large section of accessories for just about anything you need for repair and replacement parts. When I went to the store the employee's where knowledgeable and helpful. If they did not have the part in the store they ordered very quickly and then called me as soon as it was available for pick up. They even offered to send it to my house. I hope this site helps people who are trying to save on auto parts, they can be very expensive in some other stores. You may not be able to get everything here, but they have a lot of stock. I want to advance Auto parts in ShopRite plaza in Bristol Connecticut a young man named Robert helped me get the correct wiper blades and even offered to put them on for me he did a excellent job and was very careful and friendly and I will be going there from now on

Placed an order just to have it canceled 5 days later with no explanation - I called the store directly just to have the guy tell me it happens all the time "Sometimes the online store offers products we can't even get". Really?!
When I asked if he could just order it for me he said he couldn't even order it - Not that it was out of stock - It wasn't even available. WHY would you sell products you can't get?
SO I'm without the part I need and was expecting in a day or 2, have to get a refund and be back at square one.
Thanks for the waste of time Advancedautoparts.com I will be sure not to make that mistake again.
(Not that it matters but this was a remanufactured generator for a 1962 GMC truck)
This was also time dependent for a car show I was trying to make and because of the cancelation 5 days after ordering there was no way to even get a replacement in time.

I had a failing battery in my Malibu and needed it replaced asap. After carefully reviewing my choice of stores I picked advanced auto parts despite their higher prices because they advertise that they test and install batteries. I went to the one in Dearborn, Michigan. They came out and tested my battery advising I would need a new one, but when I asked about the install the initial employee said she couldn't do it. I inquired if any other staff person could and she said she'd check. The guy she found looked at it and said he couldn't do it because it would take 45 minutes and that's too long. He said I could buy the battery there and referred me to a local mechanic for the install. I did not do that. Instead I went to Napa auto parts, which offered a better rated battery at a better price. I then watched a YouTube video on how to replace the battery myself and was able to do it in about 15 minutes. So much for the 45 minutes estimated by the worker at advanced auto parts. The take away here is that advanced auto parts does not actually perform the services they advertise and they employ people who can't be bothered to perform the functions of their job. I know for me I will never go back to advanced auto parts for anything. Ever. The lack of service I received has left a bad impression forever.

I dropped my battery off this morning for a charge I come back later the same day to check to see how much a charge it has the regards at the Auto Advance parts in Kingsland Ga tell me they don't have the battery and no way to prove I drop it off I tell them to run the cameras back they tell me they have no camera unbelievable I want my battery thieves!
