I've created 27 projects over the past 15 years on Shutterfly. This includes 15 different photo books. Each and every time, I've always received excellent, professional customer service and beautiful books. I custom design all my books. There may have been a couple of times over the years that I needed Shutterfly to help with a mistake. However, they stand behind there products 100%. If you aren't an experienced design person then ask for help. Use high quality photos! Remember Shutterfly didn't take the pictures. The photo quality of books and cards depend on what you upload. Low quality photos will create poor quality projects; so don't blame Shutterfly for your photos. They will make what you approve. Start your project early enough to allow for help and receive book in ample time in case the book or cards need to be possibly replaced if it's the direct fault of Shutterfly.
I ordered three photo books. The order was processed, they gave me a delivery date and then only one book came in the mail. No explanation- I figured it was an error and called customer service. I was told that it would come in two shipments---Why? This makes no sense and was a huge inconvenience. Now I see all the complaints I understand this is not a one off. I will not use them again. Way too expensive for such poor service!
I USED to buy both my family and create my parents Christmas cards at Shutterfly. Due to issues with the site I switched to another brand. They had a design I liked so I thought I would give them a try. Regrets. The website was difficult with downloaded photos leaving the site and even the texting function was not working well in the design process.
The most disappointing was that my order was sent without more than half the envelopes. When I called to get them they told me it would take over a week to send them. This would make my Christmas cards not-so-Christmas cards. Could have been a easy fix with a priority 2 day ship. Did I mention they forget envelops in previous years? They did, but at least they knew how to correct the issue better back then. So I would say, their website and customer service is on the decline. No more Christmas Cards from this company.
Black Friday promo / no discount given on order. 7 emails to customer service no reply - tried on line chat- over 82 min of hold … and no help. Davis and Lucy specifically were not helpful. They offer 100 percent happiness guarantee which they don't honor. I've asked over and over for a manger. No calls back. Do not use..

I just got my customized photo book from Shutterfly. And when I first opened it I notice there was a page that looked off. And later I discovered that the pages were glued together… I don't even know how this happens or where the glue came from bc they didn't need to use glue on my product. Pictures were beautiful but I now have to pages that look off. I kind of wish I would've kept them glued together to hide the flaws.
I was going to use the book as my guest book and just hope no one notices the glue marks.
Also, customer service is weird. I wish you could review products that you've bought specifically.
My husband is a photographer and we ordered a large order from shutterfly. When it arrived the frame was slightly misaligned and did not look great. When I called to discuss the issue the customer service was fantastic and the agent went above and beyond to help us. Mistakes happen but how you handle it says a lot. I am a firm believer in good customer service. I will be a lifelong customer of Shutterfly now.

I ordered Xmas cards and 3 ornaments on 12/5. ETA 12/19. Only the Xmas cards and 1 ornament arrived on time. Shipped One wrong ornament- it's faces of diff set of people we don't know. One ornament was lost. Re-orders taking another 10-12 days and ETA is AFTER cHristmas. Their web and mobile order processing is terribly broken. Customer service and clients are seeing diff things on the clients portal. Stay away from this company

The only reason I used this service is because Costco transferred their photo services to them. Never had a problem with Costco. But Shutterfly has lost 75% of an almost $75 order of prints. There is no way to leave feedback, no phone number and the chat function is a joke. Horrible service, almost non existent customer service and I can't get my prints. Costco please offer a better solution than this sorry company.
Our main picture was washed out, the photo was professionally done and downloaded from the photographer as a digital copy. They did not include the back. We also selected to have them stamped and sent and now they arrived at my house 12/28 and will not get to anyone until next year. We've always used them and usually have a great experience. This year was not. I tried to contact them and it was impossible without downloading the app that I don't want on my phone.

Placed a large order with Shutterfly for Christmas. Received a partial order of ornaments. The partial order was missing four identical ornaments. Contacted Shutterfly and was informed the missing four ornaments would be included in the next two shipments. A few days later, received the second partial shipment which contained two of the missing ornaments. I did not receive word on the third partial shipment. When checked the status online on the estimated arrival date, it showed not shipped. Contacted Shutterfly again and was told it was shipped with an arrival date of December 26 using UPS smartmail. After getting unacceptable answers from a customer service representative, asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor stated since the order had already shipped, the best he could do was to refund the shipping fees. ( It was free shipping due to the order amount.) So now we have just a little over half the ornaments that were ordered.
I sent a graduation photo of my son that was done by a professional photography to make photo cards…. The set came and the picture was blurry even though the original was clear…. They agreed to reprint and it came the exact same way as the first time… I spoke to Paige in customer service and she said they will investigate to see what went wrong… I am very disappointed because I have purchased other things and never had a problem… the cards were not cheap either for the quality of service that I received…. The one Shutterfly did and the original….
For years, I developed and maintained detailed, captioned photo shared sites on Shutterfly, documenting my wife's and my travel around the world. Early in 2023, Shutterfly closed and erased our shared site, along with those of thousands of other customers. Although Shutterfly claims to have provided advance notice, we never received any. Shutterfly offered not so much as an apology for destroying what took a huge amount of work, over many years' time.

