I've created 27 projects over the past 15 years on Shutterfly. This includes 15 different photo books. Each and every time, I've always received excellent, professional customer service and beautiful books. I custom design all my books. There may have been a couple of times over the years that I needed Shutterfly to help with a mistake. However, they stand behind there products 100%. If you aren't an experienced design person then ask for help. Use high quality photos! Remember Shutterfly didn't take the pictures. The photo quality of books and cards depend on what you upload. Low quality photos will create poor quality projects; so don't blame Shutterfly for your photos. They will make what you approve. Start your project early enough to allow for help and receive book in ample time in case the book or cards need to be possibly replaced if it's the direct fault of Shutterfly.

I ordered three photo books. The order was processed, they gave me a delivery date and then only one book came in the mail. No explanation- I figured it was an error and called customer service. I was told that it would come in two shipments---Why? This makes no sense and was a huge inconvenience. Now I see all the complaints I understand this is not a one off. I will not use them again. Way too expensive for such poor service!

I ordered 40 Christmas cards in November 2023. In the beginning of December I received 37 cards…I didn't count the cards when I received them and didn't realize that I was short until I addressed what I received. I immediately called Shutterfly Customer Support. They said they would expedite the additional cards…they didn't say expedite would be December 23rd which would be too late to mail for Christmas. I was advised I would receive a full refund and all I needed to do was call when I received the replacement cards and they'd send me a return label and give me all my money back. I reordered additional cards elsewhere (Walgreen's and the quality was excellent) but Shutterfly won't give me a refund. Please be aware if you're expecting to receive the exact number of items you ordered/paid for…you may be disappointed. I will NEVER order from Shutterfly again and you should not order anything from this company either.

Ordered a book for Christmas, on December 14th guaranteed delivery by December 24th. Called on December 23 because the UPS showed it still in Arizona (I live in MA). I waited for 60 minutes to talk to someone and she told me there was nothing she could do and I would get it the next day. December 24th and no gift. Don't use Shutterfly! Completely unprofessional

This code for 15 free prints and free shipping was supposed to be good through August 25th. Just tried it and it doesn't work. Over and over again I have wasted time thinking I was going to get a good deal from Shutterfly only to be disappointed. I am done with Shutterfly!

Tip for consumers:
Their shipping costs are ridiculous!!! Even if you have a promo code that works, if it doesn't include free shipping, you are better off using Walmart!!!

Just received my holiday cards and they are quite underwhelming. At the price they charged, I would have expected a bit more pizzazz. I called them and they were not helpful. The main issue is the card looked they were foiled and they were not.
So don't order from them. I ordered some from Costco instead and they looked perfect and much better quality for half the price.

Ordered 80 holiday photo cards and 80 envelopes on Nov 29th. Estimated arrival date was Dec 12-16th. It is now evening of Dec 22nd and still no cards and no ability to reach Shutterfly. I have put my number on the waiting list for a call back. Well, no call back yesterday and nor today. $140 down the drain. I am so upset as I could have easily ordered from another company... which is where I will give my business in the future. You lost a loyal customer.

I ordered 2 photo blankets at the beginning of November. It's not the 10th of December and I have had to reorder both blanket 2 times then when I did finally received the blankets one was good the other one had 5 of the 9 heads cut off. When i reviewed my order it showed everthing was placed properly so I am no waiting on one blanket for the third time and being a Christmas gift it is prolly not Going to make it to me on time. When I called customer service because I live in canada they would not do anything to get it to me faster. So here I am playing the waiting game and stressing that it won't be here in time. The first photo is what I thought was coming... the second photo is what I actually got. Having said all that... the blanket was very nice and the pictures turned out beautifully just disappointed all the heads were cut off.

I placed an order for 2 prints. One (the 8x10) arrived in a timely fashion. Fine. The second was a 16x20. I understood that would take longer. But one week later, they have no idea about anything. Is it printed? They don't know. When might it ship? They don't know. They didn't even have accurate tracking info for the 8 x 10 that I already had, they said it would arrive in another week after I had it. Do business with a local company, they might care and might even know what's happening. Heck, they might even be able to say something besides "be patient and wait for your order". Direct quote.

Canadian client here... calling customer service for my issue was the biggest waste of time! They sent me in circles, said they would follow up and didnt, sent me to a 3rd party site that didnt work. I am so aggravated by all the time I spent only to be told that I could not benefit from the promotion I saw on `shutterfly.com` which would have been fine to hear the first time I called but not after calling 4 times to figure out the issue - accomodation should happen when you waste a clients time THAT much. I will never use this provide again. The costco partnership is also BS! Does not take away 49% more like 10% off the total. SHUTTERFLY US and SHUTTERFLY CANADA should not be ``different companies``. What a misleading client experience all around. It took 4 phone calls for someone to tell me I had to call shutterfly Canada. I should have just picked up the phone and talked to thin air. What a time-wasting company.

I can't get a response from Shutterfly on some Christmas cards i ordered on Dec2 and they've been sitting waiting for USPS to pickup since Dec. 7th. I try to contact them and a robot response is unable to help me! Where's your customer service? Is my order lost?

We ordered our wedding album, it printed with an error and they refuse to replace it. Just offer 50% off a new one and charge us for the "free" gifts it came with. DO NOT USE THIS SITE. Their customer service is horrible, they do not give a s*** about your photos.

Ordered a mug way before Christmas with delivery listed as December 23rd. Mug delivered December 28th at night. Styrofoam box was damaged as well as the mug. Their customer service is a run around at best. I will never order again from Shutterfly!

Do NOT order from Shutterfly! Their coupons are misleading! $20 off of $50 or more are actually $10 off. Customer Service was no help and when I asked to speak to a supervisor she was rude and talked over me. She would not listen to me. She compared their coupon to Kohls or JCPenney. I wasn't ordering from those stores, I was trying to order from Shutterfly! Wish I would've read the reviews first!

Paid for items to be here no later than Christmas and they claimed it would be here on the 21st. It's 8 pm Christmas Day and my fathers gift has yet to arrive. Guessing it's won't be showing up tonight as promised (second). Items weren't cheap and I expect when items for holidays are ordered and promised arrival date for it to be done. Most likely won't be trusting this site anymore. Shouldn't promise arrival dates I'd you aren't positive it's arriving on that timeframe. Extremely unsatisfied.

Order way ahead so they arrive on actual expected date because dates promised by this company won’t be fulfilled

After paying $1,000 for the images from our daughter's senior photo photographer, Shutterfly was the first place I thought of for ordering prints for the family. They came today and I am so disappointed. The wallet sizes are passable, but the 4x6 and 5x7 prints are horrible. Her lipstick is bleeding onto her teeth, her nose is pixelated. They're a mess. I guess it's time to move on to a better company for prints.

We have ordered hundreds of school pictures, mugs, calenders, etc. Out last order was spring pictures. What we received was unacceptable. Mind you we ordered the digital package from school. What we received had the orientation reversed so most the picture was cut off an there was only a headshot. One of them cut the younger siblings lower 1/4 face out of the picture. When customer service was contacted they said we would have to replace the order and repay. Minded you these were taken and sent to them VIA Lifetouch

I paid for guarantee shipping date and now 7 days later my order hasnt even been made by production. Customer service is horrible and gives absolutely no info. I paid for a "Guarantee date" and Shutterfly Customer service says to me things happen nothing is guaranteed. Never never again will i use Shutterfly! Stear clear and use a different company

I ordered a custom framed and matted photo frame with three pics in it on 12/12/23 for my brother's Xmas gift. At checkout, I selected the Guaranteed Delivery option for an extra $19.99 to make sure it arrived before Xmas. The Guaranteed Delivery date at the time I placed the order was "no later than 12/22." On 12/18 I get an email from Shutterfly that the item has shipped. The next day I checked the tracking to see the progress..."arrival date - 12/26." Yes, that's 12/26, the day after Xmas. I get on chat with Shutterfly. I say I paid for Guaranteed Delivery. I'm told, "Sorry, we have a lot of orders." What?! I say I paid for Guaranteed Delivery, which Shutterfly offered, and it was to be delivered before Xmas...The rep offers to credit me for the cost of the $19.99 for Guaranteed Delivery. Wow. When Shutterfly shipped my item on 12/18, Shutterfly knew that UPS Ground was never ever going to get that item to me by 12/21, so Shutterfly should've expedited the shipping right when it was shipped, since Shutterfly offered GUARANTEED DELIVERY. Or call UPS now and change it to expedited. Or how about give me a heads up that it's not going to actually be a Guaranteed Delivery after all. Now it's 12/22 and I just checked the progress again...it still says the same thing it said on 12/18..."the item has left the facility." It also says that the next shipping update will be provided on 12/22. Well it's just about midnight on 12/22, so... For all I know, my item isn't even made yet.