Your shipping charges are ridiculous! For three very small ornaments, you want to charge $24 which is half the price for the small, lightweight ornaments I would have purchased. No thank you… you can keep them. So sad you can't be more reasonable!
Only concerned about making the sale. Shipped on 12/5/22 and on 12/19/22 I still don't have the cards. The "Mail Innovations" service is worthless and the customer service/tracker is useless. The promises began on 12/12/22 to expect delivery that day, and confirmed weather was not the issue all week. Today, 1219/2022, a customer service representative confirmed that Shutterfly knew by 12/15 that the order was lost. Even as of today, the order status still shows as on its way and will be delivered any minute. Too late for Christmas cards for us this year.

I ordered a canvas it did not come, said it was delivered, they re-ordered. It still did not come. I spent 45 minutes on the phone to get a refund. They told me they issued a refund and the refund was short $20. I feel like it's not worth my time to even call them back again. Customer support is horrible just don't order anything from them. Ever.

I was very satisfied once my first shipment arrived and then placed a second order and they arrived but the corners on these pictures are slightly peeling and bent :/ it's not enough to ruin the picture but enough for me to notice it otherwise i would have given 5 stars. Thank you again tho for the great pictures!

I ordered Christmas cards on Nov 28, the cards were ready and shipped on Dec 3, it's Dec 13 and my Christmas cards still have not arrived. You would think if you spend over $80, they would ensure you get your package at a reasonable timeframe. Won't be using them anymore

I received my phone case today and it doesn't fit! I though no big deal they will send me a new one, nope they sure wont. They said it was just a small fee of 10.59, and if I would like to pay to return it they can refund my money. How about you send the correct product in the first place.
I have ordered from Shutterfly for years. I just ordered 4,000 pictures. I got them all, the quality is AWFUL, and worse- they are all shuffled. Not one picture from 3+ years is in order. I have to sort through 4,000 $#*!ty quality pics to arrange them in my photo albums. It already took hours to go through all of my photos to place the order. Am I really supposed to reorder from a different company now?! I'm so mad and disappointed!

While the site provides a myriad of options, products, and tools, actually getting product from Shutterfly has been problematic Shipping estimates were consistently wrong by over a week or two. I placed three orders. None arrived within 3 days of the shipping estimate. In fact, one left NC to NY, then to OH, NY again, now OH (9 days after the arrival estimate). Also, all three showed as shipped 3 to 4 days before they were actually handed to a shipper.
I ordered school photos for my granddaughter and the picture I received was someone else's child pretty unimpressed with them, I purchased this online and do not have a proof of purchase if this keeps my review from being posted that is pretty crappy but hey anything to protect the ones who don't produce.
I had a problem with my order I received. I called the posted number. The website says 100% happiness guaranteed.
I got a man who did not understand English.
I said my name for him. He asked me to say it phonetically. WHAT?
I have been on the line for 40 minutes now and my problem has still not been addressed.

I had an enlargement made of my husband in his military uniform. The top of his head and a large portion of his arms were not showing which is pretty important when wearing a military uniform. It was very disappointing to receive the "fixed" photo looking the same way... Very disappointed in the quality... I mean, how hard is it? So much for this Christmas gift...
This site has the worst customer service / experience in the world. I have spent 3 days trying to purchase Xmas cards and each time I try to check out my price increases or the site times out. So unacceptable and I guess I am an idiot for trying so many times. I bet tomorrow when their prices go up I i will be able to complete my order. I will NEVER use this site again. It's a waste of my time.
Done many books with them. Don't see some features on the book I'm working on. Called customer service. Was transferred 5 times, no one could help me AND I was disconnected twice. They have definitely lost my business!
Ordered Christmas cards 11/29/21. Was told they would be to me by 12/9/21. I haven't received them. The online tracker shows an "exception" - whatever that means. I've called and chatted with Shutterfly with no resolution. Generally, they're good. I've used them for years. However, this year is extremely frustrating trying to get information about the cards whereabouts and delivery time. My advise, don't order if you're on a deadline.