Take your covid fee and shove it. Businesses and corporate companies making millions off covid and your charging loyal customers a covid fee.

People should use another online photo site, shutterfly doesn't care about customers.

Ordered a 8x10 glass picture of a friend who lost her son and wanted it before the funeral which was on 12/3/22. Placed the 1st order 11/22 when it arrived the corners were broken. The second order 12/5/22, arrived corners broken. Re ordered again, this time the picture came in great condition but it wasn't my picture, it belonged to someone else. The last order I am still waiting for it to arrive. The reason this happens is because the glass pictures are not wrapped and secure when sending, that upon delivery, which it gets thrown all over the place, UPS saids it's not their fault. The fault belongs to who ever wraps these packages to go out. I am sooooo frustrated! This is a company that I will NEVER order from again. I have a few friends that order from Shutterfly, I will convince them to go else where. So beware, especially when ordering anything in glass!

The MyPublisher program that my whole family and I had came to love is gone replaced by this disaster "sister"company. That is what I was told when I called them and asked where all my MyPublisher photos, projects and options(book sizes) had disappeared to with the take over by Shutterfly. Now after taking the time again (as children expect their year book of memories) to relearn the system- they lose my item by taking a short cut and employing USPS to deliver from UPS to Miami- really! USPS has again lost the item and their solution is to recreate and send out again by this week- and although that would be great if it was a pair of shoes- ITS NOT, instead it's my sweet daughters photos for who-knows-who to receive. Very sad and scary! Find another company or pay for the highest end shipping if you want to protect your purchases.

I've ordered projects from Shutterfly twice this year. The first project was a couple hundred 4x6 prints that got lost in the mail and they had to send me a duplicate set that took a couple of weeks to get all that finalized.
This month, December 2022, I ordered a 16x20 print that left Washington State on the 14th and it is now the 22nd and once again they cannot tell me where my package is. I bought this for a Christmas present of course and now I don't know if I can even get it framed in time or if it will even show up before Christmas. I do like Shutterfly it's just that they're shipping sucks and I probably will never order from them again.

I ordered 11x14 Photo Book and I am not happy about the work done:(
The quality of the print was really poor, I must say extremely bad.
The original photographs are in good quality, resolution and color.
In the book the print is evidently bad, everything is too red and too yellow, all people faces and hair are literally red!... Some photos have "grain" and "lines"...

I spent several weeks combing through 18 years of photos and putting together a beautiful photo book for my son for his high school graduation gift. When I tried to add the book to my cart to order it, the book got corrupted. I tried to reopen the book and it wouldn't load. That was a week ago... customer service is aware of the problem... says it had something to do with their Memorial Day promotion. It was supposed to be fixed today 6/5/17, but they won't guarantee that the book will make it in time for my son's graduation on 6/8/17. It is 6pm on 6/5 and the problem is still not fixed. I'm beginning to believe that they aren't going to be able to recover the book. What a waste of time... what a disappointment. I'm all done with Shutterfly. I'm telling everyone I know to stay away from Shutterfly.

We have been using Shutterfly for over a decade. We adopted our daughter 13 years ago at birth and have been updating folders (EVERY MONTH FOR 13 YEARS!) to share pictures of our daughter with her birth family. We trusted Shutterfly and after sending an email that probably was sent to spam, changing their policies, Shutterfly deactivated our account and all accounts deemed "inactive." I should have backed them up, but do not have a computer or computer skills to do that. After being a customer for so long, I would have thought that reaching out to their customers in multiple ways could have solved this problem. Shutterfly does not care about your family or your memories!

This company will go out of business shortly. They have horrible reviews and poor service!

Placed an order on dec 14th paid extra for "guaranteed delivery" for dec 27th. I'm still waiting and it's passed the 27th and says my order hasn't even been shipped yet. This was my first time using Shutterfly and Im very disappointed and will not be using it again.
